"Are you okay, Aaron? You seem annoyed."
Reid walked up behind Hotch and wrapped his arms around his waist, resting his chin on his shoulder.
"I'm fine." He answered through gritted teeth, unwrapping Reid's arms from around him and moving to the drinks cabinet. Reid looked wounded by the manoeuvre.
"You don't seem fine. You've been like this since we got home. Have I done something to upset you?" Reid asked with a slight tilt of the head.
"I don't know, Spencer. Have you?" Hotch asked, turning to his partner, scotch in hand. Reid's brows furrowed. Firstly at the response and his lack of an answer and secondly at the scotch.
"You only drink scotch when you're stressed." Reid said, concern lacing his voice.
"Do you think I have a reason to be stressed?" Hotch's grip tightened slightly on the glass.
"I didn't think so. It's our anniversary." Reid moved forward with a soft smile on his face reaching up to stroke Hotch's cheek, trying to coax a smile out of his sullen lover.
"Anniversary." Hotch scoffed, taking a large swig of his scotch.
Reid's face twitched with confusion, he licked his lip nervously, feeling a little hurt.
"I thought we'd had a good night. I loved it." Reid smiled, moving his hand down to Hotch's arm to squeeze it.
"So did I, until you couldn't help yourself." Hotch sneered, shrugging his partner's hand off him.
Reid's mouth dropped open. "What?" His bewilderment was genuine. "Couldn't help myself... what do you mean?"
"Don't play dumb. It doesn't suit you." Hotch snapped.
Reid's mouth snapped shut for a brief moment, his mind working at a hundred miles an hour trying to decipher exactly what his angry lover could be referring to. He came up empty. "I'm sorry, Aaron, but I genuinely don't know what you're talking about."
"You completely embarrassed me tonight." Hotch took another swig of his whisky, finishing the glass. He quickly poured himself another.
Reid's cheeks flushed red. He was used to feeling like an embarrassment. It was one of his biggest insecurities, mainly because he often didn't realise what he was doing that could be deemed embarrassing to others. "What did I do?" He asked innocently, taking his lover's words as gospel.
"You tell me." Hotch said moodily. His drinking pace was gaining momentum.
Reid bit his bottom lip. Thinking back, he couldn't think of anything that would cause the strength of reaction he was seeing. Perhaps it was him going off on a tangent about the origins of Italian food in America.
"Did I talk too much? I'm sorry, I was just excited to be out with you." He said. Hotch usually didn't seem to mind his ramblings. There were times where Reid could see he found them cute. But there were other times where he just told him to 'clam up', because he needed some peace or just didn't have the energy to follow them. Which was understandable.
"No." Hotch said firmly. Reid looked confused once again.
"Is it what I'm wearing?" He knew that Hotch often found his clothing choices odd but he really had made an effort tonight, wearing his best black suit with lilac tie. Hotch had even told him how gorgeous he looked, which always made him blush. Maybe it was the socks. He was always trying to get him to wear 'normal' socks. On a special night he supposed he should really have made the effort, just this once.
"If you don't know then this is just pointless." Hotch said coldly, turning back to the drinks cabinet.
Reid was quickly at his side trying to placate him, desperate for him not to shut him out. He soothingly ran his hand up and down Hotch's back.
"Aaron, I'm sorry. You know I'm not good at stuff like this. Please just tell me what I've done. I really don't want it to ruin our evening. Whatever it is I promise I will make it up to you." He nuzzled into his shoulder trying to get Hotch to soften.
"I can't always be spelling stuff out for you, Spencer."
"I'm sorry." He said, resting his forehead against Hotch's shoulder. "Please, tell me." Hotch turned, breaking the contact between them.
"You and that server." Reid's brows furrowed and his eyes glanced around, trying to recall what Hotch might be referring to. He looked at him, completely clueless, urging him to go on. "You behaved like I wasn't even there."
"Which server?" Reid tilted his head. Hotch shot him a look. "What? The one who served us dessert?"
"The one who pretty much told me that I'm punching above my weight. The one you couldn't stop flirting with."
"He never said that... Wait, flirting? I wasn't flirting! Aaron, I barely know how to flirt!" Reid laughed, trying to diffuse the situation. "You've said so yourself!"
"I've never felt so embarrassed in my life. Watching you smiling and laughing at him while I'm sitting there looking like a fool."
"Smiling and laughing? Aaron, I... he just gave me a compliment and I said thank you! I was just being polite."
"I didn't realise being polite involved flirting right in front of your partner who you're supposed to be on an anniversary date with. God, you looked like such a whore." Hotch snarled.
Reid's face dropped "Don't call me that."
"Then don't behave like one." Hotch poured himself another drink and moved away from Reid, sitting himself down on the couch. Reid stood back in shock.
His mouth dropped open again then he crossed his arms, frowning. "Aaron, this isn't fair. I haven't done anything."
Hotch laughed. "So you're saying I imagined you flirting with that guy then?"
Reid sucked a breath in through his teeth. He felt there was no right answer to this. "I don't know what this is." He moved towards Hotch and sat next to him, putting a hand on his thigh. He squeezed gently. "I don't have eyes for anyone but you. You know that."
"This is all me then?" Hotch snapped. "Stop gaslighting me, Spencer." He knocked his hand off his leg.
"I- I'm not!" Reid's breath was starting to pick up now, his eyes welled up. "Aaron, please, don't do this, not tonight."
"And now you're upset." Hotch rolled his eyes. "Typical. So now, as always, I look like the bad guy." Reid took a deep breath, fighting back the tears that were threatening to overspill.
"Sorry. You're not the bad guy. I just wasn't expecting this. I thought we'd had a good night. I really don't want anything to ruin it."
Hotch looked at him, his eyes cold. "Well you should have thought about that before you showed me up."
"I didn't-" Hotch's hand was suddenly in Reid's hair pulling his head to the side. Reid gasped and his hand went up to try and relieve the tension. This wasn't like Aaron. He would on occasion be a little too forceful but he never explicitly went out of his way to cause him pain.
"You just can't stop, can you? I'm telling you how I feel and you can't just listen for once. You've always got to have the last word." His hand tightened in his hair.
Reid winced. "Aaron, please. You're hurting me." He said gently, sending wide pleading eyes Hotch's way hoping to snap him out of it.
Hotch laughed scornfully, letting go of Reid's head, shoving him away. "Hurting you? Man up, Spencer."
Reid automatically stood up, his hand tracing the spot where Aaron's fingers had dug in a little too hard. His face was set in a deep frown. He didn't know what to make of any of it. All he knew was that he didn't want it to get any worse.
"I'm going to bed." He said with a sigh.
"No, you're not." Hotch said firmly.
"Yes, I am. I don't want to fight with you."
"You can sleep on the couch." Hotch spat.
Reid scoffed, a small laugh leaving his lips. "I'm not sleeping on the couch, Aaron. This is ridiculous."
Hotch stood, anger sparking in him. "Oh, so now I'm ridiculous?"
"I didn't say you are ridiculous. I said this, this situation. It's our anniversary. We shouldn't be arguing like this." Reid was getting exasperated now. All he wanted to do was come home and go to bed with the love of his life. This was the last thing he wanted.
Hotch put his glass down on the coffee table and approached Reid slowly. His eyes were cold and Reid shifted uncomfortably under his gaze. It wasn't a look he was used to seeing in his partner's face when he looked at him.
"Well maybe if you didn't ruin it, we wouldn't be arguing like this."
Reid rolled his eyes feeling his frustration getting the better of him. "Okay, I'm sorry for what I have done. I'm sorry I ruined the evening. Can we please just go to bed?"
"You don't get to do that." Hotch shook his head, behaving like Reid was trying to drive him crazy.
"Do what?" Reid licked his lips again, his nervous tell.
Hotch grabbed his wrist and pulled him close to him. "Give some half-assed apology and think it's all okay. You ruined the our special night and you think you can just say a couple of meaningless words and it'll all be okay?" He squeezed Reid's wrist hard, he tried to twist it free but couldn't.
"I don't know what you want from me." Reid said nervously.
"I want you to apologise for embarrassing me." Reid tried to break his wrist free again, not wanting to apologise for something that he didn't understand. Hotch just squeezed even harder, his fingers digging deep into the bone. Reid winced and gasped, his body contorted to try and relieve the pressure.
"Okay, okay! I'm sorry for embarrassing you!" He said in a slight panic.
"And for acting like a whore." Reid's mouth dropped open at this.
"What? No!" Hotch twisted his wrist slightly, sending a shooting pain up his forearm.
"Ah!" Reid 's eyes filled with tears. "Okay! I'm sorry for acting like a whore! I'm sorry!" He choked out.
Hotch held his wrist for a few moments longer, examining his younger lover's face. He then let go. Reid breathed a sigh of relief and a tear escaped his eye running down his cheek. Hotch's hands were then on his face. He flinched slightly at the touch, looking at his partner with unsure eyes.
"Thank you." He said gently, pulling Reid into a chaste kiss. "I love you." Reid was holding his wrist against his chest, rubbing it to relieve the ache that was now present. Something like this had never happened before. Hotch had never laid his hands on him with the sole intention of hurting him. It made Reid shiver. Hotch moved his hand to the back of Reid's head and pulled him into a more passionate kiss.
Reid was so taken aback that he didn't react, allowing Hotch to deepen the kiss, the taste of whisky was overwhelming. As he started to become more passionate, Reid braced his hands against the older man's chest trying to maintain some control, his nervousness getting the better of him. Hotch pulled away from the kiss and looked down at the hands.
"Were you going to push me away?" Hotch asked incredulously. Reid shook his head, biting his bottom lip. His heart was in his throat. He didn't seem to be able to do anything right. "You'd rather be kissing that server, I guess." Hotch said childishly.
"No!" Reid grabbed Hotch's face. "Never in a million years." He said gently, trying his best to calm the situation. Hotch was making him genuinely edgy. He'd seen pangs of his jealousy before. He had always been possessive. It was one of the things Reid loved about the relationship. He felt protected. There was something about the thought of being 'owned' by Aaron that turned him on and made him feel special. Sometimes it could move into the realms of irrational, but Reid understood his insecurities. Hotch was protective of him, he didn't want anyone to hurt him or take advantage of him. But never had it led to Aaron questioning his loyalty. "I am yours. I always will be."
"Prove it." Hotch said commandingly. Reid's hands shook slightly as he held onto Hotch's face, his brows furrowed. How could he prove something that is already so apparent in everything he does?
"You already know, Aaron." He said reassuringly, kissing his lover's face gently. He kissed his eyes, his nose, forehead, chin, cheeks. "I love you so much. You're my world." He stared deep into Hotch's eyes, desperate for him to soften his gaze. He couldn't believe that their wonderful anniversary date had come to this. He thought they'd have been in bed and all over each other by now.
Hotch sighed. "I need to be able to trust you, baby. I've lost so much, I can't lose you too."
Reid looked at Hotch softly. His mouth pouting a little to reflect his sadness. He understood what Hotch meant. After Haley he had never thought he'd love again. Reid knew that he struggled with the idea of opening up his heart to someone else. He was terrified of repeating the sense of loss that Haley's death had brought. Reid stroked his face.
"You can trust me with your life. Like I trust you with mine. I'm not going anywhere." He spoke softly and passionately, giving him a gentle kiss on the lips. "You're stuck with me forever." Reid smiled, breathing out a little laugh, trying to lighten the mood. He moved forward to kiss him again when he was suddenly pushed back.
"And now you're laughing at me?" Hotch looked hurt. Reid opened his mouth to speak but was cut off. "I open up to you about my insecurities and you fucking laugh at me, Spencer?" Reid was starting to feel dizzy with the amount of about turns his lover was doing tonight. He couldn't keep up. His mouth fell open uselessly. "Don't look at me like that, you know I hate when you do that." Hotch said with disgust, referring to Reid's open mouth. It was something he had mentioned in the past when Reid was deep in thought as he had a tendency to let his mouth drop open. Hotch would tap him on the shoulder and tell him to close it. You look like you're catching flies. Or more embarrassingly: If you don't close it the Sheriff will put his dick in it. Reid's mouth snapped shut, a hurt look washed over him. "I'm going to bed." Hotch said moodily, brushing Reid to the side.
Reid blinked a couple of times then dropped his gaze to the floor as a feeling of depression set in. This was not how tonight was supposed to go. Sighing, he followed him up the stairs. Hotch turned around in the doorway of the bedroom.
"Where do you think you're going?" Reid looked up at him through confused and unsure puppy eyes.
"To bed." His inflection rose a little, making it almost sound like a question.
"I told you. You're on the couch tonight."
"But Aaron-"
"Come here." He said suddenly, cutting his young lover off. As always, Reid followed his command, though he looked more than a little guarded about it.
Hotch once again grabbed him by the hair, this time pulling his head back so his mouth was level with his. He kissed him passionately, pushing his tongue into Reid's mouth, he spun them so Reid was pushed up against the door frame. Reid was caught halfway between nervous and completely aroused. Aaron was always commanding in the bedroom. Again, it was something Reid particularly enjoyed. He trusted Aaron with his life, which meant he trusted him fully with his body too. Even if he did sometimes get a little too rough for Reid's liking. Compromise is part of a relationship. And Reid could tolerate occasional discomfort in return for the amount of things Aaron let slide about him. He was more than aware of how annoying he could be sometimes.
A hand came up to clamp around his throat. His eyes widened a little. Hotch was still plundering his mouth with his tongue. The hand pulled him away from the doorframe and backed him up towards the bed. One of Reid's hands grasped Hotch's wrist, monitoring the movement around his throat. The other held onto his lover's hip to steady himself as he was manoeuvred around the room. He was unable to look where he was going thanks to the hand in his hair and the passionate kisses. He could feel Hotch's arousal pressing firmly against his leg. His own stirred and he moaned as Hotch bit his lip possessively.
Pulling away from the kiss, Hotch fixed a firm gaze on his lover, not removing his hands from their controlling position.
"Strip."
A shiver of excitement ran down Reid's spine and his hands were soon coming up to undo his tie and unbutton his shirt. Orders like that simply had to be obeyed.
"You'll do anything for me, won't you, baby?" Hotch cooed into his ear, licking it and making his younger lover shudder. He knew that was one of his most sensitive spots, along with his neck and the inside of his thighs. Reid moaned and nodded as best he could, his mouth opened to speak and Hotch once again captured it in a passionate kiss.
Reid shrugged off his shirt as well as he could and moved his hands to his belt. He made quick work of it, pulling it free from the loops. His pants came next and soon they were pooled at his feet along with his boxers. His erection stood free and pressing hard against his stomach, aching to be touched.
Still not releasing control of Reid's head, Hotch guided him down onto the bed. Reid tripped a little over his pants as he moved. His gasp was cut off as the hand around his throat tightened in response.
"Lie down." Hotch pushed him down onto the bed, Reid followed his lead, allowing Aaron to guide his head to the edge of the bed. "Don't move." He said firmly, dragging him so his head was hanging off the edge.
Hotch looked down at the lithe body sprawled out in front of him. The heat in his groin stirred and he was soon removing his belt and pulling down his pants and boxers. He removed his tie and ran his hands down Spencer's arms, pushing his wrists together and tying them tightly. Reid's breath caught as Hotch leaned forward and ghosted a breath across the tip of his erection. He twitched with anticipation. As uncomfortable as it was to have his head hanging off the bed digging into Hotch's thigh, he felt wonderfully exposed. He loved surrendering control to the older man.
Hotch pulled Reid's arms over his head, causing his back to arch uncomfortably. He stood on the end of the tie to stop him pulling them back he ran a hand down Reid's stomach causing him to gasp. As he did he pulled Reid's head back by the chin and pushed his erection into his mouth. Reid 's whole body clenched as he pushed deep into his throat, much further in than Reid could physically cope with.
He didn't like this position. It was something they had tried before and it was all too much for him to cope with. Hotch had promised that they wouldn't do it again and if they did, it would be only on Reid's request.
"Stay still." Hotch ordered with a heavy breath. "Fuck, that's good." He held his erection deep in Reid's throat as the young man gagged and tried to breathe around him. Hotch stroked his throat tenderly. "Relax baby, relax." Reid's knees were now bent, attempting to gain some purchase in the mattress, doing anything to try to ease up the situation. "Spencer, you need to relax or you're going to be sick."
In his panic, he'd forgotten to breathe through his nose. He breathed heavily and quickly, trying to calm himself as he did. Aaron's erection was pressed firmly into his throat and he was right, if he didn't calm down he would be sick all over his lover. That definitely wouldn't make for a good anniversary memory.
"Perfect, baby. You're so good for me." He reached down and ran his finger across the tip of Spencer's erection making his back arch further. He could feel his throat tighten around him. Satisfied that Reid was now in a better position, he started pumping in and out of his throat, starting slowly, watching the lump in his throat swell and shrink as he did.
Tears were escaping from Reid's eyes now. He hated this. It was too much. He felt like he was going to choke. Deep throating was not something he was comfortable or confident with. Butterflies were dancing around in his chest as the panic was slowly building again. He wanted to be able to breathe again, to be able to sit up, to not have his hands so uncomfortably stuck above his head. He tapped three times on Aaron's leg. A signal that he was not coping and wanted to stop. The hand came back to his chin keeping his head tilted painfully backwards. Hotch pulled out, looking down on his lover with a stern expression.
"Red, red, red!" Reid choked out through panicked breaths, already readying his body for when Hotch released him. He pushed against Hotch's hand expecting him to relent. But he didn't.
"We're not playing tonight, Spencer. This is my anniversary present." He inserted himself back into Reid's mouth, moaning as he did. Reid whimpered as the erection hit the back of his throat again and again. Tears ran freely from his eyes now. He was in complete shock and disbelief that Aaron would disregard something as important as a safe word.
"You want to make me happy, don't you baby?" He grabbed hold of Spencer's now softening erection and began pumping. "Just like I want to make you happy." Reid's back arched again as the pleasure ran through his body. The combination of panic and pleasure was overwhelming. He was soon trying to pant around Aaron in his mouth. He had let up somewhat whilst focusing on Reid's pleasure, giving him an opportunity to calm down. Reid's back ached dreadfully with his The back if his head pressed into the side of bed as it was by Aaron's groin. Reid could feel the warm sensation of an orgasm starting to work its way down his legs, he thrust upwards into Aaron's hand, just as he was about to come the hand disappeared. Reid was left teetering on the edge of orgasm and his body ached for it. He groaned, pushing his hips up trying to catch any kind of friction but all he found was air. Then the thrusting into his throat began again catching him off guard and making him choke.
"God you're a good fuck." Hotch moaned out. "That server was right, I am a lucky man."
As nice as it would have been to hear those words under normal circumstances, right now, they meant nothing. Reid's attention was solely focused on not being sick and keeping his panicked limbs from doing everything to escape the situation. Three taps again on Aaron's leg, this time more urgent.
"Spencer. Why are you being so selfish?" Hotch said through heavy breaths. "After everything tonight don't you think this is the least you can do for me?" He held himself deep in Reid's throat again, watching as his legs fidgeted helplessly on the bed. He looked down at his young partner trapped between his groin and the side of bed. "Don't you?" He asked again. A long breath out escaped from his captive lover and a shudder of upset, he nodded his head as best he could.
"Good boy."
Reid's erection was completely gone now. He couldn't stop the tears from coming. Saliva and semen were running down the sides of his face and into his eyes. He screwed them tightly shut as he took his mind through the evening's events.
The restaurant had been wonderful. It was a beautiful place, picked specially by Aaron as he knew that Italian was Reid's favourite. It was an expensive place, so they had dressed in their best suits planning to have an evening of sophisticated dining, good conversation and romance. The food had been amazing. They finished every single bite. They had laughed, kissed and flirted their way through the first two courses. Reid couldn't have been happier. Of all the people in the world Aaron Hotchner could have chosen to spend his life with, he'd picked him. Just looking at him in his expensive suit, clean shaven, with his perfect dark hair, made him feel all warm inside. He spent most of the evening just gazing into his eyes unable to believe that the handsome, strong man in front of him was his. After the second course, Reid had presented him with a bracelet. It was engraved with 04/28/2011. Their first date. Hotch had looked taken aback at the gesture. He put it on straight away and kissed his young lover deeply. It was then that the server approached with dessert.
"Sorry to interrupt! You two look like you're having a good time!" They both smiled at each other and pulled away. Reid blushed a little. The server placed the dessert down in front of Hotch and then in front of Reid. "There you go, handsome. If you weren't already taken I would snap you up for myself!" He said with a small tap on the shoulder. Reid blushed again and smiled, laughing a little uncomfortably.
"Thanks." He said awkwardly, referring more to the delivery of his dessert than anything else. Hotch's eyes narrowed at the man.
"You are a lucky man!" The server said pointedly to Hotch. He raised his eyebrows in response, giving a tight-lipped smile.
"If you need anything else, let me know." He winked at Reid who again, blushed hard and smiled, his perfect teeth on display. His hand came up to rub at his eyebrow in a self-conscious gesture and he tipped his head down, looking up at Hotch across the table. Hotch smiled back, not saying anything.
From then on, Hotch's mood got gradually worse. At first Reid hadn't noticed anything, too lost in his happy little anniversary bubble. But by the time they were in the car, Hotch was barely speaking. Conversation was like pulling teeth. Reid just assumed he was tired and probably wanted to get home. It was only when the mood didn't lift that he became concerned. And now this.
This is not how he foresaw this evening going. Had Aaron forgotten about the bracelet? The gift that Reid had spent weeks picking out for him and even longer deciding what to have engraved. Had he forgotten that anniversaries are supposed to be special, loving occasions where you spend the day telling each other how much you love each other? Not stretching your partner across a bed and using their mouth as your own personal pleasure hole. Had he conveniently forgotten that he had agreed to never do this to him again unless asked?
His breathing sped up again as Aaron's thrusting got harder and faster. He wasn't sure how much longer he could manage before he was sick. He could feel the bile rising up his throat. Mercifully at that moment Hotch came with a loud groan. He pumped into Reid and he could feel the thrumming from his erection as the warm liquid filled his throat and ran out the sides of his mouth and down his face. He gagged again as the taste clashed with the pre-cursor of bile climbing up his throat. Hotch finally pulled out but took hold of his head under his chin and by the hair, pulling it up so it was level with the rest of his body.
"Swallow, baby. Make me happy." Reid looked a mess, he was covered in semen, saliva and tears. His eyes were bloodshot from the stress of gagging. He swallowed thickly, also swallowing down the bile that was about to break free. Hotch bent over and captured his mouth in a passionate kiss again. "I love you, baby."
The second he let go of Reid's head and his foot released the tie, Reid sat up, scurrying away from the edge of the bed. His whole body was shaking and tears ran down his cheeks. He wanted nothing more than to cry. Hotch moved over to him and ran a hand through his hair. "See? I told you that you could do it." Reid just nodded. That much was true. The first time he had safe worded out of that particular position, Hotch had assured him that if they were to try again that he would get used to it. But he had also assured that he would be gentle and patient. That wasn't true.
Hotch reached down to Reid's wrists and undid the tie, allowing him freedom.
"You should clean yourself up. You look a hot mess." He said with a smirk. When Reid made no move, his body was still in shock, Hotch clicked his fingers to get his attention. "Go on! Get moving." He said, gesturing to the door. As if woken from a trance, Reid shifted himself to the edge of the bed and stood on shaky legs moving out of the door and towards the bathroom up the hallway. Suddenly he was stopped by a hand on his wrist. He turned with dazed eyes to see Hotch holding out his pyjamas to him. He took them and Hotch wiped his mouth and kissed him again.
"Good night, Spencer. Thank you for my present."
Reid's brows furrowed and the door closed behind him, he heard the lock click into place. The one meant to keep Jack out when they require some guaranteed privacy.
He assumed Aaron wasn't thanking him for the bracelet. His body shuddered. It looked like he would be taking the couch after all.
He headed to the bathroom and looked in mirror. His hair was stuck up all over the place, he had red finger marks all over his neck from where Aaron had squeezed just that little too tight, his face was flushed, his eyes were puffy and he was covered in body fluids. He felt sick. Turning on the shower, he climbed in. Feeling the hot water rinse away the evidence of what had just happened, he broke down and cried.
Happy Anniversary, Spencer.
