Grimm's POV*

As we began to prepare for the fight against the Orc Lord a streak of white flew by us and hit the ground. Where the streak landed stood a man in a white suit with a plague doctor's mask.

'Oh what is it now!' I yelled in my head just as the figure began to speak.

"What is the meaning of this?! Why have you ruined the great Gelmud's ingenious plan?!" He yelled to everyone as Rimuru, Flora and me flew down to the ground and put away our wings.

He then continued to rant, "You great oaf! If you had just evolved into a demon lord already there would be no need for a greater Majin like myself to take center stage!!"

Using [Thought Communication] the three of us began to talk, "So this is a Majin," I said, "Bit underwhelming aren't they?"

Before either of the others could respond the Orc Lord spoke, "What do you mean … evolve into … Demon lord?"

Gelmud simply tilted his head down in frustration as Gabiru ran towards the Majin, "Master Gelmud! Have you come to save me in my hour of need?! I'm sorry for my failure. And I had Lapace's warning and everything…"

As Gabiru petered out Gelmud raised his cane and launched an attack called death march dance.

Seeing the very obvious attack the three of us lunged forward. I raised my shield above us while Flora assisted Rimuru against any errant blasts from the attack.

As the attack ended the idiot told to orc lord to eat the very much still alive Gabiru. Though some part of me wanted the gecko to die but I'd hurt relations and all that.

As the dust cloud faded Gelmud was taken by surprise as Rimuru began to speak, "So you've been naming multiple monsters, eh? Is that your little plan?"

Gabiru then began to talk as well regarding the man who just attempted to take his and his subordinates' lives.

"Master Gelmud … Wh-why? I thought you said that I had promise … that I might one day serve as your right hand!"

Just then Benimaru walked by a spoke as well, "Anyone he cannot use, he gets rid of. That's how he does things. Greetings Gele…er Gelmud was it? Despite being rejected by the entirety of the ogre village, it seems that you managed to do some naming after all."

Gelmud then was taken by surprise as Hakuro and Shion also appeared besides Benimaru, "K … Kijin!"

Shion stopped him from speaking further, "Are you the one who set the orcs upon our village?" she asked

Gelmud then took a step back as Hakuro continued, "If not, you ought to explain yourself now. I was just starting to get bored of slaying this endless horde of orcs. But when given a chance for vengeance my bloodlust picks right back up."

Gelmud then attacked in a vain attempt to kill the three of them. Only for them to date and lose one of his ears to Benimaru.

As Gelmud made an attempt to flee he was stopped by Shion and Hakuro.

At the same time Ranga and Zino linked back up with us as Ranga passed Gabiru he spoke, "Forget him. That man tried to kill you. It was my lords who saved you along with your loyal retinue."

Now. It was time to fight the Orc Lord. As the three of us were walking towards the Orc Lord we told Ranga and Zino to not interrupt the Kijin's act of justice.

As we began to approach the group in that time Soei and Venus had closed the distance with Venus wielding a longsword and had cut the bastard up well. Along with Soei using his thread fetters to hurt the Majin even more. Soon Gelmud called out to the Orc Lord.

"H-help me Orc Lord! I mean Geld!" he cried.

Only for Geld to cut Gelmud down.

Then Geld ate Gelmud which began his transformation into a demon lord seed. We were informed by Great Sage/Advisor that the words that said that he was undertaking this evolution were the Words of the World.

As he was evolving he released a cloud of aura that consumed a nearby dead orc and melted it. The three of us were untouched. Rimuru's body simply absorbed it and our's emitted a minor amount of dragon energy which canceled the aura out.

The now ascendent Orc Lord spoke with more emotion than he had in the entire battle, "My name is Geld. But you may call me 'Geld, Orc Disaster'!"

The remaining orcs around us bowed to their new king. But as he was about to attack Benimaru took the lead and ordered Shion to attack even if it was unsaid. Soon Shion was thrown back only for Hakuro to take off the Orc Lord's head.

but his body did not tremble and fall. No he retaliated against Hakuro, who dodged the attack, and reattached his head.

Venus came charging in with her long sword and attempted to perform a helmbreaker only for Geld to dodge and counter which she was able to reflect but it still sent her flying away. In which time a combo was unleashed by Soei and Benimaru. After Soei put the Orc Lord into a cocoon of thread fetters it soon exploded into a giant blast of Hellflare.

Then he ordered Zino and Ranga to attack after the flare faded. And in an single moment two mighty bolts of lighting struck their target one vibrant blue and the other a violent red.

as a cost of this Ranga exhausted his magicules and Zino's Dracophage bugs withdrew from the fight, "Zino," Flora called out, "Pull back and assist the others against the orcs."

As Zino ran off with a howl the dust settled and revealed a heavily damaged Geld. Only for him to eat both his own severed arm but also a willing orc sacrifice. After he was done eating the Orc Lord was back in full health.

However we were not idle. We marched towards Geld. I had Red Rook at the ready with Flora brandishing her Queen Rapier.

The Orc Lord then looked to Rimuru before speaking, "Kijin, Big Wolf, Wyverns. There were seven tasty morsels there. Where did big wolf go?"

Rimuru answered Geld, "You mean Ranga? He's in my shadow."

The Orc Lord was still slow so he asked another question, "You ate it?"

Rimuru gave his response, "Never. I wouldn't devour my comrades without reason. We're not like you."

Suddenly the Orc Lord reached out to grab Rimuru only for him to doadge and me and Flora to raise our shields .

Soon we began fighting Rimuru threw Shizu's mask to Shion to safeguard and continued to dodge the Orc Lords attacks.

At any opportune moment me and flora lunged. I was cutting into the orcs legs and scorching the meat in an attempt to stop the regeneration only for it to power through.

At the same time I could see some of the rotting flesh caused by Flora's poison but it also healed quickly. Eventually I spoke to Flora through Wyvern Communication, "My dear we need to bring out the big guns. Fall back and we can transform to relative safety."

As we did Rimuru handed control of his body off to Great Sage who felt the first major blow of our fight stopping the regeneration of the Orc Lord's arm through coating their blade in Black Flame.

Soon me and my dear were pelting the orc lord with fireballs from the sky in our Rath forms. Flora did a few attack runs with her paralytic venom but it did little to slow the orc lord's attacks.

However eventually the Orc Lord ripped off one of his arms which allowed it to regenerate which he used to grab Rimuru/Great Sage.

They fought back using a Flare Circle to slow the ORc Lord, however eventually the circle faded only to reveal the Orc Lord still standing but covered in Rimuru. Seeing the opportunity to help we began to change into our scale cloud form and began to imitate the actions of Rimuru though Adaptation, in doing so gave us a copy of Devour. Soon we realized that we were no longer in the Marshlands but instead in a barren desert.

Besides us was Rimuru, "Whoa … What am I looking at?"

"You know as much as we do Rimuru." I said.

but then Flora spoke up before Rimuru could say anything, "Look over there, Orc Children."

We slowly walked towards the children an adult Orc kneeled down besides them, "Are you hungry?" The Orc asked, "Just be patient."

The Orc then ripped off his own arm to feed them, "Here, eat this. Every last bit." He said as he place down the arm which the children began to consume.

"It will help you grow big and strong."

Then another Orc walked up to the one who had just sacrificed their arm and kneeled, "Please, your majesty. You must stop." The Orc pleaded, "If we were to lose even our king in the midst of the great famine there would be no hope left for orckind."

the older orc then spoke, "A young king born just two days ago starved to death this morning. The one born yesterday is on death's door already. And yet my flesh will always regrow, no matter how much of it I tear loose. If this is not then end of all hope, then what is." He said as he began to walk off.

The younger one looks to his king before asking a question, "Where are you going, your majesty?!"

The older orc responds, "Into the forest, to search for food."

He was then interrupted by the younger orc, "But that place is under the protection of the storm dragon…"

"The storm dragon has been sealed behind a barrier for ages. Surely we can take some tiny bounty."

Then we saw the orc eventually collapse of hunger and was approached by Gelmud, and in the same breath where the Orc fell, stood Geld, the Orc Lord, "He gave me sustenance and a name. And he taught me about "Starved," the gift of the Orc Lord. As an Orc Lord, If I eat, all those under the sway of "Starved," cannot die of hunger. In this way I could save my people. Yes, I may have been the pawn of a wicked scheme, but I had no other move to play. Therefore i must eat. You might be a pair of wyverns and a slime that can devour anything and adapt to everything, but i must not allow you to devour me."

Rimuru then spoke, "Without your corrosive strength, we have the advantage in consumptive ability. You're going to lose."

Geld then spoke again, "My people are starving. I cannot afford to lose. I have devoured the other monsters. I ate master Gelmud. I even ate my own. If I die my pepole will be held responsible for my deeds. There can be no turning back. To ensure that my people do not starve I must bear al of the world's starvation within by own belly!!" He bellowed

Only for a glimpse to the outside where I see Rimuru's face as well as my dears and mine forming around Geld's dissolving body.

"Even still, you lose." Rimuru says in a melancholy filled voice.

"If you are "Starved" then we are "Devourers." Rimuru said.

"We will devour you sins, and the sins of your kind Geld." Flora said.

"Devour … our sins? Mine and my people's?" Geld asked.

"Yes," I responded, "Now rest your soul. And find your peace."

As I said that we repeated in the wastes where Geld began to speak again, "I … Must … Not … Lose. I'm … so tired. And it is warm here." He said as a grand forest sprouted around us from our feet.

"Thank you, Devourers. At last, my hunger … is sated."

3rd POV*

As the Orc Lord known as Geld fully dissolved. From the spire of scale and slime came Rimuru, Flora and Grim. The pair of Wyverns had evolved in this incident. Thier red and Green scales replace with scales the color of the skies and of verdent plower fields.

Flora muttered a solemn oath, "We've won. Find your peace, Geld."

As the two armies saw the outcome of the battle they celebrated and mourned. The Orcs fell to their knees in shock as the forces of the Lizardmen and those of the Tempest Village cheered.

Within the orc forces stood one who had begged his king not to leave with a heavy heart the orc cried as a female orc beside him also cried, "Your majesty … you're finally … free."

Soon Treyni the Dryad appeared and proclaimed that a meeting will be held tomorrow to resolve the conflict. And in doing so claimed Rimuru, Flora, and Grim as the Hosts of the Assembly.

By the next day All sides had sent delegates, Treyni was present, several members of the Orcs, the Lizardman Chieftain, the Kijin, and some regular goblins that were serving Gabiru.

Grim was the first to speak through his experience of being a chef/cook and having to get people's attention, "Now that everyone is here we need to discuss what we are going to do first now.me along with the other chairmen do have an announcement to make. The Orcs will not be prosecuted for their actions under the Orc Lord, Geld. The Reason for this is because their home land was struck by a massive famine and seeing this the Majin known as Gelmud saw their opportunity to seize power.Now the orcs will not be forgiven for their invasion and pillaging however, due to their situation they do not have the resources to repay that cost."

When the Lizardman Chieftain asked what the chairmen truly felt, Flora responded, "If you have any complaints, file them with us. We mad a promise to Geld to absorb their sins as well of those of the rest of the orcs."

As the meeting wore on eventually the topic of what to do with the orcs was raised with Rimuru being the one to propose a radical idea.

"This might sound like a flight of fancy to you, but what if all the different races in the forest formed a kind of alliance. We'll split the 150,000 among the regions to provide physical labor in those new home regions." He said.

The Lizardman Chieftain then spoke again, "And in exchange, we'll give them food and a place to live you mean?"

The three nodded a yes to the Chieftain, they then continued as Grim spoke, "Our town will be able to provide technical support for any construction. It won't be free of course." He said.

Flora then continued, "Our town is short handed as it is. However with the Orcs providing labor. Eventually they will learn the tools of their trade and be able to build their own villages. In doing so we could build a proper nation where a diverse range of species can call home."

With that declaration the Orcs bowed to the Trio with the Lizardman Chieftain also agreeing and taking a knee followed by the Kijin. Then Treyni began to speak with Rimuru being very confused.

"Very good. Then as overseer of the forest. I, Treyni, hereby announce that Rimuru, Flora, and Grim are the new chancellors of the Great Forest of Jura. Under their names we have formed the "Jura Forest Alliance"!"

And Like that the new ruling group that would become known as the Triumvirate was formed by Rimuru Tempest of the People, Flora Tempest of the Land and Grim Tempest of the Sky.
