Chapter X

Night had fallen on the plain. Walking along, Ainz looked up and noticed again how full of pretty stars the sky was.

The Overlord chuckled thinking back to the show they had put on.

"Maybe we went a tad overboard."

"What are you talking about? That was so much fun, Ainz-san! I look forward to something like that again by your side… although maybe against someone a tad stronger so we actually have to put some more effort into it.

He laughed.

"I admit this was nice… especially you using their own angel against them!"

"Thanks, Ainz-san, but it was nothing compared to you switching places with Gazef Stronoff… their faces when they saw their target slip away… hehehe!"

What Ainz Ooal Gown had given Gazef was a cash store item from Yggdrasil, a rare one even the Guildmaster had quite a few of. He didn't think he'd be able to acquire any more since they were no longer in the game, but giving it away this time was no major loss. On the contrary, Ainz was happy for his collection of cash items to decrease.

Those were consolation prizes for the five hundred–yen gacha machine, having so many just reminded him how he'd wasted all his money and ended up poor. But that wasn't all. After pouring so much cash into it and finally getting the super-rare item he'd been after, his former guildmate Yamaiko had gotten it on her first try. The shock from that still remained in his mind like a hairline crack.

He'd thought to throw them away many a time, but when he remembered that each one had cost five hundred yen, he just couldn't chuck them.

Back to happier thoughts and business…

"About Sir Stronoff, do you think he survived? I'd hate to get back to the village and find him dead after the trouble we've gone through to ingratiating him and the Kingdom. I mean, we could always revive him, but I don't want people knowing we can do that, especially the villagers who had so many dead among friends and relatives."

"I wouldn't worry about that, Gazef's tough and determined. If only he was a little stronger… seems like this world's standards are pretty low. Anyway, I'd like to look after him, he has a warrior's heart."

"Do you have a plan?"

"No, or at least not yet. It's just he deserves my respect after what he showed in this fight. In a way, he's like me… he'll do whatever it takes to protect those he cares for. So, no matter what you want to do with the Kingdom, I ask that he is spared."

"I agree, even if I just met him, the Warrior Captain is a honourable man. Even if he will unconsciously oppose our plans, let's make sure he doesn't get killed. We're gonna have to spell it out for the Guardians…"

"Speaking of which, they must be going crazy. We'd better get back home or they'll come get us. So… what if I take half of the corpses, Nigun included of course as we need his info once we revive him, and go to Nazarick to tell the Guardians and your waifu what happened…"

"Sure, go ahead, I'll deal with the villagers and Gazef. After all, it's better to let them think I'm alone for the time being. Just one thing…"

"What is it, Ainz-san?"

"Don't call Albedo my waifu ever again!"

The Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown bashed Oshikuru on the helmet, reverberating.

"Oh, come on, just a little teasing… seriously though, you should find a way to fix that, sooner or later."

"I know, but we've got bigger problems right now…"

"You're probably right..."

He set off to collect the dead bodies and bring them to Nazarick, but turned back to Ainz after a few steps.

"But until then, I'm gonna keep joking about it. Hehehe!"

Half annoyed, half appreciating the friendly banter, the Overlord gave him the middle finger before heading towards the village.

When he entered Carne, everyone came out to greet him, led by the Death Knight ordered around by Nazarick's Supreme Leader.

In the midst of the villagers' countless praises and thanks, Gazef Stronoff appeared.

"Oh, Captain. Glad to see you up and about. I would have wanted to save you and your men soon sooner, but that item I gave you takes a while to warm up. I apologize things got so down to the wire."

He deeply bowed to Gazef.

"Please, Sir Gown, don't bow to me! I am the one grateful to you! After all, you did save me and those among my companions who survived until then...

By the way, what happened to…?"

Sensing a change in his tone of voice, Ainz took an inconspicuous look at him at the light of the stars and the moon, plus a few torches carried by villagers.

Not that he needed to, having Dark Vision.

The Warrior Captain had already taken off his armor and was dressed lightly in regular clothes, completely unarmed. His face was covered in bruises and one of his eyelids had swollen up: his head seemed like a misshapen soccer ball, but his eyes twinkled.

Ainz also he spotted a ring on Gazef's left ring finger. Many thought it was a wedding ring and were happy his wife wouldn't cry about his death, but Ainz knew better. Even if he had not something like Shizu's or Oshikuru's eye, the Overlord could sense magic items due to one of his many passives. While using [Appraise Magic Item] to actually understand what it could do seemed a little rude, he was curious but decided to let it for another time.

While thinking, he continued his act.

"Oh, unfortunately they didn't want to negotiate or retreat so I had to kill them all. Their corpses… well those among them who do have corpses, are back out there. I figured it would be better if you and your men brought them back to your king."

Gazef squinted for just a moment, but neither said anything. The atmosphere was tense.

Gazef was the one to end it. "Wonderful. You've saved us from danger so many times now, Sir Gown. How can I thank you? You must stop by my house if you are ever in the capital. I would like to give you a proper welcome and introduce you to my King, if you would like to. He's a honourable but thoughtful man like you are, while all I can do is wield a sword."

"Don't beat yourself up, Sir Stronoff. Aniway, I may take you up on that offer someday, thank you."

"You won't come with us now, then, I take it? What are your plans, Sir Gown? My men and I will go get the casters' bodies, then rest here for the night."

"I see. As for me, I intend to head out, although I haven't decided where I'll go yet."

"It's already night. Traveling in the dark is…" Gazef trailed off. "Please excuse me, Sir Gown. You're strong enough that you don't need me to worry about you. I hope you'll remember me if you come to the capital. My door will always be open for you. And I don't have words enough to thank you for allowing me to have some suits of armor from those knights who initially attacked Carne."

Ainz nodded and judged that everything he had come here to do was finished. Somehow or another, a lot of unexpected things had happened and he had stayed longer than he meant to."

"Let's go, Death Knight."

It followed and they walked away, towards the forest, with a lot many awed gazes upon them.

Gazef couldn't help but think: Today a legend has born… the legend of Ainz Ooal Gown, the most powerful magic caster of our age. I can only hope the Kingdom will treat him as a friend. Otherwise, Re-Estize will be doomed.

Oshikuru informed Albedo of their mission's success and ordered her to quickly form a team to be sent at his current location to retrieve human corpses, then revive them and imprison those who came back from death.

As soon as a whirlpool of energy appeared in front of him, Oshikuru took the most dignified pose he could think of before the minions could exit from the [Gate].

The first one to emerge, to his surprise, was the full armoured Albedo.

Of course the bitch came first, she thought Ainz was here… hehehe, he's sooo in trouble…

Behind her came a file of all the guardians known as free to move:Pandora'sActor, Sebas who had just recently officially appointed as 9th Floor Guardian, after him Demiurge and Ambition, Aura and Mare, Cocytus and last but not least Shalltear. Each of them went down to one knee before the Supreme Being who wondered: Why the hell did they all come here to do the dirty job? Their main duty should be to protect Nazarick… well, there's always Gargantua and Victim, so it's fine. But still…

"Albedo, Floor Guardians, thank you all for coming, but remember that it is not necessary for every one of you to abandon Nazarick unless you are told to. In this case it is not, we only have to take these bodies into the Great Tomb… be extra careful about this one, he's their leader and thus should be the one with the most important pieces of information about this world.

Take half of the others, it is part of our great leader's plans."

"I'm sorry, Lord Oshikuru, but we had assembled to be ready for assisting you and Momonga-sama. I humbly apologise to—"

"There's no need for that, Albedo. I understand you only wish to serve us in the best possible way. A tiny mistake like this can be overlooked. Anyway, we must not be seen. All of you, act quickly, then let's assemble in the Throne Room where the Supreme Leader will… grace us with his presence and reveal a part of his plans for the future. He is currently dealing with the natives, but he will be done soon. While we wait for him, I'll tell you about what just happened in detail. Let us go."

The NPCs stood up, bowed a little and then hurried to execute the orders given by the second in command of the Great Tomb of Nazarick.

While Albedo took Nigun's body, the others grabbed the rest of the designated humans and efficiently carried out the task given to them.

Oshikuru went to the Lemegeton with the Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown and, after a long and thoughtful look at the five gargoyles, decided to leave them in there. Turning into the Hellking, he walked up to the Throne Room's double doors and they opened before him.

The Demon Samurai was once again amazed by the rich design of that hall, his gaze quickly caught by the massive armchair which dominated the scene. The closest he came to it, the louder it got the evil voice in his head.

Sit on it! Only you are worthy of the Throne of Kings! Claim Nazarick and have everyone in it grovel at your feet! Then, do that to this entire new world! It will either bend or break before the strongest of the strongest!

Almost without realising it, his feet arrived right in front of the huge throne, but he walked past it and stood up straight at its left.

This is my place. The seat of powerful belongs to you, my friend. All I want is to be the loyal sword you'll swing at your enemies.

Soon enough, the highest ranked servants gathered in the Throne Room.

They walked up to the staircase and kneeled in front of the Supreme Being.

"You all may rise. Before I reveal to you the incredible first action taken by the almighty Supreme Leader in the New World…"

Their eyes brightened and their breaths already quickened from hearing that.

"… Overseer Albedo, please share a brief report on the humans we captured."

"Ah, of course, Lord Oshikuru.

Sebas, Cocytus, Aura and Ambition have brought them to the Frozen Prison on the 5th Floor. They all were revived thanks to Pestonya's [True Resurrection]. Mare and Shalltear shared mana so it could be possible. Demiurge, Pandora's Actor and I have appraised the gear we stripped off them, but no item is highly enchanted. I imagine we'll put everything in the treasury when we're done.

Each one of them has been imprisoned in a cell and is chained up while under surveillance by servants far stronger than the humans. They will not have a chance to escape, milord."

"Excellent work. It was carried out with speed and precision, all of you deserve to be praised!"

The Floor Guardians tried to refuse that, stating that serving well the Supreme Beings was their greatest pleasure and duty.

If I needed an extra reason why not to sit on that thing, here it is. They're not easy to deal with!

After hardly managing to make them accept his praise, he went on to other matters.

"Now, I'm sure our Supreme Leader wishes to squeeze all kinds of information out of them, but let's wait for his command to do that. In the meantime, have the Lord of Pain and his best helpers join Neuronist Painkiller's team. Working together, I'm sure each of them will get better at the most important task in Nazarick right now: collecting information about the New World."

While Albedo and Demiurge handled that, he recalled the recent events and then narrated it precisely, enhancing the points he wanted them to understand as it was necessary the Guardians knew how to correctly behave when among humans without standing out too much. He made sure they understood why and how it was handled the situation in Carne, a good example of how to gain trust and influence over the natives.

Once he was sure everything had been covered, Oshikuru closed his mouth, grateful for being a demon without basic needs. Otherwise, he'd be tired and thirsty.

"Ah, I'm impressed as always by Lord Momonga and Lord Oshikuru! Such deep thoughts into every action! Brilliant doesn't even get close to describe your incomparable intellect. I can only think of you two as unfathomable."

Hearing Demiurge's high praise, he felt like the demon needed a reward.

Then, he wanted to drop the bomb. But the big boss might get angry at me for making the announcement… I'll make half of it to raise suspense then.

"There's one last thing you shall know. Our Supreme Leader has come to a life-changing decision. Starting today, he will no longer be known as Momonga. He shall take a new name and I expect all of you to get along with his choice…"

"Of course, Oshikuru-sama! None of us could ever dare to go against an order of the Supreme Leader, the one who commands even other Supreme Beings! It is by his grace we are allowed to bask in his glorious presence!"

All the present seemed to ferociously agree with Albedo's statement.

"Good. However, you must remember to think about the reason behind the orders he and I give to you. You are not brainless tools, you are the very best servants in existence as you were created by the Supreme Beings themselves. So it is your responsibility not to look at us like distant gods, but loving parents who wish for their children to keep growing, getting stronger and smarter.

Think about it while our great Lord is on his way.

All Guardians had been temporarily angry when hearing about both Supreme Beings had been in pain due to [Holy Smite]. Realising it was all part of their plan, they came to terms with it. But one was still furious, even if she hid it well. But she could not hold it for long, so she dared asking:

"Lord Oshikuru, in your infinite compassion, would you allow me to give the prisoners a proper welcome to Nazarick? I feel like we haven't truly made the humans realise what is going to happen.

"Hmm, I think I know what you mean… still, make sure your welcome process doesn't make them go insane. We need them to tell us everything they know, so please don't break their already stupid brains."

"Of course, Oshikuru-sama. Thank you for allowing me."

"Be quick about, then. You certainly don't want to miss the Supreme Leader's glorious return…"

Hearing that, Albedo went as fast as she could without losing her manners and elegance until she exited the Throne Room. Then, rage started boiling harder in her veins.

Using the Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown, she teleported to the Frozen Prison and had all humans be brought before her.

Once they were, she let go of all emotional self-control.

"You lower…you base scuuum!"

A shriek cut through the ice cold air of the prison. Its source, Albedo.

"You lower life-form bastaaards! How dared you cause our loved and respected master, Lord Momonga—the man I love, the man I suuuuuuuper love—to be in paaain?! Know your place as garbaaage! Death is a fate too merciful for youuu! I'll give you the maximum pain that exists in this world and mess with you till you go insaane! I'm going to burn your limbs off with acid, make minced meat of your man bits and force-feed it to youuu! When you recover, I'll use magic to heal you and do it over and over again for eternity! Aaah, I hate you! I hate you, I hate you, I hate you so much my heart feels like it's going to explode!"

Her beautiful white arms flailed.

It felt like the world was warping around that spot. The sign of something twisted by an evil faith in death battered them like a bomb blast. It was wriggling violently beneath the skin of that supreme beauty as if something was trying to burst through. Even though the terrified Nigun and his company could see that was the case, there was nothing they could do but stand there stock-still and watch as a monster that would surely sully the world was about to be born.

They were sure nothing could possibly save them, but something beeped into the angered succubus' mind, interrupting her wrath.

As she accepted the incoming [Message], Lord Oshikuru's words cleared all of that terrible rage away from her. "Albedo, the Supreme Leader has returned to Nazarick. He's in his chambers now, so I as a Supreme Being should order you to immediately get back in the Throne Room, but… as Momonga's best friend I wish for him to be happy with the woman who loves him, so I suggest you go knock on his door right now. And of course, you never heard this from me…"

"Thank you so much, Lord Oshikuru! And I won't say this to anyone"

In the blink of an eye, she was once again the Guardian Overseer and ordered to return the fearful prisoners to their cells.

She instead teleported right in front of her beloved master's bedroom. Barely keeping herself from breaking through, she gently knocked on the door.

"… Come in" said someone from within.

Even if muffled, she would always recognise the voice of the one she loved.

The succubus entered and prostrated before her heart's ruler.

"Welcome back, my beloved master."

"Albedo… please stand up."

She happily did for now she could let her eyes see the most beautiful person in the world.

But he seemed surprised:

"Why are you here? I was told by Oshikuru-san he had gathered all of you in the Throne Room."

"I'm aware, Supreme Leader. Please forgive me, but I wanted to accompany you. How can I let you be unattended, Momonga-sama? and I've missed you so much today… I was afraid for you…"

He was a little annoyed, but didn't show it.

"I see. Sorry to make you feel that way. Let us walk together then. After all, the others have been waiting all this time. A little more won't be a problem, will it? Just don't tell them I did it for you."

Aaahhh Lord Momonga, you are the best!

"Thank you so much for spending your precious time with a selfish servant like me, Momonga-sama!"

So they started crossing the hallways of Nazarick on foot. Albedo would have wanted to hold hands with her master, but she dared not do something that might upset him and ruin everything.

The Supreme Leader seemed to be deep in thoughts and she felt a little bit of shame to interrupt them for her own desires, but she couldn't help it.

"Momonga-sama, Lord Oshikuru told us about your great accomplishments in the human village today… your wisdom and power are even beyond what the Guardians and I could even imagine!"

Still unused to hear such praise from anyone, especially a beautiful woman like she was, Momonga said:

"Uh, no, it… it was nothing, really, just making first contact with some villagers and winning battles against weak opponents…"

"You're being too humble, Momonga-sama, Lord Oshikuru explained us all the reasons why you did all that… you truly are amazing! But Momonga-sama… I wonder if perhaps taking both of those angels' swords and that [Holy Smite] was not the best course of action…"

"Oh? well, I had confirmed Greater Physical Damage Immunity was working using some knights outside the village when I arrived in Carne this morning. Oshikuru wasn't there and I didn't tell him, I didn't think it was important. About [Holy Smite], well it was only a little bit painful."

"B-but Lord Ainz! The lower life-forms, they—"

"It's fine, Albedo. Aside from the unexpected fragility of the angels, everything has been going pretty much according to plan. Even feeling pain was a part of my experiments. So why get angry?"

Hearing those words, Albedo put a hand over her heart and bowed her head. "You're always right, Lord Ainz. It's fitting that you would have such a carefully laid plan. I am deeply impressed."

Never knowing what to say in these situations, Ainz gave a short reply:

"Um, indeed."

"Then it is as you say, master. However, it is unforgivable that you should have been stabbed with vulgar blades and hit by magic while I wasn't there to take those blows in your stead. What sort of woman could approve of her love being injured, even if he was unharmed in the end?"

Now I really fell like a piece of shit. I made her feel all this…

"Ah, you're right. I acted without thinking of your feelings."

She seemed to take it the wrong way.

"Are my feelings a nuisance to you, Momonga-sama? Then I'll—"

"No, No, of course not Albedo, I mean, I'm glad you were anxious for me and got mad, but… Albedo, you're so charming when you're happy and you smile. I don't want to make you feel bad…"

"Tee-heeeee! Ch-cha-charming! Ahem. Thank you, Lord Ainz."

Ainz cursed in his mind and took a closer look at her. She usually wore a gentle smile, but now it was different, she seemed to be in a nearly uncontainable good mood. One reason was on her left ring finger, being stroked by her right hand: a Ring of Ainz Ooal Gown. Where she wore it was up to her, but it wasn't hard to guess why she put it on that finger.

If those were her genuine feelings, as a man, Ainz might have been glad, but her feelings were the result of his fiddling. Guilt smoldered in his heart again.

"But, Albedo, the love you have for me is something I warped. It's not how you originally felt. So…"

What else should I say?

Would manipulating her memories with magic be the right way to handle this? Ainz faltered and couldn't say anything more.

Albedo, still smiling, asked, "How was I before you changed me?"

A bitch.

Not that he could say that, though, so he wasn't sure how to explain things. He looked calm on the outside, but inside he was frantically searching for any kind of solution.

"Well, your creator Tabula Smaragdina surely had his reasons for that, but it wasn't something very ladylike…"

Albedo, watching him, spoke with absolute certainty.

"In that case, I prefer my current self, so you don't have to fret about it."

"But…"

"But?"

Ainz was silent. He was getting some kind of unfathomable sign from her, as she continued to smile.

Since he wasn't speaking, she did. "There's only one thing that's important." Ainz was waiting for her to continue and she spoke in a sad voice, asking in a way similar to earlier: "I'm not a bother to you, am I?"

He opened his mouth and gazed at her face. This time, her words gradually sank into his brain, not that he thought he had one, and he finally understood what she was trying to say.

He hurried to her defense. "N-no, not at all." He couldn't be upset about being loved by such a beauty.

"So then, it's fine, isn't it?"

"Um…" He still thought it wasn't, but he couldn't come up with a way to convince her.

"It's fine, isn't it?" she repeated.

Ainz definitely sensed something strange but asked as his last resort:

"I distorted Tabula's vision! Don't you want to get the real you back?"

"I'm sure Lord Tabula would forgive you as a father forgives his daughter for becoming his friend's bride."

"Y-you truly think so?"

"I could never lie to you, Momonga-sama."

He had absolutely no idea what to say after that, but luckily he came up with a solution.

"Then I'll let you be the first one to know my name, from now one, is Ainz Ooal Gown. For those who are close to me like you, just Ainz will do too."

Albedo's adoration levels went beyond limits, but Ainz Ooal Gown was saved by having reached his destination.

The marvellous double doors to the Throne Room suddenly opened in front of the newcomers, surprising them both.

After a deep bow to who was her master before her love, Albedo went to join the prostrated servants.

Thanking his good fortune, Ainz Ooal Gown walked up to his throne, to whose left there was Oshikuru kneeled and bowed. Kneeling was out of respect, but bowing was to hide the smile which had formed when he had seen his friend and Albedo utterly surprised when they had entered the room.

Hehehe, Cupido has managed to successfully hit even the heart of an undead.

Next step will be harder, but somehow I'm sure Albedo will find a way. I only need to give her a little push at the right moment just like today."

While the Overlord seated, nobody moved; it was so still not even the sound of breathing could be heard.

I can accept that from former NPCs, but not from my best friend!

"Oshikuru, please rise and don't kneel before me ever again. We're friends, I'm not your master. You may bow to me out of respect because I am Guildmaster, but that's enough!"

Oshikuru stood up and looked at him in a way that said: I know that, why did you say it out loud?

But he spoke differently: "Thank you, my friend, I'm honoured. Then I shall do even more for Ainz Ooal Gown to repay your trust!"

"Speaking of which… Guardians! you too, rise and look at me."

They immediately obliged.

"There's one thing I want to tell all of you here right away.

I changed my name. From now on, call me…"

Ainz pointed his finger and gathered everyone's eyes.

"… Call me Ainz Ooal Gown, Ainz for short."

His finger was pointing to the tapestry behind the throne with the guild's crest. He struck the floor hard with his staff to get everyone's attention.

"Anyone with objections, say so."

No one had anything to say in response. Albedo spoke, beaming.

"We have heard your honorable name. Hail, Lord Ainz Ooal Gown! To you, most noble one, Ainz Ooal Gown, we of the Great Tomb of Nazarick pledge absolute loyalty!"

Then the guardians and Oshikuru joined in a: "Hail, Lord Ainz Ooal Gown!"

Each gave his own oath.

"The one who brought the Supreme Beings together was you. To you we devote everything."

"Hail, Lord Ainz Ooal Gown! You are a king who wields horrific power. All beings must know your greatness!"

Cheers echoed across the Throne Room.

Bathing in the praise, Ainz thought, Old mates. What would you think of me monopolizing our proud name for myself? Would you be happy? Or would you furrow your brows? If you have an opinion, come and tell me. Tell me it's not my name alone. When that time comes, I'll gladly return to being Momonga.

He looked out at everyone below him.

"I'm going to give a strict order now, a guideline for our policy going forward." Ainz paused for a few moments. Everyone's expressions tensed.

"Make Ainz Ooal Gown an everlasting legend!" He thrust the Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown into the floor with his right hand. The second he did, the colors from each of the jewels began to come out and shimmer in the air.

"Make it known to all living creatures. Ainz Ooal Gown has the strongest of the strongest…" He jerked to Oshikuru, who puffed out.

"While he himself is the wisest of the wisest!"

Well, maybe not, but at least I was wise enough to befriend Oshikuru and be always honest to him. I can never thank him enough for following me into this new world by my side.

His followers, ecstatic, cheered to the Overlord.

Next to him, the Hellking brought a hand on where his heart was supposed to be. "I swear, my friend, I'll make sure your name will go from the deepest pit of hell to the highest heavens."

Then, Ainz Ooal Gown said something that would shock the crowd even more than the previous declaration.

"It is not my name, but our name. Only one can bear it, but you and me are like brothers. Unlike all those who abandoned Nazarick and me, you stayed and never thought about leaving. So, even if I'm officially taking the burden of leadership, know that you can't run away from helping me rule Nazarick, just like I can't have you fight all by yourself to raise our fame, I'll do my part of fighting as well.

We're in this together and we'll prevail together! And while you are my brother not in blood but in spirit…"

He turned away from Oshikuru and stared at the Guardians.

"You all are my… no, our children. You are much more than simple servants. We care for each and every one of you. The other guildmates may have left, but you are their legacy and we'll make sure you grow stronger and smarter. Together as a family, we'll make Ainz Ooal Gown's name known forever and ever!"

The throne room looked a little lonely once Ainz and Oshikuru had left, but excitement was still high.

After receiving orders and love from their absolute rulers, getting started on their tasks all together lit a flame of passion in each of their hearts. Especially zealous were the ones who had received a direct order.

"Everyone, raise your heads." As if tugged by Albedo's soft voice, all whose heads had stayed bowed looked up. "Each one of you who has received a direct order, follow it humbly. Now, we have something important to discuss."

Her eyes never left the Ainz Ooal Gown tapestry behind the throne. The NPCs behind her looked at it, too. "Demiurge, please tell everyone what Lord Ainz told you."

"Understood."

He was still kneeling like everyone else, but his voice carried so all present could hear.

"This is what Lord Ainz said to me while gazing at the night sky: "It truly is beautiful. Perhaps this untouched box of jewels exists to be our for the taking."

So he already meant to share power with his one true friend Oshikuru. While it is Lord Ainz the official Supreme Leader, we must treat Lord Oshikuru with the same utmost respect we give to Ainz-sama.

Right after these words, Lord Oshikuru had said: "The Great Tomb of Nazarick should definitely be adorned with those jewels."

So, he remarked Lord Ainz's intentions. It was almost clear the box of jewels here is this world, but Lord Ainz then spelled it out for Ambition and I to hear what they meant as he said: "Taking over the world does sound kind of fun."

Which means…"

Something glinted in all of their eyes: the colour of determination.

Albedo slowly got to her feet and surveyed everyone's faces, and they all gazed back at her, keeping an eye on the Ainz Ooal Gown tapestry behind her as well. "Comprehending our Lords' true intentions and preparing to fulfill it is proof of our loyalty and the mark of able subjects. Know that our ultimate goal is to give this world, this box of jewels, to the Supreme Beings who in their infinite kindness stayed with us."

Albedo grinned ear to ear, turned around, and smiled at the tapestry.

"Lord Ainz, Lord Oshikuru, we will give you this world without fail!" Her voice echoed as she continued in her mind.

And I will give myself to you, Ainz-sama!
