"Hiii Nancy! Thank you for meeting with us," Brooke greeted the social worker whose office they had gone to to talk about Sam. Jamie was at a playdate that Brooke had set up and they were all nervous, especially Brooke. This was her only shot to get Sam. Yet, she had a terrible feeling about lying.
"Oh it's great to meet you. I see you are interested in fostering Sam?" Nancy answered with a smile.
"No, adopting her," Brooke said quickly.
"Oh what! Wow! We don't get a lot of those for teenagers. Heck we don't even get many fosterers!" Nancy remarked. "How did you meet Sam?"
"Oh, I work at a diner that Sam frequents. She spilled coffee on me. We talked and I heard about her experiences in the homes she had lived in. I want to change that. I love her! I want her with me, safe," Brooke answered, looking nowhere but into Sam's beautiful brown eyes.
"Lucas?" the Social Worker asked.
"I met Sam through Brooke but I love her already. She is a great kid! She wants to be a writer and I'm just getting my novel published," Lucas answered.
"Oh, that's wonderful," Nancy smiled and said. "Your file says that you two are engaged. When did you two get engaged?"
"Pretty recently, but we have known each other since high school. We dated on and off all through it and we had a son together who will be three soon," Lucas answered.
"Yes, I read that. You seem to have your hands pretty full with your son and you two are still so young. Why do you want to foster- I'm sorry I mean adopt her?" she asked the hard question.
"We fell in love with her. She is kind and wonderful and generous and loving. We want to give her a home and love," Brooke replied, meaning every word of it.
"Okay, but why not wait until the two of you are married?" she continued to interrogate.
"Nancy, you know what goes on at those homes. You may be able to turn a blind eye towards it, but I can't. I love Sam. I have a physical need for her to be safe and I know that she will be safe with me. My marriage timeline should not come in the way of that. We both love her and want her to be our family and that's that. Marriage or no marriage. We already have a kid together, how more real can it get? Marriage is just a document. I'm not going to wait for that to have what I know I need, which is Sam safe with me," Brooke fought for her daughter.
Nancy stayed quiet as she jotted something down in her file. "So Brooke, you live here in New York. I don't seem to have your address."
"I mean we figured what was the point. We want to move to Tree Hill and live there," she answered, trying to shrug it off. She could not give the address of the seedy neighbourhood she was renting at.
"Why is that?" Nancy asked.
"Tree hill is home. We both are from there. Plus we have family there. Lucas' brother and sister in law live there," Brooke continued to answer.
"So you two… was it a Tree Hill New York thing? How did it work with a kid in the mix?" Nancy asked suspiciously.
"We were young, you know how daunting it can be knowing on your high school graduation you conceived a child! Brooke had already moved to New York when she found out that she was pregnant and I was in Tree Hill. We were young and we weren't sure what we wanted so it was long distance for a while. I deeply regret that decision though. I was just so scared back then. I regret it everyday that I wasn't present. I will never be able to get over that regret. But she gave me a second chance and I love my son and if you will allow me, my daughter.. very very much," Lucas said. "Things are steady and great now. We found our way to each other again and we love each other and we have the tools now to be a real family."
Nancy had an unreadable expression on her face as she jotted down some points in her notebook. "Brooke, what did you do in New York?"
"Uhhh," Brooke fumbled.
"She already told you she was waitressing and we met at the cafe," Sam answered on behalf of Brooke. She had been unusually quiet out there.
"No, I mean why did she come to New York? She didn't come to be a waitress, no offence. I don't see any college reference either," said Nancy with a sad expression on her face.
"Hey, you think Mike and Norma went to college? You know that they do it for the money and you send a dozen kids there!" Sam argued.
"Sam, hey, relax," Brooke immediately stepped in. Getting hotheaded was not the answer here.
"I interned at an atelier for a while," Brooke lied. "I worked at Allure. Then I got to know that I was pregnant and I couldn't manage the long hours. It was a difficult pregnancy. I came here to work in fashion but you have to put in a lot of hours that I just wasn't able to back then. Now my biggest job is being a good mom to these two."
Brooke wondered how Lucas was lying through his teeth, committing federal offences. She was struggling with them. Brooke had owned Allure and was the head designer, not an intern. He was lying about the engagement and love bit. He loved Peyton. The ring was for Peyton, not Brooke. Brooke twirled the ring on her finger, knowing that it didn't belong to her. It would've never fit Peyton though. Her fingers were far too bony for the ring, while for Brooke, it fit like a glove.
"So Lucas, I see that you have several lines of income," Nancy remarked with a smile.
"Yeah, my book is currently in the works of getting published. I also have a steady income with benefits. I coach the basketball team at Tree Hill High and my mom owns a bar in town. We have employees who manage the place but I get all the income since my mother currently resides in New Zealand with her husband and my little sister," Lucas replied.
"And Brooke?" she asked.
"I'm a waitress here, but once in tree hill, I'll figure something out," Brooke answered like a scared, uncertain child.
"Oh she is being modest," Luke said on her behalf. "As Brooke told you, she came here to work in fashion but she is already a designer. When we were in school, she sold clothes online and she did great! We own this shop space in Tree Hill. It was a spot where my mom had a cafe. We closed it when she moved to New Zealand but the space is still ours. Brooke is going to open and run a boutique there."
"Oh is that so Ms. Davis?" Nancy asked, feeling much better about the female.
"It certainly is a thought," Brooke lied through her teeth as she plastered a fake smile on her face and added a little laugh.
"Oh, she is just so paranoid. You know, what if it doesn't do well. She doesn't like talking about it but just you see!Her talent is too much and far too great for it not to do well. You can see her talent first hand. she made her dress as well as Sam's!" Lucas said, pointing at her outfit.
"Oh wow. They are gorgeous. Your fiance is correct about you being talented," Nancy said, assured about Brooke's profession. "I admit this all checks very well but we have a few issues which can be deal breakers. The first being that you want to move Samantha across state lines. The age gap between all of you is very slim, the two of you aren't married and you already have a toddler that Mr. Scott wasn't involved in raising in the beginning. I'm sorry but-"
"Look ma'am, I checked the laws. There is no law in the state of New York or the state of North Carolina that prohibits me from fostering or adopting Sam. Lucas and I are together now. Yes, we were kids who screwed up but we got past it and Jamie is well adjusted. We are making moves to move in together. We can provide her with a good home and stability and a loving environment. She will have aunts and uncles who love her and deeply care for her, a real family! Look, I am sure you have seen the marks and the scars, even if Sam never spoke to you about them. You have to have known what that girl has been through and she does not deserve it. Nobody does! Sam is a great girl and she is my girl. I want what is best for her and I think that I am the best for her. I may be young and yes, my career isn't where I wanted it to be and yes, I am a young mother. None of it measures my love for Sam. You know that she will have more with me than she will ever have at any of those foster homes. So if you want what's really best for her too, you will not stop us from taking her home with us," Brooke fought for her daughter.
"Wow! Samantha? Do you really want this?" Nancy asked the teen directly.
"More than anything!" she cried, unable to keep her emotions in check. "Please let me live with them." Sam was hung on the words - adopt her from the beginning. She couldn't fathom Brooke's love and willingness to fight for her.
"Okay, I know a social worker in North Carolina. I will see if she can pick up Samantha's case. There will be home visits, interviews and background checks required before we can allow you to take her there and then there will be frequent checks and the forms need to be approved. It will take a little longer as it is an inter-state application. Since you aren't looking to license yourselves as foster parents, you're not required to complete the TIPS-MAPP training but it is highly encouraged as parenting a child who has been in foster care is very different from parenting a child born to you. There is a Pre-Placement Assessment that you need to complete. This is an adoptive home study. Once that gets approved, you register to adopt with the office in North Carolina. Then Sam can be sent to live with you. You will have to foster her for 6 months while completing all the legal processes and truly ensuring that the home is a right fit for Sam. Then she will be yours! We will also need verification that Sam will be enrolled in a school/
"How soon can we get the house approved?" Lucas asked her.
"I will push the paperwork so that it is done quickly!" Nancy said as she saw the parent's eyes spark. Usually, the legal red tape scared parents and the tedious processes made them think again about adopting. However, a few good ones who really cared, they wouldn't wait. "How soon can you have the place ready for her? We can schedule a home visit asap then?"
"In a week!" Lucas replied.
"Okay! Let's get this done. I will have to have a judge sign off on the interstate transfer. Usually, the forms take really long to process but I have a way around them. Sam will be your headache sooner than you think!" said Nancy.
Sam burst into tears and hugged Brooke who cooed gently. Nancy found it hard to believe that Brooke was just coming in to enquire about Sam. They seemed to have known each other forever. They looked like family. Usually foster kids were extremely shy around new parents and teenagers hated them as they were used as free maids to take care of the younger ones or do household work. Sam wasn't an exception. Nancy had seen it first hand. She decided not to dig into the matter too hard. Sam was getting adopted. She was going to a good home! That was the goal. Today was a good day!
"We are a real family!" Sam cried into Brooke's arms.
"We sure are, baby girl. Soon, you're mine and you will be mine forever," she said to her, stroking her hair, not letting go of the embrace either. Sam began crying even more vehemently.
"I can't believe it, I really can't believe it!" She cried, crumpling Brooke's dress as she clutched to her and her tears and snot covered her.
"Oh my Sammy!" Brooke said, rubbing her back.
"So we should celebrate! Let's go out for dinner!" Lucas said once they were out of the social worker's office.
"Pizza pizza! Please, pizza!" Sam jumped and requested.
"Okay okay, we'll get pizza!" Brooke smiled and agreed.
"Brooke, I think I'll return to Tree Hill tomorrow and figure the place out. I'll give Lorelai a call, the social worker Nancy asked us to call. I'll get the pre-placement formalities done, as many as I can get done without you. You might have to show up, I am not sure. We'll ask Lorelai. Meanwhile, start packing up and once the social worker approves, I'll come back here. We can finish the formalities here and take Sam with us!" Lucas offered enthusiastically. It was Brooke's turn to be surprised. Lucas didn't even know Sam a week ago. Sure, his name was going to be on the papers, but she didn't need him to be involved. It was Lucas though, he always involved himself!
"What place? We'll just tell the social worker that we are living with you. You're still living in Karen's house right?" Brooke asked him. Lucas nodded his head affirmatively. "Perfect. We'll tell her we live there and then rent an apartment. Karen's house is the perfect gimmick."
"Fine, let me still set up a room for the social worker to see. My son is coming home!" Lucas said excitedly. Brooke smiled at his joy. He was experiencing being a father and getting to design a nursery, only for a toddler instead.
"Okay, you do that. Just please don't go overboard. It is just to make the social worker happy," Brooke begged him. "Anyway, wanna go get Jamie, daughter of mine!"
Sam felt weak in the knees hearing that but she didn't wanna jinx it. "You're only 6 years older, grandma. Let's stick to our dynamics where you call me Sam and I call you Brooke."
Brooke felt sad hearing that but she pursed her lips and nodded her head. It didn't matter what Sam called her as long as she was with her and safe. They went to his friend's place and Brooke went up to get him while Lucas and Sam waited outside.
"Hey Lucas, I know this happened because of you. I appreciate you doing that for me. I wanted to say thanks," Sam said to him.
"Sam, uhh, I wanted to let you know that I'd love to be a part of your life in any capacity you need. Uhh… my involvement doesn't have to be just till this paper. I don't want to overstep what you and Brooke have but I could be a fun uncle. Or we don't have to label it, I could just be someone who is out there for you," Lucas said to her, meaning every word of it.
Sam was so not used to this. A man who didn't beat her or sexually assault her! Could those exist? "Umm…. Okay?" She squeaked in a confused manner.
"Mom says we are going for pizza!" Jamie cheered when he emerged holding Brooke's hand!
"Yeah baby!" He was obviously too little to understand what was happening with regard to Sam. Sam was just his older sister who sometimes had to go away for a few nights.
They went to the pizzeria and placed their order. Whilst they were sitting at the booth, Brooke beckoned Lucas. "Should we tell him about the move?" she asked, pointing at Jamie.
"Yeah," he replied. He couldn't wait to take them all home.
"Hey Jimmy Jam, we wanted to let you know about something. You know how your dad lives in Tree Hill?" Brooke asked him.
"Yeah…" he said morosefully.
"Yes, so your dad and I were thinking and we decided that we should all move there. How would you like to move to Tree Hill? You will get to see your dad everyday" she asked him.
"What? Would we live together? Dad said that New York is very far from Tree Hill and so he cannot see me everyday" Jamie asked excitedly.
"Umm, not exactly. You see, you're right, Tree Hill is very far away from New York. We have to go in an aeroplane. But when we are in Tree Hill, your dad will live about 10-15 mins away. So you will be able to see him everyday," Brooke explained.
"Oh wow! Alright!" he said, biting into his pizza.
"But that will mean saying goodbye to your friends here. You can still call them and be in touch," Brooke explained the sad side.
"Oh," he said, as things started making sense.
"I promise it will be alright buddy. You will get a new room, a new house, you will make new friends and you will get to sit in an aeroplane," Brooke tried to make him happy again.
"And fly!?" he asked, as he pulled his arms out to pretend that he had wings.
"Yes! And fly!" Brooke chuckled.
"Mom, have you ever been on an aeroplane?" Jamie asked. His friends from school had mentioned travelling on planes but they had only ever used the subway.
"Yes, I have, sweetie"! She laughed. Oh that sweet boy knew nothing about her life before him which seemed like another lifetime to Brooke.
"Dad, have you been on a plane?" he continued to interrogate.
"Yeah, I came here to New York on one," Lucas replied.
"Sammy?" he asked, suddenly feeling like the odd one out.
"No, kiddo. I haven't," Sam replied.
"Is it scary?" He asked. Sam looked up too. She had never flown either and did not know how she felt about it. Yet she wasn't going to say anything, being a fifteen year old tough teen.
"No, it's super fun! It can be a little scary when we go up into the sky which is called takeoff and when the plane is coming back down to the ground which is called landing, but it's fun while we are in the air. You can see the clouds. There is nothing to be scared about," Brooke explained, using her hand to make an imaginary plane that took off and landed. Jamie nodded his head okay.
"So Jamie, I am going to go to Tree Hill to get things ready for your arrival. But I will be back in a week, okay?" he assured him.
"Oh, okay. I'm going to miss you dad," Jamie told him, making Lucas' heart melt.
"I am going to miss you too buddy," he replied.
That night, Brooke found it much harder to go to work at the strip club. She hated every second of being there everyday, but that night, it weighed on her much harder. She wanted to get out of there so bad. Yet, she had a new expense on her plate. She had used Jamie's birthday money on two tickets to Albany. Now, she had to afford three flight tickets and move all their belongings. While getting ready that night, she had spent quite some time staring at the ring on her finger. The ring which signified never ending love. What was she doing, pretending to be engaged to Lucas? Who had possessed her brain that she had said yes to him? How was she supposed to show face in Tree Hill after keeping Jamie from everyone?
Yet, she had. She was moving and moving on to better things. Her jobs had become such a crutch for her in the last few years, that she did not know how to operate without them. She evaluated the amount she still owed to the hospital and she calculated flight tickets. Brooke wanted to hold her head in anxiety.
When she got to the club, she felt a little desperate. She looked around at who all were there. There was Mr. Coleman, the guy who would spank her and grip her tight during a blowjob but give her a fifty dollar tip after. She walked up to him and eased herself onto his lap.
"Hi," she answered raspily, moving her arms around his chest.
"Oh, Penelope, hello," he greeted, his eyes growing dark with lust instantaneously. "I brought my brother today to watch your set. He's from overseas. I said the best attraction in New York is not the Statue of Liberty, but Penelope!"
"Oh, that is so very kind of you to say. Can I count on showing you a good time after my set?" she asked.
Mr. Coleman pulled out his wallet from his pocket and showed her several crisp hundred dollar bills. "Get here quick, baby girl," he smiled and smacked her behind with a loud and resounding slap. Brooke hissed, feeling the impact make her backside red and goosebumps of fear and surprise stand all over her body. She swallowed down the pain and continued walking forward.
Brooke continued to flirt with people, booking them for lap dances after her set on stage. When it was time, she got up there confidently. She danced like she was having the best time of her life. She parted her feet and crouched down for people to see her covered centre. Then she twisted herself to give a view of her backside, hoping that the redness had subsided before swinging on the pole. Her bra came off soon after and she heard the crowd go wild for her. She continued to dance, allowing her breasts to swing free. Once the song ended, she moved on to collect her tips. People touched her, as they slipped bills into her panties. She felt like she was a robot instead of a human as she steeled her emotions.
Once she had put away those bills, she went to give a few lap dances, allowing people to grope her breasts and ass.
"You wanna go upstairs now, Mr. Coleman?" Brooke asked sweetly as she slid onto his lap and began working her magic. Her nails began to tease his chest and she heard the man moan. "Do you want your brother to watch?"
"Oh, no, baby girl, I want you all to myself first," he moaned again as his fingers began to make their way to Brooke's soft mounds.
She stood up and began taking him upstairs to the private rooms. Mr. Coleman had a firm grip on her wrists, he was already leaving marks, but Brooke knew what was going to happen. So, she did not say anything.
Once they were inside the room, it was like an animal had overtaken the large man. He took Brooke's tiny frame in his arms and took her nipples in his mouth, pinching them hard. Brooke hissed as they hardened under the feel of his tongue. He squeezed the other one in his hand.
"Mr. Coleman," Brooke squirmed as his hands began to pinch her skin. He moved them everywhere, from her breasts to her stomach to her ass. She had been very very clear that he would be thrown out of the club and blacklisted forever if he touched her centre, so he was careful. Everything else was free territory for him to mark and he enjoyed that Brooke let him for a few extra hundreds. He hit her breasts and just below them next, enjoying Brooke's facial expressions showing pain. He was a classic narcissist and loved owning it.
"Mr. Coleman, should I show you a good time now?" Brooke asked, although she knew that he would only after he was satisfied and that each hit she took added more dollars to her tip. He smacked her ass a few more times and then allowed Brooke to unzip his pants.
Brooke kneeled in front of him, her face red and aching from pain. Yet, she knew what she had to do. She wrapped a condom around his member and began what she was famously known for. Mr. Coleman pulled her hair while she did it. Brooke felt like she wasn't a person at that moment. She was naked, pleasing a man she couldn't stand. She sucked his tip and slowly took him on. The man groaned with pleasure. Once he was in, she began bobbing her head.
"Oh, just like that baby girl! This feels great," Mr. Coleman encouraged her. He held her head and tried to jerk it further ahead as he began thrusting into her mouth hard. Brooke wanted to scream stop but she just grew passive. She built a new castle, she was with Lucas and she was safe in Tree Hill. She had never been cared for in Tree Hill either, she was always alone there too. Yet, it had been different. She had been different.
Her memories suddenly went to Karen's Cafe and the sign that always hung there - 'Somebody told me that this is the place, where everything is better and everything's safe.' Suddenly, she knew that she was making the right decision moving there, even if it was a blind move with no safety instructions.
Mr. Coleman pulled out once he came into the condom. Brooke sighed, glad that it was finally over. She bent down, allowing head to rest on her thighs. Mr. Coleman pulled his pants up and smiled. He moved his hands from her back, groping her ass one last time. Then he threw eight hundred dollars down at her.
"Stay here, I'll send my brother up," he said before exiting the room.
Brooke suddenly felt like she wanted to cry. She had done this before and yet, it all seemed harder now. She couldn't wait to stop and get out. Yet, she owed the hospital a lot of money and if she was starting fresh in Tree Hill, she had to fill her bank account asap. How was she going to make ends meet there?
She thought about joining a strip club there and laughed as she could not charge the rates she was charging in New York out there. Scarcely had her businesswoman side come out that a man who looked just like Mr. Coleman stepped inside.
"I need you to show me the money first," Brooke asked. She did that with all new clients. The old ones sometimes got a free pass to pay later.
The man pulled out five hundred dollars. Brooke took it from his hands and put them away. "Feel free to tip me after," she whispered sexily before moving on to undo his belt buckle.
The brother was overwhelmed and hence did not touch her much. Brooke knew that the more she was in control, the lesser he would be. So she was quick to tug his pants down and roll a condom on him. She put him in her mouth hastily and his eyes bulged and hips bucked at the feeling of her tongue.
Brooke sighed and gave him what he had paid for. The man was by far better than his brother although his hands did pull at her hair that he was gripping to keep himself from falling. He didn't last very long in Brooke's mouth.
"Damn, your tongue is magic!" he said to her once she had let go of him. Brooke gave him a fake smile as if she appreciated the compliment.
"I would appreciate a tip for that magic," she reminded him with a cheeky expression and eyebrow raise. "Your brother tips very generously. He has a big heart." Brooke knew that the way to get to a man was to touch their egos. This man would definitely try to compete with his blowhard of a brother.
"I'll pay you double if you tell me who actually was better," he said to her.
Men at the club were so funny sometimes. They sometimes got with Brooke just to show that they could afford her and sometimes they would spend hundreds to just hear that they were better than the rest. Brooke knew how to use that to her advantage. All she had to do was listen.
"Oh, that I can tell you even for free. You were so much better. Like come on, your brother is much smaller than you and does this to show off his wealth. You are the real deal," Brooke said and walked up to him sexily. She moved her hands around his body and the man groaned.
"If I could I would stay up with you for longer, but I'm due back on stage and my boss gets really mad if I'm not there on time. So, we'll have to go down now," she whispered in his ear. "Is that okay?"
"Oh yes, of course. Here's a tip for the fabulous time," he said and gave her the double he promised. Brooke smiled and followed him down, pretending to be into him.
That's when she spotted her next target, but she had to do another set first. Brooke went backstage and put her earnings away. She went heavy on the concealer as she hid all the marks that Mr. Coleman had left her with. She could not show her scars to the next client. He would either be disgusted by her or get the wrong idea and do the same. Once they were all concealed, she put on her bra again to pull off on stage, touched up her makeup and combed out her hair. Then she walked to the curtain separating the front and back of the stage.
People whistled as her name was announced. She put on her armour which was a flirtatious smile and walked out confidently. She did another flawless show and shimmied with the clients to extract more bills out of them once she was dancing in the crowd. Brooke was a hit with everybody. She just had the grace of a real human and perhaps because she didn't do drugs, she was very well aware of everything that was going on around her.
"Hello, Mr. Daniels, you came here after a very long time," Brooke said to him as if they were best friends. She got into his lap and sipped his drink as if she could.
Mr. Daniels found that so sexy as she watched him watch her gulp down the liquid. "I'm sorry honey. My wife had grown suspicious so I had to cut back on coming here until I won her over."
"Well you were missed. What is it that you want today? It's been so long, should we take this upstairs?" she asked him, already pulling him out of his chair.
"Yes, I guess we should," he agreed and moved his hands around her body. As usual, his hands moved to the thin string keeping her panties up.
"How much will it cost to take these off?" he asked, moving his fingers around to stroke her hips inching closer and closer to her inner thigh.
Brooke sighed. She needed to make as much money as she could before Tree Hill.
"Two Thousand Dollars," she closed her eyes and said.
"What, really?" he asked, surprised to hear that she had given in.
"Yeah, it seems like you wore me down. But, this is not for you to sleep with me or even touch me there. Two Thousand Dollars to watch me strip and as you say every single time, take them off. You can jerk yourself in the corner and I'll give you what I have never given anybody else at the club," she made the rules. "And I am going to have to see the money upfront."
Mr. Daniels pulled out two bundles of rolled up bills and showed them to her. "This is yours if I get to take them off you and you do the whole dance routine that you did on stage for me without them. I want to see my money's worth."
Brooke's eyes closed. Was she really doing this? Was she that desperate? Maybe she should never have agreed to go back. She could keep giving those loser blowjobs and lap dances and make enough to pay the hospital timely according to their plan.
Yet, that would mean Sam could never be hers, Jamie would be exposed to so many bad things. She needed the out for her kids but she needed the security because she had seen homelessness and not having a dime to your name and where it left you. She did not have it in her to go back to that either.
"It's a deal. Let's go."
Brooke asked him to go upstairs and wait for her. She felt like her head was spinning. She did not want to do this. She somehow felt like she understood Celeste and Solaris at that moment. They did much more than she did for half the price. She almost understood why they turned to drugs because frankly, she wanted some too for what she was about to do.
She knew that she would never touch them. She wouldn't for Jamie and Sam, but she wasn't averse to alcohol. She walked behind the bar and picked out a shot glass. Grabbing a bottle of vodka from the shelf, she filled in and downed it in one swift gulp. Her throat burned as the clear liquid travelled down her oesophagus. She filled the glass again and drank it down too. Her head was still buzzing but she knew she couldn't have more. She needed to still be in her senses. She could not let the man take advantage of her beyond what she had agreed to.
Brooke steeled herself and made her way up. Mr. Daniels was impatiently waiting for her.
"You do not get to touch me, just watch me," Brooke reminded him as she submitted to allow him to pull off the last vestige of her modesty.
"Oops, sorry," he said as his fingers 'accidentally' touched her nether regions. Brooke hissed as if his fingers were encrusted with burning embers. She moved his hands away and linked them to the strings by her hips.
He slowly pulled them down and his eyes grew wide as if he had uncovered treasures of gold and platinum. Brooke quickly moved away from him once the thin garment had pooled by her feet.
For the first time in a very long time, she felt naked. She felt shy and seen, as if someone had found her diary and read it and now they were privy to her deepest darkest secrets. She quickly pushed those thoughts aside and assuaged her conscience with thoughts that it had been worse in high school. She had agreed to do this and it was okay. The whole world had seen her flashing when the time capsule had released. She had slept with everyone good-looking at the High School and surrounding colleges. She was Brooke Davis and she could do this.
Brooke took a deep breath and did her routine. Mr. Daniels pulled himself out of his pants and began jerking himself off. Brooke didn't look at him. She only concentrated on the routine. She thought of the two thousand dollars that she had received. She thought of Jamie and Sam, then Lucas' face showed up in her thoughts and she felt small, like she was being judged, like she was letting him down with her actions. Why did she feel the need to please him that badly and be in his good books? It was all his fault that she was returning home with hope and a new unattainable air castle!
