I DON'T OWN ANYTHING

Touko's pov

In a blink of an eye, the week got over. It felt like just yesterday, I saw what mom really felt and what she had been doing ' after all this, I feel sorry for her' I looked out of the window, in a night sky. She was bearing her daughter's death all by herself, I had dad and both touya and kyohei but she was alone, dad might have helped her but...

I suddenly felt anxious like something bad is about to happen, I shook away the thoughts 'no, touko, there is nothing, just wish that your brother's performance goes well' . " Is something wrong with you ?" touya asked "huh? no, just overthinking" he got time today, it is like, from the time he got into university and started helping dad, he is never available. " Touya, do you hate mei ?" I don't know what he is feeling deep down, he keeps his distance from all of us, never getting involved in anything unless it concerns with him, just like dad.

" You... got time today?" I asked, it might have looked like I don't want him here, but he didn't looked at me, instead stared out of the window, " it's not like that, if it would have been the first day of your movie release, I still would have taken out time to go watch it" 'it seems I created a misunderstanding for him' I tried to tell him what I really meant but then our car stopped, " we arrived " he said and got out first, I followed him inside.

The show was great, after it ended we both went behind the stage, to his changing room. We knocked and he opened it, as soon as he saw me his eyes started shining, " Touko!" he hugged me, " hey, did you saw it ! my performance I mean " " yes, of course " I replied and pat his back, though he is older than me, but he gets so happy just looking at me that he turns into a child.

" If it isn't a problem, can we come inside?" touya asked, kyohei looked at him and nodded. Once inside, we sat on the chairs available in that small room. " Well,... how is it going, touko? " " uh...um, yes everything is going well " he looked at touya and then again at towards me.

There was a silence, suddenly my phone rang, " oh, excuse me, it is from mom " I picked up, " hello?" " Touko! I...I found it, the culprit..." suddenly the line went dead, but before that there was a sound like a speeding vehicle was coming near, 'what happened?... mom' " hello" nothing, my eyes widened. I dashed out of the room to the parking lot where cheren was waiting, " cheren take me,...to, uh" he looked at me with shock and confusion.

" What happened touko? " in hurry I forgot that I didn't knew exactly where mom was, "touko !?" kyohei yelled, both touya and kyohei came running 'I didn't noticed?' I turned to cheren, " cheren, mom,... someone wants to silence her" " huh?" touya and kyohei were confused but cheren understood what I was trying to say, " how do you know ?" " she called and,... I heard a vehicle speeding towards her and then the call ended ".

" It could be that someone might be chasing her and that's why she hanged up the call " "but I heard something hit the car and..." " let's see in news, okay?" I nodded and pulled out my phone but again it started ringing, this time it was from dad. " Hello?" " Touko, are you safe ?" he seemed to be tensed " yes, why?" " it's about your mom, she... she got into an accident " a shiver run down my spine, ' my intuition was correct!' somebody wanted to silence her.

" Hello, Touko?" " ye- yes?" " wherever you are, if you aren't at home then just go there, it's somebody there with you" I fell on my knees, so many things started running in my head, it was confusing and horrible at the same time. Touya, Kyohei and Cheren were asking me what happened but their voices weren't coming, Touya took phone from my hand and started talking with dad. He once turned to me with widened eyes, still talking on phone.

I somehow managed to get up with Kyohei and Cheren's help and sat inside the car.

After finishing his talk, touya sat inside the car along with Kyohei and cheren started driving. Whole ride was quite after touya finished explaining the situation to other two. Apparently the breaks of the truck was failed because of which it hit her car, either way she didn't survived, the car got crushed between the truck and the wall of a building. Thankfully at that time none of the pedestrians were walking there, so only two people faced the tragedy, one is mom and the other is the truck driver.

'I don't think that dad will let this slip' I looked out, it seems cheren was trying his best not to take the car from the direction where the accident took place. " Cheren, stop the car" Touya said, " huh? but your dad- " " stop it, I want to look into it for a bit " cheren gulped but stopped it anyway. " Be careful " I said when he got out of the car, he turned back and smiled " I will be ".

He don't know anything about the detectives that mom had hired so it might be safe to assume that whoever is behind this would not harm him. Anyway I don't think that the person is stupid enough to kill two people of same family in the same day.

" Touko" kyohei called, I looked at him, he was talking in serious tone, " I don't know what is going on... but I guess you know " I looked outside towards where touya went, then sat in car and asked cheren to drive back home, "are you listening" I nodded " mei never committed suicide " this took me by surprise, my eyes widened, " this is what I think, I don't know if it is right or wrong " 'so he just guessed it?' he looked out, " please be careful and don't take all the burden on yourself " "yes, understood " .

No, in reality, now I do want to find this person who is responsible for killing my sister and mother. 'Sorry Kyohei, but I can't involve you, touya and dad into this' I closed my eyes, they felt heavy and I fell asleep.

Done... it has been months since I wrote this one, though this one seems to be boring and plain, but still according to me it is interesting. I agree that I am not at all a great mystery writer but I give my best as to not reveal what will happen next... so, enjoy...
