Viktor Krum sighed in relief as he walked down the halls of Hogwarts. Oddly enough the old castle was growing on him the more he stayed here. Albeit that was mostly thanks to a young, energetic, kind, smart…. What was he thinking about again? Oh yeah! How good his stay here had been….besides his cousin and the Weasley family incident….and the dragon…..and the noise that keeps launching itself at him. Oh not the egg from the task but damn Headmaster Karkaroff. He respected the man but Karkaroff kept bothering him to the point that he never got any personal time with Hermione…almost. He had been able to shorten his time on his flying training to compensate.
Krum was so lost in thought however that he never registered anything was in his way till his head bounced off it. What was it? Well a giant wall of black matter that sectioned off and stretched out a bit. Krum groaned as he raised his hand and pressed on it. It was solid and was made of something he couldn't really tell what. He was about to move when he felt his feet get held on to.
"Viktor Krum….."
His eyes jumped up and around looking for the voice as he tried to pull at his legs.
"Harry?"
"Yes…"
"What are you doing?" Krum grunted as he fell down a bit before he pushed himself back up.
"I…am doing what I need to." Krum gulped as he remembered how Harry had caused the girls in the Great Hall for his friends. "Viktor….PAY ATTENTION!" His voice echoed as if in a chamber. "You WILL be a gentleman to her." Viktor was about to ask them but only one person came to mind. "Hermione Is a wonder of a woman. Someone who deserves the best." The shadows seemed to extend and surround Krum. "So at the Ball you will be the BEST of the BEST to her….or I will make the torture curse look like a massage. YOU WILL HAVE NO PLACE TO HIDE! NO PLACE TO DISAPPEAR TO! NO WHERE TO KEEP YOURSELF SAFE! FOR IF YOU HARM OR CAUSE HER ANY DISTRESS THAN I SWEAR I WILL REND YOUR FUCKING SOUL! AND FEED YOU TO ARAGOG! UNDERS-"
"Viktor? Harry?" A voice broke through the monologue and instantly everything went silent around them. "Someone gonna start talking?"
"Harry was just making sure i took care of yo-"
"Viktor hun…shush." The smartest witch of her generation walked with purpose before she began to hit the wall.
"Don't."
Wack
"Threaten."
Wack
"My"
WACK
"Date!"
Silence once again permeated the room.
"Harry?" The voice was now calm as the anger escaped her.
"No." He knew what she wanted.
"Harry.. Open this wall right now."
"No."
"Harry you open this wall now or else!"
"I don't wanna." Harry gulped as he sat beside the wall of darkness being his only safety net from the anger and ire of his closest friend.
"Harrison Jameses Potter, open this wall or….or…. Or I'm telling your McGonagall!"
"What I have done is acceptable by wizarding law…"
"OPEN THE DAMN WALL!"
"I have done nothing wrong!"
"YOU THREATENED TO FEED HIM TO ARAGOG!"
"I don't know what you're talking about, especially since it was conditional."
"Conditional my ass Potter… not one word out of your mouth Viktor."
The poor man who was still trying to free his feet held up his hands. "I wasn't gonna say anything…"
"As your best friend it is always in my interest to make sure you are o-"
"Harrison….open…..now."
"You can't do anything to me."
Hermione groaned and growled slamming her forehead against the wall. Her eyes closed for a moment and then she opened her eyes taking in a deep breath.
"...Snuffles….."
Harry's eyes widened before a window opened up and he stood facing her. "You wouldn't dare…." Would she?
"Try me… I'm sure he'd love to know about his godson's recent life" She grinned evilly.
"You're bluffing."
"Am I?" Their eyes locked for a long moment before the restraining of Krum's feet pulled away. The wall shrunk too and she smiled. "Good." She turned taking Krum's arm and began to walk him off.
"You won't do it right?...Hermione?...Hermione….Hermione?!" The silence from her had told him he had overplayed his hand….and she would bring hell fire to punish him for his acts…though in a way she did enjoy seeing him act protectively.
Too bad he forgot…. He screwed with Hermione Jean fucking Granger.
It was a nice morning. With the stress of the trial with the goblin nation and the reconnection with his favorite cousin Andromeda, everything has been quite good. Sirius was actually in a good mood as he flipped through his morning paper and his cup of tea warmed perfectly. He looked up as he saw Remus walk in with the paper and letters.
"Oh did we get a letter from the kids?"
"Yeah actually. Hermione always sends me one a month. It helps in teaching her what she needs for the ready for her OWLS next year…hell she could probably take her NEWTS now and get a decent score though we all know she will probably O all of them." Remus joked about getting a chuckle out of Sirius who opened the newspaper. "It's not like anything could…" Remus paused as he read the letter. He seemed to grow more in depth as he adjusted his glasses and looked closer at the letter.
"Everything alright over there Remus?"
"What did you do?" He spoke abruptly.
"What do you mean what did I do? I do a lot of things." Sirius looked up and then saw the serious, haha, look on his face.
"What. Did. You. Do?" Remus asked.
"Once again I do a lot of things. Maybe if you stop being all philosophical and just fucking-" He stood and reached over taking the letter "Now what do you mean what did I…." He read the letter and his eyes bulged for a moment. "Oh it seems that Harry is doing quite well."
"OH IS HE?!" Remus' voice grew outrageously.
"Yeah i mean to say the lea-"
"I'm talking about the damned scary wall of bloody shadows that isn't a spell that I've ever known!"
"Oh that's quite simple."
"What did you send him?"
"What do you mean what did I sent him?"
"Sirius…. Don't make me get Andromeda."
"You wouldn't dare. Not since that incident in 76."
"Oh really?...Do you have the bollocks?" Remus stared right at Sirius who opened his mouth.
"Nope." Sirius sighed and leaned back. "I sent him a book to help him with these damned Tasks for this disgrace of a tournament." Sirius admitted.
"That's why you've denied me access to the library."
"Yes… for now. I didn't want you to go through and get cursed by any number of those books… I chose the one that would be safest for him."
"And he is right? Safe?"
Sirius nodded. "I swear on my life."
Remus sighed. "I'm sorry old friend…I just…. I can't fail them again. You were right before…. And I promised I wouldn't do it again."
"It's alright Remus. You'll keep this one I swear bud." Sirius smiled as he watched Remus leave before he sighed and rubbed his neck slightly.
"You know he'll find out with the more he stays here."
Sirius groaned and rubbed his head gently. "Maybe. But it's riskier letting him be out where he will be lynched…especially with all the movement that seems to be happening."
"Huh…you're not wrong…. Ya know i want bacon."
"I know I do….hush. Let me think." Sirius closed his eyes and let his thoughts continue. God damned it all.
Harry took in a deep breath as he rolled his shoulders. It had been a long day of training and he hadn't taken the time to stretch and relax like he usually did. Not to mention panicking about how Hermione still planned to make his life a living hell but that's besides the point.
Harry picked up a stone and rubbed it in his hand before throwing it out into the lake skipping it across the surface. His thoughts had been on something he had seen recently…It might require him to take a day trip soon… or something. He still remembered how he found out. He closed his eyes before hearing something approaching.
He smiled as he heard something come up. He leaned his head back up.
"You know it's cold out here."
"Though it doesn't surprise us you're here." He chuckled at their comments and leaned both left and right feeling their lips gently press against his cheeks. A motion that had been quite common nowadays.
"There is steam coming out of your ears Harry."
"It's smoke coming out of your ears Parvati.." Padme scolded her sister before turning back to him. "She is right though. What's got your mind so concealed?"
"The letter."
"The letter?" They both spoke at once in confusion before realization dawned on them.
"We didn't want you to know about that." Parvati spoke up shyly for the first time ever it seemed. "You know that's not why we asked you, right?"
"I know." Harry smiled and leaned his head on her shoulder softly. "I never thought that."
It was a few days after people found out about the Patil Twins and Harry that a letter was sent to the girls. A letter from their father. In a way it congratulated them for connecting to one of the most renown pureblood families. He basically had called Padme and Parvati as nothing more than trophies. Harry had been so enraged over the fact and had gone to actually damage the walls of the Chamber.
"I was so angry for how you two were treated."
"Treated?"
"Okay not treated but referred to Parvati." Harry sighed and felt a few pebbles get lifted into the air and he watched as they spun and twirled shredding as they did to fine dust. "It was like you were something to give to anyone. You didn't deserve that." He greeted his teeth. "I want you both to know that I value both of you…more than you could realize."
"We value you too Harry." Padme smiled as she took one of his hands in hers. She leaned her head on his shoulder as he laid back.
"Exactly. We promise to be here for you." Parvati smiled down at him as she took her spot as well.
Harry could only sigh in relief as he opened his arm and let the both of them cuddle up to him as his magic expanded and kept the area around the three a nice comfortable temperature so they could enjoy the moment.
"I know…." He smiled as he felt their breathing steady out. "And I promise to always be for you."
Harry smirked as his cloak expanded and wrapped around them so it was as if they had a blanket around them. Which was the adorable scene where Hermione and Viktor found the three about an hour or so later.
"Should we wake them?" Krum asked softly.
"...As much as it would be a good way to get payback…no." Hermione smiled and leaned down brushing Harry's hair out of his face for him. "He deserves to be at peace….just like you at least once in a while." Hermione took his hand and walked with him off, only stopping briefly to look back and smile at the fact that Harry pulled the two of them closer. Yeah, she thought, at peace. Though the frown soon reappeared on her face as she realized something. Remus never replied to her letter today.
