As the generals, Terrans and Usagi were enjoying supper they watched as the sky got darker and rain began to fall. Mamoru was not unaware of how his girlfriend was holding him that much tighter as the thunder started, 'I had forgotten how the storms, especially the thunder scared you.'
Usagi just nodded into his chest as she slowly let her grip loosen only to be startled by the sound of her phone going off. "Hello?"
"Usagi, is Chibi-Usa with you?" a worried Ikuko asked her daughter.
"No, I thought she was at home. Roselyn said she dropped her off as she was tired from all the excitement of Disney Tokyo." Roselyn and Jason nodded as Usagi looked to them for confirmation.
"They did. But when I went to get her for supper she wasn't in her room."
"Don't worry, mom. I will call my friends and we will find her." Usagi said looking around the room before hanging up with her mom. As the generals and Roselyn went to get their rain gear Usagi pulled out her communicator and as soon as her four senshi had answered she explained, "Chibi-Usa has run off again and we have no idea when she left my house or where she could be heading in this weather."
The senshi answered their princess, "We're on it." "We'll find her." "I will scan the area and expand the search from their with my computer." "Let's go, girls."
Usagi closed her communicator as Roselyn returned with an extra poncho for Usagi. "Thank you, Roselyn."
Roselyn nodded as she said, "The generals and I are going to head out to search. Jason and I will retrace the route we used to take her home. Zoisite is going to meet up with Mercury to assist with the electronic search and search patterns. While Kevin and Nathan are going to head to the park where we originally found her."
Mamoru nodded as Usagi pulled on the poncho, "We will try finding her using my powers. Hopefully if she isn't actively blocking it I may be able to track her."
"Make sure that you all keep in contact and tell Zach to make sure that Ami is keeping the girls in the loop." Roselyn nodded as she left her brother's apartment.
Mamoru could feel the anxiety coming from Usagi both from her fear of the storm as well as concern for their future daughter being out in the weather, 'Hopefully, she didn't inherit my fear of storms.'
Elsewhere …
The three remaining spectre sisters were hovering above the city as the oldest was issuing orders. "With Thunderclap causing such a loud storm, it is sure to flesh out the Rabbit. You two spread out and keep an eye out for her and those pesky senshi."
Petz laughed as her sisters teleported away and she turned to watch her droid continue to bang on her drum. Each time the drum was hit thunder roared to life and lightening shot across the sky. Petz floated up into the clouds as she continued watching for any sign of the child she was searching for.
Meanwhile…
After her nap Chibi-Usa had decided to go for a walk before supper as well as see if she could find Usagi. Her mission was to get the silver crystal so she could save her mom and she couldn't do that if she didn't know where it was. As she happily skipped down the street she didn't notice as the sky quickly darkened. Chibi-Usa looked up as she felt rain falling,
"Luna-P!" She called as she bounced the ball and focused on what she wanted it to do. Soon the ball had disappeared, and an umbrella fell into her outstretched hand.
It wasn't until the thunder sounded that the small girl's demeanor changed. Her grip tightened on the handle, and she closed her eyes trying to block out the noise. The second clap caused her to jump and run in fear calling out, "Mommy! Daddy!" even though she knew they weren't anywhere nearby.
Unknown to the little girl is her parents past selves were hot on her trail. As soon as they reached the ground level Mamoru found the first tree he could and placed his hand on it, concentrating on his future daughter he let his power flow into and out from the tree. After several minutes he opened his eyes and reached out for his terrified girlfriend who was putting on a strong outward face despite he could sense her fear. "This way," He said as they opened their umbrellas and started to run.
The generals and senshi had been searching for a little over half an hour when Makoto noticed the punk rocker youma in the sky drumming on a drum protruding from her stomach. Opening her communicator, "Things just got worse. There is a youma and I think she is causing the storm."
Ami typed in a new command into her computer and nodded, "You are right Mako-chan. I had all resources searching for Chibi-Usa I missed it. This storm is full of dark energy."
Zach put a gentle hand on Ami's shoulder, "Not your fault. We were focusing on a different objective that is just as important if not more so." He looked at the computer screen and took note of the location of the youma before closing his eyes and reaching out to the generals, intentionally leaving his prince and princess out. 'Youma in the sky above Koto city. Join up with the senshi.'
'What about the prince and princess?' Kevin asked as he was the leader after their prince.
'I thought it best to leave them searching for Chibi-Usa. If he is able to track her with his power he is they are the best to find her.'
'Agreed. Zoisite stay with Mercury and do your best to continue in both the search as well as providing tactical. Sorry for the double duty.' Kevin said as Nathan and him changed direction toward Koto city.
Zach relayed the plan to Ami and the senshi as the communicator was still open. The senshi affirmed that they were heading toward the youma. The couple sighed both wishing there was more they could do, while realizing that this is where they were needed.
Their progress was slow as with each clap of thunder Usagi froze but Mamoru refused to leave her especially with the fear that was flowing through their link. He took the pause to check for the child's location, whatever had prevented him from finding her that first day seemed to be no longer functioning as he found her and could even feel HER fear. 'Unfortunately, I believe she did inherit that fear of storms. It is partially why we are having trouble catching up to her as with each clap she runs faster and in a random direction.'
Usagi sighed, 'Then leave me here and go to her. I am only slowing you down.'
'Never, she may be our daughter but, you are my princess and my true love. Without you there is no her.' Usagi smiled which died as another clap of thunder boomed. Mamoru swept her into his arms and started running with her in his arms as he did as Tuxedo Kamen. 'We will find her together.' He promised.
Above Koto City the senshi and generals looked up at the youma happily banging on her drum. Venus nodded to the others as she moved to a building with a better vantage point and summoned her power. "Venus Love Chain'n Circle!"
She tried to at least hold it still as some of their attacks would be useless as the youma was so high in the sky skirting the clouds. Taking advantage of Venus' distraction and immobilizing the punk rock storm monster those who had useful attacks started powering them up.
Before the warriors' attacks were ready the youma called out and Petz lowered herself from the clouds simultaneously sending dark lightning at Venus. Although able to dodge the attack it meant releasing the youma. "Shit! Well no point in wasting the attack," Jupiter said adjusting her aim. "Jupiter Thunderclap Zap!"
"Well, well, well I see that you didn't come alone. No matter I can handle a couple of pests." Petz said sending her attack at Jupiter. "Thunderclap, take care of the others. This lightning pest is mine!" Petz smiled as she saw her sisters arrive.
Back at Ami' apartment the mercury computer beeped to alert Ami that the number of enemies had changed over Koto City. Ami looked to Zach as they both realized they were needed. After transforming Zoisite teleported them to the battle site.
As the thunder seemed to be slowing Mamoru and Usagi began to catch up to where the child was hiding. Then a strike of lightning struck right next to the playground that had become a sanctuary for the young child, causing her to scream out in terror and her hidden power to release in a moonbeam. The couple looked at each other and quickly found an alley to transform before racing toward the moonbeam.
Above the playground twelve heads turned at the sudden appearance of the moonbeam. Quickly realizing the interest, the enemies had Sailor Mercury covered the area with her "Mercury Bubbles Blast!"
Sailor moon looked up in time to see how close Chibi-Usa, her, and her companion were to an actual battle. 'We have to hurry!' Tuxedo Kamen nodded as they picked up speed arriving at the edge of a playground, looking around Sailor Moon spotted someone crouched down hiding under the play structure. 'There she is.' Sailor Moon said as she quickly retrieved the child.
Tuxedo Kamen screamed just in time for Sailor Moon to turn as an attack came flying at her and the child in her arms. Barely able to turn shielding the child with her own body as they both screamed, one in pain and the other in fear. Tuxedo Kamen held his breath waiting for signs of life. Chibi-Usa sat up and started shaking the warrior that had protected her, "Sailor Moon? Sailor Moon, are you ok?"
A new masculine voice answered, "She will as soon as she gives up." Chibi-Usa looked up still shaking the fallen hero as tears streaming down her cheeks. The new attacker powered up another attack as Sailor Moon pushed herself up. "Face it your no match for the power of the nega moon, I've seen the future and you're not in it."
Tuxedo Kamen froze when he heard the enemy tell his Princess that she wasn't in the future, 'What could that mean? How is Serenity not in the future.' Suddenly another attack rocked the park. Sailor Moon held the child tight to her breast and leapt over the attack. Tuxedo Kamen jumped into the fray throwing his own attack to block the oncoming attack and shielded the his two girls. "Sailor Moon, I think this guy needs to be taught a lesson, don't you think?"
"Definitely," She said grabbing her sceptre, "Moon Sceptre Halation!"
The man screamed and made a quick exit, leaving the couple to comfort the child and get her to safety as the fog dissipated around them.
All the while above in the sky…
Seeing that Mercury had arrived and if nothing else had delayed the enemy from finding Chibi-Usa, the senshi nodded and turned to face their own opponents. Sailor Jupiter sent her thunder toward Petz; Sailor Venus attacked Calaveras; Sailor Mercury attacked Berthia; leaving the droid Thunderclap to Sailor Terra.
Ice, light, lightning, and roses flew back and forth against the ice, dark energy, black lightning, and thunder. The generals looked on from the rooftops as their skills and powers were earth bound and direct. The women all seemed to be evenly matched, until explosions could be heard from under the fog cover. The sound of explosions made all four senshi turned to see what was exploding which unfortunately exposed their backs. The spectre sisters took full advantage knowing that Rubeus must have also seen the moonbeam and gone for the Rabbit.
Jadeite called out to his fellow shitennou as he leapt into action. 'I must protect them. I won't let the enemy get the other senshi if I can help it!' He thought as he briefly thought of his beautiful martian princess. Pulling his sword out from his subspace pocket and charging it with everything he had. "Ahh!" He screamed as he plunged the sword through the droid that had been fighting the terran princess.
Kunzite followed without though knocking Calavares arms up and bringing his sword down striking her across the abdomen before stabbing her through the gut.
Nephrite and Zoisite cursed at their hesitation as both Jupiter and Mercury were trapped in lightning and ice before they were able to strike Petz and Berthia. Despite their perspective girlfriends being trapped the two remaining shitennou followed the example of the other two taking the sisters out by sword.
As the Venus and Terra sent their attacks attempting to free their teammates they were shocked when their attacks flew threw the air as their friends and their prisons disappeared. "No!" "No! Not again!"
