"Mommy, daddy you're too slow!" A young boy, no older than five laughed happily as his parents raced to catch him.
"Oh, you're gonna regret that!" A woman called out in a good way to her son.
"Do my ears hear a challenge? Then you'll pay for that!" The boy's father lunged at his son, purposely missing, playing for a while in their home in New York. Just another little family having fun.
"Gotcha Jake!" The boy squealed as his mother grabbed him.
"Hold him right there!" Then his father tackled them gently to the ground and kissed them both. "Well, this was fun." Jake laughed.
"Yeah, c'mon Jake, time for some snacks." His mother, Abigail Mercer said; making Jake bound up and start jumping.
"Yay!" Jake cheered,
"Okay, see you in a bit, hon. Got some things in the car that need to be gone anyway." His father, Gabriel Mercer said.
Abigail kissed on the cheek before going over to Jake and picking him up by the waist.
"Woohoo, ridey!" Jake cheered for a ride. Gabriel shook his head at his son's attitude.
"That boy takes after his mother." Gariel said before going to the car to get some things out.
Meanwhile, Abigail and Jake were busy making sandwiches.
"Can you pass me the jelly, please." Abigail asked, Jake bounded over and got her the jelly, which she took with a smile.
"Thanks honey!" Abigail cooed, pinching his cheeks.
"Mom." Jake pouted as he massaged his sore cheek. Abigail just laughed and kissed his cheek.
"There, all better?" Abigail asked, Jake just continued to pout and cross his arms. His mother thought this was cute and giggled mentally. 'He's just like his dad.'
"Okay, tell you what. You can lick the spoon." Abigail spoke, Jake instantly bound and up took the spoon before diving in front of the T.V.
"Every time." Someone behind her chuckled.
"Well, he is your son." Abigail chuckled and got the sandwiches to the living room.
"Hey, he's your son too, you know." Gabriel said and got the orange juice.
They just laughed and watched the movies together.
"Mom?" Jake spoke, eyeing his parents.
"Hmm?" Abigail hummed.
"Can I be a doctor?" Jake asked, his parents smiled at his question, proud of their little son.
"Why, of course you can!" Gabe said, hugging his son and wife.
"I bet you'll be the best Jakey." Abigail nuzzled her precious son, making him smile and giggle in delight.
"Yeah, I'll be the best!" Jake said proudly and climbed onto his father's shoulder.
"But before that, Mush!" Jake called out, Gabe and Abigail laughed before turning off the TV and played with Jake.
When it was night-time, Jake and his family were preparing for bed.
"Night, night, mom, dad. I love you." Jake said, hugging both of his parents.
"Love you too, Jakey. Remember, be the best you can be so you can be a doctor." Gabe chuckled and ruffled his son's hair.
"Yeah, and no girlfriends before you turn fifty." His mother said sternly but one could definitely see the smirk on her face, Jake gave a confused look.
"What's a girl friend?" Jake asked,
"...never mind. Goodnight, Jake, love you." Abigail kissed his forehead and went out of the room with her husband.
"Hey, isn't your brother a doctor?" Abigail asked and saw Gabriel frown a little.
"Gabe, it's been years since you've seen him. You can't just leave him like that." Abigail sighed.
"I didn't leave him. He left us while we were down and out." Gabriel grumbled, remembering his dear brother that left him and his sister in a hole.
"But don't you want to mend those wounds?" She hugged him comfortingly and Gabriel sighed.
"I do...but...it's just hard is all." Gabriel spoke, conflicted about his brother.
"Okay, I was just wondering if you guys wanted to at least talk." Abigail nodded her head in understanding, Gabe kissed her on the head.
"I second that. Goodnight, honey." Gabe said, her giggle a goodnight and they fell asleep.
Outside their house, a man with a gray hoodie and leather jacket stood outside, peering at Jake's window. The man took out a cell phone and dialed.
"Commander, the boy is ready. Begin with the operation." the hoodle man said
Then out of the darkness, five men in heavy battle armor with gas masks came to the house.
"Mission is clear. We grab the boy, if the parents find out, eliminate them silently. Understood?" The commander said and his men nodded.
"Command, this is Badger 2-4, we are ready to silently snatch and grab, repeat we are going for insertion." The radio fired up.
"Copy, proceed as planned. The boy is not to be harmed, silent insertion is a go. You have the green light."
"Roger that. Sanders, the door."
Sanders picked the lock on the door and after a few seconds, it was unlocked. The soldiers entered the home as quickly and as quietly as possible.
"Second floor. Third door on the right." One of them said, When they opened the door, Jake was asleep.
"Cross, sedate the subject." The commander said and one soldier took out a syringe and injected Jake with it.
Jake's eyes flew open when he felt a sting on his neck. The first thing he saw was a metal face with glowing blue eyes and screamed.
"MOM! DAD!" Jake screamed in horror.
Abigail and Gabriel flew off the bed and into the waiting arms of the soldiers.
"What the hell is going on?!" Gabe demanded and saw one of them putting Jake in a bag.
"Get your fucking hands of-" Before Abigail could finish, she and Gabe were shot in the head by two of them.
"Command, operation complete. The boy is secure but the parents are deceased. Awaiting exit at LZ Delta." the soldier reported,
"Copy that. Remove all evidence of involvement. Transport is en route, over."
"Badger 2-4 copies all. All right, burn it all down, leave nothing but ash." He commanded his troops and they got out one stick.
"Thermite out." They all said and threw the thermite to every corner of the house.
"Dr. Mercer, the boy is secure and we're RTB." The Commander said over the radio.
Back outside, the man replied.
"Good." Dr. Mercer said and got into his car bound for Gentek HQ. He saw the house go down and sighed.
"Sorry Gabe." Dr. Mercer mutters, looking away.
"Dr. Mercer, vitals are good. The boy's waking up." A doctor said,
Jake woke up and found he was strapped to a table. He got scared and looked around for his parents.
"MOM?! DAD?!" Jake shouted, looking around
"Do it." Mercer said and the doctor pressed a button.
Jake's screams could be heard throughout the facility erupted when dozens of needles pierced his body in numerous places, injecting a red liquid.

Jake groans, feeling his whole body hurt, his muscles are screaming at him, why is it cold under him.
"What the hell" Jake thought, trying to recall what happened.
"He just twitched again," a young boy's voice reported, and he is hearing an annoying voice now.
"Is he all right?" A girl this time, his age maybe? Or a little younger? Jake doesn't care, trying to remember what happened.
"Wait now I remember" Jake thought, remembering the hell his uncle thought of him though, turning him into a monster, wanting him to be an attack dog for Blackwatch, Gentek and Mercer.
How he turned against them, killing them all, tearing his uncle apart before he consumed him.
Then he had to save New York from a nuke, now he is here in the snow somehow.
"I didn't see him move," another boy, this one older, said skeptically. Jake felt something pointing him,
"Don't poke him!" the girl scolded. Fantastic now
"How else am I supposed to tell if he's alive or not?" the older boy asked, still poking him, Jake had enough, getting up scaring the boy.
"I'm going to shove that up your ass" Jake spoke annoyed looking at the three people in front of him.
"Ahh" The older boy jumps back. The boy had dark brown hair, blue eyes, and was darkly complete. He was one of the blue blobs, wearing a heavy fur coat dyed blue. His expression was harsh, but also inquisitive. His eyes would quickly dart to any movement.
"What the what?" The older boy asked.
"Are you hurt?" the girl asked.. Other blue blobs wear the same as the other boy, they look similar., She looks genuinely concerned, though there was no way she knew the confused and weak individual before her.
"Wait a minute." Jake looked himself over. He moved quickly enough to cause his muscles to tense up again and he winced, yeah he still has the Blacklight virus, however he feels like his missing something.
"Don't hurt yourself," the younger boy said. He looked as young as he sounded, only twelve. He wore orange and yellow robes and had a shaved head. On his head and hands were blue arrow tattoos. His grey eyes also showed concern.
Feeling himself seeing his wearing a light grey undershirt, a simple black hoodie with a red interior, a dark olive jacket with a protruding collar, black fingerless gloves, a brown Leather belt, dark blue jeans and combat boots.
"My name's Katara, this is my brother, Sokka. And this is Aang," Katara said friendlily, gesturing to her companions, seeing Aang wave but Sokka look suspicious to him, he doesn't blame him.
"Katara! He could still be a Fire Nation spy!" Sokka snapped at her sister.
"What's your name?" Aang asked cheerfully.
"Jake Heller" Jake introduce, using his mother's maiden name, never using his father's name, not since his uncle.
"Jake Heller? what kind of a name is that?" Sokka scoffed, Katara jabbed Sokka in the side to shut him up.
"Ignore my brother," Katara said, almost more to scold Sokka,
"I think it's a nice name." Katara spoke,
"Me too," Aang agreed.
"Thank you, where am I?" Jake asked, looking around as he saw it on the ice.
"You're in the south pole," Katara answered, getting a look from Jake.
"How did I get here?" Jake asked Sokka points at him.
"That's what I want to know? first a boy in ice with air magic, with a bison then we found his strange man in the middle of nowhere, something wrong" Sokka glares at Jake while pointing his spear at him, he holds his hands out but Katara slaps him.
"Maybe we can help you" Katara mentions Aang nods.
"Yeah, Appa can give you a ride," Aang said, getting a nod from Jake.
"I would like that, thank you" Jake said walking over to follow the young boy while getting glare from the older boy. Jake looks at her clothes in confusion.
He never saw clothes like that before and he has enough memories of every single clothes available, none of his consumer memories know it.
Jake looks to see a huge bison with flat manatee-like tails, brown eyes, shaggy white fur, and a brown arrow that runs along their back from tail-tip to forehead. He has six legs with three toes on each foot.
"Jake meets Appa, he is a sky Bison" Aang introduces, Jake doesn't know what animal that is.

Jake stands in front of the group of people living in tents with a large snow globe in the middle, Katara grins grabbing both Aang and himself.
"Aang, Jake this is the entire village, entire village, Aang and Jake" Katara introduced, Aang bowed and Jake waved, the people looked at them with suspicion.
Jake notices there are all women and children here, no men. Jake looked at Sokka crossing his arms at them.
Yeah no men.
"Why are they looking at me like that?" Aang questioned an old woman walked forward.
"We don't get many strangers, especially airbenders, we thought they were extinct" The Old woman spoke looking at Aang.
"Extinct?" Aang spoke out,
"Aang, Jake, this is my grandmother," Katara introduced the old woman.
"Call me Gran gran" Gran gran said, Sokka takes Aang's staff.
"What is this weapon? you can't stab anything with it" Sokka playing with Aang's staff.
"It can still hurt you" Jake mentions looking around the village, not seeing much of this place, wondering how he is going to get back to the main lands.
Can he still get to America? Where in the south pole is he.
Jake looks in shock as he sees Aang flying in the air, no not gliding in the air but actually flying in the air like a bird, Jake looks closer to see Aang generating his own air force.
But how? Jake thought about watching Aang crash into a snow fort.
"My fort!" Sokka freaking out, as Aang shakes his head from the snow.
"How?" Jake asked, looking at Aang with a critical eye, Sokka sign as he was buried in snow.
"Great you're an air bender and Katara a water bender" Sokka points out, Aang looks at Katara.
"You a water bender?" Aang exclaimed, Jake looked at Katara and Aang, water and air, going to Sokka to help him out.
"Was your sister always a water bender?" Jake asked him, helping Sokka up.
"Yeah, waving her magic hands and splashing me" Sokka complains to Jake, he nods as he focuses on Sokka.
"Tell me Sokka, where are all the men?" Jake asked him, Sokka frowned at him.
"What are you talking about? I'm a man right here" Sokka proclaimed while puffing his chest, Jake looked at him with a frown.
"Seriously, what's going on?" Jake asked, annoyed while Sokka frowned.
"Have you been living under a rock, we are at war" Sokka explains to Jake.
"War?" Jakes asked, listening in closely to Sokka as explains it all.
Jake learned about a war going on for centuries, started by the Fire Nation, currently fighting the Water tribes and the Earth Kingdoms. Apparently the Air Nomads were wiped out by the Fire Nation a hundred years ago.
Jake wouldn't believe it, he is in another world all together, then again but comparing it to being tortured, experimented, infected, and turned into a walking corpse then a biological abomination of science.
Jake would believe anything at this point.
"A hundred year war, with firebenders and earthbenders" Jake wonders, seeing he is either in another world or he's finally kicked the bucket and this is hell.
"Yeah, my father and the other warriors left to help out" Sokka said looking down at not being included, Jake shakes his head.
"I doubt your father would want you there" Jake said, looking out, Sokka looks crossed at him.
"What's that supposed to mean!" Sokka gets in Jake's face, but Jake doesn't react.
"I mean people die in the war Sokka, I doubt your father wouldn't want to see you get killed" Jake explains as he turns around leaving Sokka to his thoughts as he looks at Jake and Aang.

Jake spends a few days in the South Pole, Aang and Katara went to go penguin sledding while Sokka tries to rebuild his snow tower.
Jake walks forward through the snow carrying a large bag behind him to see Sokka looking over his new made snow tower.
"You fixed your fort?" Jake asked, seeing Sokka make a snow castle.
"Yeah, now it can stand against anything" Sokka spoke with pride, Jake looked at the snow fort, giving it a light kick and it tumbled down, the kids laughed at Sokka's face.
Sokka glares at Jake and points at him.
"And where have you been? Sending our location to the fire nation!" Sokka accuses him, Jake looks around the small village of ice and snow, Jake drops the bag.
"I went to get something for this village as thanks for the hospitality" Jake states, the kid looks at the bag he bought, he opens to show them as they gasp in shock.
Inside it are three leopard seals, like actually a leopard seal, a leopard top with claws and a seal like body. Jake was so confused when he consumed the hybrids.
"How did you kill a leopard seal?" Sokka spoke in shock, the woman and children saw the deadly animals there, enough food and skin for weeks.
"Just my way to show my gratitude" Jake states, doesn't like being in debt as Gran Gran walked over.
"We thank you Jake, for hunting a leopard seal, it takes a hunter group to catch one of them" Gran Gran said, seeing how dangerous Leopard seals are and this man killed three of them, Sokka looked jealous.
"I could have hunted them down," Sokka complains, crossing his arms and looking down.
But a flare was shooted in the air from the Fire nation ship, Jake and everyone else spotted it.
"That can't be good" Jake states, seeing trouble is coming.
On a ship a few miles off the coast, Zuko was looking at his telescope with anticipation. He had finally located the Avatar.
"Wake my uncle and tell him…I've found the Avatar." The Scarred Prince saw Aang jumping off the ship and he saw a village.
"And I've found his little hideaway."
Jake stands with the other southern tribes as they watch Aang and Katara walk towards them, Sokka looks mad at the airbender.
"You're leading the fire nation right to us by signaling that flare" Sokka accused him, but Katara steps in to defend.
"It was an accident, Aang didn't do it" Katara defends.
"Yeah, it was a booby trap and we booby right into it" Aang rubs his head in shame, Sokka points his finger.
"He admits it, you and Jake are banished from the village" Sokka orders, Jake looks at him, the children stay away from Aang but Katara.
"The fuck man is it cause of the leopard seals" Jake asked, but Katara steps forward.
"You're making a mistake" Katara spoke in outrage.
"No I'm protecting you from threats like them" Sokka points at the two, Jake holds his hands out,
"We'll I'm banished too" Katara said, about to leave but Sokka stops her.
"You're choosing them over your own family" Sokka asked, stopping Katara as she looks conflicted, Aang stops her.
"I don't want to come between your family" Aang said about leaving, Jake walks forward.
"You mind giving me a lift Aang?" Jake asked, while he could leave on his own, he doesn't want to use his Blacklight virus and see it better to talk to someone.
"Sure thing Jake, come on" Aang said, jumping on with Jake climbing on his tail to his saddle, Aang turns sadly while leading Appa though.

Jake stands on floating ice with Appa and Aang resting.
"So were you born a bender or can anyone learn?" Jake asked, seeing Aang looking depressed as he turned to him.
"I was, benders are born, or you find out you're a bender later, I don't know I never think about it" Aang shrugs with a frown, Jake sees the look.
"Missing Katara ha" Jake said, seeing the look on Aang's face.
"Yeah, I miss her" Aang moans while Jake nods.
"I guess missing that hundred year war is a lot to go by" Jake said looking forward while Aang nodded.
"Can't believe I missed so much, my whole life just gone and I wake up to this" Aang laments about his life, Jake narrows his eyes at something from a distance.
"That war might be closer than you think" Jake said, Aang looks to see a fire nation ship heading towards the Southern tribes.
"I'll be right back, Jake keep an eye on Appa" Aang opens his glider, flying towards the ship leaving Jake and Appa behind.
Jake watches Aang leave, turning to the sky bison looking at him, Jake just stands there.
"Sooooo….how do you fly again?" Jake asked, getting a grant from the bison.
"Your swimming is impressive enough" Jake said, walking towards the bison.
"Come on big guy, Aang is going to get captured and we should save him" Jake said, getting a grant from the sky bison as Jake jumps on the saddle.

Jake walks Appa though the back of the South tribe, seeing Sokka grabbing supples.
"Jake! Aang got captured by the fire nation" Sokka said,
"I know"
"They said he was the avatar" Sokka said, Jake shrugs.
"Ok" Jake said as Sokka turned to him.
"We need to save him" Sokka proclaims turning to him.
"I know, that why I bought Appa" Jake states, making Sokka turn to the bison.
"Oh, wait, how do you know Aang's the avatar?" Sokka question Jake,
"Katara said the Avatar displeased a hundred years ago, the same time Aang was frozen in ice" Jake shrugs as Katara comes up.
"We're ready to go" Katara asked, Jake shrugs at them.
"I only got the clothes on my back, '' Jake said as he helped the siblings back their supplies on the Appa saddle.
Katara takes the reins as she slowly leads Appa to swim to the fire nation ship.
"Fly…flight" Sokka trying to get Appa to fly while Katara tries to encourage the bison, Jake doesn't believe the Bison can fly.
"I don't see a large animal like Appa flying" Jake said, not believing it unless he sees it, while Jake is tempted to consume Appa and learn his secrets, he rather not.
Not that he hasn't killed animals before but it is not much better then killing people, especially intelligent animals.
"What did the kid say…Wooowhoo….Yeahha….Yipyip" Sokka states but Appa begins to move his large tail, getting momentum Appa begin to fly in the air, freaking out Sokka.
"He is flying! He Flying" Sokka notices the looks from Katara and Jake.
"Big deal he is flying" Sokka dismisses but still having a look of wonder in his face, even Jake was amazed at how Appa does it.
"It really tempting me at this point" Jake spoke to himself, feeling the need to consume new biomass, especially someone like Appa.
"No no no don't think of it" Jake said to himself, not giving himself a reason to go out and consuming everyone and everything, something Katara noticed.
"Jake, are you ok?" Katara asked concern but Jake waved her off.
"I'm fine, just not..used to flying yet" Jake states, trying to keep himself under control as they head for the metal ship.
They look to see Aang flying around with firebenders shooting at him,
"They he his" Katara called out, Jake stands up.
"Jake what are you doing" Sokka calls out, Jake ignores him, jumping off the flying bison to the water siblings' shock.
Jake spreads his arms out, a red spread around his arm as he glides towards the fire nation ship, dropping down and landing between Aang and the fire benders.
Jake stands in front of Aang with his arm crossed and eye burning holes in their head, seeing five five benders turn to him.
"So you're the fire nation I've been hearing about" Jake glaring at the fire benders, Zuko narrowing his eyes at the newcomer standing in his way.
"Get out of our way, this has nothing to do with you" Zuko demands him but Jake scowls.
"No, however I don't approve of kidnapping a child" Jake states, glaring at the scar prince, the old man behind them looks at Jake with concern.
"Hey I'm not a child" Aang complains to him, but shuts up at Jake's side glare.
"Zuko be careful with this one" the old man warns Zuko, seeing Jake as a larger threat, Jake looks at them with red glowing eyes.
"We are walking away from this, if you attack now, I swear your regret this" Jake swears to them, scaring the fire benders and Aang a little, turning to Aang, seeing Appa coming towards them.
"Let go Aang" Jake said, turning around but Zuko glares at them.
"BURN THEM" Zuko shooting fire with the other firebenders shooting fire at Jake.
Aang jumps back avoiding the flames but Jake stands there getting burned.
"JAKEEE" Aang called out, Sokka, Katara and the firebenders look on, all expecting Jake to be nothing but ash.
Only to look in shock seeing the man standing in the same position with burned flesh and clothing but no screaming.
Jake turned around with his eyes burning red scaring the Fire Nation soldiers. One tried to attack him with his spear but Jake dodge the spear, Jake has avoided bullets so spears are nothing. Grabs the spear pulling the fire bender closer.
The man tries to burn Jake but Jake grabs his hand, breaking it off.
The man screamed in pain at the stub of an arm. Jake punched his arm through his chest, killing the man instantly.
"Sorry about this but you did set me on fire" Jake spoke out, doesn't want to do this but the fire ticked him off.
Iroh saw this and felt a chill in his spine, this man possesses such strength beyond anything else.
Aang and the water siblings look in shock, first seeing Jake take a torrent of flame by six firebenders without screaming and then brutally kill another man without much effort. Jake looks at the dead firebender.
"I can't stop this" Jake looks down, stabbing into the body with his arm, everyone watches in horror as tendrils wrap around the dead body, break it down and melt into Jake.
Jake holds his head, the memories of the fire bending coming to his head.

"I can't believe we're helping the banished Prince" A Fire bender guard complains to him, he signs to his friend.
"It's not so bad, we get to travel for free and learn from the dragon of the west" He said, enjoying learning about fire bending from a former general of the Fire nation.
"And be the spoiled prince punching back" his friend complains as he shrugs.
"Learning about firebending from a former general, free travel and fighting royalty, not a bad life" he states but his friend shakes his head.
"All in vain with no Avatar to find" His friend states.

Jake takes a deep breath, the memoirs of the fire nation and traveling around with the banished prince and training under the former General Iroh. Taking a deep breath like how firebender trains.
Never realizing how he never breathed before till now.
Prince Zuko couldn't believe his eyes, seeing the burned man kill one of his men and melt him down, he glared at him and the airbender.
"GET THEM" Zuko screamed in rage, shooting fireballs at both Aang and Jake.
Zuko shoots fireballs at Aang, while the other fire benders attack Jake. Jake blocks each attack with his hands as more fire benders attack him.
Jake blocks each fire as he kicks another bender in the head, snapping his head ducking under a fireball and upper cutting another one head off.
Jake holds his hand out against the other two benders, getting his hands ready.
"Let's see if this works" Jake said, pushing his arm forward as the larger fire came from his hand, burning the two fire benders.
Scaring everyone and seeing the strong monster is also a firebender! Jake leaps on both Firebenders, growing large claws and slicing them to pieces and consuming all the dead firebenders.
Zuko kept trying to burn Aang who blocked and avoided the flames, trying to beat him but shoot him in the water.
"AANG" Katara shouted, Jake looked to see Aang in the water and glared at the prince.
"You think your father will restore your honor? You are nothing to him" Jake calls out, surprising Zuko.
"How did you know that?!" Zuko accused him, how did this unknown person know about his father and honor.
But then Aang came out of the water surrounded by water, shocking everyone as Aang bends the water around himself, sending every firebender out of the boat and Zuko in the water. Jake jumps over the water attack.
Appa lands on the ground with Sokka and Katara.
"Aang, Jake" Katara spoke, looking at Jake with a little fear, which Jake doesn't blame her.
"Let's go" Jake said, getting on the bison without my word, Aang tries to go but looks for his staff.
"Wait, my staff" Aang said, Sokka jumped to get it.
"I got it" Sokka grabs the staff but Zuko grabs it.
"AHHH" Sokka screams, poking Zuko off him as he falls down, more firebender shows up, Katara grabs a water ball.
But she launches it backwards, freezing Sokka's legs.
"HEY" Sokka complains trying to get out of the ice, Katara apologizes then does the same thing but turns backwards.
Freeze the remaining men behind her.
"Let go" Katara state getting on Appa with Sokka behind having breaking himself out of the ice, Aang get Appa to fly out.
Iroh brings his nephew up the deck, but Jake isn't having it look at the ice glazer beside them Jake transformed his arm into his Whipfist.
Swinging his long tendril like arm and break a huge chunk of ice on the ship, stopping them from shooting them down.
"What are you?!" Sokka calls out, freaking out seeing Jake transformed his arm.
"I'm complicated," Jake said, sitting down on the bison as Aang led them away from the fire nation ship.
Aang flies away with appa away from the fire nation ship, none of them talking about Aang being the Avatar or whatever Jake was.
Jake knows he has to explain his actions and his existence to them.
I Saw the new Avatar show, saw a few episodes but I didn't like it, it missed big parts of what made the original so great, then I watched a few more of the original Avatar clips and saw the Prototype game after reading a few fanfic.
