Chapter Fifteen

I've had writer's block on this story for the longest time. I'm so sorry for kinda abandoning it.

She walked through Andy's apartment and grabbed a glass of water and walked back into the bedroom, knowing that Andy may be thirsty when she woke up. She walked out of the apartment and hesitated when she opened the door, not sure if she should stay to keep an eye on her.

She isn't a child Diane, she'll be okay. She's strong. Diane thought, sighed and then walked out of the apartment, locking the door as she did.

It was hours later when Vic got back to their apartment. She was worried about how Andy would react to seeing her so soon after her panic attack, but she thought her wife may need her. She walked in, dropped her keys by the door and then rushed through the apartment and to their bedroom. She knocked and when she didn't hear a reply, she opened the door as quietly as she could.

Vic saw Andy under a blanket with a peaceful expression on her face. She smiled at her wife, got changed and then slid into bed next to her and smiled when Andy turned and wrapped her arms around her.

"I'm sorry." Vic heard Andy mumble.

Vic shook her head, a frown taking over her face. "Andy, you have nothing to be sorry about, okay?" Vic watched Andy's eyes open. "You can't help how you feel, and I don't want you to ever think you have to hide from me, okay? I love you so much, Ans." Vic watched Andy's eyes tear up. "No. no. I didn't mean to make up upset, baby." Vic told her, moving a hand to rest on Andy's cheek.

"You didn't make me upset, mami," Andy told her, cupping her cheek. "I'm glad I have someone who worries about me like you do." Andy looked down. "I just needed space. I didn't expect the panic attack to happen, and I don't know what to do. It was the first time you've seen that side of me."

Vic didn't say anything, she just squeezed Andy tighter.

"Andy, do we need to talk about what happened?" Andy cuddled closer to Vic, wrapped an arm around her midsection, and pulled her close. "Because I just want to help, okay?"

"I know, Vic. I know it was probably terrifying seeing me like that and I wish I didn't panic when you came to try to help me, I just needed space and I'm okay now. I promise, okay?" Andy felt Vic nod. "I love you, Victoria Hughes."

"I love you too Andrea Herrera." Vic smiled and the couple fell asleep shortly after.

It was a day later, and Andy and Vic were at the station. They walked into the beanery, hand in hand but froze when they saw everyone there. Andy was shocked. Her team was never all here before 7 am.

"Did hell freeze over? What are all of you doing here on time?" Andy asked, walking to the coffee pot.

"We wanted to talk to you and Vic," Travis told her, and Andy looked around the room. She saw Robert looking down and resisted the urge to lunge at him for the way he spoke to her last shift.

"About what?" Andy asked, moving around the kitchen island and sitting down on a stool.

"How we've been acting lately. You don't deserve it. We were just really taken aback from learning about your relationship," Jack told her and walked closer to her. "Look, I know when you first said you were in love with someone we all acted horribly towards you and I won't speak for everyone else, but I am so sorry, Andy. I never should have blocked you from leaving the beanery. It was wrong and I hope I get the opportunity to make it up to you," Jack said, and Andy looked at him, trying to gauge how sincere he was being.

Andy took a deep breath. "Thank you, Jack. And I know you regret your actions with the way you stood up for me when Robert was being a dick," Andy paused and looked around the room. "Where is Sullivan?"

"I'm right here, Captain," Robert spat out, walking into the room.

"Actually, you're not," Andy said, and the room went silent, no one made a single sound. "You're being transferred."

Robert's nose flared and Robert stormed up to Andy. Andy stepped back after getting off the stool. Andy hoped her ex would never hurt her but right now with the hatred in his eyes, she wasn't sure. She saw Jack and Travis move closer as they stood in front of her and was grateful that she had them standing up for her because she was too tired to deal with Robert's shit.

"You can't just transfer me!" Robert shouted shocking everyone and Vic saw Andy flinch.

"Sullivan, you need to back off. Right now," Jack said, pressing a hand against his chest, making sure he stayed back.

"Get the fuck away from me, Gibson. Andy will never want you," Robert said, and Jack just nodded.

"I know that. I do. I've gotten over that fact long ago, Sullivan. It isn't like she wants you either, Robert," Jack said, and everyone held their breath.

Robert's hands formed into a fist and Jack thought for a second that he would hit him when he sighed and let go of the fist. Robert turned away from everyone and started walking out.

"Where am I transferred to, Herrera?" Robert asked, hate clear in his voice.

"Station 54," Andy answered shortly. "They're expecting you tomorrow, but I told them you may be by today."

Robert nodded and stormed out of the beanery and to the locker room to grab his things.

"Well, that went well," Travis joked, and everyone looked at him, no one amused.

Andy sighed. "Alright, everyone go and do your chores when you're done eating," Andy ordered. "Before you do though, Hughes, Montgomery on aid car. Bishop, Gibson, Cutler and I will be on engine. Warren, Larsson, Wiggins and Powell on Ladder."

Everyone had already been eating before Vic and Andy walked in, so they put the dishes in the sink and walked off to do their chores while Andy stayed where she stood.

Andy watched her wife walk closer to her. "Are you okay, Andy?"

Andy just nodded. "I will be. I already want to go home though," Andy told her. Vic nodded and walked closer to Andy. Vic had things she wanted to say but she decided to pull her wife in for a hug instead.

"It's going to be okay, Andy," Vic said, rubbing Andy's back trying to help calm her down. Andy melted into Vic's arms, glad she was able to show affection now that they were out.

"I hope so," Andy sighed.

"I love you," Vic told her, pulling back from the hug while keeping Andy in her hold.

"I love you too," Andy smiled. "now get to work, Hughes. The aid car isn't going to clean itself."

Vic groaned. "Fine. But after that, I am going to join you in your office," Vic told her, walking out of the beanery, feeling Andy's eyes on her and she smirks.

"That woman is going to be the death of me," Andy whispered under her breath, shaking her head, smiling.

The next chapter will be the last one.
