Zeus' daughter, Athena, was born as a result of another affair not between Zeus and Hera. This time, with another Oceanid named Metis. He wanted to take as his wife. However, Metis rejected his affections and remained stubborn. She tried to escape the persistent Zeus, transforming into anything.
As hard as she tried, she could not escape the Supreme God of Olympus and in the end was caught. Zeus jumped on her and not being able to wait any longer, raped Metis. Metis still attempted to struggle and resist as Zeus thrusted his cock inside her. Her tunic was partly torn.
Once he finished inside her, Zeus carried the raped Metis over his back and brought her to Olympus. He forced her to marry him and so he found himself a queen. He kept her close to him until one day, Gaia visited them.
Gaia whispered to Zeus of a terrifying prophecy. His wife would give birth to a son, who would eventually overthrow him, just like he overthrew his father Cronos. As if to confirm it, Zeus learned that Metis was pregnant. And although it was his very first child, Zeus chose power over family.
He tricked Metis and devoured her, so she could not give birth to the future usurper. Time passed and Zeus, who became powerful even more, began to feel headaches. Each day, the pain increased. That was, until he felt a horrible pain and as if his head was about to explode.
Soon a source of light began to come out of the crack of Zeus' head and out came a beautiful girl clad in white tunics, wearing a war helmet and holding a spear.
Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom and Strategic Warfare, emerged out of Zeus' head. Despite the pain, Zeus felt proud of his daughter, who inherited her mother's wisdom. Metis, however, died, and the prophecy of Zeus' son, did not fulfil.
Sometime later, Zeus thought that Athena needed a mother figure and married his sister, Goddess Hera, who was in love with him for a very long time.
However, due to Zeus' constant acts of adultery, the relationship between Hera and Athena was cold as the new Queen of Gods was jealous of her step-daughter, and the love she got from her father. Athena was wise, pure, just and reasonable. She was Zeus' favourite child, and some believed her to be his successor.
This led Hera to desire to have a beautiful and powerful son, a son of Zeus, who was worthy of succeeding his father as the supreme God. She too knew of the prophecy given to Zeus by Gaia, and when Zeus cheated on her once again, Hera now had a goal of giving birth to a son who would one day usurp her womanising husband.
Her first son was Hephaestus, but he wasn't the son she desired. Sometime later, Hera was pregnant with a boy once again. Zeus dishonoured her once again by then, as while she was in their bed alone and pregnant, Zeus was spending a night of passion with Dione.
The day after Zeus impregnated Dione with Aphrodite, Hera gave birth. She cried and puffed as the baby was pushed out of her womb. She wept with joy when she heard a baby cry and wept even more when she looked at her son.
Hera was proud of herself as she gave birth to a perfect son. Lying on her bed, she looked at her boy with affection. He was so beautiful and good-looking with his brown hair.
"Your name is Ares," she cooed. "and one day you will be king."
Time went on, and Ares grew. He became stronger and handsome. However, aside from his strength, anger and brutality increased. He thirsted for blood and violence. Ares became the perfect model of a warrior.
He became the God of War.
His desire for blood and conflict horrified the other Gods, even Hera, who dotted on him when he was a child. Many Gods feared for him uncontrollable nature, which led to dislike him. Zeus once told him that if Ares wasn't his son, he would have easily banished him from Olympus.
"To me you are the most loathsome of the Gods." Zeus told him. "The only love you have for is discord and war."
During the battles between men, Ares would join, enjoying the carnage. He did not join a side because it was righteous or more courageous. No, he preferred the more violent and brutal ones.
Due to his violent nature, Ares was constantly at odds with Athena. The two half-siblings became opponents and even enemies. Their conflict reached the mortal realm too. Athena would support Athens, while Ares patronised Sparta.
Whenever the Spartans went to war, whether it was the Persians or even fellow Greek kingdoms, Ares would join their battles, making wars even more bloody. He transformed battles into bloodbaths and massacres.
The other Gods believed that someone so bloodthirsty and violent would never know love. Zeus had his wife Hera, many lovers and his beloved children. Apollo too had many lovers, both male and female, though he usually spent time with Dionysus, the God of Wine. Athena, although she was a virgin and never had any sexual relationship, was compassionate and caring.
Little did they know that they were terribly wrong on the day Aphrodite came into Olympus naked.
Arriving to Mount Olympus, the naked Aphrodite was immediately surrounded by Gods and nymphs, impressed and infatuated with her beauty.
Especially Ares.
The God of War was smitten by her beauty, her naked body, her dirty-blonde hair, her blue eyes, her breasts and hairless vagina. And also, her sweet personality.
For the first time in eternity, Ares fell in love. With the Goddess of Beauty.
And she fell in love with him too, for Aphrodite dreamily stared only at Ares. Many Gods desired for her attention, but her heart now belonged to Ares and only to him.
As Zeus officially accepted Aphrodite into the pantheon, Ares was thinking of speaking to Zeus and Hera, asking for permission to marry her. He would prove them that he was capable of love. He would fight for her hand in marriage and for her.
He had many competitors, including the bisexual Apollo and the young and lustful Hermes, and even his uncle Poseidon. But there was one competitor he did not expect to win. In fact, he never knew of his existence until now, when he came, knocking at the gates of Olympus, and a throne on his back.
