Hey guys, I'm back. Like seriously I can't believe it has been five months since I've last posted and I apologies for that. Well I was kinda discouraged after the last chapter plus i was super busy over these past months. Do not worry, I'll be free this summer so be expecting another chapter. This chapter will be a two parter so expect the continuation soon. Am not that good at writing Knightmare fights but i tried...kinda?
The sun was just beginning to rise over the horizon, casting a warm glow across the sky as Akito stalked through the desolate streets of Fort Noir. His mind was fixed on one thing: finding Leila. He couldn't help but wonder where she was, what she was doing.
Finally, he arrived at the Knightmare hangar, its vast interior housing rows upon rows of sleek, menacing machines. The scent of oil and metal filled the air, mingling with the distant sound of machinery. He scanned the area, searching for any sign of Leila, but she was nowhere to be found.
That's when he spotted Lelouch, lounging against one of the hangar's massive support pillars. His violet eyes were fixed on a tablet computer, his expression unreadable. Without hesitation, Akito marched over to him, coming to a halt just inches from his face. "Where is she?" he demanded, with a neutral expression. "Tell me where I can find Leila!"
Lelouch looked up at him, one eyebrow arched. "And who might you be?" he drawled sarcastically. "I don't believe we've been properly introduced."
Akito glared at him. "You know who I am. Now tell me where she is!"
The corner of Lelouch's mouth twitched upward in a half-smile. "Ah, so you are one of her little soldiers," he said, using the derisive term for their shared unit. "Well, I'm afraid I can't help you there. You see, Leila is with the major right now. You should probably go ask him."
Akito felt a surge of anger rising within him. "Don't play games with me, Julius ,Lelouch, Zero or whatever you call yourself."
Lelouch's smile widened. "My My Akito , calm down, do you like her"
Akito was taken aback by the question. He opened his mouth to respond, but no words would come out.
Lelouch chuckled softly and turned back to his tablet. "Ah, I see. Well, I'm sorry to have disappointed you, Akito. Now if you'll excuse me, I have some rather important business to attend to." With that, he turned back to his tablet, effectively dismissing Akito.
"Hey, Leila, how's it going?" Akito asked as he entered Major Blaise's office, the familiar scent of her perfume still lingering in the air. Leila, sitting behind the desk, looked up at him with a hint of surprise. "Oh, hey there, Akito," she replied, adjusting her glasses. "I didn't expect to see you here."
Akito glanced around the office, his eyes lingering on the empty chair where he assumed Major Blaise usually sat. "So, Leila ,where's the Major?" he asked, trying to sound Formal.
Leila sighed and leaned back in her chair. "He went to the nearby town for reasons I'm not really sure of," she said, shrugging. "And he put me in charge while he's gone. Quite a surprise, really."
Akito raised an eyebrow. "You don't sound too thrilled about it," he observed.
"Oh, it's not that," Leila assured him, smiling weakly. "It's just... he doesn't always explain things well." She hesitated for a moment before asking, "So, uh, what can I do for you, Akito?"
Akito's expression grew serious. "I was just wondering about Lelouch," he said carefully. "I mean, I know he's our new team mate and all, but... well, I'm not sure if we can trust him."
Leila's face flushed with anger. "Of course we can trust him!" she snapped. "He's done more for us than you know. He's been through so much, Akito. He's just trying to protect us all." Her voice softened as she looked at him. "Please, just trust him for my sake. He'll be useful in defeating Euro Britannia."
Akito studied Leila's face for a moment, searching for any hint of deception. He couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't quite right, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. With a sigh, he nodded. "Alright, Leila," he said, trying to sound more confident than he felt. "If you say so."
Border of Euro Britannia
As the cold winds of winter whistled through the barren wastelands of the border between Euro Britannia and Europia, the sky hung ominously low, threatening to unleash its fury at any moment. A lone figure stood atop a hill, silhouetted against the bleak horizon. The figure was clad in a flowing, midnight-black cloak, adorned with the insignia of the Order of Michael. His face, hidden beneath the hood, was etched with lines of experience and wisdom. Shin Hyuga Shaing, the Grand Master of the Order, and today he was rallying his troops for an attack on the city of Kherson.
The air was thick with tension as soldiers from all walks of life gathered around him. Some were on knightmares while others where ground soldiers. The ranks of the army stretched as far as the eye could see, a testament to the scale of the operation they were about to embark upon.
Shin raised his voice, addressing the assembled troops. "Soldiers of Euro Britannia! Today, we march forth to reclaim what is rightfully ours! The city of Kherson it is our duty to purge them for they are hiding a traitor! For the battle ahead will be unlike any you have fought before. The enemy is cunning, resourceful, and ruthless. But fear not, for you stand among the bravest and most skilled warriors this continent has ever known!"
Jeanne then leaned on her knightmare, remembering the time when She gifted Shin the power of Geass
Flashback
Shin, covered in the blood of his father, was a sight to behold. His sword, still glistening with the life it had taken, seemed to sing a song of death and destruction. The air was thick with the metallic scent of blood. It was as if the very room itself was alive with the energy of violence and vengeance.
And then, she walked through the doorway. A woman, dressed in the finest of clothes, her hair flowing like a waterfall. Her eyes seemed to pierce right through Shin, as if she could see into his very soul. He lifted his sword, the blade still coated in his father's blood, and demanded to know who she was.
"My name is J.J.," she said, her voice soft and melodic. "I've come to offer you a choice."
Shin narrowed his eyes, suspicion growing within him. "And what choice would that be?" he asked, his voice low and dangerous.
"The choice between life and death, between love and hate, between hope and despair," she replied, stepping closer to him. "But only if you're willing to accept the power that comes with it."
Her words sent a shiver down Shin's spine. He knew that this woman was offering him something incredible, something that could change the course of his life forever. But he also knew that there must be a catch, some hidden price that he would have to pay.
"And what do I have to do in return?" he asked, his voice steady despite the pounding of his heart.
"I'll tell you when the time comes," she replied, reaching up to stroke his cheek gently. "You must accept the Geass that I am about to give you. You may use it to relieve the suffering of those you love. In return."
Shin considered her words for a moment, weighing the potential consequences. He thought of his father, of how his decisions had led to the man's death. He thought of the world he lived in, filled with pain and suffering and strife. And then, he made his decision.
"Alright," he said, meeting her eyes. "Grant me the power."
With a smile, J.J. placed a finger against his forehead, just above his left eye. As she did so, Shin felt a warmth spread through his body, a sensation unlike anything he had ever experienced before. It was as if a new door had been opened within him, a door that led to a world of infinite possibilities. And as she removed her finger, the world around him seemed to shift, as if it were changing shape and form, becoming something entirely new.
Flashback Ends.
The troops cheered loudly at his words, their spirits rising. Shin nodded in approval, then turned to Jeanne. "Jeanne, your mission is to lead a small detachment into the city itself. Your objective is to find the traitorous leader of this insurgency, Julius Kingsley. You are authorized to use any means necessary to eliminate him. Do you understand your orders, knight?"
Jeanne, her expression grim, bowed her head in acknowledgement. "Yes, my Lord I understand" With that, she turned and walked away from the hill, her knightmares falling into formation around her.
With that, she turned and walked away from the hill, her knightmares falling into formation around her.
And as the Night began to settle, Jeanne, led her men through the lush forest bordering Euro Britannia and Europia. The dew-kissed leaves crunched beneath their armored feet, and the soft hoot of an owl echoed through the trees. She adjusted the strap of her sword, her eyes fixed on the path ahead. Their mission was simple: reach Fort Noir in Kherson, destroy any European forces they encountered, protect the interests of Euro Britannia and Kill Julius Kingsley. She began to wonder why a Britannian like Julius would choose to betray his own country
Her men, followed silently behind her in their Knightmare frames. The only sounds that broke the stillness were the whirl of the landspinners against the rough terrain. Jeanne found herself humming an old tune, her thoughts drifting back to the day she had received her Code...
Flashback
The town square of Rouen was a buzz of anticipation. People of all ages gathered, eager to witness the burning of the witch. The cobblestone streets were packed with townsfolk dressed in their Sunday best, chattering away like a flock of sparrows before a storm. The air had the scent of fear and judgment, the kind that clung to the clothes like smoke from a thousand candles. At the center of this macabre spectacle stood a solitary figure, bound to a tall wooden stake. Her name was Jeanne d'Arc, but the whispers of the crowd had reduced her to a mere heretic.
Her eyes searched the sea of faces, desperate for a glimmer of hope or a sign of salvation. Above the din, a woman with long, luscious ,green hair and a knowing smile caught her gaze. C.C., the very person who had promised her a way out of this hellish fate, now watched her demise with a detached curiosity. Jeanne's heart burned with rage as much as the pyre beneath her feet. Betrayal tasted like bile in her mouth, bitter and potent.
The executioner, shrouded in black, approached with a torch in hand. His eyes met hers, and she saw a flicker of something unexpected—recognition. He leaned in, his voice a secret only for her to hear. "It's me, Jean," he murmured, the fabric of his hood brushing against her cheek. She squinted, trying to discern his features, but the flaming torches cast deep shadows across his face. "Y.Y.," she breathed, her voice trembling with fear and confusion.
He offered her a choice, one that seemed as fleeting as a mirage in the desert. "Take my Code, and you'll live," he whispered urgently.
"But won't it make me-."
"Just take it" said Y.Y. "once this is over, I'll personally oversee your funeral and dig you back up"
Jeanne's eyes narrowed, the red phoenix sigils in her eyes vanished like a candle's flame in a gust of wind. In their place grew a fiery determination. "I accept," she hissed through clenched teeth
"Make it quick."
With a nod, Y.Y stepped back, and the world around her grew blurry. The ropes binding her to the stake fell away like the shackles of a forgotten prisoner. A crimson Geass sigil emerged on the back of her right hand, pulsating with a power she had never felt before. The crowd's jeers grew loude as the executioner touched the torch to the kindling. Flames licked at her feet, and she felt the heat rise, but she did not burn. Instead, she felt a strange, almost comforting warmth wash over her. It was as if she had been plunged into a fiery rebirth, and she knew she had been granted a second chance.
The flames grew higher, the heat more intense, but Jeanne felt nothing but a cold anger coursing through her veins. She focused on C.C., her voice carrying over the crackling fire, "I will not forget this betrayal." The crowd gasped as the flames grew redder, and Jeanne's silhouette seemed to dance within them, untouched.
Later that night
"You're late," a voice said, echoing through the quiet cemetery. The moon cast long shadows across the freshly turned earth of Jean's grave.
Y.Y looked up from his digging, his eyes meeting hers. She was standing, a specter in the night, her hair loose and her eyes gleaming with a fierce light. "I had to make sure it was deep enough," he replied, wiping sweat from his brow.
Jean looked at him quizzically. "What took you so long?"
Ignoring her question, Y.Y offered her a hand. "We need to leave," he said urgently. His voice was low and tight, as if he were afraid of waking the dead around them.
"Where are we going?" she asked, brushing off the dirt clinging to her clothes.
Y.Y led her through the dark streets of the town, his steps swift and sure. The silence was pierced only by the distant toll of a bell, marking the midnight hour. The houses were shuttered tight, their occupants asleep or hiding from the horrors of the recent execution.
Jean looked around, her eyes adjusting to the gloom. "Why did you save me?"
He didn't answer immediately, his gaze fixed ahead. "You're not dead" he finally said. "We have to get out of here before they realize their mistake."
Jean's curiosity grew with every step they took. "What do you mean, 'not dead'?"
Y.Y paused, turning to face her. "Have you forgotten? You're immortal now," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "But you're not the only one who knows the secret of the Code."
Jean felt a chill run down her spine. "C.C.?"
Y.Y nodded grimly. "We can't let her find out you're alive."
The two of them moved through the night, the clopping of their horses' hooves the only sound in the stillness. Jean clung to the saddle, her body still weak from her ordeal. "What will happen to you Y.Y.?" she asked, her voice filled with concern.
"Call me 'Yan' from now on," Y.Y said, his tone final. "And don't worry about me. I've got my own battles to fight."
Jean looked at him, her eyes searching his. "What battles?"
"The kind that never end," he replied, his voice carrying a hint of sadness. "Now go, make your escape. I'll handle things here."
Jeanne, or now J.J. smiled as she rode off
" I'll find you C.C." she said "and make you pay"
Flashback ends
Fort noir
"Commander, incoming call from General Smilas," Akito said
Leila's eyes snapped to the flickering holographic projection. She straightened her back and took a deep breath before accepting the call. The general's face materialized in the air before her, etched with lines of worry and fatigue.
"Leila," he began, his voice gruff yet steady. "How are things holding up?"
"Firmly, General," she replied, her tone crisp and professional. "The Euro Britannian forces have made no significant advances since dawn. We've contained them to the outskirts of the city."
"And Major Blaise?" His eyes searched hers, as if he could see through the digital veil and gauge her honesty.
Leila paused for a fraction of a second, her gaze momentarily drifting to the side. "Last I heard, he was on patrol. He left early this morning, but I haven't had an update on his whereabouts since."
The general's gaze hardened. "Please keep an Eye on HIM"
Leila nodded, her eyes not meeting his. "Understood, sir."
As the call ended, she leaned back in her chair, the tension in her shoulders easing slightly. The mention of Major Blaise always brought with it a peculiar mix of relief and concern. But there was something else on her mind, something more pressing.
"How is the prince?" she asked, her voice lowered.
Akito's expression remained impassive. "As expected," he said, his voice devoid of inflection. "He hasn't been causing any trouble."
The disdain in his voice was palpable, but Leila didn't comment on it. Instead, she nodded thoughtfully. "Good," she murmured. "Keep me informed if anything changes."
The Soldier saluted and slipped out of the room, leaving Leila alone with her thoughts. The prince, Lelouch, had been strangely subdued since his arrival, almost too much so. The calmness of his demeanor was unnerving, a stark contrast to the chaos of the world outside. Was he truly content with his role as a political pawn, or was he playing a game of his own?
The Soldier saluted and slipped out of the room, leaving Leila alone with her thoughts. The prince, Lelouch, had been strangely subdued since his arrival, almost too much so. The calmness of his demeanor was unnerving, a stark contrast to the chaos of the world outside. Was he truly content with his role as a political pawn, or was he playing a game of his own?
The radio on the desk crackled to life, making her jump. "Leila, this is Akito. I've found Wyvern Squad and Lelouch. They're heading to the city center to take on the Britannians."
Leila's eyes locked onto the radio as she responded, her voice firm and commanding. "Akito, assemble Wyvern Squad and report to me. We need to coordinate our defense."
The radio crackled in response, Akito's voice steady. "Understood, Leila. We'll be there shortly."
Leila nodded to herself, her mind racing with strategies and contingency plans.
Not long after, the door open, and Akito strode in, followed by the members of Wyvern Squad. Lelouch brought up the rear, his eyes fixed intently on Leila.
"Report," Leila barked, her eyes scanning the squad.
"We've got a situation on our hands," Akito said . "The Britannians are pushing hard, and we're running out of time."
The Wyvern Squad members sat down, their eyes fixed on Leila as she prepared to speak. But before she could begin, she noticed Lelouch's stressed expression. His eyes seemed distant, his jaw clenched.
"Lelouch, are you alright?" Leila asked, concern etched on her face.
Lelouch nodded curtly. "I'm fine."
Leila hesitated for a moment before continuing. "The plan is simple. The city is laced with hidden turrets and ambush points. We can use these to our advantage."
Ryo cracked his knuckles, a grin spreading across his face. "Piece of cake."
Leila's eyes locked onto Lelouch. "Lelouch will lead the charge-"
But before she could finish, Lelouch's eyes began to glaze over. Red circles appeared on his irises, and his body started to shake.
Memories flooded his mind - his childhood, Charles, his time as Zero. The weight of his past bore down on him, crushing him.
Leila's expression turned from concern to alarm. She quickly turned to Ayano. "Akito will lead the charge. Ayano, escort Lelouch to his quarters. Now."
Ayano sprang into action, gently but firmly leading Lelouch out of the room. The Wyvern Squad members exchanged worried glances, their faces somber.
"What's going on with Lelouch?" Ryo asked, his voice low.
As the squad filed out of the room, Leila couldn't shake the feeling that something was terribly wrong. Lelouch's breakdown had been sudden and inexplicable. She could only hope that he would be okay, and that they would emerge victorious from the impending battle.
The Wyvern Squad members filed out of the room, their faces set with determination. Leila watched them go, her mind still on Lelouch. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong, that the weight of his past was crushing him.
Ayano escorted Lelouch to his quarters, her expression soft with concern. "Lelouch, what's wrong?" she asked, but he just shook his head, unable to speak.
As they reached his quarters, Ayano gently pushed him inside. "I'll stay with you," she said, but Lelouch just waved her off.
"I need to be alone," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
Ayano hesitated, but then nodded and left him alone. Lelouch collapsed onto his bed, his mind reeling with memories. He couldn't escape the past, no matter how hard he tried.
Meanwhile, the Wyvern Squad reassembles outside , Akito at the helm. "Alright, let's go over the plan,"
Ryo nodded, his grin still plastered on his face. "I'm ready to take down those Britannians."
Yukiya nodded, his expression serious. "We need to be careful. The Knights of Saint Michael won't go down without a fight."
"But didn't we whooped their asses last time"
As they discussed their strategy, Leila couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. Lelouch's breakdown had unsettled her, and she couldn't focus on the mission.
But she knew she had to push on. She took a deep breath and turned her attention to the briefing, trying to push her concerns aside.
The squad dispersed, each member heading to their assigned position. Leila watched them go, her heart heavy with worry.
Few Hours earlier
Jean Rowe stepped out of the makeshift briefing room, the cool Ukrainian air a welcome respite from the tension inside. She had just finished addressing the Knights of Saint Michael, their faces set with determination as they prepared for the battle ahead.
Her next stop was Ashley Ashley, the young knight with a penchant for recklessness. She found him in the corner of the camp, a revolver laid out on a crate in front of him.
"Ashley, what are you doing?" Jean demanded, her voice firm but laced with concern.
Ashley looked up, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Just passing the time, Jean. Care to join me?"
Jean's expression turned stern. "We have no time for your antics, Ashley. We have a mission to complete."
Ashley's grin faltered, and he set the revolver aside. "What's my mission?"
Jean hesitated for a moment before speaking. "Your primary objective is to eliminate Julius Kingsley, who lord shaing told you is the rebel Zero."
Ashley snorted. "And what about the Ghost of Hannibal?"
Jean's expression turned serious. "Yes, we have reason to believe he'll be there too. But your priority is Kingsley. Take him out, and we'll worry about the Ghost later."
As Jean turned to leave, Ashley called out, "Hey, Jean?"
"Yes?"
Jean hesitated for a moment before speaking. "Your primary objective is to eliminate Julius Kingsley, who lord shaing told you is the rebel Zero."
Jean nodded. "It's been modified. You'll find the specs on the console. Use them wisely."
With that, she turned and disappeared into the night, leaving Ashley to contemplate his mission.
Jean then walked swiftly through the camp, her destination a meeting with Sir Kim Nickels, a young and skilled Knight of Saint Michael. She found him standing outside his Knightmare, his light silver hair and piercing blue eyes a striking combination.
Leila's voice echoed through the intercom, her commands swift and decisive. "Squad Alpha, report to the west wing immediately. We have incoming enemy forces."
"Squad Gamma, commence firing on the enemy's position. Pin them down, don't let them advance."
The EU soldiers in the panzers sprang into action, obeying Leila's orders without hesitation. The sound of gunfire and explosions filled the air as they clashed with the enemy.
Leila's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with strategy. She knew the Knights of Michael were approaching, their Knightmares a formidable force. She needed a plan to take them down.
"Akito, this is Leila. Lead the charge on the Knights of Michael. Ayano is on her way to assist us."
Akito's voice crackled through the comms device. "Roger that, Leila. I'll take point with Alexander. We'll hold off the Knights until Ayano arrives."
Leila nodded, her eyes scanning the battlefield. "Be careful, Akito. The Knights won't go down without a fight."
Meanwhile, Akito charged forward in Alexander, his knife flashing in the dim light. The Knights of Michael closed in, their own axes at the ready.
The two forces clashed. Leila watched from the command center, her eyes darting between the screens as she coordinated their defense.
The battle raged on, the outcome hanging in the balance. But with Akito, wyvern squad and the EU soldiers fighting together, Leila knew they had a chance to take down the Knights of Michael and secure Fort Noir.
Squad Gamma voices echoed through the intercom, their urgency palpable. "Enemy Knightmare approaching! It's a blue one, with a trident!"
Leila's eyes snapped to the screen, her mind racing. "A blue Knightmare?"
But before she could respond, the voices on the intercom fell silent.
"Akito, this is Leila. Be advised, a blue Knightmare is heading your way," she said, her voice firm.
Akito's response was immediate. "Wait, aren't the Knights of Michael's Knightmares red?"
Leila was about to respond when a tired figure entered the room. Lelouch ,who looked extremely exhausted.
He took the mic from Leila, his voice low and gravelly. "Akito, this is Lelouch. The blue Knightmare belongs to Sir Kim Nickels. Be careful, he's one of the strongest Knightmare pilots in the Order of Michael."
Akito's voice was hesitant. "Sir Kim Nickels? I've never heard of him."
Lelouch's response was grim. "That's because he's been kept under wraps. But trust me, Akito, he's a force to be reckoned with. Take him down, but don't underestimate him."
Leila's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with strategy. Sir Kim Nickels, a new player in the game. She made a mental note to gather more information on him.
"Akito, be careful," Lelouch said again, before handing the mic back to Leila.
Leila's voice was firm. "All units, be advised, we have a new enemy Knightmare on the field. Sir Kim Nickels, piloting the blue Knightmare, Neptune. Let's take him down, but watch your backs."
On the battlefield, Kim was having the time of his life, his Neptune Knightmare slicing through the EU forces with ease. He impaled a Panzer with his trident, the machine exploding in a shower of sparks.
Just as he was about to deliver the finishing blow to another Knightmare, a new challenger appeared on the scene.
"You must be Sir Kim Nickels," Akito said, his voice firm.
Kim grinned, his blue eyes sparkling with amusement. "And you must be the famous Ghost of Hannibal, Akito Hyuga."
Without another word, Akito charged at Kim, his Alexander's twin blades flashing in the sunlight. Kim dodged effortlessly, creating some distance between them before firing his Neptune's machine gun.
Akito dodged the hail of bullets with ease, his Alexander transforming into its spider mode. The machine fired a barrage of missiles at Kim, but the Neptune took the hits, its armor dented but unbroken.
Kim retaliated with a powerful kick, sending Akito's Alexander flying into the ground. The machine struggled to get back to its feet, but Kim was relentless.
"Your skills are impressive, Akito," Kim said, his voice dripping with admiration. "But you're no match for me."
As the two Knightmares clashed, Leila watched from the command center, her eyes narrowed in concern. Akito was holding his own against Kim, but she knew he couldn't keep this up for much longer.
"Ayano, where are you?" she called out over the comms device.
"I'm almost there, Leila," Ayano replied, her voice strained. "But I'm running into heavy resistance."
Flashback
Kim nodded, his expression serious. "Yes, ma'am?"
"Ashley Ashra has been sent to eliminate Julius Kingsley, but if there's even a hint that Julius has used his Geass on him, you are to eliminate Ashley immediately," Jean instructed.
Kim's eyes narrowed. "Understood. And what about Julius?"
Jean's expression turned cold. "If necessary, subdue him with your Geass."
Kim nodded, his jaw set. "I understand."
With that, he turned and walked towards his Knightmare, the Neptune. The machine was a blue-shaded behemoth, resembling the Lancelot in design. A machine gun was attached to its right arm, while its left hand grasped a golden trident.
As Kim entered the cockpit, he spoke aloud, "Of course, J.J., your wish is my command."
"There's one more thing i need to remind you of" jean said "Lord shaing used his Geass on Akito years ago, it failed to kill him but somehow makes him aggressive during battle, so be careful"
"Don't worry, I'll watch my back" replied Kim.
On the other side of the battlefield, Ashley's Knightmare charged forward with reckless speed. Ryo, piloting his Alexander, tried to intercept him, but Ashley was too powerful. With a swift strike, he defeated Ryo, sending the Alexander crashing to the ground.
Ryo quickly sent a message to Leila, his voice dripping with fear. "A Knight of Michael is heading your way, Leila."
Leila's eyes widened in surprise as she received the message. Lelouch, standing beside her, looked equally confused.
"A knight of Michael heading our way?" Leila muttered, her mind racing. "But why?"
She quickly composed herself, her training kicking in. "Wyvern Squad, this is Leila. We have an enemy Knightmare heading our way. Prepare to defend our position."
She turned to the soldiers nearby, her voice firm. "We need to defend this building. Get into position, now!"
The soldiers scrambled to obey, taking cover behind nearby barriers. Leila watched them, her eyes narrowed. Wondering about this mystery attacker, but she had faith in her team.
"Ayano, we have a problem," Leila called out over the comms device. "Ashley's heading our way. Can you assist?"
Ayano's response was immediate. "I'm on my way, Leila. But I'm running into heavy resistance. I'll be there as soon as I can."
Leila nodded, her mind racing with strategy. They needed to hold off the knight until Ayano arrived. She turned to Lelouch, her eyes locked on his.
"Lelouch, can you-"
But before she could finish, Lelouch had already started another panic attack.
Ayano's eyes locked onto the Knights of Michael. She knew she couldn't take them on alone, not now. She needed backup.
She quickly called out to her teammates over the intercoms. "Akito, Ryo, Yukiya, this is Ayano. I need your help. Leila's in trouble, and I'm being held up by some Knights of Michael."
Akito's response was immediate. "I'm on my way, Ayano. I'll take care of Kim Nickels."
Ryo's voice was laced with concern. "Ayano, be careful. We'll be there as soon as we can."
Yukiya's voice was calm, as always. "I'll be making my way towards you ayano"
Ayano nodded, even though they couldn't see her. "Thanks, guys. I owe you one."
Back on akito's side, the battle was about to get intense.Akito's eyes widened in despair as he fought Sir Kim Nickels. He knew he couldn't hold out for much longer. Leila was running out of time, and the other Wyvern Squad members were being cornered.
Sir Kim's words cut deep, his mocking tone piercing Akito's soul. "If you had surrendered Zero at the start, this wouldn't have happened. But now, your friends will just... DIE."
The word "DIE" echoed in Akito's mind, triggering the Geass effect. His eyes turned red, and he felt an intense rage coursing through his veins.
With a fierce cry, Akito charged at Sir Kim, his Alexander Knightmare's blade piercing through the enemy frame. "DIE!" he shouted, his voice hoarse with anger.
Sir Kim defended himself with the Neptune's trident, a sly smile spreading across his face. "That's what I want to see in you, Akito. That's the true power of the Geass."
Akito's attack was relentless, his blades striking again and again. Sir Kim parried each blow with ease, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
"You're strong, Akito," Sir Kim said, his voice dripping with admiration. "But you're no match for me. I'll show you the true meaning of power."
The battle raged on, Akito's Geass-fueled rage driving him forward. But Sir Kim was a formidable opponent, and Akito knew he couldn't keep this up for much longer. He needed a new plan, and fast.
The Alexander jumped at him with his blades. Sir Kim Nickels, however, was not easily defeated. With a swift motion, he tried to impale the Alexander with his Neptune's trident.
But Akito was ready. With a burst of speed, the Alexander transformed into its spider mode, circling Kim and firing at him from all angles. Kim leapt back, avoiding the hail of bullets, and countered with his trident. He ripped off the Alexander's rifle and kicked the Knightmare, sending it flying back.
As the Alexander struggled to get back to its feet, Kim wiped the blood from his face and commended Akito on his skill. "You're a formidable opponent, Akito. But I have to go."
He turned to leave, but Akito's Alexander was not finished yet. With a burst of speed, it transformed back into its humanoid form and tackled Kim to the ground. Kim used his Knightmare's slash harkens to quickly get back to his feet.
The Alexander charged again. Kim raised his trident to defend himself, and with a swift motion, ripped off the Alexander's right hand. Akito's eyes widened as his Knightmare stumbled back.
But he refused to give up. With a fierce cry, he charged at Kim again, his Alexander's remaining hand wielding a knife. Kim sneered, his trident at the ready.
Kim's Neptune Knightmare pushed the Alexander to the ground, its trident aimed at the cockpit. But Akito's Geass effect refused to let him surrender. With a fierce cry, the Alexander turned over, its remaining arm flailing wildly.
Kim's eyes narrowed in annoyance. "I don't have all day to play with you, Akito," he said, his voice dripping with frustration. "You're just prolonging your own suffering."
With a swift motion, he activated his Landspinners, the Neptune's wheels glowing with energy. He began to head towards the command center, leaving Akito and his Alexander behind.
But Akito refused to give up. Despite his injuries, he continued to shout "Die!" over and over, his Geass effect driving him forward.
The Alexander stumbled after Kim's Neptune, its remaining arm dragging on the ground. Kim sighed in exasperation, his eyes rolling in frustration.
"Akito, stop this," he said, his voice firm. "You're only hurting yourself. Surrender now and spare your life."
But Akito's Geass effect wouldn't let him listen. With a final burst of energy, the Alexander charged at Kim's Neptune, its remaining arm flailing wildly.
Kim's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly regained his composure. With a swift motion, he activated his Neptune's slash harkens, striking the Alexander.
The Alexander still stood up and aggressively lunge at the Neptune. The Neptune instinctively uses it's trident to knock the Alexander away.
Leila's voice was laced with desperation as she called out to the Wyvern Squad, but only silence responded. She gripped the mic tightly, her eyes welling up with tears. "Akito, Ayano, Ryo, please, someone, help us!"
Suddenly, voice rang on the intercoms shouting, "A Knightmare has invaded the premises!" But before Leila could respond, the soldier's voice was cut short, replaced by an eerie silence.
Leila's heart raced as she turned to Lelouch, who was now standing beside her, his eye patch gone, a gun in his hand. "We can't stay here any longer," he said, his voice firm but laced with a hint of desperation. "We need to leave, now."
Leila's eyes widened in shock as Lelouch grabbed her arm, pulling her towards the door. "But what about your memories?" she started to ask, but Lelouch hushed her, his grip tightening.
"No time for that now, Leila," he said, his eyes scanning the room nervously. "We need to get out of here, before it's too late."
Leila's mind raced as she stumbled alongside Lelouch, her heart pounding in her chest. What was happening? was Lelouch back to his senses? And where were they going?
Lelouch pulled her through the door, into the midst of the chaos.
"We need to find our knightmares" Leila said with a shaking voice"
"They should be right down there" Lelouch said while pointing to the east direction. "The plan is simple we get the Alexanders and begin to leave the fortress"
Leila stopped and said "What about akito and the rest" Lelouch grabbed her hand saying "We have no time Leila, please think , any moment now, the Euro Britannians will barge in and kill everyone, We are literally stuck,. Plus i can't die without seeing Nunna.." he stopped and said
"Who ...the... hell is this girl. Why do I feel like I know her?"
On the battlefield, Akito's Alexander charged at Kim's Neptune . But Kim was prepared. With a swift motion, he stabbed his trident into the ground and activated his Geass. The left eye glowed red as the Geass spread out, enveloping Akito's Alexander.
Akito's eyes widened as memories flooded his mind. He remembered his brother Shin's words, "Akito, die now!" and saw a vision of his friends dying at Shin's hands. The memories were overwhelming, and Akito's Alexander stumbled, falling to the ground.
Kim smirked, satisfied with the result. He deactivated his Geass and turned his Neptune towards the command center. With a burst of speed, he raced towards the location, eliminating any Panzer that stood in his way.
As Leila was helping Lelouch stand up, Ashley's Knightmare burst into the room, eliminating any hope of escape. Ashley exited his Knightmare, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on the duo. He pointed his gun at them, and Lelouch tried to fire back, but unfortunately, his gun was empty.
Leila signaled to Lelouch to use his Geass, but instead, he began to shake in fear and hid behind her. "How old are you?" Leila asked, trying to snap him out of it. "Eight," Lelouch replied, his voice trembling.
Leila sighed, realizing that his amnesia had flared up again. She begged Ashley not to kill Lelouch, pleading with him to spare his life. "Please, don't do this," she said, her voice filled with desperation. "Lelouch is not a threat to you or the Empire. He doesn't even remember being Zero"
But Ashley was unmoved, his expression cold and detached. "It's orders from above," he said, his gun still trained on Lelouch. "He's a traitor and a terrorist, and he must be eliminated."
Leila's eyes widened in desperation as she tried to reason with Ashley. "Why would a Britannian betray his own country?" he spat, his finger tightening on the trigger. "He's a Threat to the Empire, and he deserves to die."
He pulled out a revolver from his pockets and said "let's play some roulette"
Leila's cries fell on deaf ears as Ashley prepared to deliver the shot. As the bullet failed to fire, he chuckled saying that "You must be some lucky lady" His face changed when he faced the confused Lelouch, bringing out a pistol saying "But luck has ran out for you Julius"
He grabs Leila by the arm and pushes her to the side. "Now die" He said
Leila stretching her hand to Ashley shouted " Please No!!!". Suddenly, her left eye began to flash blue with a phoenix like sigil on it-
Ayano, Ryo, and Yukiya finally reached the wreckage of Akito's Alexander, their hearts racing with concern. Ayano rushed to Akito's side, shaking him gently. "Get up, Akito, let's go!" she urged, her voice laced with worry.
Akito's eyes fluttered open, his gaze unfocused. "Where's Kim?" he mumbled, his voice weak.
"He defeated you and left," Ayano explained quickly, her eyes scanning the surrounding area for any signs of danger. "But we have to get out of here, now! We can't stay in one place for too long."
Akito's eyes cleared, and he sat up, his face set in determination. "We have to save Leila," he said, his voice firm, his mind racing with thoughts of his friend.
But as he stood up, his eyes widened in horror. The command center, where Leila and Lelouch were last seen, was engulfed in flames, exploding in a massive fireball. Akito's knees buckled, and he fell to the ground, his face contorted in anguish.
"No!" he screamed, his voice echoing across the battlefield. "Leila!"
Ayano's eyes welled up with tears as she gazed at the burning building. "Lelouch and Leila were in there," she whispered, her voice trembling.
Ryo and Yukiya stood in stunned silence, their faces pale with shock. They had failed to save their friends, and now they were gone.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the battlefield, Kim gazed at the burning command center, a cold smile spreading across his face. "Lady J.J, the deed is done," he reported, his voice devoid of emotion. "All three of them have been eliminated. It ends here."
So guys, that was the conclusion to today's chapter, i Know it wasn't perfect but at least I tried. And yes , Ashley is joining the crew.
To be honest, I'm still confused on how I'll continue after this arc, i already know how the battle's gonna end but it'll go either two ways
a. The emerge victorious and will lead to a General Smilas arc where Lelouch might expose him, or
b. They escape, General Smilas declares them them dead and makes Leila a martyr, which will lead to a military takeover like in the last movie of ATE. But lelouch, Ashley, Leila and the rest will be forming a rebel group against the new government.
Lemme not forget, Leila's Geass will be revealed next time.
