In the vast majority of the multiverse, it looked like a gigantic web that was always connecting to other strands. When these strands continue to interconnect, they begin to form into different worlds and realities.
A mysterious voice called out, as one world showed off Peggy Carter ending up in the current time. She then fell in love with Richard Parker, leading to the two getting married. "Time."
Elsa Oldenberg was currently in deep space, fighting off Chitauri with the help of Peter Parker. By their side were also Rocket Raccoon and Groot the living tree. "Space."
"Reality." Then a world where the Fantastic Four, led by Spider-Man, fought to protect their world from Reed Richards and Maximus Boltagon.
Then there was a simpler reality where Peter Barton and Yolanda Montez fell in love. "It's more than a linear path."
"It's a prism of endless possibility." Then an even darker world where Peter Parker was raised by HYDRA and conquered the world. He sat on a giant throne, surrounded by slaves of the conquered world, as well as the six infinity stones around his chest.
Another where Natasha Romanoff doesn't remember who she is and needs to figure out who stole her son. "Where a single choice can branch out into infinite realities."
Speeding past infinite different bundles and webbing showing off the thousands of different realities. They were created by either small unnoticeable choices or gigantic moments that were altered.
"Creating alternate worlds from the ones you already know."
Then we are met with a giant figure who stares at the vast realities, looking down at the extended universe of the What If Universe. "I am the Watcher. I am your guide throughout all of these vast new realities. Follow me, and we'll journey into the unknown and ponder the question..."
"What if...?"
EARTH PRIME:
Supergirl and Iron Spider were flying side by side with one another, back in the old days when it was just the two of them.
"Kara Zor-El, and Peter Parker. Two people from vastly different worlds, yet very similar lives."
Skipping ahead, the two of them grew closer and started to fall in love.
"The two then fell in love, had children, and faced many trials together."
A photo on a mantle showed off the two on their wedding day, and a few other memorable moments of their lives. There were a few other photos surrounding them with one being with Anjelica when she was born, but there was also another when the twins came into their lives. Then the photo of Peter and Kara started to fade, leaving Peter but deleting Kara. But shortly after, the photo started to morph. Turning into a completely different image.
"But in another universe...something very different occurred."
Now in place of that photo, was one of a cheerful girl with short-cut raven black hair who was currently pulling Peter in for a selfie. The two of them were wearing their alternative suits while someone was working on a helmet in the shape of an ant in the background.
"What if Fort Rozz never fell from the stars? What would have happened?"
BRANCH-60:
A fifteen-year-old Peter Parker is swinging away from a crime he just stopped and ended up taking a bullet for a pedestrian. It just went through him and didn't hit anything vital so that was a plus.
The pain, on the other hand, that's a different story. He drops down into an alleyway and pulls off his mask as he gasps and tries to fight through the pain.
His suit isn't exactly doing anything to help him stay alive out there. It's just a blue jacket with some pants and boots he found in his closet with a spider painted on it.
As he's fighting through the pain, his senses warn him someone is approaching the alley and he tries placing his mask back on.
"Don't bother, I come in peace." A muscular voice calls out and Peter looks to see a tall, muscular black man approach him. "And I know everything about you, Peter Parker."
Peter tried respond, as his side is in exclusive pain. He groaned and winced in pain. "What do you want?"
"Look, I'm not here to hurt you, I'm not gonna out you out as Spider-Man. But it looks to me as if you could use some help." The man explains and Peter just nods his head, wanting to be free of the pain.
The man then helps Peter up, unknowingly he places his hand on Peter's head and knocks him out to help fight the pain.
Peter later wakes up to see he's not in the alley anymore. In fact, he's not even in the city as he sees he's in an infirmary and turns to see the man from the ally next to him.
"You passed out when I was bringing you here." He explains and walks over to Peter. "My name is Hank Henshaw, I'm the director of the DEO. And I want to help you."
"How do you plan on doing that?" Peter asks him.
"Before I tell you that, I need you to answer a question for me. Why are you doing this?" Hank asks Peter.
Peter thinks about what he's going to say and does his best to explain. "Because I've been me my whole life, and I've had these powers for about half of it. I...I lost my uncle, and I... something inside me clicked, snapped. When you can do the things that I can, and I see that the city needs help. I feel like it's my responsibility to help them. I want to help people any way I can." He explains to Hank.
Hank then smiles at how innocent the mission is and that all he needs is the right guidance. "Well then, welcome to the DEO, Spider-Man. Let's show you to your new suit." Hank says and walks out of the room waiting for Peter to follow.
"Wait, did you say new suit?" Peter asks as he stands up and begins to follow him out of excitement.
Hank led Peter to meet their tech advisor who seemed to be a young woman, just seemed to be just Peter's age.
"Van Dyne, here he is, all ready for what you have for him," Hank said as he and Peter walked over to this Van Dyne who was working on some tech before looking up to face her visitors.
"Oh, hey, so this is the spectacular Spider-Man?" Van Dyne asked as she walked over to the two. "Gotta say, you look buffer on tv."
"Why does everyone always say that?" Peter asked.
"Probably because of how you look in that Capcom game." Van Dyne supposed before holding out his hand. "I'm Janet Van Dyne."
"Peter Parker." Peter greeted her as he shook her hand.
"Mr. Parker is going to be a consultant here, and he's ready to see the suit you have made for him," Hank tells Janet.
"Oh, right, yes. Come with me." Janet said as she pulled Peter over to a case before picking up a tablet that opened the wall case.
Once it opened, it revealed an all-new Spider-Man suit that he could see the mask was an inspiration to the one he was wearing earlier, except the outline was all black and the lenses themselves were golden, and the web shooters on the arms were also golden.
The suit itself had a gigantic black metal spider that went all the way down to his hips and a black outline around his stomach where there were patches where his web canisters go. Under his arms and the back of his feet were all blue, the boots themselves being the same color, and the rest of it being a light red with a black webbing pattern.
"It's just a prototype, but I think you get the idea," Janet tells him.
"I like it," Peter said, looking amazed at the suit. He then looked over and saw an all-black outfit with yellow outlines. "What's that one?"
"Oh, that's a side project I've been working on for a while. Just in case." Janet said as she jumped over and caressed the suit. "I call it the Wasp. Imagine...a suit that can help change the distance in-between atoms, but also increase the density and strength of the wearer? Imagine a soldier the size of an insect. Capable of doing the impossible. Sneaking behind enemy lines, fighting off enemies that can't even see who they're fighting?"
"That sounds incredible," Peter commented.
"Thanks. Only it's theoretical right now." Janet said as she looked over her belt where the regulator was. "I still need to stop this regulator from overheating every time I grow and shrink."
"It's a problem we are working on correcting." Hank Pym, another scientist, says as he approached them. He raised his hand for Peter to shake, keeping his eyes focused on his results. "Hank Pym."
"Peter Parker." Peter greeted as he shook his hand.
"Instead of Gwen Stacy, Hank Pym, and Janet Van Dyne took her place." The Watcher said as he eyed the three genius teens becoming acquainted from the shadows. "Instead of two heroes, it starts with three. Ant-Man. Wasp. And Spider-Man. This world is altered to the point you could argue Supergirl isn't around. The Iron Spider as you knew would never come. This alteration of him is completely human, with no Kryptonian ties. You could argue Krypton never existed or never died. As for me, these are my stories. I observe all that transpires here, but I do not interfere, cannot stop fate, can't do anything but observe. For I am..."
"The Watcher."
