(Aguency, Éure,Haute-Normandy)

(12:00)

Brigadier General Dupont reviewed the latest reports on their recent engagement. The Beta would arrive a bit later, and expectations were that their ranks would be reduced to just ten percent by then. With only ten thousand Beta left, mostly tanks and grapplers, and at worst, destroyers, Dupont was confident they could handle the threat without requiring much firepower.

"Brigadier General Dupont!" Communications Officer Legér called out from his seat, prompting Dupont to draw closer.

The young officer's voice was filled with confusion, "Sir, forward seismic sensors are detecting an increasing amount of seismic activity." He pointed to the seismometer on the monitor.

Dupont's face slowly filled with realization. From his experience, he knew exactly what this meant. Turning sharply, he barked an order to another communications officer, Luis, "Alert the base! Prepare for immediate engagement!"

The growing sense of urgency and fear spread through the room. They all knew their ammunition stocks were limited, according to UNSC ground base support. The looming threat was closer than they had anticipated, and the stakes had just gotten much higher.

"Luis! Get all units on high alert! Contact Aquila Squadron! And keep monitoring that seismometer!" Brigadier General Dupont barked orders, eyes locked on the ever-growing seismic activity on the display. His staff moved with immediate urgency, their faces betraying varying levels of anxiety—some uncertain of what was to come, while the more seasoned veterans knew too well what such seismic swells often heralded.

"Legard, get us more reinforcements. I want TSFs fast!" Dupont continued, his voice cutting through the controlled chaos. He glanced at the seismograph again, dread tightening his gut. The Fleet Admiral's warnings echoed in his mind, detailing the Beta's deadly capabilities: the devastating ambushes capabilities shown by the carrier on ill-prepared UNSC rearguards, the tunneling assaults like those in Kamchatka, and the brutal lunar skirmishes. His biggest question was how many Beta were about to emerge.

Suddenly, a communications officer's voice broke through the clamor, "Brigadier General, we're receiving new reports from the UNSC Zouriel of a third Beta Horde from Lyon!"

Dupont spun around, eyes narrowing. "How many?" he demanded.

"Sir, same as the previous hordes, but with more Lux Strain!" the officer replied, his voice tinged with shock.

Alarm bells rang in Dupont's mind. This was undoubtedly linked to their primary objectives. He gritted his teeth. No orbital support, and their focus was stretched thin. Another shout came from across the room.

"Brigadier General, we have reinforcements from the mainland—the British 7th Tactical Armored Battalion and the German 371st Taktisches Panzerbataillon! We also have open access to Aquila Squadron!"

"Show it to me!" Dupont ordered.

The monitor switched to a feed from the Aquila Squadron Mission Commander, their helmeted figure standing out against the familiar yet foreign backdrop of their craft. The Commander's voice came through, clear and steady.

"This is Aquila Mission Commander, reporting to Brigadier General Dupont."

Dupont wasted no time. "Mission Commander, how long will you be loitering?"

The Mission Commander paused briefly before replying, "As long as the Beta haven't shown themselves!"

Dupont allowed himself a grim smile. "Good. Keep in contact with Major Vastein. Over and out, Commander."

"Aquila Mission Commander, signing out, sir."

Dupont nodded, then turned to another communications officer. "How about the UNSC 212nd Armored Regiment?"

"The 2nd Armored Battalion is fully deployed here, supporting efforts to destroy the second horde with overwhelming firepower," the officer responded quickly. "However, the 1st Combined Arms Battalion is currently unloading at Fort Manche, with A Company heading here."

Dupont nodded thoughtfully, his mind racing. "Communications Officer Legér, what's the heading of the seismic activity?"

Legér straightened and answered promptly, "Brigadier General, the seismometer indicates a constant heading, possibly around Éure."

Dupont looked at the display, the spikes in seismic activity like grim omens. He knew they had to be ready for whatever emerged from the depths.

The Vice Admiral nodded and then called out, "Communications Officer Luis, what's the status of all units' readiness?"

Luis, busily tapping away at his computer, took a moment before responding, "Sir! The US 12th Tactical Marine Armored Group is currently on high alert for any potential Beta pop-ups. They're moving towards Aguency. We've also alerted the French 57th Tactical Armored Group; they're currently in Pintervill, though elements such as their First Squadron are within Le Rion."

"Good," the Vice Admiral acknowledged.

Suddenly, Communications Officer Legér interjected with a note of alarm, "Sir, the seismic activity is starting to go wild!"

The seismic activity began as a low rumble and quickly intensified, shaking the ground violently. "Can we get fire support from Vice Admiral Abbot or Commander Gears? Heck, even ground support!" Dupont shouted over the din.

As officers hurried around, the situation had reached a fever pitch. "Communications are being sent all around, sir. We have fire support from ground units and the UNSC Tango Support Company, as well as the West German 131st Artillery Battalion—"

Everyone froze, staring at the monitor in shock and fear. "Sir, they're in Eure... more specifically, near Le Rion."

A brief pause ensued before the brigadier general shouted at the top of his lungs, "Scramble all units there right now! That's five kilometers from here!" His heart sank, feeling as if he had been doused with cold water. They had quite literally bypassed the Evreux defense line.

"UNSC Zuoriel and Aquila Squadron are on it. They're preparing an immediate response—"

A communications officer shouted in alarm, "The unknown Beta class is spewing a division-sized Beta force along with five unknown Betas."

Another communications officer announced with horror, "Sir! The unknown Beta class is reported to be hitting the Zuoriel! Nearly 1,000 kilometers high, they're being forced back to LEO!"

He looked over the battlefield display, feeling as if he had bitten into a particularly sour lemon as he watched units display with Aquila Squadron just disappearing and part of the French 57th Tactical Armored Group blinking away.

He tightened his fist, feeling a cold sensation throughout his body as he asked, "What happened to Aquila and Embleure? Get me direct contact with Major Vastein and Commander Gears." He wondered just what was going on down there. The only footage they had was from the Zuoriel, and even that was just a brief glance.

"Sir, it's dead silent. We can't contact the major, Brigadier General!"

"What do you mean you can't?" Dupont asked, still confused.

"Sir, it's dead silent!"

He sighed uncertainly. "And Commander Gears?"

"Brigadier General, Commander Gears reports that the Zuoriel sustained damage to their portside point defense gun. However, they have successfully pulled out of range. They will still be trying to provide support, but it won't be as effective as before."

Dupont stared at the monitor, the image from the Zuoriel showing more Betas spewing out of the now identified carrier class. Looking at the tactical battle monitor, he realized something: most, if not all, their reinforcements were cut off from reaching them as the Betas' appearance within Le Rion blocked the route from Dieppe.

Tactical displays flickered with updates from various units, and the reports from Major Virstein's unit were dying out. Meanwhile, the American 12th Tactical Marine Armor Group attempted a flanking maneuver through Incarville but were repulsed. The West German 93rd Taktisches Panzer Battalion tried a similar move towards Mare Puchard, aiming to eliminate the Laser Fort Class units.

The massive screen showed EF-2000 Typhoons initiating a laserjag in hopes of destroying the Fort Class lasers. They faced an immediate and devastating response; Faurien Squadron suffered heavy losses, with most of their vanguard killed. Following direct orders from Major Keller, the remaining squadrons of the 93rd fell back.

The French 57th Tactical Armored Battalion reconnected, revealing a clearer view of the ongoing chaos. First Lieutenant Favreau reported the near-total destruction of the Embleruer Squadrons and severe losses in Vance Squadron, as well as her own unit's significant casualties.

Simultaneously, the British 7th Tactical Armored Battalion moved south of Pont-de-l'Arche to reinforce the American 12th Tactical Marine Armor Group. The West German 371st Taktisches Panzer Battalion followed suit, bolstering the depleted and exhausted 93rd.

The French 57th received minimal reinforcements, primarily from Alpha Company of the UNSC 2nd Armored Battalion.

"Sir, we're receiving communications from the Zuoriel and Vice Admiral Abbot," an officer reported urgently.

The monitor swiftly changed, showing the strained faces of the two men. The emergence of a new class of Beta necessitated the UNSC to shut down the Karshgar hive after this chaotic situation.

Commander Gears spoke with a bitterness that was palpable, "That unknown class of Beta just intercepted two high-speed Archer missile pods, combined with almost all of my retrofitted SOEIVs, failing to put a dent in that fucking bug."

His words echoed with frustration as officers hurriedly moved with haste. "Sir, the 1st British Tactical Group is engaging Beta just a kilometer from here!" another officer reported.

Abbot asked in utter surprise, while Dupont was realizing something, "Can't you utilize your MAC at full power?"

Commander Gears paused, scrutinizing Dupont, "We can, but it will take time." He glanced towards another monitor, showing British and French forces engaged against the Beta. Losses started coming in as the Beta moved closer.

Back at Evreux, UNSC fire support from the M808B3 Tarantula fired their hypersonic missiles, and yet, somehow, the Beta intercepted them.

The ones disembarking from Fort Manche had it the worst. Their Pelicans were hit with devastating beams from the now-designated Fort Class lasers, proving far more dangerous as they wiped out Aquila Squadron.

Dupont slammed his hand on his desk as he watched the TSF squadron desperately try to fend off the ever-increasing Beta. "Commander Gears, how long do you need?" Vice Admiral Abbot broke the tense silence.

"Three minutes, and I promise you we'll kill both of those bastards," Gears answered honestly.

Dupont nodded, hearing another report from his subordinates. "The UNSC 1st Combined Arms Battalion from the 212th Armored Regiment is providing us with fire support from their Support Company back in England!"

"Brigadier General! Évreux is being engaged by remnants of the Second Beta Horde. They're requesting TST support!"

"Sir, we're receiving reports from elements of the American 12th Tactical Marine Armored Group that they're starting to run out of ammo."

"Brigadier General! A brigade-sized Beta Horde has been detected leaving the carrier!"

The shouts of an ever-worsening situation filled the room. The Vice Admiral added his own report, "We're taking heavy laser fire from the Fort-Class Laser, and it's starting to do a number on its target battleships!"

Dupont watched as Commander Gears reported in with haste, "Gentlemen, once we fire, we throw everything we have at that son of a bitch! Our MACs are going to fire in full force, and I will redirect its attention to me!"

Dupont nodded. "What artillery support can we provide?" he asked one of his lieutenants.

"Sir, the West German 131st Artillery Battalion is currently bombarding the second horde from Lyon, but we can redirect fire," the lieutenant replied swiftly.

Dupont turned to Vice Admiral Abbott. "How about you, Vice Admiral?"

The Vice Admiral's image flickered before stabilizing, showing him crouched in front of a monitor. "We're currently under heavy Fort-Class laser bombardment and starting to take losses. The USS Maine's aft guns have been disabled."

As Abbott's image continued to flicker, Commander Gears issued a decisive order to his subordinates, "Commence the attack. We need those two Fort-Class lasers down."

Dupont knew all too well the danger of the ever-closing Beta on their position. He watched as the central formation, mainly consisting of the French 57th Tactical Armored Group, was pushed back to Pintervill. Their eastern flank, held by the West German 93rd Tactical Panzerbataillon and 371st Tactical Panzerbataillon, had fallen back to Rue de Boisguilbert.

The western flank, under the American 12th Tactical Marine Armored Group, British 7th Tactical Armored Battalion, and elements of the UNSC 1st Combined Arms Battalion, was struggling after many of its Pelicans were destroyed by the Fort-Class lasers. This left the armored force able to disembark only two companies, with their support elements stuck in Britain.

The American forces were running low on ammunition, while the 57th had taken severe losses. Out of three squadrons, only the Pier Squadron remained somewhat functional, though they had suffered 50% losses, leaving just six TSFs combat-capable. The Embleruer Squadron was nearly annihilated, with only one surface pilot recovered by UNSC Alpha Company. The Vanve Squadron fared no better, suffering appalling losses from a Fort-Class attack and overwhelming numbers of Tank-Class Beta. They were fighting the bulk of the Beta force, which now threatened to crush them.

Elements from the 2nd Armored Battalion were dispatched to support the 57th. Dupont watched the monitor in awe as Zuoriel fired its MAC gun at full power. The Beta tried to intercept it, but the tungsten slug continued its relentless descent, unstoppable despite the combined firepower of five Fort-Class lasers. Gravity pulled it down, and the strings of superheated energy failed to halt its progress.

Artillery fire from the 131st rained down, but Zuoriel became the Beta's main target.

"You rigged it with explosives, right, Lieutenant?" Commander Gears' voice echoed as he asked one of his subordinates, receiving an immediate affirmative.

The slug slammed into one of the Fort-Class lasers, and the impact was felt all around. The eerie silence from Vice Admiral Abbott, or more precisely, the blank footage, unsettled Dupont.

"Three more to go. Drop those SEOVs out of this girl!" Commander Gears shouted, as the units continued their fierce battle.

A TSF from the American 12th Tactical Marine Armor Group captured footage of Zuoriel descending from the heavens amidst relentless laser fire. The ship took visible damage, and the footage distorted before disappearing completely. Hundreds of missiles were released from Zuoriel, heading towards the Carrier and Fort-Class lasers with lethal precision. The ship limped away, damaged but not defeated, as powerful explosions eradicated the remaining Fort-Class lasers and the Carrier.

A quiet stillness settled in the command room. Zuoriel, high above, struggled with bits and pieces falling off. Dupont wanted to know their status but forced himself to focus.

Brigadier General Dupont looked at the monitor, showing the Beta forces engaged. Twenty thousand strong, most concentrated at Pintervill. Contact with either Commander or Vice Admiral had yet to resume, filling him with uncertainty. The Beta were just a kilometer away, a fact that made him shudder.

(Drabble)

"It seems that your unexpected action had quite the avalache." the Blue hue of an middle age young man wearing dress one might assoiciate with the japanese Imperial navy.

A scoff within the space could be heard, "Nonesense Buresusekusu, It was a simple experiment that simply didn't have what my masters desired result."

"True enough, however were its results truly ideal." Buresusekusu asked a tone questionantive.

"Yes, it was it proved something we were uncertain, Deluxe mind joining us here?." The Knight in shining answer spoke.

Another appearance within this realm, she wore a butlers attire considered rather odd by the other two,"I Shall indeed explain as to why Sir Arthur, However I belive Fleet Admiral Shinano Nanami already knew about."

"I Belive this calls for a Radical Escalations on are approach against the beta on earth." Sir Arthur spoke his voice impurtuos with assurance.

A counter voice was swift to answer it came from Buresusekusu with mild irratiation,"Its easy for you to say such without considering its major consequences."

Deluxe was quick to speak siding with Sir Arthur with her own facts,"And yet Sir Arthurs words are true, Is it not a Radical Escalation is needed less this foe grows evermore powerfull. Beta encoutered in the lunar surface had little to no defense against us, the Number of Lux was lower than that of earth."

A quite silence entered the plain, Before Burusekusu spoke in a more subdued voice,"Fleet Admiral Shinano Nanami has already Considered that, we have worked out a Plan that would both be Cost effective yet minimize are own losses, that said this does hinge on them already knowing Alternantive Four."

Another pause, as They Processed it rapidly, Sir Arthur spoke again in his ever noble word,"I belive any further beta operations within the western hemishpere after this will be on pause, however we can expect a flurry of Beta Activity within the east."

Deluxe spoke her voice monotone,"A Plan of action has been submitted to the UN, it is in are great interest to not antagnize any single faction but to stay as a voice of reasoning."

Burusekusu spoke judging this their masters final verdic,"With the accordance to what we have spoken I have brought such to Fleet Admiral Shinano Nanami Ultimately her disicion is the final say."

A quite silence now returned one that would remain.

United Nation Space Command

Specialize folder only to the Fleet Admiral over our recent engagements against the beta over earth and moon.

Lunar Moon Campaign

Our fight against the Beta within the lunar service can be considered to be a far different affair than one in earth.

It can be considered the our opening failures our exceptions due to lack of proper information following Engagements against theBeta were far from that of our own.

After initial engagements any signs of Lux Class Strains were cleared, after securing are clearance of Beta Hives were far easier.

Earth Campaign

Our initially approach is starting to fail, initial contact with the UN, following after the end of the Yokohama Conference, our firsts through against the Beta Prove our idealism.

The Beta our far from ants that we can easly walk by so this is upon this Vice Admirals requests that we begin an immediate escalation in boosting our presence.

Exceptions

Beta Fort Class Laser

Originally sighted at France, Haute-Normandy, Le Rion. This Beta Class is of the extreme priority once it is sighted by all forces.

Beta Carrier Class

Originally sighted Near Landing Point India, Extreme priority can be easily dealt with extreme fire power such us Hyper sonic missiles or a slug round.
