Before the events of Descendants the movie.

Raven of Locksley is a care free girl with a band of friends just like her Father, the famous Robin Hood. She and her band of friends, the boisterous but ever loyal to the story Jobin, son of Little John. The sweet but gullible Mink, son of Much the Miller's son, Wesley Scarlet the smooth guy, son of Will Scarlet, and the shy but musically talented Andy a'Dale, son of Alan a'Dale. The friends would help out the local shelter with fundraisers and adoption events at Nottingham castle, where her Father is the Earl.

Robin let her go to the same school in Sherwood as her friends, that was led by the good Friar Tuck. Raven would help her friends who worked the stables at the local Inn, The Red Lion, ran by Little John. Raven is also a fine archer just like her father. However, she has mastered a skill in archery even learning mounted archery. Robin just wanted his daughter to be happy for one day she will take his place. However, being the daughter of the Earl of Nottingham for some reason her Mother, Marian, believes she should go to the school that the royals go to. Because until Ben married and has a child Raven being closes in blood was the heir to the thrown.

So, Marian approached Robin about sending Raven to Auradon Prep. "Robin it is where she need to be. Where the heir and an Earl's daughter should be. She is a ruler and she will need to learn the skills that a leader will need." Robin chuckled at his wife. "My dear Marian our daughter is learning all that she needs to know from the good Friar. What more will she learn from going to a new school with none of her friends?" Marian was not going to take no for an answer, she wanted her daughter at Auradon Prep. "Robin my dear, you must understand that Friar Tuck cannot teach Raven about the court protocol, and she will need to understand that in order to take your place as Countess of Nottingham or if she must become Queen. Robin be sensible about this, do you truly want Raven to go though what you did when you became Earl?" Robin had to ponder over Marian's words.

He loved his daughter dearly and that is mostly why he had kept her close. Unlike the other royals who sent their kids off to Auradon Prep. as soon as they could. He had hoped that he could guide Raven though anything, but what if she was summoned to court and he could not go? "Marian, I can not send away my Little Bird. There has to be another way. We could get a tutor here to teach her all the things you think she needs and she can still go to school with her friends and be here with us." However, Marian was having none of it.

Robin looks out on to the archery range and sees her. His Little Bird is practicing hand to hand combat with her bow against Jobin and his sword. A smile crosses Robin's face when Raven gets in a closes shot that knocks Jobin on his ass. Marian comes to look out the window and sees Raven extend her hand out to Jobin. "Look Robin I know all you want is for her to be happy. But my Love please see reason she is heir to the thrown and to Nottingham-shire, there will be certain criteria that an heir must adhere to. The only way to learn what it is like is to be around the court and learn personal." ~Crack~ Robin dropped his eyes to the floor in thought as Marian continues. "Robin do you not remember how you and King Beast did not get along at first. You were so use to King Richard's way of ruling that you started to compare them. It was a political disaster for us till Richard talked to both of you about it." ~Crack~ "You are right my dear. But I am letting Raven decide."

Robin walked out to the range to watch Raven and Jobin still thinking about what Marian brought up in regards to Raven's political future. Raven was again laughing and extending her hand out to Jobin. "Oh come on Jobin don't be a sore loser. I'm just good with my bow in any situation. That's why I told you to wear the chest protection." Raven was giggling trying to be a good sport. Robin saw the many paint stains on Jobin's breastplate and had a giggle knowing he's been hit many times. This caused Raven to look up and sees her father. "Da hello there!" She smiled and ran over to hug him. Completely forgetting about Jobin. "Ah Hello my Little Bird. I did not mean to interrupt your practice." Robin had a laugh looking at Jobin's breastplate again.

Robin took a deep breath to clear his thoughts before looking back down at his Little Bird. "When you are done teaching Jobin how to land on his ass safely. Would you like to go on a ride through the forest?" Raven saw the sadness in Robin's eyes. She had a good idea about why he wanted to go riding. It was their time to talk with out anyone else around. Raven did love her mother but, she was just more of a daddy's girl. "Yeah Da let me put away my gear and I'll join you in the stables." Raven turns to Jobin. "Good effort today maybe next time my friend." She did not see the disappointment cross Jobin's face at the friend comment. At the stables Robin and Raven went to saddle up their horses. Robin's dark blood bay stallion who was like Robin himself getting older. Raven's horse she named Richard, was a deep golden palomino with a blaze and two hind socks. "What saddle are you going to use Da?" Raven smiled as she finished grooming out Richard. Robin could not help the smile at his Little Bird. "Oh just a light hunter set Little Bird."

Out on the trails on their horses they run and chase each other. Raven feels most free and happy when she and her Dad are riding. When Robin slows to have her at his side. She just knew he was not happy about what they need to talk about. Raven just smiles at Robin. "Da, just say it. I already know what you and Mom have been fighting over." As she chuckles at her Dad. "Well then you have made your chose then Little Bird?" Robin smiles at his strong and grown Little Bird. "Well don't tell mum but I have to agree with her I should be with my cousin so if I need to I can step in seamlessly. I don't want to but I have duties that I can't hide from." Robin reaches out to take Raven's hand. "I'm so proud of you my Little Bird."
