Chapter 11 - The Professor
Kiyotaka's POV
The second day of April. A beautiful morning with sunny sky. A slight wind brushed the branches of the trees. One could not help but to look forward to what may happen in such day.
It was on such day that I, Ayanokouji Kiyotaka, the student of Advanced Nurturing High School, had managed to make a girl faint.
It was not supposed to be like that.
I didn't want to scare her so much.
I thought that she would be hard to talk to, so I thought I would play a joke on her to take her by surprise and made a tension between us vanished.
After my last act when I said that I would curse her in horror-like voice, I was planning to say 'Booo.. Nice to meet you. I am Ayanokouji Kiyotaka, the rumored ghost of the class.'
I thought the girl would find it funny or at least childish and berate me. And then we would normally be able to talk.
That was a plan.
So what the hell had gone wrong here?
Was my acting this good? Or was my impression of this girl being cold and serious actually wrong and she was a big scaredy cat?
Kushida: "Horikita-san!"
Of course, there was no way the girl fainting would go unnoticed by the rest of class.
Umm?
Wait a second..
Horikita?
Like Student Council President Horikita Manabu?
Is she his relative?
Now that I look at her, she really do resemble him. So that's why I had a feeling that she looked familiar.
Don't tell me she is his younger sister?
I actually scared terribly the younger sister of the only man that I was supposed to impress in order to rise peacefully on the social ladder.
This plot couldn't go more wrong.
Redo! I strongly demand a redo!
...
No?
Just my luck..
For now, let's minimize the damage.
I went quickly to Horikita to check her condition.
There was actually no damage to her, she was also breathing normally.
Good, at least the probability that I will be punished was minimal.
But right now I must play the worried classmate, who don't know what happened like others.
Kiyotaka: "Someone call a teacher!"
One boy ran quickly for a teacher.
My classmates gathered around me and Horikita to see what happened.
Kiyotaka: "It's okay. I think she just fainted."
Kushida: "Ayanokouji-kun, what happened?"
Kiyotaka: "I don't know. I was trying to converse with her, but she wasn't much talkative. Then suddenly, she fainted and slid from a chair on the floor. Her face looked a little bad from the beginning. I think she wasn't feeling good. It looks like anemia. Was she like that yesterday?"
Matsushita: "I don't know. She left with some other classmates during class introductions. If not for Kushida-san, I wouldn't even know how to call her. So she is called Horikita."

Kushida stiffened slightly by hearing Matsushita's words. For a second her face looked annoyed, but looks like only I noticed it, because people's attention were still on me and Horikita.
Suddenly, the door burst open and a boy ran into the classroom with terrified expression.
It was a handsome young man of average height with blonde hair and brown eyes.
Some girl: "Hirata-kun!"
Hirata: "I just met Miyake-kun in the corridor. He told me in hurry that someone fainted in the classroom and he was going to call a teacher. What happened?"
Kiyotaka: "Horikita fainted suddenly. There was no actual damage, so I think it's just anemia. Well, we can't be sure, so we are waiting for a teacher."
Hirata: "I see. Thank you.."
Kiyotaka: "Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. I was absent yesterday. Nice to meet you and the rest of you as well." I said to present everyone while performing my standard, likeable smile.
I could see some girls blush a little, while averting their eyes.
One boy mumbled 'Damn it, another handsome guy'.
Hirata: "Nice to meet you, Ayanokouji-kun. I am Hirata Yosuke. I hope we will get along well as classmates." He said with smile equal to mine.
Hirata then turned to the rest of the class with stern look.
Hirata: "Everyone, I don't think it's appropriate to look at Horikita-san in group like that. Please go back to your seats. Let's patiently wait for teacher's arrival."
Some girl: "If Hirata-kun says so."
The crowd began to disperse.
Judging from my classmates' behavior, Hirata should be the current class leader.
Considering that he rushed, when he heard that a classmate fainted, he should be a caring person. Together with his good looks, I was pretty sure he was popular among girls.
I started to look around, trying to figure out if someone actually is suspicious of me.
Just when I thought that no one found out what really happened between me and Horikita, I noticed one student was looking at me quite intensively.
It was a boy with glasses. He was of average height with green eyes and spiky black hair.
His seat was before mine, so he had the biggest opportunity to overhear what happened.
When he noticed my look, he made a small smile and raised up his thumb. Then he also sat on his seat.
It was rather weird, but I couldn't question him right now.
The only ones who stayed with Horikita were me, Hirata and Kushida.
Both of them looked worried about the black haired girl.
Suddenly, the door to the classroom opened again and the guy who Hirata called Miyake and Sae-sensei came.
Sae-sensei came closer to us looking at Horikita, then her vision paused at me and went back to Horikita.
Sae: "Horikita? What happened?"
Kiyotaka: "She suddenly fainted while being on her seat. I suspect anemia, but we are not be sure. Apart from a slightly pale face she looks normal."
I said with straight face and stern look.
Sae-sensei nodded and processed to examine the black haired girl herself.
Sae: "It may really be anemia. Ayanokouji, take her immediately and go with me to the school infirmary. I will explain your lateness on the class to the teacher."
Kiyotaka: "Yes."
Looks like Horikita will not wake up soon. That's good.
It would be troublesome, if she woke up in the classroom and started to figure out what happened in front of our classmates.
I just need to convince her to not speak about incident after she wakes up.
I carefully picked up the black haired girl and slowly left with Sae-sensei.
While carrying Horikita, I took a good look at her.
She was really a beautiful girl.
Her body was light and soft.
Her face was pretty.
But no matter how much I looked at Horikita, she still couldn't match the goddess that was walking with me.
Sae-sensei looked so gorgeous that I could probably watch her all day.
She was wearing a serious expression, but sometimes she took a peek at me or rather at Horikita with slightly worried expression.
As I thought, she wasn't as much of cold person as she looked like.
My resolve to get closer to her became even bigger. I really wanted to see a smile on her face again. Well, a naughty look would also be a great option.
Sae: "So? What exactly happened here?" She asked interrupting my inappropriate thoughts.
Kiyotaka: "I practically told you everything, sensei. Horikita fainted suddenly. I was as surprised as everyone else. I didn't even know her name and just heard it from Kushida."
Sae: "Is that so? I just thought that maybe you were trying to mess up with another student like you did yesterday."
Kiyotaka: "Oh, so you already know. This school sure works fast. Were you already questioned, sensei?"
Sae: "The school started official investigation about Nagumo Miyabi's actions of breaking the rules of school. Student Council President Horikita told the school about yesterday events and your claims. I was informed about it one hour ago. Me and Hoshinomiya-sensei were questioned about our talk with you and Kiryuin yesterday."
Kiyotaka: "So the school is already past this stage of investigation. That's good. I thought that it will take a few days, but looks like Nagumo will be punished by the end of this day."
Sae: "You sure are bold to actually pick a fight with Vice-President Nagumo on your first day. Are you so sure it won't be you, who will be punished?"
Kiyotaka: "I just spoke the truth to President Horikita and I have Fuka as my witness. More importantly, how many people already know that me and her know about hidden rules and class competition?"
Sae: "I can't tell you anything apart what I told you just now. You may be questioned again if the school finds out something wrong. If not, the school will inform you about the results. That's all."
Kiyotaka: "I see, I see. I hope to hear good news soon."
Sae-sensei looked at my face with a frown.
Sae: "Why did you do this? Nagumo is not only Student Council Vice-President, but also a leader of all second year students. There was no merit in reporting him, since the school will not expel him over this. It would only anger him and make you his target."
Kiyotaka: "Oh my, could it be that you are actually worried about me, Sae? I'm so moved that I would give you a hug if not those security cameras and Horikita's body in my hands. Would you like to have a dinner with me after school in some more comfortable place? It's my treat."
Sae: "Be serious, Ayanokouji." She said while glaring at me.
I met her gaze head on with smug smile.
Kiyotaka: "I am actually quite serious. I can be even more bold than you think. My acting towards various things is based on my honest thoughts. I like you, so I am inviting you for dinner. I dislike Nagumo, so I reported him to the school. That's all. It's that simple."
Now Sae-sensei looked at me with surprise. She probably is thinking how much of it is true.
I smiled to her.
Kiyotaka: "Why are you trying to analyze things that I already explained to you? You will just overthink my words and make some pointless assumption. If you are that curious about my motives, agree to my invitation and learn more about me. Just like me. I am interested in you, so I want to understand you more. It's win-win situation."
Sae-sensei's face once again turned darker. I must say that she is quite expressive, when faced with unexpected actions.
Sae: "I decline your offer, Ayanokouji. Please conduct yourself as a student should. That's my honest thinking."
Kiyotaka: "I see. It's too bad. I guess I will back off for today. Back to your question, I think Nagumo would turn into my enemy sooner or later, so I attacked him first. To be honest, I did it just because of my dislike for him, but after all that happened yesterday I can see some big benefits to earn from my actions, so I don't regret it."
Sae: "Benefits?"
Kiyotaka: "That's something I may answer in our dinner time, if you are really curious."
Sae: "Do you know that I can suspend you for inappropriate behavior right now?"
Kiyotaka: "Sure, do it. I still didn't have time to convey what I know about S-System to our class, so giving me more holiday sure will be helpful for them to win class competition."
Sae-sensei went stiff. Her wariness towards me grew rapidly.
Looks like a hit a weak point.
Sae: "So you are going to tell the class and become class leader?"
Kiyotaka: "Who knows? This isn't something that you as teacher should be asking me, your student. But we can avoid this in more private talk later."
Sae: "Tch."
Sae-sensei looked annoyed by my persistence. But she couldn't hide some hope in her eyes.
So she really wants our class to win this competition. I guess a just got her weakness.
This ambition of hers sure is a way to help me to get closer to her.
But I must proceed carefully.
I don't know much about her, so I don't know, if this is only her competitive spirit or is there a deeper story about it.
I need to push her harder. My decision to not help my class from beginning may give me some answers. I hope so.
Let's observe her behavior towards me and the class closely those days.
The rest of our journey we made in silence.
We entered infirmary and was greeted by nurse.
I placed Horikita on bed and told the nurse the same thing as others.
She checked up Horikita and made the same conclusion - anemia.
Nurse: "She probably should rest for today, so please excuse her from today's classes for health reasons. I will let you know if something happens."
Sae-sensei nodded.
Both of us left infirmary.
Sae: "I am going to the staff room. You should not loiter around much. Go back straight to the class, Ayanokouji."
Kiyotaka: "Yes, of course. Have a nice day, Sae."
Her face crumpled a little, but she didn't say anything and went back. I was watching her for some time, appreciating her body.
Then I started moving back to the class.
I was thinking about potential scenarios of what will happen after Horikita wake up.
Will she tell the truth to everyone or will she keep it for herself?
Considering that she didn't want to introduce herself to the class and her behavior towards me I think she was rather a loner by choice, who disliked attention.
There's a big chance that she would keep it to herself to maintain her pride.
Of course, that didn't change a fact that I will probably be on top of her blacklist and will be treated as mortal enemy.
It's a pity, since she was a beauty, but it couldn't be helped at this point.
The main point was what will happen when her brother learns about her fainting.
He definitely will investigate it and she may tell him everything.
I probably should try to make it as joke, which truthfully was.
But if he was a siscon like Nishino Takeshi, there was a big chance that he will chase me with ax.
I hope such option will not become reality. My situation at the school would turn quite troublesome.
I was not scared at all, but it didn't change the fact that it would be additional trouble.
I was supposed to make allies here, not turning the most powerful students into my enemies.
Fuka was worth a trouble with that donkey Nagumo.
But offending Horikita Manabu over joke on his sister didn't have any merit at this point.
?: "Having some trouble to consider, Ayanokouji-dono?"
A student appeared before myself.
It was a student with glasses from my class, who gave me a thumb up earlier.
Seeing him here made it quite obvious that he wanted to meet with me in secret. He seemed nervous a little.
Kiyotaka: "Nothing much. I was just thinking about the incident and Horikita's health."
?: "I see. Well, it was really a troublesome incident. I bet everyone will talk about it. But.."
He took a deep breath in order to calm himself down, then he looked at me with some determination.
?: "But I think scaring her to the point of fainting is not considered a health problem, Ayanokouji-dono."
Kiyotaka: "As expected, you heard my conversation with Horikita. Well, I was trying to play a prank on her as rumored ghost of class. I didn't think she would be so scared my acting. I didn't want our classmates to think of me as a weirdo, so I thought of anemia. Even the nurse bought it. And I think Horikita would rather appreciate that no one knows the truth."
?: "I see. Horikita-dono didn't look like someone, who would like attention, especially from being a scaredy cat."
Kiyotaka: "So why are you here? Do you have a business with me, glasses-dono?
?: "Oh, I apologise for my late introduction. I am Sotomura Hideo, but some people call me the Professor."
Kiyotaka: "Nice to meet you, Sotomura. I'm Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. Is there something I could help you with?"
Sotomura: "I am actually not going to tell anyone about you scaring Horikita-dono. But I must say that I was impressed by your acting. Pulling something like that needs quite a boldness and imagination, even if it was only a prank. As expected of someone, who sits on protagonist seat."
Kiyotaka: "Protagonist seat? Are you some manga and anime lover?"
Sotomura: "Oh, so you understood my words? I had a little doubt about that. Yes, manga and anime is something akin a hobby of mine."
Kiyotaka: "I see. But I still don't understand how it is related to our little meeting here?"
Sotomura: "Before I answer that, I would like to ask you a question. What do you think about our class, Ayanokouji-dono?"
Hmm? For some reason I had a strange feeling of deja vu. I had a similar talk with Masumi. But the roles seemed to reverse this time.
Kiyotaka: "It's hard to say anything, since I was absent yesterday. I just got to know a few classmates and everyone seemed nice and friendly, including you."
Sotomura: "I see. Maybe I asked you a little too early."
Kiyotaka: "What do you mean by that?"
Sotomura: "I actually have a request of you, Ayanokouji-dono. Please hear me out."
Then, he bowed to me respectfully.
Sotomuta: "I would like to offer you my services, Ayanokouji-dono! Please take me in as your henchman!"
...
Kiyotaka: "Huh?"
I was stunned by Sotomura's request.
I didn't remember anything that would make him consider me as his leader.
Could it be that scaring Horikita was so much of big deal?
Kiyotaka: "I'm sorry, but I don't understand what exactly do you mean by this sudden proposal."
Sotomura: "I would like to serve you as my lord, Ayanokouji-dono. Please take me under your wing."
Kiyotaka: "Okay, I'm getting even more confused right now. Explain right now what do you mean or I am going back."
He looked a little nervous.
Sotomura: "I am someone who is not so good academically or physically. But I am really good at technical stuff and have big knowledge about electronic equipment."
Kiyotaka: "I see. That's good. Having something that you are really good at is praiseworthy. But I still don't see a connection between this and your proposal."
Sotomura: "I.. I just don't want to be considered a moron, who bought Chabashira-sensei's formulated speech."
My body stiffened a little.
That was my first question to Sae-sensei after her explanation.
Did she told him about our conversation?
No, she wouldn't do that.
But if it's not her..
Sotomura: "To be honest, my knowledge of electronic equipment is not limited to things like computers or phones. It also cover a more.. complicated stuff, like bugging devices."
I see..
Kiyotaka: "You bugged the guidance office?"
Sotomura: "I was actually planning to place it under Chabashira-sensei's desk in the staff room, but when I asked her for a talk, she took me to the guidance office. I didn't have much choice, it was still better than nothing. I was actually thinking of taking it back later, but then I heard your conversation with her. I was so surprised by the amount of information that you deduced and I got by total luck."
So that room was bugged by Sotomura. He must have done it just after classes yesterday.
I noticed security cameras with audio recording function and was paying attention to Sae-sensei, but to think someone bugged the room on the first day.
This Sotomura sure have balls to do it. This is practically the same level as Masumi's shoplifting.
Interesting.
Kiyotaka: "I see. So you heard everything. But why did you ever do that in the first place? Did you have some suspicions? And how did you get that bugging device?"
Sotomuta: "Actually, I managed to smuggle some equipment to the school from my house. Making equipments like those is my family business. That's how I learned everything about them. I thought that getting so much money from the school seemed shady, so I thought that planting a bugging devise in the teacher's desk will help me discover some things. I never thought that it would be such a big deal."
So he had some suspicious and decided to use the means that he was good at to discover the truth. He even managed to smuggle some of his equipment just like me.
Quite impressing. He sure was clever.
I think I know what he really wants from me.
Kiyotaka: "Do you think someone will discover it?"
Sotomura: "I am rather proud of my planting skills, but after seeing this school security measures I am not sure if it wouldn't be discovered after some time."
Kiyotaka: "Take it back as soon as possible."
Sotomura: "Y-yes, it will be done."
Kiyotaka: "Let me ask you straight. What exactly do you want from me?"
Sotomura: "Like I said, I am not good at anything other than technical and equipment stuff. If there's going to be class competition, we will probably be graded at academics and sports. I fear that I may not perform good and hold back our class. There may be even some punishments from the school for low ability students. I would like you to help me out in those in order to survive in this school. And in exchange I will give you my all abilities and equipment. I believe I could be useful for you, Ayanokouji-dono."
Just like I thought.
He figured out that he may not survive in this school with his current skillset, so he decided to turn to the best possible person in his opinion and ask for help in exchange for his unconventional knowledge and methods.
He didn't want to wait out to check how things would go.
I couldn't help but applaud for his quick judgment of the situation.
Thanks to him and Rokusuke, I think I came closer to understand school class sorting rules. At least for my class.
To put it simple class D, the worst class, probably had many like Sotomura - people with some outstanding talent, but having hard time with academics or sports. And in reverse. There probably were also people like Rokusuke - outstanding at the first sight, but with some weird bonus or thinking. I was probably also in that group.
So the school didn't write off students with specific abilities, it just grouped them together. An interesting approach.
But for now, let's focus on Sotomura.
I needed to correct some things that he probably thought as obvious.
Kiyotaka: "Why do you think I am good at academics and sports? I may be average."
Sotomura: "You weren't there on the first day, when Chabashira-sensei explained the rules to us, Ayanokouji-dono. No one asked any question, just like she told you. Most of the class don't have any suspiscious about S-System. That's why I wanted to act fast in my own way. But you.. you cracked it out practically without thinking much. I dare to say that you are the most intelligent student in this school. I don't believe you are average, Ayanokouji-dono. if anything, I think you are all rounder."
He really seemed confident with his statement, though in reality he was gambling.
Only I knew how much right he was. But I needed to correct him more.
Kiyotaka: "It's quite a tempting proposal, but I think you misunderstood something. I wasn't planning to tell our class about S-System hidden rules. I don't want to be a class leader either. This class competition doesn't interest me at all. I will stay away from it as much as possible. So if you thought that you would get protection from the class leader, then you are mistaken."
Sotomura: "Huh? You.. you are not going to tell the class about class competion? Why?"
Kiyotaka: "Because it wouldn't be benefical for my goal and it would be quite troublesome to be a class leader from my standpoint. I wish to spend my time here in different way. So if you actually wanted my help to survive and win this competition, then I can't accept this deal. I can only ensure your safety and help you in academics and sports."
Sotomura: "B-but.. what will happen to the class, if no one knows about competition?"
Kiyotaka: "Actually, it's quite simple. At the beginning of the next month, Chabashira-sensei will explain S-System rules and the true competition will start. It's not like only our classmates are in dark of those information. The other classes don 't have it as well. Let's just make some effort after this in order to survive. That's all."
He didn't know that we were sorted to classes by our worth from the beginning and class A will probably be the first one to figure out S-System, especially since Masumi knew the truth.
It wasn't something that I was gonna tell him right away. He would panic.
Sotomura looked surprised at my laid back attitude.
I sighed.
Kiyotaka: "It's not like I am declining your offer. I actually appreciate you and your skills quite well. I will help you as much as I can, but we will stay in the shadow of the competition. I don't want to ride this tide head on. If I told everyone what I know, they would make me the key person of the class and I don't want such position. I am thinking about my options as well. It's better for someone like Hirata to become leader ."
Sotomura was silent for a while. He probably started to consider his options once again.
Kiyotaka: "You can take back your offer if you want. We will treat this conversation as non-existent. I will forget about your shady actions and you will not say my name while giving your information to another person. It's a fair way out ."
Sotomura: "No, I want to ask for your help anyway, Ayanokouji-dono. My intuition is telling me that you may really be a protagonist. I will treat you as my lord and help you whatever you want. In exchange, please help me with my studies and sports. Also, I hope you will help me out if I am in trouble."
Kiyotaka: "You won't mind if I don't use my knowledge to help the class?"
Sotomura: "I believe that you have a plan, so if possible, please include me in it. I will help you, my lord. I don't think you will let our class sink. It's just a hunch though."
Kiyotaka: "Then we have a deal, Sotomura. But drop that 'lord' thing. It's actually embarrassing. What's with this speech pattern?"
Sotomura: "Haha, I guess my dialect bothers you after all. It's also part of my hobbies."
Kiyotaka: "I suggest changing it somehow. I don't think you will get a girlfriend-dono while speaking like that."
Sotomura received critical hit.
Sotomura: "W-will you also help me in that matter, Ayanokouji-dono?"
Kiyotaka: "Depending on the situation and your effort, sure. Consider my comment about your dialect as relationship advice."
Sotomura: "Hahaha, I guess I will have to change it after all. Then from now on you are my leader, Ayanokouji-do.. Ayanokouji. Please call me Professor, if you don't mind."
Kiyotaka: "Okay, Professor. Let's have a fruitful cooperation."
We shook our hands while smiling.
I didn't know much about Professor, but I liked him quite a bit.
He was really smart and bold. His skillset was something that would definitely become helpful, especially for someone like me, who never avoided making some shady actions.
His equipment will certainly come in handy in some operations.
Depending on the situation his role in the class competition may be huge, if his knowledge was used correctly. If our class have more people like him, my help in the future may not be even necessary.
But more that anything, if there were really more people with hidden potential like him in the class or in our year, then my goal to rule Japan in the future may be realized faster than I thought.
I made a small chuckle.
I felt like a pirate that just caught a wind of hidden treasures and is about to go for a journey.
With Professor as my first ally, my road to the supremacy began.

Chapter 12 - Horikita
Kiyotaka's POV
While exchanging our phone numbers and making some small talk, me and Professor arrived before our classroom.
I could hear from the inside that lesson already started.
I opened the door and both of us walked inside.
37 curious pairs of eyes instantly went in our direction.
I slightly nodded to the teacher, who just gave me a warm smile.
Looks like my classmates already informed him about the incident.
Professor took his seat and I sat right behind him.
For the rest of classes before lunchtime I observed situation in the classroom.
I was quite surprised by teachers warm and friendly attitude towards the class.
Well, it may be a little overboard to say surprise, but when I saw the red haired student fell asleep during the lesson and the teacher didn't say anything though he definitely saw him, I became quite suspicious.
It was impossible to overlook something like that in the elite school, yet the red haired boy had a long nap without problem.
There were some other inappropriate actions by my classmates as well.
I could see some girls started to check out their phones secretly, probably for texting someone.
Some boys started to chat quietly.
Due to the relaxed attitude of the teachers, the students also began to feel at ease, which led to such situations.
I once again started looking at the hidden cameras in the room.
Could it be that the school is assessing our behavior through those, so the teachers didn't need to say anything?
It's quite plausible theory. Considering the class competition format, maybe our behavior in the class is judged as well through some unknown criteria, like in some companies.
The reason those cameras were hidden may be so the students could act at ease while actually being observed.
I sighed internally at my discovery.
Although I don't have any evidence, this attitude problem could be also one of the traits of the class D. If someone won't point it out, our class score in the next month may be miserable.
The bell signaling the end of lesson snapped me out of my thoughts. It was time for lunch break.
Professor turned around to me.
Professor: "How are your thoughts about this lunch break, leader? Do you want to go to the cafeteria to eat with me? We could talk about some things."
Kiyotaka: "I appreciate offer, but I should check on Horikita. You know, to explain things out with her. She probably woke up by now."
Professor: "Oh, that's true. From what I saw, she may actually attack you, so be careful, leader."
I stood up and was about to go out, when suddenly two people came to me.
It was Hirata and Kushida.
Kushida: "Ayanokouji-kun, how was Horikita-san?"
Hirata: "I was about to ask you the same, Ayanokouji-kun. Is everything okay with Horikita-san?"
Kiyotaka: "The nurse confirmed that it was anemia. Horikita didn't wake up before I left, so I don't know any specifics. I am about to go to her to see how is she."
You'll also like
Hirata: "Is that so? Can I accompany you, Ayanokouji-kun? I am worried about Horikita-san's health."
Kushida: "Can I also join you, Ayanokouji-kun? Her state bothered me all the time. I feel sorry for her. She didn't talk with anyone yesterday and now this happened to her."
I must say that I didn't expect such a turn of situation. Horikita was more popular that I thought.
The situation became problematic. I hoped to see Horikita alone, so we could talk it through.
Hirata and Kushida seemed like good people, but talking openly with Horikita would be impossible with them.
Before i thought about some kind of excuse to get rid of them, the door opened with big noise.
To the classroom came the black haired girl.
Although her face looked indifferent, the ice cold aura she emitted suggested that her state was not calm at all.
She scanned the classroom for a moment, then her eyes met mine and her face morphed into that of demon for a second.
Horikita made her way up to me.
Despite knowing of how much trouble I was in, I couldn't bear, but once again inspect her features, especially since she went close to me. I remembered the soft feeling I felt while carrying this girl to the infirmary.
I met her icy look with teasing smile.
So, how are you gonna play this game, my little scaredy cat?
Hirata: "Horikita-san! We were about to visit you in the infirmary. I heard you fainted because of anemia. I am so glad that you look fine."
Seriously, read the room, Hirata.
We were about to start a showdown, yet Hirata sneak attacked Horikita with kindness.
But Horikita looked like she didn't hear a thing.
I decided to speak as well.
Kiyotaka: "Yes, I am glad too, Horikita. You scared me, when you suddenly fainted on your seat. Fortunately, there was no damage, when you crashed with the floor. Chabashira-sensei and the nurse told us that it was probably anemia. You should look after yourself more, Horikita. It's just a second day of the school."
Horikita was still looking at me with huge glare. She probably was digesting the information she got from me.
Kiyotaka: "By the way, I am Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. Your seatmate. I was absent yesterday, so the class started to call me the ghost of the class. Nice to meet you."
I said with the smile, while trying to indirectly explain myself to her.
Horikita: "I see. A ghost, huh?"
She said with emotionless voice. She probably understood the reasoning of scaring her.
She went to her seat and started to look for something in her bag.
Kushida: "Horikita-san, are you okay? You look quite tired. Please don't overwork yourself. Everyone was worried about you. Maybe you should rest more?"
Horikita took something from her bag and put it in her pocket.
Then suddenly her other hand grabbed my tie and pulled me towards the exit.
Horikita: "I'm fine. I'm gonna borrow Ayanokouji-kun for a while."
Kushida: "Huh?"
Looks like Horikita was trying to speak with me privately.
Though her methods were rather savage, I decided to just go with her.
Kiyotaka: "Don't worry, I will look after her."
I could feel Horikita's grasp tightened after I spoke. My poor tie may not survive this encounter.
Under curious gazes of our classmates, Horikita pulled me out of the classroom.
After leaving the classroom, the black haired girl still didn't let go of me and started to walk.
Kiyotaka: "There's no need to be so rough, you know. I won't run away."
She still went on like she didn't hear me at all.
Kiyotaka: "Are you sure that you want to get so much attention for going with the boy in such strange manner? There will be rumors later."
She suddenly stopped and let go of my tie.
My poor tie, you worked hard to stay alive. I will treat you better from on.
Horikita: "Come with me. Otherwise you will regret."
Kiyotaka: "Yes, madam."
We walked together in total silence.
Horikita took me out of the school and led me behind one of the adjoining buildings. It was area, where there was no cameras around. A quite convenient place.
I must say that she is making it really obvious to figure out her motives. Not that I minded at all.
I was more concerned about the presence I felt when we were leaving the school building.
Kiyotaka: "So? Why did you lead me here, Horikita?"
Horikita turned around to face me and put her hand in her pocket.
Horikita: "Ayanokouji-kun, was it fun? Being a ghost and humiliating me."
Kiyotaka: "Look, I apologize to you for that. I didn't think that it would turn up like that. I was just trying to funnily introduce myself to you. I didn't know that you would faint from my acting."
Horikita: "Ayanokouji-kun, you like acting like a ghost?"
Kiyotaka: "Huh? Well, it was actually my first time trying it like that."
Horikita smiled but her smile did not reach her cold eyes.
Horikita: "Then why don't you became a real ghost, Ayanokouji-kun." She said with voice totally on level with mine, when I was scaring her.
My survival instinct ranges in the alarm.
Suddenly Horikita attacked me with something she took from her pocket.
It was a compass for mathematical uses.
With compass needle, she tried to stab my neck.
Crap, she really went on berserk mode! On top of that, instant kill strike?!
Just how big of grudge did she hold against me?
Despite Horikita's sneak attack, I was prepared for sudden change of situation.
To begin with, she was too slow for something like that to actually hit me.
I avoided it with ease.
Horikita: "Why did you avoid it?!"
Kiyotaka: "Of course I would avoid a fatal attack like that. Are you trying to kill me, Horikita?"
Horikita: "I am just making your dream of becoming ghost a reality, Ayanokouji-kun! You should just stand still and accept it with gratitude!"
Kiyotaka: "As if I was stupid enough to believe you. You were trying to murder me just now!"
Horikita: "After what you did to me, don't think I will let you off! I was completely humiliated by you! I will make sure you die in regret and suffering!"
Kiyotaka: "Have you gone mad, Horikita? No one knows that you are the scaredy cat apart from me. Everyone think that you have anemia."
Horikita: "The more reason to kill you!"
Horikita attacked me with compass needle endlessly. She completely lost her reasoning.
My brain cells rotated in high speed thinking how to get out of this situation.
I could keep avoid her, but that would probably not stop her rampage.
I could stop her movements, but constraining a girl while we had a spectator would be problematic for me.
I was wondering why that guy didn't come out from his hiding.
Maybe he wanted to stay hidden unless something big will happen.
Or maybe he tried to see how I will react to Horikita's attacks.
There was also a chance that he wanted to see me actually hurt Horikita to blackmail me later.
No matter what I concluded that this person won't try to stop her from harming me.
It would be over with his appearance, yet this bastard just looked at us without moving.
I needed to stop Horikita's amok without hurting her on my own.
Then, I remembered a certain wise man have once said that no matter how upset or dazed a person was, if the body was stimulated enough by another factor, they'd come back to their senses, even if they didn't like it.
I see. I just need to stimulate Horikita's body strongly enough to make her stop trying to hurt me. At least for now.
But I needed to make it look like accident made by her mistake. Otherwise she will hunt me for the rest of her life. Or our spying fox may really have some blackmail material on me.
If I played it carefully, I will flush that observing bastard from his hideout as well.
And I will make both of them regret not stopping this incident from expanding.
I decided to play along with Horikita's revenge plan. But not for free.
Horikita suddenly stopped to catch a breath. But the hatred in her eyes didn't fade at all.
Kiyotaka: "Please stop it, Horikita! It's futile to continue like that."
Horikita: "It won't be over unless you die!"
Horikita charged again at me with full speed.
But this time I took her head on.
Her hand with compass swung mightily targeting my body.
But I wasn't trying to prevent myself from being stabbed at all.
I used my palm to stop the compass needle from reaching its target.
I didn't try to grab Horikita's hand or attack her.
I let the needle pierce through my palm.
I felt slightly painful sting because of my block. But I wasn't worried.
I calculated that such a wound wasn't a big of deal and it would be easy to hide it.
But it was enough to wake up Horikita from her amok.
Her eyes widen up in horror when she saw some of my blood spurt out of my hand.
I could sense that our spectators moved as well.
But I won't let this incident end right now.
Ayanokouji Kiyotaka won't let anyone hurt himself without paying a price.
Standing in the same place, I shifted slightly my upper body back.
My damaged hand gently pulled Horikita's body to myself.
At the same time, I used my leg to put her leg backwards to move her center of gravity forward. Confused Horikita at full speed lost her standing and her body heavily crashed into my body.
I set my face a little to match her face movement and before Horikita crashed into me, I made my lips touch her lips or rather I made it look as if she rushed at me and kissed me by coincidence since she didn't stopped her movement in time.
Horikita's lips were really soft and sweet. The heavenly feeling started to spread through my mouth.
But I still needed to focus, because we were right now falling down to the ground.
Just before our bodies crashed into the ground, my hands went after Horikita's body.
My damaged left hand with compass still impaled into it held her waist to stabilize her body after the crash.
My right healthy hand, the unruly rascal, went after her butt and squeezed it wholeheartedly.
What a amazing feeling it was. I should have put some glue on this hand before.
I guess we are even right now, Horikita. I forgive you.
Feeling satisfied with my positioning, I focused fully on my lips and hand.
We finally crushed on the ground, but I didn't let go of her. Her soft breasts were pressing against my chest tighly. Another great feeling to remember.
I sure was enjoying myself to the fullest.
I opened my eyes and looked at Horikita, who did the same.
We both looked surprised. Well, Horikita was surely surprised by the whole incident and our current intimate pose, while I just acted out to match her expression for the third person to see.
I suppose there was no need for him to hide anymore. The situation escalated outside his range of imagination after all.
In the end Horikita Manabu could only look helplessly as his sister was kissing me after stabbing my hand.
Manabu: "Suzune, what are you doing?" He asked her in cold voice clearly trying to pretend that he just arrived.
His acting was really good. Well, he was definitely surprised by final of our showdown.
So his sister's name was Suzune, huh? It was a nice name. I will call her that from now on.
Thank you very much for additional free information, President.
I wondered what was gonna happen now.
Suzune violently separated her lips from mine and sat on me while looking at her brother with stunned expression.
I thought that she would stand up instantly, but Suzune practically petrified, when her eyes met with her brother's eyes. She looked at him scared even more than when she was looking at me as the ghost.
Could it be that they weren't in good relationship?
Let's not make such conclusion easily and play my part first.
I looked at Horikita Manabu with surprised and confused expression.
Kiyotaka: "Horikita-senpai!"
He looked at me with cold vision as well.
Manabu: "Looks like you two were having fun, Ayanokouji. Would you mind explaining it to me?"
Bastard, you saw everything and now ask for explanation?
Blame yourself to let this situation grown to this extent.
Kiyotaka: "I think you should ask Suzune for explanation, Horikita-senpai. I was a victim."
Suzune: "E-elder brother..."
Oh, welcome back, Suzune.
Manabu: "How long are you going to sat on Ayanokouji, Suzune? Stand up."
Suzune: "Y-Yes..."
Suzune clumsily managed to stand up and made some distance from me.
She didn't have any of her cold aura. She looked pitifully and docile. I could see her body trembling, probably from the fear of her brother.
I also stood up while hiding slightly my impaled hand from Horikita-senpai. I knew he saw it earlier, but I needed to pretend that I don't know that.
His vision was on his sister. He was practically glaring at her.
Manabu: "Suzune, I didn't think you'd follow me this far. On top of that, I didn't think I would see you in such situation after two years of separation. Would you mind explaining yourself?"
Horikita Manabu's vision was not like he was looking at his family member, but like he was looking at the wayside trash.
Even if I considered this look as his disappointment reaction for what he saw, it shouldn't be as fierce as that.
Suzune: "B-brother.. II.. It's not like that.. I-It was Ayanokouji-kun.. he made me.. like that.."
Manabu: "Are trying to say that it was Ayanokouji's fault? What did he do to you?"
Suzune: "..."
It seemed like Horikita-senpai didn't like his younger sister at all and took all the blame on her.
Well, he wasn't wrong, but that's not how normally people would treat their sibling.
Suzune was so mad at me for the ghost incident, but I don't think she will have courage to tell her brother about it.
I was wondering if Horikita Manabu already heard about his sister collapsing in the morning.
Manabu: "I asked you a question."
Suzune: "H-he tricked me in the classroom. And I got really mad at him. So I was trying to make him apologize to me. That k-kiss just now was a total accident, I swear."
Not bad, Suzune. A normal student may actually buy this explanation. But definitely not your brother, who saw the whole thing. My deep condolences.
Indeed, the pressure from Horikita Manabu increased rapidly as well as his icy aura.
Manabu: "It seems like I was mistaken, Suzune. To think you would grow guts big enough to actually lie to my face. Did you want Ayanokouji to apologize to you by actually stabbing him with your compass? His hand is bleeding for a while , you know."
Suzune stiffened under her brother pressure, then she looked at my hand impaled with her compass with terrified expression.
Even if I wanted to hide it, there was no mistaking that my blood was slightly dripping from my hand. And the weapon responsible for that was still clinging to it as well.
Manabu: "I saw you attacking madly Ayanokouji with sharp object. You actually stabbed a fellow student with cold blood while screaming that you will murder him. There are your fingerprints and Ayanokouji's blood on your compass. And we can actually consider your ambiguous actions later as sexual harassment towards wounded student. With those facts, I could even expel you from the school, Suzune."
Suzune's face turned pale to terrifying level. Tears began to form in her eyes.
Probably in her wildest dreams she wouldn't think that she may be expelled from this school on her second day. And by hands of her brother.
To be honest I was surprised by Horikita-senpai decisive, brutal verdict. Even if he held the post of Student Council President, it wasn't expected behaviour towards his family member.
I thought that he would be furious at me for stealing his sister lips, while I would just defend myself by saying it was an accident and showed him my wounded hand as a bargaining chip.
My plan was to use my impaled hand as some blackmail material on him. A small revenge for staring at us without stopping his sister.
But things were different right now. He actually used my blackmailing material to actually expel his younger sister.
I felt something was wrong.
Although we only met yesterday, he didn't look like such a person. He was strict, that's for sure. But such a cold treatment felt unnatural for some reason.
Even when he was staring at his sister, I could sense that he was observing me stealthy.
Was he actually testing me? Or his sister? Or both of us?
Suzune: "B-brother.. No, I didn't.. want to do that.."
Suzune seemed totally unable to make a decent statement in front of her brother.
Was it actually her true appearance under that cold behaviour? Her cold self that went totally mad earlier looked like a dream right now.
Just what happened between them to actually make them so distant to each other? Why is Horikita Manabu treating her like that? And why is she like that towards him?
I felt curious.
Both of them seemed to be skillful individuals, especially President.
This actually may be my chance.
I decided to help Suzune despite her attempt at my life.
It was my silly prank that started it and I took her first kiss probably.
As a man I should take responsibility for my actions.
I took Horikita's compass in my healthy hand and removed it from the wounded one.
Kiyotaka: "It's actually a misunderstanding, Horikita-senpai. Suzune is telling the truth. I tricked her a little in the classroom and made her come to this place. I actually confessed to her here, but she rejected me. She got mad, because of my rude comment after that and attacked me as she considered my actions as offensive. She actually stabbed me by chance and because of her carelessness both of us crashed on the ground which resulted in that accidental kiss. There isn't any reason for her to get expelled."
Horikita siblings looked at me.
Suzune looked at me in surprise. She probably didn't think that she would receive help from her victim.
Horikita-senpai looked slightly surprised as well. He saw everything, so he knew that I just spoke some big lies right now.
But the truth was not important right now. It was his behavior towards Suzune that mattered.
Manabu: "What do you think you are doing, Ayanokouji? Do you seriously think that I would believe your lie?"
Kiyotaka: "With all due respect, President. You are just a witness, who didn't saw a full picture of the events that happened here, while I am a victim. As long as I don't see a problem here and won 't report it to the school, your statement is not enough to make Suzune expelled, especially since my statement is different. Without a clear will of the victim, you cannot make an accusation based only on your thinking. Do you have a proof that what you said is true and what I said is lie?"
Manabu: "That's quite a lawyer-like opinion. Is that your official statement of the situation?"
Kiyotaka: "Yeah, it is. Suzune happens to be my seatmate, so I would cry if I lost a sight of such a beauty. Even if she refused my confession."
Manabu: "You really are unique student, Ayanokouji. First you provoked Nagumo, now me. You sure love to make trouble. But I will let you off today."
For some reason he seemed happy. Looks like I passed some test of his.
Then he looked at his sister with disappointment. I guess Suzune didn't meet his expectations.
Manabu: "Considering Ayanokouji's statement, you will not be punished today, Suzune. But next time you may not be so lucky."
Suzune seemed to understand her brother mood as well. She just nodded while looking down.
Manabu: "I wish to speak to Ayanokouji in private before the lunch break ends. Go back to your classroom, Suzune."
Suzune looked at us for a second, then left without speaking a word. Well, to be more precise, she ran away considering her quick movements. I guess it was too much for her.
Kiyotaka: "You sure are treating her harshly, senpai. Mind telling me why?"
Manabu: "Don't poke your nose into unnecessary things, Ayanokoji."
Kiyotaka: "Oh, but they may be my things in the future. Just because Suzune rejected my confession once doesn't mean that she will later. Who knows, maybe one day I will start calling you brother-in-law."
Manabu: "We both know that it was just utter nonsense from you to protect her, so stop playing around. I have watched enough drama from you today."
Kiyotaka: "You also were actually not serious at all about expelling her. You just wanted to gauge my attitude towards her after that attack. You actually cares about her, don't you?"
Manabu: "Like I said, it's not your business. Don't pry anymore, Ayanokouji."
Kiyotaka: "Fine, fine. I will back off for now. So? What do you want, President?"
Manabu: "The school confirmed that Nagumo broke the rules. He will be officially punished today after the school."
Kiyotaka: "The school won't have more questions for me and Fuka?"
Manabu: "No, the school didn't find anything suspiscious about you two, so you are clear. Your presence also won't be needed anymore since it would only make more students from your year curious about your involvement in this case. Officially , the reason for Nagumo's punishment will not be known for public. So the only ones, who know about the truth, are Student Council members and you two."
Kiyotaka: "So the school doesn't want the other students to be suspisious about the hidden rules by announcing the reason for punishment and the people involved. Quite clever. The class competition would be still a secret in this month. Unless me or Fuka will speak about it or someone else will figure it out on their own."
Manabu: "Did you not tell your class about it in the morning?"
Kiyotaka: "No, for now I decided to keep my mouth closed. Well, not having interest in the class competition is a big factor for that. But I have other reasons as well."
Manabu: "You don't want to be involved in the class battles?"
Kiyotaka: "Do I have to?"
Manabu: "No, it's your decision. But know that Nagumo will not let you off from now on. You would need allies."
Kiyotaka: "Having my class as allies and being their leader because of my findings are two different things. I don't want to be chained to the class competition as leader of the class. I would rather focus on something that really may be helpful against Nagumo. Like being second Student Council Vice-President. Or the first one, if Nagumo actually would lose his position after today."
Manabu: "I don't think Nagumo will lose his position. He is really ambitious. He actually wants to become Student Council President to create a meritocratic system in the school. The current school system is boring for him. That's why he and I aren't in good terms. I want the school to stay as it is. I don't think Nagumo will change the school for better. It's only for his own ego and amusement."
Kiyotaka: "I see. A proud prince, who wants to reform the school after becoming a king. Then what do you think about my proposition? I just arrived at this school so I can't tell which way is better, but as you said, I am currently Nagumo's enemy. I would probably be his enemy even without yesterday incident."
Manabu: "Because of Kiryuin?"
Kiyotaka: "Yes, because of Fuka. And because I dislike that blonde donkey from the first moment I saw him. Ah, but don't think I will give up on your sister because of that. I never close the gate that I decided to open."
Manabu: "You sure are honest in the problematic way, Ayanokouji. But I won't bother with that for now. I guess you have qualifications to join Student Council. Considering that you figured out S-System on your first day and from what I saw up to this moment, I can make you second Student Council Vice-President."
Kiyotaka: "Even if I am from class D?"
Manabu: "Even if you are from class D. I am the one who can appoint my successors, so if I feel like you have qualifications, then I can appoint you without waiting for others approval."
Kiyotaka: "You are just as bold as me, President. I like you. Having you as my brother-in-law may be really nice. I think I will bother our little Suzune-chan more in the future."
Manabu: "You are getting annoying, Ayanokouji. I don't care what you will do to Suzune from now on, so stop making those comments. If you really want to become Vice-President, apply tomorrow at the student club affair that will be held after classes."
Kiyotaka: "Sure, I will be there."
Manabu: "Since everything is clear, go back to the school. You hand needs to be treated in the infirmary."
Kiyotaka: "Oh, don't worry about that. I will take care of it."
Manabu: "Then I will see you tomorrow, Ayanokouji."
Without speaking anymore, Horikita Manabu left me.
So many things happened in such short amount of time, yet I couldn't really figure out this person. I guess I will have more time to do that in the future thanks to my new position. And thanks to Suzune.
I wonder how the black haired girl will treat me from now on.
Well, it doesn't really matter, since I decided to bother her from on anyway.
Mainly because of her older brother.
Not because of her sweet lips, soft breasts and amazing butt, I swear.
I went to the school building with grin while thinking about my black haired seatmate.

Chapter 13 - A Bet
Kiyotaka's POV
After entering the school building, my goal was to go to the infirmary.
I needed to treat my wound after all.
Fortunately, not many students were along my way, so I managed to walk swiftly without anyone noticing my bloody hand.
The nurse wasn't around either. She probably had a lunch break as well or went to the staff room.
I guess I got lucky, since I didn't have to talk about my wound and get unnecessary attention.
I decided to look around and check what kind of medicines I could get from here.
There were some cameras here, so I pretended to look for some bandages.
This infirmary was quite well equipped, just like the rest of the school.
There were many different medicines here.
I could see some strong painkillers, sleeping pills or laxatives.
There were also some useful stuff like syringes, scalpels, small knives or tweezers.
It was quite a collection. You could probably make an operation here, if needed.
I noted in my mind everything that could be useful for me.
Of course, many things were closed in the cabinets, but there was no need for me to endanger myself to check them up.
I took some bandages with ointment and started to treat my hand in front of the camera to clear myself of any suspicious.
I also wrote a note for the nurse that I was here and took some bandages.
Then I left the infirmary satisfied with my luck and some discoveries.
I went in the direction of my classroom.
I wondered, if Suzune was there and how she would react.
She probably wouldn't attack me for the second time, especially after President Horikita caught us.
But I don't think she would treat me friendly either.
If I really wanted to get close to her, I needed to be prepared for a long siege.
How troublesome.
But benefits from this relationship would be big.
Suzune was pretty and actually quite strong. I bet she was smart as well.
Her character was troublesome factor, but it's not like she couldn't be tamed. Especially after I saw her cute and fragile side.
And being in at least friendly terms with her meant that I could be close to her brother as well.
Horikita Manabu was definitely someone highly capable. Just being able to become a Student Council President in this school shows how much skill and popularity he must have.
Making him my ally would greatly help me in the future. But this is his last year here, so I must hurry up.
The problem was that he was like a big rock. He probably rarely changed that stern expression.
I sure got lucky to get on his radar from the start.
I thought of befriending him from the beginning as a member of Student Council, but his sister may be a shortcut for that.
Well, at least in theory.
After all, their relationship seemed not really good.
There was a part of me, which thought that I should just abandon Suzune and go for her brother alone.
You'll also like
But Suzune was a real beauty and it would be a waste to not try.
I had a hunch that Horikita-senpai actually cared about his sister, but in some weird way.
Those two siblings circumstances looked complex.
I quickly reached the classroom door and opened it.
Almost instantaneously a pair of cold eyes looked at me.
Horikita Suzune was in the classroom. As well as a few people, whom I didn't know.
Her beautiful face turned cold the second she recognized me.
I smiled at her slightly and went to my seat.
I decided to mind my own business for now and took my lunch box from the bag.
I could still sense Suzune's gaze at me. She was also in the middle of her lunch as well.
I must say that her lunch looked tasty. Everything looked as handmade, so she was probably the one, who made it.
It was somehow surprising considering her personality.
She ate slowly, taking small bites into her mouth. Her lips were a little glossy.
I remembered their taste and unconsciously licked mine.
Suzune: "Do you want to die?"
Looks like my actions were noticed by her and she became irritated.
Kiyotaka: "If by death you mean that you are going to kiss me like the last time, then I am in."
She glared at me as if I was her sworn enemy.
Suzune: "Watch your mouth! If you dare to tell someone what happened there, I will make you pay."
Kiyotaka: "Eh? But I was about to boast about it to the entire school. Horikita Suzune kissed me. This will be our kids favorite story."
Suzune: "Huhh?! What are you talking about?! It was an accident, nothing more! If you are going to speak more nonsense like that, I will make sure your stay in this school will be a nightmare."
Kiyotaka: "Considering gains and loses from that incident, I think I still am benefiting, since your lips felt really good, Suzune. If I will experience nightmare from you, then by logic what kind of pleasure you will give me after that. I look forward to it."
Suzune: "You are a sick pervert. I don't want to talk to you anymore. Also, I didn't give you permission to call me by my name."
Kiyotaka: "No need to be so embarassed, Suzune. I already have a blessing from your brother. It seems like he took a liking for me."
Suzune: "What?! B-brother.. He.. Impossible! You are lying! He isn't that kind of person."
As expected, just mention of her brother sure shook Suzune's posture.
She definitely had a huge respect for him, but also was rather scared of him.
I decided to tease her with some mixed lies and truth of what Horikita-senpai said to me.
For some reason I just couldn't help myself, but to tease Suzune whenever I see her.
And gaining a green light from her brother just increased that urge.
After all, he said that I could do anything I want to her, which sure fueled my imagination.
Kiyotaka: "I was surprised as well. Me and him already became friends yesterday. He sure is a great person. After you left, he told me happily to take care of you and that he will support our relationship anytime."
Suzune: "Liar! It's a lie! Brother wouldn't do something like that!"
Kiyotaka: "Wouldn't do what, Suzune? Became friends with me? Support our relationship? Or asking me to take care of you in the happy mood?"
Suzune: "Everything! He isn't such a person. He wouldn't become friends with a bastard like you, let alone approve of you just like that. It's absurd."
Kiyotaka: "But it's all true, Suzune. He even invited me to the Student Council. Who knows, maybe he will give me position of Vice-President, since he is dissatisfied with the current one. I could spend more time with brother- in-law."
Suzune: "It's impossible. You sure are getting ahead of yourself with your delusions. I won't be deceived by your tricks anymore, Ayanokouji-kun. Stop calling me by my name and stop calling my brother your brother-in-law or you will really regret it."
Kiyotaka: "Then do you wanna bet on it? I am gonna bet that I will be appointed as Student Council Vice-President by the end of this month by your beloved brother."
Suzune: "Like I said, it's impossible."
Kiyotaka: "Then bet with me. If I won't become Vice-President by the end of this month, I will be your slave for the rest of our time in this school. You can give me any command you wish."
Suzune: "What? Are you serious?"
Kiyotaka: "Yes. But if I win.. Let's see.. Once per week for the rest of our staying here, you need to go on date with me after the school. The duration of one date couldn't be less than 3 hours, the places for them would be decided by me and you need to attend them in the casual clothes. In other words, you need to treat those dates like the real ones that you would care about as a girlfriend."
Suzune's aura rapidly became dark. This girl was seriously easy to piss off by just some words.
Suzune: "Dream on! Why would I need to do something like that, especially with someone like you?"
Kiyotaka: "I am placing myself as a slave for your command in this bet and you can't sacrifice 3 hours per week for me?"
Suzune: "I hate you, so of course I would like to not being around you as much as I could. I am irritated just by the thought that you are my seatmate for the next three years. And you want me to go on dates with you?"
Kiyotaka: "Says the girl, who stabbed my hand and kissed me against my will. You are lucky that you can still sit here. But since you are so unwilling to be here, you can drop out on your own."
Suzune: "It's all because of you! If you didn't humiliate me like that, I would never bother myself with you. If not for you.. my brother wouldn't see me like that. It's all your fault!"
Kiyotaka: "Like I said, he actually didn't mind it that much. It's not that bad as you are saying. Didn't I say that he actually asked me to become a member of Student Council? He may be more open minded than you think."
Suzune: "I don't believe you, so stop lying, Ayanokouji-kun. My brother wouldn't do something like that. Someone like you wouldn't get his approval. It's simply impossible."
Kiyotaka: "Then bet with me. If you win, then you can just ask me to stay away from you or make me do something as revenge. And if I win, then have many fun with dates me, Suzune. It's that simple. Do we have a deal?"
Suzune: "..."
Suzune's gaze was fixed at me for some time.
I also was looking at her with a harmless smile.
Kiyotaka: "If you are so sure that it's impossible, then why are you hesistating? It's a sure win for you. Unless.. you actually may think that I have a chance, but don't want to admit it. You sure can be cute, Suzune."
She sighed deeply.
Suzune: "You sure are bothersome, Ayanokouji-kun. Since you are probably going to annoy me endlessly, accepting this bet and shutting your mouth may be a better option. Fine, I agree. It's not like my brother would accept you as his succeeds anyway."
Kiyotaka: "Great! Then the bet is on! I will make a voice recording of that."
Suzune: "Huh? Why would you do that? Do you not believe me, Ayanokouji-kun?"
Kiyotaka: "Of course, I don't believe you in the slightest, my pretty future girlfriend."
Suzune: "Wait a second. I didn't agree to become your girlfriend in this bet."
Kiyotaka: "Okay, okay. To be honest, that's even better. You won't interfere, when I will hang out with the other girls. You sure are considerate, Suzune. Thanks."
Suzune: "You are scum beyond salvation, Ayanokouji-kun. I can't believe I am actually bothering myself with something like that. Also, stop calling me by my name."
Kiyotaka: "Okay, I will add a condition that if you win, I will stop calling you Suzune, but if I win, you need to call me Kiyotaka. Do you mind, Ho-ri-ki-ta-chan~?"
Suzune: "I don't mind, so stop calling me that. It's nauseating."
Suzune's face turned green from my sweet call.
I must say that it's been really a long time, since my charms worked so little on the girl my age.
It was a little frustrating, but I was patient.
I made a voice recording with bet conditions on it and Suzune just simply said that she agree with that at the end.
It would be easier to just write an agreement for our bet, but I wouldn't get another benefit from that, which was..
Kiyotaka: "Please give me your contact info."
Suzune: "Do I have to?"
Kiyotaka: "I need to send you this recording for fairness, so I kindly ask you for your phone number. Unless you don't want it."
Suzune: "This is getting annoying. I will block you after your first worthless message."
We exchanged contact information and I sent her the recording.
Suzune just checked it and started to continue her lunch, while ignoring my existence.
I stared at her, then at her number in my phone.
Poor Suzune.
She didn't know that she just agreed to the deal with demon.
Taming her into submission sure is gonna be enjoyable.
I really can't wait to see her face, when I will be officially appointed as Vice-President.
Not only I will get myself a good social position, I will also get a beauty.
I must thank brother-in-law later. His support was really great.
I will make sure his sister will have a lot of fun in the future.
I smiled a little to myself and started to eat my lunch.
Just when I was about to finish eating, I got a message from Fuka.
[Fuka]: Kiyotaka, save me.
[Kiyotaka]: ?
[Fuka]: My classmates are killing me.
[Kiyotaka]: What?
[Fuka]: They are trying to make me join their sect.
[Kiyotaka]: Sect? What kind of sect?
[Fuka]: A friendship sect.
[Kiyotaka]: What? Are you joking?
[Fuka]: Nooo, I am serious.
[Fuka]: You need to save me, Kiyotaka. Otherwise your Fuka-chan will turn into a good girl. You don't want me to turn into a good girl, do you?
[Kiyotaka]: My spear is yours to command, my lady.
[Fuka]: Then pick me up after the classes, my knight. I will reward you greatly.
[Kiyotaka]: I will rush like the wind towards you, my lady. I will cross through seven hills and swam through seven seas to prevent your cruel fate.
[Fuka]: Then I will longingly await your arrival, Sir Kiyotaka.
Looks like Fuka was having a hard time with her class.
What exactly were her classmates doing for her to ask me to interfere?
I was curious about this 'friendship sect'.
But thanks to Fuka, I will have a chance to meet with class B soon and start to make some connections.
This is a good beginning.
Suzune: "How creepy."
Kiyotaka: "Huh?"
Suzune: "You were watching your phone with a creepy smile for a while. It's disturbing, so please stop."
Kiyotaka: "I just got myself a date after the school with the girl more beautiful than you."
Suzune: "Poor girl. For her to fall so low and interact with you. She has my condolences. She was probably forced by you."
Kiyotaka: "How funny, Suzune. But unfortunately, she is not a scaredy cat like you. You are unique existence in this school. And you probably broke some record with that fainting."
Suzune: "If you dare to speak about that anymore, I will.."
Kiyotaka: "Kiss me one more time? Go ahead."
Suzune: "Ayanokouji-kun. You better prepare yourself as my slave. I will make sure to work you to the bone."
Kiyotaka: "How sadistic. But the one, who should prepare is you, Suzune. Our dates are going to be so fun. I just can't wait to see you under.. cough.. with me."
Suzune: "Just being classmates with a scum like you is degenerating. Your admission to this elite school is the biggest mistake of the administration here."
Kiyotaka: "They probably saw in me the same thing as your brother."
Suzune: "You sure love to spout nonsense. I will not believe anything you will say from now on, Ayanokouji-kun."
Kiyotaka: "We shall see, Suzune. We shall see. I think I understand why your brother doesn't treat you well. You sure are short-sighted. I will try to fix it during our dates."
Suzune: "Shut up! It's not your business! Leave me alone!"
Kiyotaka: "Okay. We will talk about that after I win our bet."
Suzune looked away, refusing to continue our conversation.
As expected, she and President were on bad terms with each other.
To be more specific, it looks like Horikita-senpai disapprove of Suzune. Which is not that surprising after seeing her character and actions.
Trying to fix that problem may be troublesome without knowing the root of it.
Either I need to have an honest talk with Horikita-senpai, either I need to push Suzune even more.
For now, let's endure her malice until I got the Vice-President position.
For now, my social standing outside the class is my highest priority.
I need to build relationships with other classes.
I probably should ask Masumi and Nishino how they were doing with their classmates.
I texted both of them, asking how they were doing.
After half a minute I got a reply from Masumi.
[Masumi]: I'm fine.
[Kiyotaka]: Did you make new friends?
[Masumi]: No.
[Kiyotaka]: Why?
[Masumi]: My classmates are annoying.
[Kiyotaka]: Why?
[Masumi]: I don't want to talk about it.
[Kiyotaka]: I see.
...
...
[Kiyotaka]: You are not going to ask me how was my day?
[Masumi]: I am not interested.
This girl..
I will make sure you are interested then.
I sent her a picture of my hand in the bandage.
[Kiyotaka]: At least no one bullied you. That's good.
[Kiyotaka]: Have a nice day, Masumi.
[Masumi]: What the hell happened to you?!
[Kiyotaka]: It's a long story. I don't want to bore you, since you are not interested.
[Masumi]: You sure are annoying.
[Masumi]: Fine, I am interested. So tell me.
[Kiyotaka]: Wanna come to my room later? I could tell you, while having a drink.
[Masumi]: This was your goal from the beginning, wasn't it?
[Kiyotaka]: Who knows.
[Kiyotaka]: So you are not interested anymore?
[Masumi]: Fine, I will come in the evening.
[Kiyotaka]: Thank you, Masumi. I will be waiting for you.
[Masumi]: Yeah. See you later.
And with that I got another meeting with a beauty today.
My life here was surely busy.
This time Suzune didn't comment anything.
I think she really decided to not speak with me more than necessary.
For the rest of the lunch break, I was looking through the window or observing my classmates.
I must say that this class sure have some weird individuals apart from Rokusuke.
There were some boys, who were talking loudly about how the girls were cute and how this or that girl had big boobs. Kushida's name were repeated some times by them. Poor girl.
The two biggest groups in the class belong to Hirata and Kushida.
Kushida's friendly demeanor definitely won her friendship with many classmates. Her group was mainly with rather shy girls, who spoke happily with her.
There were also some boys, who were trying to speak with her in the meantime, probably trying their luck. Yet, Kushida's smile never wavered.
If there was anything weird that was worth noting about her, it was her taking a peek at Suzune from time to time and by extension at me.
I caught her once and she woke to me with smile. But my intuition was telling me that there was more to it.
How did she know about Suzune's name, if Suzune never introduced herself to the class? Were they actually acquaintances from the middle school or something? It's a plausible theory.
It's worth investigating, since Kushida was cute as hell. And her boobs were really big.
Looks like I got infected with perverted thoughts of my classmates.
I looked at the second big group in the classroom.
If I was trying to name it, it would be called 'Hirata's Fanclub'.
It was a circle made with Hirata and the girls, who probably were hitting on him. The blonde ponytail girl was one of them. Her presence was the strongest among the girls there.
This picture was exactly what I wanted to avoid at all cost.
A boy, who was nice and handsome, who had a charisma of class leader and probably will become one in the near future. And a bunch of girls, who flocked to him like moths to a light.
Although at the first sight it looked nice and I could see some boys jealous stares at Hirata, in the reality it was really a tiresome position.
You needed a lot of patience for every one of those girls and your private time would be totally occupied with them.
On the one hand, they would like to know everything about you, but on the other hand, they would actually know nothing important about you. Especially the bad stuff.
I bet some of those girls already see Hirata as a knight in shining armor without even considering that he may actually have some bad past or addictions.
If Hirata was actually a hidden playboy, I'm sure he would take a virginity of one of them before the end of the month.
Well, since I don't know any of them, it's not my problem for now.
On the unimportant note, I am more than sure that Rokusuke will have this achievement, though no one from our classmates was paying attention to him and vice versa.
That fellow was always into older women. Not that I am blaming him or anything.
As long as he won't pay attention to Sae-sensei, I don't plan to interfere with his conquests.
While thinking about useless stuff like that, the break was over and the lesson started.
My classmates behavior was getting more and more wild with every minute. There were practically only a few students, who took the classes seriously, like Suzune.
I was trying to not make problems myself, but I wasn't really paying attention to the teacher as well.
I was slightly worried about no answer from Nishino.
I think our relation was rather good, so she shouldn't behave like that towards me.
Could it be that she had so much fun with her classmates that she didn't check up her phone?
It was the only positive theory that I had about this situation. The other ones were rather bad or troublesome.
I decided to send her another message later to see her response.
The rest of the classes passed fairly quickly and my first day in the school was finally over.
I packed myself and started to leave the classroom.
I felt a few gazes at me, but I already had appointment with Fuka, so there was no need to waste time for now.
I made eye contact with no one and left quickly.
Classroom of the class 1-B was not so far, but it would still take a few minutes to arrive there.
Suddenly I heard a voice from behind.
?: "Wait, Ayanokouji-kun!"
I turned around and saw Kushida, who was a little out of breath. She probably went after me a few moments after I left the classroom.
Kiyotaka: "Hello, Kushida. Do you need something from me? I am in hurry, so I don't have much time to talk right now."
Kushida: "Oh, I'm sorry for stopping you so suddenly, Ayanokouji-kun. I just have one quick question for you. Are you on good terms with Horikita-san?"
So it was about Suzune. Kushida sure was not subtle with her motive.
To be honest I was a little disappointed, since I thought she may ask me to hang out later.
Kiyotaka: "Well, I wouldn't say that we are on good terms, since we just met today. I guess we are just casual acquaintances, who are also seatmates. That's all. Do you want something from her?"
Kushida: "You see, I want to be friends with everyone. That's why I was asking for everyone's contact information. But Horikita-san turned me down."
So she wasn't actually close to Suzune, but somehow knew about her. Interesting.
Kushida: "I am worried about Horikita-san. She didn't become close with anyone yesterday and today she had that incident. That's why I was thinking that maybe you would help me get to know her better, Ayanokouji-kun."
Kiyotaka: "I don't want to disappoint you, but I just met her as well, so I don't know much about her."
Kushida: "Is that so? But Horikita-san took you with her during the lunch break and you two were talking with each other in the classroom. I thought you were her old friend, Ayanokouji-kun."
She sure was interested in Suzune. I wondered why.
Since I wasn't sure about Kushida's motives, I decided to play passive.
Kiyotaka: "I'm sorry, but I didn't know Horikita before today. She has rather cold personality. I don't think I could help you for now. Maybe later I will know more about her."
Kushida: "I see. I'm sorry for asking you such a weird question, Ayanokouji-kun. I hope you didn't mind me bothering you, when you are in hurry."
Kiyotaka: "Don't worry, Kushida. I don't mind. I hope you will become friends with Horikita soon."
Kushida: "Hehe, thank you, Ayanokouji-kun. You are a nice guy. I hope we will become good friends as well. Please invite me to hang out sometimes in the future."
Kiyotaka: "Of course, it will be my pleasure to invite you. Have a nice day, Kushida."
I smiled at her and left in the direction of Fuka's classroom.
I must say that Kushida was a good talker.
Despite not being forceful or aggressive, I could feel that she was leading our talk in her rhyme.
Her body language was also suggesting a deep worry and friendly motives.
Adding to that her cuteness and sex appeal, she sure made a deadly combo for any adolescent boy.
The only questionable thing was, if she was doing it subconsciously or not.
Her knowledge about Suzune was suspicious. Even more, since Kushida was definitely targeting her on some level.
Looks like Suzune had many secrets for me to discover.
And since Kushida was so interested in her, our ways will surely cross many times.
Let's use my lovely seatmate as bait to see how the cute angel will react to her.
Who knows, maybe I will fish more than I could imagine.

Chapter 14 - Fuka
Kiyotaka's POV
After leaving Kushida, I quickly walked in the direction of Fuka's classroom.
Many questions were bottling up inside of me.
What kind of class was Class B? How was their standing in the school? How much of S-System did they figure out at the moment? And why Fuka called them a friendship sect?
At the moment the most troublesome thing would be, if the other classes would treat me like an enemy from the start.
I saw the sign of the classroom of class 1-B in front of myself.
I decided to stand a little in front of the door to listen to the voices coming from the inside.
Girl 1: "Kiryuin-san, would you like to go with us to the karaoke? We would like to get to know you better, so we could be friends faster."
Girl 2: "Ichinose-san is right, Kiryuin-san. Please go with us. It's gonna be fun!"
Girl 3: "Oh, my heavens! You have so beautiful hair, Kiryuin-san! How do you usually take care of them?"
Girl 1: "Amikura-san, it's rude to touch someone's hair without permission."
Girl 3: "Hehe, I just couldn't help myself. They are so beautiful. Practically on the same level as yours, Ichinose-san."
Girl 1: "Ehh?! I-It's not true, Amikura-san. Mine are not as pretty as Kiryuin-san."
Girl 3: "There's no need to be so humble, Ichinose-san. You two are really the great beauties. I feel like my confidence as a girl is getting lower and lower, while looking at the two of you."
Girl 1: "Please don't say such stupid things, Amikura-san. I think you are a very pretty girl."
Fuka: "..."
...
I think I know the reason why Fuka have called me here.
Just from hearing the voices from the classroom, I could tell what kind of situation was in there.
The sweet aura of friendship and happiness was practically leaking from the door to the point of giving diabetes.
My stomach started to hurt just imagining the torture Fuka was going through right now.
If I were in her place, I'd probably run away at jet speed. Yet she was sitting there, probably waiting for me.
Poor thing.
But such people may not be bad to interact with, if you are not from the same class.
I could probably easily get some contacts with important students from here.
Later I could just start to befriend them individually, especially since the class competition would start next month.
Looks like this class would be easy to get along with and I didn't need to think of strategy to get information of them.
In other words, class 1-B wouldn't be high on my priority list to befriend at the moment.
Let's just save Fuka and get away from here.
I opened the door with a bit of strength.
Kiyotaka: "Fukaa! I have come to pick you up!"
Thanks to my big entrance, I got myself attention of all people in the classroom. As well as a total silence from all of them.
I went in fearlessly with a smile.
I spotted Fuka almost instantaneously.
She was sitting in the last seat in the middle row.
You'll also like
Her expression was telling me that she was annoyed because of attention she was getting from her classmates.
She was surrounded by 10 girls, who blocked her ways of escape from all angles.
Even Hirata wasn't that popular.
Near them, there were some boys, who were probably also part of the big group, but decided to not butt in to the girls talk.
In a way, they really looked like a religious sect trying to convert a new person to their religion.
Apart from Fuka, there was one girl that especially stood out in the crowd.
She had back-length, strawberry-blonde hair and blue eyes that resembled clear ocean.
But the most notable was her extremely well-endowed figure that could enchant any man. Especially that pair of tactical weapons of F-cup rank seemed nuke-like deadly for any male that was close enough to her.
She definitely matched Fuka in terms of looks. Both of them were really alluring and had their own unique charm.
Fuka: "Kiyotaka! You are finally here!"
Seeing myself, Fuka stormed the wall of her classmates with terrifying speed.
She had a huge smile, probably feeling relieved that she could finally escape from the conversion.
She made her way out to me and hugged my arm.
I could feel some pleasurable softness from her touch, especially from that twin peaks that she was pressing on me.
Her vision became somehow cheeky. She was probably trying to get me flustered with this.
I smiled at her, totally enjoying intimate action from this beautiful girl.
Fuka: "You are late for someone, who was supposed to be as fast as wind."
Kiyotaka: "Forgive me. I was stopped by a small matter on my way here."
Fuka: "Since you are late, your reward needs to be reevaluated now."
Kiyotaka: "I am having quite a reward right now, you know."
I made my body slightly apply pressure on her body. The feeling of softness increased greatly.
I could see some redness on Fuka's face. How cute.
Fuka: "You sure are shameless, Kiyotaka. If you came a little faster, even greater reward would be awaiting you. Too bad."
She licked her lips slightly with teasing expression.
Damn you, Kushida.
I will remember this debt and get you to pay it back with interest in the future. Just you wait.
Kiyotaka: "How cruel of you to treat a wounded person like that, Fuka."
I showed her my bandaged hand.
Fuka's expression darkened a little.
Fuka: "What happened?" She asked in serious tone.
I didn't expect this much change from her.
Looks like I triggered something bad from her memory.
She probably thought that it was Nagumo, who attacked me.
Kiyotaka: "Don't worry. It's nothing much. I have a crazy seatmate, whose primary weapon is a compass, that's all. I already dealt with her."
Her expression returned to normal by my words.
Fuka: "I see. You sure are unlucky, Kiyotaka."
Kiyotaka: "Not as much as you. That girl asked me to said her condolences to you for interacting with me. She said that you must have fallen really low to do that."
Fuka: "Hoh? She sure have guts. I guess I should meet this friendly soul tomorrow to thank her for her kind words."
Kiyotaka: "I don't mind. I bet Suzune will be happy to have one more friend."
Fuka: "Suzune? You guys are already using first names? You sure work fast, Kiyotaka. The more reason to meet this girl, I guess."
Kiyotaka: "That's because she is Horikita-senpai's sister. Her brother found us in.. well, peculiar situation and decided to give us his blessing, so things went forward quite a bit."
Fuka: "That stiff guy did it? Just what the hell happened, while I took my eyes off you?"
Kiyotaka: "I think we should talk about it in more private place, since your classmates are watching us carefully by some time already."
Fuka turned around to face her classmates, who were watching us stiffly.
No one said a word and there was a strange silence in the classroom.
I could tell that some boys were glaring at me, because of my closeness with Fuka.
Although I wanted to enjoy this feeling more, I needed to make a good first impression in order to befriend this class to some level.
I reluctantly left Fuka's side and greeted with her classmates.
Kiyotaka: "Nice to meet you. I am Ayanokouji Kiyotaka from the class 1-D. I came to pick Fuka up. I hope I am not a bother."
I decided to go with 'I am your friendly neighbor' approach, which was the most suitable against people like them.
F-Cup Girl: "Ah! No, no. You are not a bother at all, Ayanokouji-kun. I am Ichinose Honami, Kiryuin-san's classmate. Pleased to meet you too"
Ichinose became a little flustered and quickly bowed a little to me alongside her introduction.
Despite her small movement, her chest made some huge waves, which made my blood pressure rise a bit.
The other girls were actually more timid than Ichinose and took a step behind her, while introducing themselves.
Cute girl with ponytail: "I am Amikura Mako. Nice to meet you, Ayanokouji-kun."
Shy girl with short hair: "S-Shiranami Chihiro."
Athletic, tall girl: "Andou Sayo."
Bun-bun girl: "Minamikata Kozue."
...
10 girls introduced themselves to me one after another. Most of them were rather reserved and shy.
From what I saw, Ichinose was considered a leader of them. Or at least a representative.
Kiyotaka: "It's a pleasure to meet you all."
I pulled my best smile at Ichinose and by extension at the rest of her group, petrifying some of the girls as a result. Ichinose withstood my smile, but I could see some red shade on her cheeks.
Fuka: "Be careful, girls. This fellow is a total womanizer."
Kiyotaka: "How could you speak such obvious lie like that, Fuka? I am a perfect gentleman."
Fuka: "I am just warning my sheep-like classmates from a big, bad wolf, Kiyotaka."
Kiyotaka: "I wonder. How about you try to play a sheep and see, if a big, bad wolf will gnaw his teeth into you?"
Fuka: "I don't like playing a sheep, Kiyotaka. I am more of carnivorous type."
Kiyotaka: "Some predators are nothing more than a prey for stronger predators, Fuka. A big, bad wolf may turn out to be something bigger in wolf's clothing that will devour even the fiercest lioness."
Fuka: "Haha, how bold of you. I look forward to see what exactly is under this wolf's clothing."
Kiyotaka: "You are always welcome to come to the wolf's den."
Fuka: "I am still waiting for a certain King Kong to come to my floor."
Kiyotaka: "Then be prepared, since you don't know the day or the hour."
While we had a small bickering with each other, the others were looking weirdly at us while listening to our conversation.
Ichinose: "Y-You two seems really close to each other. Are you perhaps dating?"
Kiyotaka&Fuka: "No."
Ichinose: "E-Ehh?! You are not?!"
Kiyotaka: "Yes, we are not in the relationship."
Fuka: "Why would you say something like that, Ichinose?"
Ichinose: "W-Well..."
Looks like our conversation was a little too wild for the others.
Ichinose stuttered, not knowing what to say to us.
That fidgeting of hers sure was cute.
I had a feeling that she would be a target of constant teasing. At least from me.
She was a woman that a man would like to protect and tease at the same time.
Kiyotaka: "I won't be bothering you guys anymore. I hope we will get along in the future, Ichinose."
Since I managed to introduce myself, I decided to leave before their impression of me will drop.
Kiyotaka: "Shall we go, Fuka?"
Fuka: "Yeah. Let's have some fun."
Ichinose: "Wait!"
Ichinose decided to stop us for some reason.
Ichinose: "Kiryuin-san, how about our offer to go to the karaoke? We would like to know you better as classmate. If you don't have any specific plans, I would like to invite you as well as Ayanokouji-kun. Will that be okay with you guys?"
Ichinose smiled, while radiating some sweetness.
She totally didn't mind to invite a stranger from another class.
I guess some part of the friendliness of this class came from Ichinose's mindset.
Her demeanor was just like Kushida's.
She already became the key person of her class, maybe even the class leader.
She must be popular with girls as well as boys.
Her smile probably captured many hearts by now.
I must say that, if it was just my decision and I didn't witness that torture scene, I would probably go without even thinking.
I looked at Fuka and our eyes met. I understood the meaning of her vision.
No way.
Kiyotaka: "I apologize to you, Ichinose, but we have plans for today. My friend's birthday is tomorrow, so I was planning to buy something for him today. I kinda hoped that Fuka would help me choose something up. So maybe the next time."
Ichinose: "Oh, I see. Then it can't be helped. I hope you will find something nice, Ayanokouji-kun."
Ichinose looked a little down by my refusal, but she couldn't demand more from us after my explanation.
I wasn't actually lying to her. Rokusuke's birthday will be tomorrow, so I needed to buy him something.
Of course, that guy would only be happy by presents from the girls, but he still was tactful enough to give me something on my birthday too. Though most things from him were just weird.
I left the classroom alongside Fuka, who seemed happy for some reason.
Kiyotaka: "What's up?"
Fuka: "Nothing. I just thought that you may give in to Ichinose's cuteness and would actually agree to her invitation. That look on her face made me think that she rarely got refusal."
Kiyotaka: "Yeah, she sure is cute, when she's confused or embarrassed. Teasing her will be a lot of fun. She will most probably be one of the most popular girls in our year, if not the most popular."
Fuka: "How honest of you, Kiyotaka."
Kiyotaka: "I admit that some part of me wanted to go with them. But not because of Ichinose, but because I plan to make some connections with all the other classes in this month before the class competition will become official."
Fuka: "Ohh? Why?"
Kiyotaka: "I concluded that it would be benefical to me in the long run. Horikita Manabu decided to make me the second Vice-President of Student Council. Which means that I will officially become Nagumo's biggest enemy."
Fuka went a little stiff after my announcement. Her face was painted with surprise.
Fuka: "I thought that you were actually joking back then. And Horikita-senpai didn't seem like someone, who would do something this radical, especially so soon. You mentioned that his sister is your seatmate. Just what happened?"
I told Fuka almost everything that happened today to me.
My meeting with classmates.
My acting as ghost and Suzune's fainting.
My fight with Suzune with unexpected finale.
And my talk with Horikita-senpai afterwards.
The only things that I decided to omit were that I controlled the outcome of the match and my bet with Suzune.
Even if Fuka was so open minded, I did not want to test her limits at the moment.
Fuka: "I see. I don't know, if I should call you lucky or not."
Kiyotaka: "Well, it depends on how Suzune will treat me in the future."
Fuka: "I will pay you visit tomorrow on the lunch break. I would like to thank her for her honest condolences."
Kiyotaka: "I see. I look forward to it."
Fuka: "So? How was the taste of her lips?"
I went stiff a little. This question was somehow dangerous.
Kiyotaka: "Well, it wasn't bad. It was an accident, so I wasn't exactly focusing on it, since we were falling into the ground. And my hand hurt from being stabbed, so it wasn't as enjoyable as it could be."
Fuka: "I see. Too bad for you, Kiyotaka."
I wasn't sure, if she bought it, but I should be safe for now. Probably.
Kiyotaka: "More importantly, what do you think about joining Student Council? We could join it together."
Fuka became silent for a while. I guess she was contemplating the pros and cons of it.
Fuka: "I have already thought about that and I am going to pass. Spending more time with you would be enjoyable, but being in the same place with Nagumo would ruin most of the fun from it. Since he was Vice-President, he could order me around because his status would be higher and I wouldn't survive that."
Kiyotaka: "I see. I thought that you would refuse, but decided to at least ask you to be sure. It's too bad, but having such beautiful secretary would be distracting as hell."
Fuka: "That's your first thought? Having such pervert as a boss will surely be troublesome for a girl, who will become your secretary."
Kiyotaka: "Today's world sure is falling to the doom if an honest individual like me is considered a pervert. The world peace is crumbling every day because of accusations like this."
Fuka: "Yeah, yeah. Thinking of the world peace every day must be tiresome, Kiyotaka. You have my condolences."
We left the school building and went in the direction of the shop district.
Kiyotaka: "Where are we going? Do you have some plan?"
Fuka: "I actually know about one place not too far from the school. We can go there and then made some plans for later."
Kiyotaka: "Sure."
We went to the place called Keyaki Mall and found a fancy cafeteria there called Palate.
This cafe was really packed, which would suggest that it's really popular among the students.
The thing that caught my eye the most was that practically all of the customers were girls.
We somehow got lucky and found a table to sit, then we placed our orders.
I looked around. I got a feeling that I was a little out of place here.
Until I spotted a certain blonde narcissist with the accommodation of some girls.
Rokusuke spotted me practically a moment later.
After he took a look at Fuka, he nodded his head approvingly with a smirk on his face.
I looked at his entourage, then I smirked at him victoriously, since no one from his table was as pretty as Fuka.
He understood my meaning and said something to one of the girls. Then that girl happily took some of her cake and fed it to him.
He looked at me provocatively, while enjoying his cake.
Damn it. Just you wait, you bastard.
Fuka: "Do you know that guy?"
Kiyotaka: "Yes. He is my friend, who will have birthday tomorrow. I need to find something for him in this mall. I hope you will help me a little."
Fuka: "You are actually a friend with that narcissist Koenji? You sure have weird taste in making friends, Kiyotaka."
Kiyotaka: "So you know him too?"
Fuka: "We met a few times at some boring banquets. I thought he was interesting at first, but quickly lost interest in him. He even hit on me once. At that time I got a huge headache after hearing him spouting all that ' perfect human' stuff."
Kiyotaka: "Well, Rokusuke sure is not easy partner for talk, but he is not a bad guy, if you manage to grasp some of his mechanics. Will you help me pick up something for him?"
Fuka: "I guess I will help you. Since you are so serious about a present for that annoying guy, I can't help but look forward to what you will give me."
Kiyotaka: "Could it be that your birthday is also tomorrow?"
Fuka: "No, you have more time. It's on April 10th."
Kiyotaka: "I see. Quite a challenge, indeed."
Fuka: "What about yours?"
Kiyotaka: "October 20th."
Fuka: "More than half of year from now? It's too bad for you, Kiyotaka. I would be prepared even if you said that it's today. The long ribbon is all I need."
Kiyotaka: "Really? And what would you do with this ribbon?"
Fuka: "Haha, who knows?"
Why I couldn't be born faster? It's all that man's fault.
Kiyotaka: "Now that I look around, you sure choose a fancy place for a talk. This cafe feels like girls-only area."
Fuka: "Actually I am here for the first time. I just heard some girls in the class talking about this place, so I decided to check it with you."
Kiyotaka: "I see. You didn't want to accompany them here, since they would invite you again."
Fuka: "You are right. The atmosphere in the class is suffocating for me. I understand that everything is new and they want to make some friends, but I just couldn't get myself into the mood for them. Most of my classmates are so boring."
Kiyotaka: "I understand that feeling. There is a guy in my class, Hirata, who was surrounded by girls all the time. They were looking at him with thirst without even knowing him much. I would have a headache after just one day of that."
Fuka: "And I thought that a womanizer like you would live a dream life in such environment."
Kiyotaka: "I dislike having attention because of some delusions made from looks or status. I don't need such popularity. I don't mind having a peaceful life at the lower place of the social food chain, if there was no need to achieve more."
Fuka: "Won't that be troublesome for you, though? I feel like you are actually quite ambitious."
Kiyotaka: "Not at all. It's just a social ladder. I just need to make those, who are at the peak of the society, to recognize me and my true worth. As long as I get into favorable position for myself, the rest is not important."
Fuka: "I see. Officially just a mediocre person for the masses, actually a genius recognized by the elites."
Kiyotaka: "Something like that."
The waiter came with our order.
I looked at the piece of sponge cake that Fuka ordered with some anticipation.
Fuka: "So, what are your plans after this? Do you have any idea what you want to buy for the birthday present?"
Fuka, as if unaware of my anticipation, started to enjoy the cake by herself.
Kiyotaka: "..."
My mouth twitched a little, especially since I could feel Rokusuke's vision on me after the waiter left our table.
His grinning was growing wider and wider after seeing my failure in achieving his level of closeness with a girl.
Fuka: "Pfff, hahaha. You sure look miserable right now, Kiyotaka. I was just teasing you. As if I would let that gorilla win against you."
She took her spoon and gave me a bit of her cake on it.
The taste of cake wasn't bad, but combined with the feeling of victory against Rokusuke and the awareness that this was practically indirect kiss with Fuka increased its flavor to the pinnacle.
I looked at Rokusuke with big grin.
He was still smiling, but his smile decreased by huge margin.
Fuka: "It seems like he won't admit defeat easily. But I am not done yet."
Kiyotaka: "Huh?"
Before I grasped what she meant by that, she leaned forward and kissed my cheek.
My face started to heat up a little.
I didn't think that she would be this aggressive in the place full of people.
Some people saw this scene and their eyes widen in surprise.
I could see several guys glaring at me, as if I was their parents killer.
After two seconds Fuka stopped and made some distance between us.
Fuka: "With this, we won."
She giggled shyly, while her face became bright red.
This visual assault made my face even more heated.
I could feel my heart sped up slightly.
Rokusuke's smile became more forced than natural, which in his case was practically the same as admitting defeat.
He stopped paying attention to us and focused on his girls.
Kiyotaka: "Indeed, we won."
I was still a little shaken by what just happened.
This girl really took me by surprise with her boldness.
I looked at her red face and smiled.
Kiyotaka: "It's really rare for Rokusuke to have some sourness on his face. It seems like I am indebted to you now, Fuka."
Fuka: "You sure are. A kiss from a maiden like me is expensive."
Kiyotaka: "Can I pay you back with my body?"
Fuka: "You are such a scum, Kiyotaka. I expected more from you."
Kiyotaka: "And I will surely do that, Fuka. Do not think I will let you off from now on."
Fuka: "The big, bad wolf finally showed his true colors. How scary."
Kiyotaka: "My dear little sheep. Your fate is already sealed."
Fuka: "We shall see, Kiyotaka. Good luck."
We spent some quality time in the cafe and then we left looking for some present for Rokusuke.
Keyaki Mall sure was a huge place with many different shops.
I was surprised by the amount of things that were for sale and the variety of them.
My time there together with Fuka was really fun.
I found out that she actually lacked some shopping experience.
She probably didn't have much of freedom at home to just do whatever she wanted.
I heard that Kiryuin Family was rather strict and old-fashioned family.
Having Nagumo as fiancee despite Fuka's dislike for him was a perfect example of that.
It's actually a wonder how did she managed to have such character despite such environment. But I was thankful to the world for her being the way she was.
I noted everything in my brain that she was interested in to have a good sense in her tastes.
Her birthday was practically after one week, so I needed to prepare something great.
In the meantime, after going through different places, I finally decided to buy Rokusuke a fancy hand mirror, so he could take a good look at himself in the good quality.
Fuka was laughing heartily at my choice, but she agreed that there would be no better present for the narcissist.
Satisfied, we left Keyaki Mall and leisurely walked towards the dormitory.
We were not aware that in the meantime of our walk, the huge news started to circulate around the second and the third year students:
Student Council Vice-President Nagumo Miyabi for the unknown reason was officially suspended by the school for two weeks.

Chapter 15 - The Affairs Of Class A
Kiyotaka's POV
After coming back from our shopping, I bid farewell with Fuka in the dormitory and went back to my room.
To be honest, I thought about inviting her for a dinner, but I already made a promise with Masumi, so it would be slightly inconvenient to have them both in my room without a proper reason.
Although Fuka would probably not mind, I wouldn't be so sure about Masumi.
That girl was rather a loner type, though she wasn't shy and knew how to talk.
She was harsh with her words, but she also had a caring side.
Ring, ring..
It was a phone call from Masumi. What a great timing.
Kiyotaka: "Hello there, Masumi. I missed you."
Masumi: "..."
Kiyotaka: "Are you there, Masumi?"
Masumi: "I am. I am having a huge headache for the entire day and your teasing just made it worse."
Kiyotaka: "Did something happen to you? Also, I only spoke the truth. I really did miss you."
Masumi: "(Sigh).. Let's get to the point. Did you eat a dinner already?"
Kiyotaka: "No."
Masumi: "Since your hand was wounded, you will probably have a trouble making a dinner today, right? Then why don't we go somewhere outside? I found some place that I wanted you to see."
...
Is this what I think it is?
Kiyotaka: "A dat.."
Masumi: "IT'S NOT A DATE!"
Kiyotaka: "Eh? It's not?"
Masumi: "Of course, it's not! I just thought that it would be hard for you to make a dinner today, so I invited you to pay you back for the yesterday's dinner that you made for the both of us. That's all!"
That's all?
This girl seriously doesn't understand just how adorable she was.
Kiyotaka: "So you got worried about me?..(chuckle).. That's so cute, Masumi. Thank you."
Masumi: "It's not like that! It's only to pay you back for yesterday. It's not like I was worried about you or anything, you idiot!"
Kiyotaka: "And with the catchphrase of the legitimate tsundere, you just got cuter."
Masumi: "I am ending the call."
Kiyotaka: "Come on. You can't just act cute and expect me to stay silent about it."
Masumi: "Are you going or not?"
Kiyotaka: "Of course, I am going."
Masumi: "Then let's meet before our dorm in thirty minutes."
Kiyotaka: "Okay, I will be there."
Masumi: "Good. See you."
Kiyotaka: "See you. And, Masumi.."
Masumi: "What?"
Kiyotaka: "I am looking forward to our date."
Masumi: "IT'S NOT A DATE, YOU IDIOT!"
With a loud roar, Masumi ended our call.
This girl's caring side was so adorable.
Even if she was denying it, there was no way she would invite me, if she wasn't a little bit worried about me.

I must thank Suzune later for stabbing me.
In a good mood I prepared myself for a date with Masumi.
I wore a shirt and a jeans and put on some perfume from Christine.
According to that vixen, my body fragrance was quite attractive for women, so putting a little of perfume to match up my own smell would be a critical hit even for not so sensitive nose.
After dressing myself up, I left my room and went down by the staircase.
I entered the dorm's lobby and spotted a familiar figure there.
Matsushita Chiaki.
The girl from my class that I had a small talk with before the lessons and somehow managed to get her phone number, mainly thanks to Kushida.
Looks like she was waiting for someone and was playing with her phone to kill some time.
Although I didn't have much time, I decided to greet her.
She was a great beauty and my new friend.
I also needed to start looking for someone, who would represent my interests in the class.
She was one of the candidates, so my attention to her was by no means small.
Just when I started to direct my steps towards her, Matsushita spotted me as well.
I waved to her and came close to talk.
Matsushita secretly checked me up and down several times, probably judging my appearance.
Inferring from her body movement as well as her nose slight reaction, she liked my appearance and fragrance.
Kiyotaka: "Hello, Matsushita. What a coincidence to meet you here. Are you waiting for someone?"
Matsushita: "Hello, Ayanokouji-kun. Quite a coincidence, indeed. I am waiting for a friend. We are going to do some shopping in the Keyaki Mall."
Kiyotaka: "Oh, I was there today. It's really a good place to look for some things."
Matsushita: "We were there yesterday with more people and bought some clothes already. But that place was so big that we didn't have time to explore everything, so today we are going to the different shops."
Kiyotaka: "I see."
Matsushita: "What about you, Ayanokouji-kun?"
Kiyotaka: "I am having a dinner with a friend. We agreed to meet before the dormitory."
Matsushita: "Could it be that your friend is a girl?"
Kiyotaka: "Indeed, she is a girl."
Matsushita: "Oh my. So you are going on a date on your second day in the school? You are quite good, Ayanokouji-kun."
I wondered how she would react, if I told her that this would be my second appointment today.
Kiyotaka: "It's not a date. I hurt my hand in the school, so it would be troublesome for me to cook a dinner, so my friend invited me out for a place that she wanted to check out."
This wounded hand excuse sure is easy to use.
Matsushita: "I did notice that it was bandaged after the lunch break. Now that I think about, what happened back there? Horikita-san suddenly came to the classroom and took you with her. Did you two have a fight?"
So Matsushita was an observant one. And her intuition was also quite good.
But I had more than enough time to think about excuse for that.
Kiyotaka: "No, it's nothing like that. I am a friend of her older brother, who is also a student here. She didn't want her brother to know about her collapsing and took me with her to ask me to not tell him about that. I hurt my hand, when I was going back from our talk because of my imprudence."
Matsushita: "I see. So you and Horikita-san are actually friends? That's kinda surprising."
Kiyotaka: "More like she is a sister of my friend, so we know each other in passing."
Matsushita: "Could it be that the one you will have a dinner with is Horikita-san?"
Kiyotaka: "No, Imoutokita doesn't like me much."
Matsushita: "Haha, you are funny, Ayanokouji-kun."
She laughed a little. Her beautiful voice made her laughing especially pleasant to the ear.
Kiyotaka: "Thank you. By the way Matsushita, a little birdie told me that tomorrow there will be the student club affair after the classes. Are you interested in joining some club, for example the Music Club?"
Matsushita: "Really? Well, I will certainly go to see it, but I don't know, if I would join any club."
Kiyotaka: "Is that so? It's too bad. I wanted to hear your violin play."
Matsushita: "I am not that great at it, Ayanokouji-kun. There is no need to feel down. What about you? Are you going to join the Music Club?"
Kiyotaka: "Well, if you are not going to join the Music Club, then my interest in it just decreased a lot."
Matsushita: "Huh? What do you mean by that, Ayanokouji-kun?"
Kiyotaka: "I am saying that, if you are not going to be there, I am not interested in joining it, Matsushita."
Matsushita: "..."
Matsushita looked stunned by my sudden declaration.
Matsushita: "A-And what do you mean by that?"
Kiyotaka: "It always feel better to join some club with a friend, don't you think? So I thought it would be nice to be able to play music with you, Matsushita."
Matsushita: "A-Ahaha, so that's what you mean. Well, I didn't give a thought about it. I never was a part of some club before."
Kiyotaka: "I see. Please think about it. Seeing how this school treats its students, there may be many benefits from joining in. Like extra cash or something."
Matsushita: "We are already getting 100000 yen per month and you still want more? Aren't you a greedy one, Ayanokouji-kun? Or are you a big spender?"
Kiyotaka: "Is that so? Did Chabashira-sensei told our class that we will be getting 100000 yen each month? She didn't mention that, when she was explaining things to me."
I decided to drop a small hint for Matsushita as an experiment to see a reaction from the Class D student.
She seemed like a curious and observant girl.
If she was intelligent enough to remember specific points of Sae-sensei speech from yesterday, she should figure out that I didn't speak nonsense just now.
Matsushita: "Huh? What are you talking about, Ayanokouji-kun? She didn't tell you about getting 100000 points each month?"
Kiyotaka: "She did tell me that the school would give us 100000 points this month, but I don't think she said anything about getting this much in the next months. But since she told our class about it, then I'm sure it's just some misunderstanding. Maybe she forgot to mention that and I didn't ask as well."
Matsushita: "Oh, you made me worried for nothing. It's probably just misunderstanding. I remember how everyone including myself were so shocked and happy, when Chabashira-sensei said that we will be getting.. 100000 yen.. this month.."
Matsushita's voice became quieter and quieter until she stopped speaking at all.
Looks like her brain started to register irregularity in Sae-sensei's words.
Kiyotaka: "Thank you for telling me about this, Matsushita. I was planning to save some points just in case, but looks like it won't be needed anymore."
I played being convinced by her words.
Matsushita looked thoughtful, probably trying to remember, when the promise about our future income had been said.
I smiled internally, while looking at her.
The seed of doubt has been planted.
Matsushita passed my test.
I needed to make her realize more while not giving myself out.
It would be quite nice if just this much would make our classmates figure out some things, but I wasn't impatient.
Information about the S-System and the ability to figure it out were going to be my currency to buy out someone from the class.
Just having attention after the announcement of my position as the second Student Council Vice-President would be enough for me.
So I needed someone, who would be willing to work for me and manage our class, while I would be staying aside.
The best one would be someone, who I could blackmail, so he or she would not betray me.
But the chances to get someone like that were slim.
It would be really a lucky stroke to find someone like that in a short amount of time.
So my second best shot would be someone intelligent enough to see that working with me on my rules would be beneficial for everyone.
But to find someone like that I needed to use provocations with the small amount of information to make people suspiscious about the school.
Matsushita passed the stage of becoming suspicious.
The next step was to see what she would do about this on her own.
?: "Matsushita-san! I am sorry for making you wait."
Looks like Matsushita's friend was here.
A good timing.
Matsushita won't be able to digest this information and the credibility of it by herself just because I talked about it to her.
Either she will let it go, thinking that it was really a coincidence, or she will start to investigate using her own means.
I looked forward to see how much this seed will sprout.
Matsushita: "O-Oh, don't worry, Satou-san. You are on time."
Her friend's voice snapped Matsushita out of her reverie.
I turned around.
The owner of the voice was a blue-eyes girl of average height with upper-back length brown hair that has bangs hanging on the left side.
I recognized her.
Although she wasn't on Matsushita's level, she was also one of the prettier girls from my class.
The girl looked at me, her eyes flashed slightly.
Then she turned her vision to Matsushita with a teasing grin on her face.
Satou: "Maybe I should have come a little later."
Matsushita: "N-No! It's not like that, Satou-san. I just coincidentally met Ayanokouji-kun a few minutes ago and we started talking, while waiting."
Matsushita blushed a little while waving her hands frantically in denial of Satou's assumption.
Her flushed face was cute.
Satou: "Reallyyy? It's suspiscious."
Looks like Satou didn't want to let off Matsushita so easily.
I decided to lend my friend a hand.
Kiyotaka: "Nice to meet you. I am Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. We are from the same class, aren't we? I recognize you from the classroom."
Now it was Satou's turn to become flustered.
She probably didn't expect me to recognize her.
Satou: "Y-Yes, we are. I am Satou Maya. Nice to meet you, Ayanokouji-kun."
She answered me with a shy smile.
Despite her teasing of Matsushita, Satou couldn't muster that much boldness while interacting with me.
Kiyotaka: "You must be a friend that Matsushita was talking about. I also came here in order to wait for my friend and I spotted Matsushita, so I decided to say hello."
Matsushita: "Yes, we were just passing some time while waiting, Satou-san. It's not what you are thinking."
Satou: "II see. That's good."
Kiyotaka: "That's good?"
Satou: "II mean.. That's good that I didn't interrupt you two in something. Hahaha.."
She let a weird laugh, probably from embarrassment.
Matsushita looked at her with some suspicious.
Kiyotaka: "I heard that you two are planning to go for some shopping. Maybe you will tell me later about some interesting shops in the area. It's always better to have some recommendations for the future."
Matsushita: "Sure, I don't mind. Let's exchange some information later."
Satou: "Do you like shopping, Ayanokouji-kun?"
Kiyotaka: "No, but I just heard from Matsushita that we are going to earn 100,000 per month, so my finance plan may undergo some big changes."
Satou: "What do you mean by that? Did you not get 100000 points this month, Ayanokouji-kun?"
Kiyotaka: "No, I got the same amount as everyone. Chabashira-sensei said that it was for the merit of becoming a student here."
Matsushita: "..."
Satou: "This school is totally awesome to give us so much money every month. I was a little stressed at the beginning, but now I am really excited about the school life here. It's like a paradise."
Matsushita: "Satou-san, do you remember Chabashira-sensei's speech yesterday? Did she say that we are going to get 100000 points each month?"
Satou: "Eh? Why would you ask about that, Matsushita-san? Well, to be honest I didn't really listen to her after hearing about the points, but it's pretty obvious that we would get as much, isn't it ? Otherwise Chabashira-sensei would say it to us."
Looks like Satou didn't figure out much from our exchange.
She believed firmly that everything was okay, because the teacher would explain it to the students otherwise.
In opposition to her, I could see that Matsushita started to have even more doubt after my slight push on the topic.
Matsushita: "That's true. I'm sorry for asking about something weird. I think we should go now, otherwise we would not check up everything that we planned today."
Satou: "You are right, Matsushita-san. Let's go. See you tomorrow in the school, Ayanokouji-kun."
Kiyotaka: "I hope you two will have a successful shopping. See you later."
Matsushita: "Thank you. Goodbye, Ayanokouji-kun."
Kiyotaka: "Goodbye, Matsushita. Have a nice day."
Matsushita and Satou left me, while waving to me for a few moments.
Before they exited the dorm, Matsushita for the one last time looked in my direction.
It was not a vision to check me up.
It was because she started to become suspicious of me and of what I said.
My intuition was telling me that she would be worth my time.
The only thing that worried me was that I couldn't figure out Matsushita's defect.
She was smart, observant, charming, open-minded.
Just like me.
Yet, she was placed in the Class D by the school.
I thought that the reason my classmates were placed in the worst class was, apart from being literally the worst students of the bunch, because of their personality problems.
Like Rokusuke's narcissism or Suzune's coldness and aggressiveness.
But I didn't think this rule applied to Matsushita.
There may be some other factors, like perhaps a bad past or some trauma.
If only I could find some useful information.
My best shot right now would be to hack into the school database and read students files.
But it would take a lot of time by myself.
I suddenly thought about the other hacker that I met yesterday.
If I teamed up with WinterDrop, things may go faster.
Maybe I should propose some teamwork the next time we met.
Masumi: "Kiyotaka!"
I heard Masumi's voice and turned around.
My vision became sharper in instant after laying my eyes on the beauty before me.
Masumi was in the casual clothes consisting of a light beige shirt and a brown knee-length skirt.
It was really a lovely sight to behold.
Kiyotaka: "You look great, Masumi. Those clothes really suits you."
Masumi looked slightly embarrassed by my comment.
Her eyes turned away from me for a moment.
Masumi: "It's just the casual clothes. Don't overreact like that."
Kiyotaka: "Even the casual clothes may look great, when the one wearing them is as beautiful as you."
Masumi: "Stop being a flatterer and let's go."
Kiyotaka: "It won't hurt you to sometimes take an honest praise without being sarcastic."
Masumi: "You are such a headache. Okay, okay. Thank you very much for your praise. Satisfied?"
Kiyotaka: "Not really, but I guess I will let you off for now. You must be really tired mentally to actually just go with the flow without much of resistance. Are you okay, Masumi?"
Masumi: "It was really a tiring day. My classmates are just a bunch of weirdos and perverts."
Kiyotaka: "That's really a surprising comment about supposedly the best class in our year. Why do you think so?"
Masumi: "I don't want to talk about it for now. Let's head out."
Kiyotaka: "Okay. But where are we going?"
Masumi: "I found out some place today. A restaurant with rather small popularity. I think it's a place more for workers and teachers than students, but I could also enter that place and order something."
Kiyotaka: "That's interesting. Is there some particular reason you wanted me to go there with you?"
Masumi: "The place looked decent, though it seemed like it lacked customers. I wanted to check it up by myself today, but then I thought of you."
Kiyotaka: "And since you were worried that I wouldn't be able to make something to eat, you invited me out so we could go together. That's really nice of you, Masumi."
Masumi: "I wasn't worried about you! Like I said earlier, I just wanted to pay you back for yesterday. And I thought you would be interested in the place like that one."
Kiyotaka: "What do you mean by that?"
Masumi: "I thought that you would like a quiet place with less people around, since you said that you didn't like attention."
Kiyotaka: "..."
Masumi: "W-What?"
Kiyotaka: "Masumi, do you think they are selling the wedding rings here? I think I will need one soon."
Masumi stopped for immediately and looked at me with stunned expression before exploding with fierce redness.
Masumi: "W-What the hell are you talking about?! Of course they aren't selling something like that here! And even if they are, I wouldn't agree to that!"
Kiyotaka: "I never said that it was for you, Masumi. Why did you already jump into such conclusion?"
Masumi: "You... Stop teasing me already!"
Kiyotaka: "But it's so entertaining seeing your flustered face, Masumi. Say, did you imagine yourself as my bride for a second?"
Masumi: "O-Of course not!"
Kiyotaka: "Why did you stutter just now?"
Masumi: "Shut up! I didn't! I wouldn't marry a pervert like you!"
Kiyotaka: "For now maybe not, Masumi. But we don't know what will happen in the future."
Masumi: "It won't ever happen!"
I chuckled while looking at the pretty girl with a burning face.
This bickering was different from the ones I had with Fuka.
With the platinum-haired beauty, our talks were more like a fight to dominate the other side, while deepening the bond between us.
Masumi was different.
She was so cute while being flustered that I just couldn't help myself but to tease her.
Masumi: "W-What?"
Kiyotaka: "Nothing. Let's go to that restaurant."
Masumi: "Then stop looking at me like that!"
We walked for some time before we saw a small restaurant on the sidelines of the school grounds.
Indeed, the localization of this place was not the greatest.
But if the most of the customers were supposed to be adults, then the marketing of this place was not that important.
We entered the restaurant.
There were no other customers inside.
We sat on the table near a window and waited for a waiter.
Kiyotaka: "This place is really not bad, Masumi. Though it's localization is a little far from the main road to the school, so the students wouldn't find it easily. How did you ever find it?"
Masumi: "I managed to find it, when I tried to not tag along with my classmates and escaped."
Kiyotaka: "So I guess you didn't make any friends today, did you?"
Masumi: "It's not like I wanted some to begin with. They were annoying as hell, especially that fufuing loli."
Kiyotaka: "Fufuing loli?"
Masumi: "Sakayanagi Arisu. Probably a relative of the Chairman. She is crippled and needs to walk with a cane. She is the loli that looks like a doll and has a weird laugh like 'fufufu' or something. It's seriously creepy."
Kiyotaka: "Chairman Sakayanagi did mention to me that he have a daughter in your class. But this description of yours is kinda weird. Why did she annoy you?"
Masumi looked at me for a second and then she sighed.
Masumi: "I guess there's no harm in telling you. You were right about the S-System, Kiyotaka. Our class started to gather information about it. The ones, who made our class aware about some irregularities in the school were a baldie called Katsuragi and Sakayanagi."
Kiyotaka: "Oh, already? They must be not bad to figure out things like that so soon."
Masumi: "It's not as definitive as your explanation, but both of them were starting to say things similar to what you said to me about our income and about the merit of the students."
Kiyotaka: "I see. That's a good start for your class. You should be happy."
Masumi: "It would be not bad, but both of them declared that they want to lead our class. Because of that, two groups started to form around those two."
Kiyotaka: "That's a little bad. Couldn't they just work together?"
Masumi: "Apparently their ideologies were so different that they just treat each other as enemies. I am not sure about the details, since I wasn't in the classroom yesterday."
Kiyotaka: "So Sakayanagi tried to recruit you and you got annoyed?"
Masumi: "Actually both of them tried. But the loli was just too creepy. 'Fufufu, why were you absent yesterday, Kamuro-san? We were so worried about you'. 'Fufufu, Kamuro-san, you don't need to be so angry, I am just trying to be friends with you'. 'Fufufu, I hope you will not go to Katsuragi-kun's side, it would be a waste of your time'. Arrgghh.. I'm telling you, it was so annoying."
Kiyotaka: "I don't know about Sakayanagi, but your 'fufufu' was so cute, Masumi. How about you make that laughing your own from now on?"
Masumi: "I would rather die than make a duo with that loli!"
Kiyotaka: "I see. That's too bad."
Masumi glared at me with huge intensity. Looks like she really dislike the thought of it.
Kiyotaka: "So.. Did those two find out about the hidden cameras in the classroom and the motivation of them being hidden?"
Masumi: "So you found out about that as well. I am not even surprised by that, since I found them as well. But they didn't say much about why they were hidden from us. Only to be careful about our behaviour, since we were being recorded by the school."
Kiyotaka: "That's a good advise. My class behavior was problematic at least, yet the teachers didn't say anythink about that. I think they will punish the problematic students or the entire class at the end of the month."
Masumi: "I see. That theory seems plausible. My classmates were behaving rather good, so the loli and the baldie couldn't figure it out yet. Though there are certain perverts that should be punished already!"
Kiyotaka: "Perverts? Did someone harass you, Masumi? Just give me their names and I will take care of them."
Masumi: "..."
Kiyotaka: "Why are you looking so weirdly at me?"
Masumi: "I wonder how much you will be punished, Kiyotaka."
Kiyotaka: "Me? Why an honest gentleman like me would be punished?"
Masumi: "Didn't you text me that someone from your class bullied you? Wasn't it actually you, who bullied someone and that person attacked you for revenge?"
This girl was sharp.
Or rather her intuition was good.
Kiyotaka: "How mean of you, Masumi. Your friend got hurt and you are accusing him of being the bad guy."
Masumi: "So what happened?"
Kiyotaka: "Well, I made a prank on my seatmate and she didn't like it, so she tried to stab me with a compass needle. In the end, my hand got wounded by her, which is why it's now bandaged."
Masumi: "So I was right. But to attack you with a pointed weapon.. She must be a crazy girl or some psycho. You had a tough luck, though I still think that it was your fault."
Kiyotaka: "Not exactly, but mostly."
Masumi: "So? What happened to the girl? Did you inform the school about that?"
Kiyotaka: "No. As you said, I was a little at fault there, so I decided to let it go for now."
Masumi: "I see. Maybe that would teach you to not bully anyone carelessly."
Kiyotaka: "Yes. I understood that I should stick to bully my one and only Masumi, who always reacts so lovely to my teasing."
Masumi: "If you continue to tease me like that, I will use a compass needle on you as well."
Kiyotaka: "You are really mean, Masumi. Anyway, how about you tell me about those perverts you mentioned earlier?"
Masumi: "There were many, who ogled me, but it was nothing compared to Totsuka and Hashimoto!"
Masumi's face turned into utter disgust.
Masumi: "Although the school just started yesterday, Totsuka was already a loyal follower of Katsuragi. When I entered the classroom in the morning, Katsuragi greeted me on behalf of the class. And Totsuka was with him. While the baldie was decent enough and his eyes didn't wander, that green-haired pervert was ogling my chest and legs so much that he started salivating. A disgusting pervert."
My blacklist just got another entry.
Kiyotaka: "This indeed is not something to treat lightly. I understand that you are beautiful enough to charm someone, but he shouldn't act like that. Are you sure Katsuragi is a decent person, if he have someone like that as follower?
Masumi: "..."
Kiyotaka: "What?"
Masumi: "N-Nothing. I think Katsuragi is okay. But whatever he said, Totsuka was always saying later 'As expected of you, Katsuragi-san' like some fanboy. He is loyal to Katsuragi, but he is also using Katsuragi's name to make himself look important and superior than he actually is."
Kiyotaka: "So he is a perverted lickspittle. Duly noted. What about Hashimoto?"
Masumi: "He seems to be supportive of Sakayanagi, but I feel like he is a snake that could betray anyone. He is sitting close to me and he constantly was trying to talk with me to get some information about my absence yesterday. And though he was not so open with his vision like Totsuka, I could feel his eyes on my rear! Actually, I think he was observing it the most of the time during the classes!"
Kiyotaka: "That's really troublesome, especially since you guys sit close to each other. Although I don't know anything about this Hashimoto, but I am so jealous of his placement. I only caught a glimpse of it yesterday in the park, but you have a really nice butt, Masumi."
I remembered the feeling of Suzune's butt and started to wonder, who between those two have a better rear. It would be a tough decision.
Masumi: "Damned pervert! Why do you always have thoughts like that?!"
Kiyotaka: "I'm sorry, Masumi. My teasing went a little too far. I will take care of those two as the Student Council Vice-President. You have my word on that."
Masumi: "..."
In instant, Masumi went from angry expression to stunned expression, then once again to angry expression.
That emotional rollercoaster of hers must have been really tiring.
Masumi: "Did you get drunk before our meeting or something, Kiyotaka? Since when did you become the Vice-President? If you think I will calm down just because you spout some nonsense, then you are absolutely wrong!"
Kiyotaka: "Today, at the lunch break. I was talking with the Student Council President Horikita Manabu and he said that I could be the second Vice-President. Tomorrow after the lessons, there's gonna be the student club affair and I will apply to the Student Council there. My position should be officially announced in a few days."
Masumi looked suspiciously at me.
Masumi: "Are you for real?"
Kiyotaka: "Yes, Masumi. I am honest as always."
Masumi: "Pfff.. Hahaha! Somehow this is so funny. That President must be totally blind to make you the Vice-President! Hahaha!"
Looks like my newly acquired position was funny for Masumi.
I couldn't really blame her for that after what I did yesterday.
Kiyotaka: "Actually, I wanted to ask you, if you wouldn't want to join the Student Council with me. I think I will be allowed to invite one student, so I thought of you."
Masumi: "Hahaha.. Cough, cough.. E-Ehh? You want me to join the Student Council?"
Kiyotaka: "Yes. What do you think?"
Masumi: "..."
Once again Masumi become stunned.
I was looking at her with a small smile.
Since Fuka refused to join with me, Masumi was my second best choice.
She was a member of Class A, who was supposed to be initially the best class, so she probably wouldn't have problems with the work for the Student Council.
Her character was strong, so she wouldn't easily crumble from the pressure of being in the opposite camp of Nagumo.
She was a skilled shoplifter, but with her new position she may reconsider her behaviour.
It would also make her more valuable for her class leaders.
But more than anything, she was someone I took interest in.
It would be fun to work with her.
Masumi: "I'm sorry, but I refuse. I don't think I would be suitable for the Student Council. And I would get a lot of attention in my class because of that. So no. To be honest, I was thinking of joining the Art Club."
Kiyotaka: "Oh? Do you know how to paint? That's amazing Masumi. I want to see some of your works in the future."
Masumi: "I wouldn't mind, if I make something decent. But you.. You are not angry at me?"
Kiyotaka: "No, why would I? I am feeling a little dissapointed, because I think that working with you would be fun. But it's your decision and I won't force you. I just got an interesting information about you instead, so I am satisfied. I just hope you will really show me some of your pictures later."
It was really disappointing, but the chances of Masumi agreeing to it were small to begin with.
I didn't want to force her, especially since she would get involved in my fight with Nagumo.
Looks like I will be joining the Student Council without an ally.
Masumi: "Thanks."
Kiyotaka: "It's not a big deal. I just wanted to have a familiar face around in the Student Council, that's all. But since you want to join the Art Club, would you mind going to the student club affair together with me? I would pick you up after the classes tomorrow."
Masumi: "I guess I don't mind. But why do you want to go to my classroom? We could meet before the place."
Kiyotaka: "Of course, so I could take a look at your class leaders and the perverts. I just promised you to take care of that, didn't I?"
Masumi: "What do you plan to do? I told you that I don't want unnecessary attention."
Kiyotaka: "Masumi, you need to understand one thing. You are a beautiful girl. That much gives you a big amount of unwanted attention. But it will not give you a protection from anyone, just an annoyance. I'm sure you know that much already. So you need a repellent force to protect your freedom. And being a friend with the Vice-President will be a big repellent for the bugs. I assure you of that."
Masumi: "Won't people think that I am your spy later?"
Kiyotaka: "Firstly, that would be actually better for you, since you wouldn't be included in the class strategy and will have a peace. Secondly, I am not planning to do anything, so it's not like you are going to betray your class or something. And lastly, most likely you may be asked or forced to spy on me, so it would make you more valuable for the class and your repellent force would be even bigger practically for free."
Masumi: "..."
Kiyotaka: "Of course, if you don't want to, our friendship can stay hidden. But that would be even more suspicious, don't you think? Or do you want me to stay away from you?"
Masumi contemplated for some time.
This decision was big for the both of us.
She will face some contempt for the meetings with me, but will also have a backer that she could actually trust.
As for me, it would help me meeting with Masumi openly in the school and in the outside, which was a big plus.
And I will have a clear connection to Class A.
It would be even better, if someone smart there ordered Masumi to spy on me, so we could spend more time together.
Masumi sighed deeply.
Masumi: "I understand. You can pick me up tomorrow. It will be a headache, but staying hidden from the others would be even more troublesome."
Kiyotaka: "Thank you, Masumi. It's gonna be fun."
Masumi: "Why do I have a bad feeling about that?"
Kiyotaka: "Because you are a pessimist. You should smile more often. It's a waste of your beauty to have a frustrated face all the time. Although thanks to that, my competition is a little easier."
Masumi: "What competition?"
Kiyotaka: "Who knows? By the way, Masumi, we are sitting here for over ten minutes and no one came to ask for our orders. It's suspicious, don't you think?"
From the moment we walked in, the only sound that could be heard was some music from the speakers.
Masumi: "You are right. That's weird. When I was here earlier, there was an owner here and two adult customers."
Kiyotaka: "Maybe you saw some ghosts?"
Masumi: "Don't be ridiculous. You think I am stupid enough to become scared because of your words? Who believes in the ghosts in these times?"
I remembered a certain black-haired scaredy cat.
Kiyotaka: "Stay here. I will check inside that room. Masumi, if something happens to me, I want you to know that I..."
Masumi: "Stop being so dramatic and go!"
Kiyotaka: "Tch, you are no fun."
I went towards the room and opened the door.
The room inside was actually a kitchen with no one around.
The entire kitchen was clean and neat.
I spotted another door on the other side.
I walked towards it.
My ears started to hear some snoring from the door.
I opened slightly it and saw a man inside.
He was lying comfortably on the chair and was sleeping deeply.
The moment I saw the man inside, my body stiffened.
Not because he was a worker, who fell asleep during his working hours.
But because I knew this guy.
The man: "Zzzz... Christine.. you are such a naughty woman.. zzz..."
This little..
I opened the door widely and drop kicked on the man's stomach to wake him up. Or to put him into eternal slumber. The both options are good for me.
The man flew down from the chair and crashed with the floor with impact.
The man: "Ouch.. That hurts.."
I stared at him without the word.
The man: "Who the hell...!"
The man stopped mid-sentence, once he saw my face.
His body slightly trembled from the realization how much of trouble he was in.
I crouched down and smiled slightly at him.
Kiyotaka: "Good morning, Henry. What the hell are you doing here?"
To be continued..
