Jadelynn got out of her room seeing Angie asleep in bed and the phone going off. She walked to the nightstand swiping the screen and placed it on her ear. "Hello?" Said Jadelynn. "Hi Jadelynn. Its Zander. Can you put your mom on the phone?" Said a mans voice. Jadelynn shook Angie on the head seeing her lift her head looking at Jadelynn holding her phone. "Who's on the phone?" Said Angie before letting out a yawn. "Zander." Said Jadelynn. Angie hit the speaker button placing it on her night stand and went to the kitchen. "Whats going on?" Said Angie opening the fridge. "Listen. Im not going to deliver the catering today. I fell through the floor at my house and resulted to a broken leg and some bruises." Said Zander. "Alright. I'll see what i can do. Does our new boss Ms. Bennett know?" Said Angie pulling out a gallon of milk. "Yeah i did. So I'll be gone for a few months." Said Zander. "Okay. I'll ask Tina and the group to help us." Said Angie. "The Martinez trio are leaving for a cousin's fifteenth birthday. Its only Tina, Ashlee, Jet, and possibly Teddy." Said Zander. Angie grabbed a bowl and a box of Cheerios as Jadelynn waited in her seat with her small bowel. "Thanks hope you get well." Said Angie setting Jadelynn's bowl up with cut bananas before making herself some. "Thanks and the Science convention starts in six hours so the traffic wont be as bad." Said Zander. "Dont jinx me. Its San Francisco." Said Angie hearing him laugh. "Sorry. Good Luck to you guys. Bye." Said Zander. "Bye Zander." Said Jadelynn. "Bye Jadelynn. Bye Angie." Said Zander before hanging up.
Angie sat down to eat her breakfast while making a few calls to her employees. She later got herself ready and Jadelynn before Angie wrote down her name and number on Jadelynn's right arm in pen then sprayed it with hair spray."Ready to go?" Said Angie handing her small backpack to Jadelynn. "Yeah." Said Jadelynn before they left to the elevator. They both walked out on the block holding hands as a food truck pulled over honking at them. "Theres Tina." Said Angie picking Jadelynn up. She walked to the passenger side seeing large man with dark skin holding the door to lift Jadelynn up. Angie later got in herself as the truck moved and took a seat on the floor in between the seats. She started checking her emails on her phone seeing a message from Mr. Bay. 'Hello Ms. Walters. I know you have been a really good resident in my building but i have been getting complaints of loud noises from your apartment and the police coming to my building. Since Im retiring soon. Im giving you two months notice to find another place for you and your niece. If you cant get a place by then i have no choice to evict you which i dont like doing for a struggling parent. This is all i can do for you both. Sincerely, Mr. Bay.' Angie sighed and put her phone away as they watch the street for any issues on their way to their location.
About an hour they parked the truck to the back of the building. Angie handed Jadelynn her small backpack and bag to carry inside while she, Teddy, and Tina rolled in the boxes of food using the carts. Reaching to the cafe they set up the tables to present their dishes as the director comes by. "Hello. Im Kent Henderson. Welcome to the California Academy of Science." Said the man wearing a white button shirt and dark cargo pants. "Angie Walters and this is Jadelynn. Thank you so much for letting us sponsor our restaurant." Said Angie shaking his hand while Jadelynn waved at him. "No problem and we will having students from New York doing a trip here. If theres issues please let me or my staff know." Said Kent. "Of course and is there a place for Jadelynn to stay at while i work." Said Angie. "She can stay at the curiosity grove where she can learn and play along with other children her age." Said Kent. "Perfect. Teddy do you mind covering for me? I'll be right back." Said Angie as Teddy gave her a thumb up while putting the cupcakes out on their prepared food on the table. She smiled and grabbed Jadelynn by the hand following Kent through the academy. They reached a large forest themed room with a small playset and kids enjoying the toys and books displayed for them with a few adults teaching the kids about animals. "Stay inside and I'll be checking up on you." Said Angie. "Okay mommy." Said Angie before going to the toys. She smiled and walked back tp the cafe seeing Teddy behind the table waited with other staff members serving the food. "So whats going on?" Said Teddy as Angie stood beside him.
"My landlord is retiring and gave me two months to find a place or get evicted." Said Angie. "Have you told Eddie?" Said Teddy. "No. Hes kinda mad that Kasidy wrote me after find the stacks of unopen letters." Said Angie. She breathed in and out through her nose then saw a few teens in groups coming in and smiled sweetly before luring them in to their tables while holding some business cards. "Hi. Everyone. Welcome to California Academy of Science. Im Angie Walters a waitress and Chef of Foreign Cinema. We are sponsoring our restaurant to get more customers and help have an amazing experience here in San Francisco." Said Angie handing a few business cards to a few teens who were interested. "Hey what about that monster that roams here?" Said a teen with wavy hair. "Peter." Said a girl next to him. "MJ. Come on i need something for the daily bugle. Do you know anything about him?" Said Peter. "No. Im sorry." Said Angie seeing MJ eyeing her with a large boy next to her. "Enough of talk about the monster. Now meet back here after your done with the assignment." Said the man. The students looked at the food presented and went to get their orders while Peter, MJ, and the large boy which she learned was Ned left to explore on their own.
