Charlies Revenge
Molly Weasley loved having all of her children underneath her roof for the summer with Bill transferring back to England from Egypt for work and Charlie having some time off for the Quidditch world cup all seven of her children would be under her roof
Along with some extra faces not only were Harry and Hermione spending the last bit of summer here at the Burrow but Charlie had asked her to set out an extra plate at dinner because he was bringing a guest
Molly couldn't help but wonder who it could be Charlie hadn't kept much contact with his friends from school since going to work in Romania was he perhaps bringing along a work friend whose a quidditch fan
Or maybe
Just maybe
He was bringing home a girl
Was this the night she'd meet her first future daughter in law and all the wonderful moments that would come with it a wedding births seeing hers and Arthurs grandchildren off to Hogwarts for the first time
Molly shouldn't get hopes up she had no idea who this Charlies friend was for all she knew it was just a dragon keeper who was a big fan
She supposed she'd find out when dinner came around setting the table with a quick spell with a grin
Dinner came and one after another her children were heading towards the table still there was no sign of Charlies guest Molly spotted Charlie chatting with Bill a mischievous smirk on his face
Oh bother
Charlie was planning a prank
While he was a good boy growing up Charlie had his moments where he'd pull a prank or two having taught everything he knew to Fred and George Molly didn't know who the target of his prank was but if it was her Charlie would be getting an earful
"Charlie where's your guest" Molly asked
"She's out by the pond mum" Charlie answered

Mollys hopes were starting to get up again Charlie certainly never brought a girl home
"Well what do you know Fred Charlies brought home a bird" George joked starting their routine about how Charlie would end up either single or married to a dragon
"A bird don't you mean a dragon after all no lovely lady can keep Charlies attention when there's a dragon about" Fred agreed "so what's she like is she venomous have spikes or a club on her tail what's her wingspan"
Molly was about to tell her sons to quit teasing their brother when Charlie smirked reminding Molly very much of her dear departed brother Gideons smirk when he had one upped her and Fabian
"Look behind you and see" Charlie answered curiously Fred and George turned seeing a roaring alligator showing off its mouth full of teeth Fred and George screamed in fright
"Bloody hell" Ron exclaimed while Ginny jumped back falling into Hermione Harry was wideyed while Bill and Percy shared commiserating looks used to Charlies and the twins shenanigans
The alligator let out a chuckling hiss before shifting becoming a dark skinned beauty with braided black hair wearing a dark blue coat over a white tank top jeans and trainers laughing she walked over to Charlie giving him a peck on the lips
Mollys eyes couldn't help but hone in on the glittering diamond on her left ring finger
"Well you two what do you think of this dragon" Charlie asked wrapping his arms around her waist
"Bloody hell that's Debbie Muntz" Ron said stupefied "Charlie you just kissed Debbie Muntz"
"Not for the first time yeah" the girl Debbie answered cheekily "didn't think I had many fans on this side of the pond though"
"Of course i'm a fan that barrel roll you did around the bludger before scoring the goal on Italy was brilliant" Ron exclaimed
Molly remembered hearing the name over the wireless during the America England game she was one of the chasers
"Mum family this is Debbie my fiancé Debbie this is my family and my brothers Rons friends Harry and Hermione" Charlie introduced
"It's nice to meet everyone Charlies told me all about you" Debbie said
Molly smiled walking over to the American witch hugging her tightly "ooh welcome to the family"
"Thanks" Debbie said hugging her back
Yes oh happy day one of her babies was getting married perhaps being beaten to the altar by his baby brother will get Bill to commit to someone and settle down
She wanted a house full of grandchildren was that too much to ask
"What's all this hullaballoo" Arthur asked coming from the shed snapping Molly out of her stupor
"Your son and his fiancé just pranked everyone" Molly explained to her husband
Arthur nodded " Charlie you're a grown man and you know better" Arthur said at his wife's look "did I hear you say fiancé Mollywobbles"
Molly smiled "yes I did now let's all eat Charlie you can tell us how long you've been hiding your lovely bride to be from us" Molly said with a look that Charlie knew meant business
"Yes mum" Charlie said knowing this was his punishment for his prank "worth it"
"What was that Charles"
"Nothing mum"
And that's the Charlies engaged to a pro quidditch player whose also an alligator animagus
Originally I was going to do a komodo dragon but a gator is way scarier
And looks more like a dragon
So without anything else to say happy independence day
