Life was wonderful for Arthur Weasley in his opinion he had a beautiful wife a house full of children he adored good friends and the Irish had made it to tje finals of tje quidditch world cup this year
True Arthur wasn't rich in money the salary of a minor ministry department being stretched between seven children kept his gringotts vault sparsely filled but he was rich in what truly mattered
It was certainly nice to have the entire Weasley brood under the Burrows roof at least for the weekend Bill had found his own place Charlie would be going bck to the dragon reserve in Romania and Percy had started his own house hunt between his duties working for old Barty
How a man like that had ended up in the department of international magical cooperation of all places Arthur would never know
Smelling the heavenly aroma of Mollys cooking Arthur stepped out of his shed surprised to see a young asian woman standing by Arthur would guess she was in her early twenties with black hair in two pigtails wearing simple but expensive white robes with red threading on the shoulders over orange pants and sandals
"Hello" Arthur said politely
"Good evening Weasley Gifu" the girl said with a slight accent sounding slightly nervous bowing at the waist
"May I ask who you are young lady and why you're outside my shed" Arthur asked knowing enough about japans language and culture to know from working with his counterpart in Kyoto to know what she had said
The modest but lovely engagement ring was also a sign "are you here with Bill or Charlie"
"Charlie kun he thought the best way to make a first impression would be to pull a prank on Fred and George" she said Arthur noticed how her eyes sparkled and smile filled with love when she had mentioned his second sons name
"Oh where are my manners I'm Shizuka Watanabe soon to be Watanabe-Weasley" she said bowing again
"The Japanese national seeker" Arthur asked curious how his son had met the pro athlete "I caught part of your match against Italy on the wireless your catch was brilliant"
"Thank you Weasley Gifu" she said
"Please call me Arthur" he told her "we're going to be family soon after all"
"All right thank you Arthur Gifu" she said honored likely she had been expecting for it to take longer than their first meeting before he'd allowed her to use his first name to address him by his given name
Arthur had never been a wizard for standing on tradition
"Shame about your match against Bulgaria you nearly had the snitch"
"Yes Krum san played very well" she admitted respectfully though there was a competitive fire in her eyes and a passion to be better Arthur could see why Charlie had been drawn to her "I underestimated him because of his age but I won't the next time we fly against each other"
"Now how exactly are you going to prank the twins I should warn you they're very good" Arthur asked curiously
Shizuka grinned playfully "allow me to show you" she said as her skin turned scales she bent down turning into a komodo dragon
Arthur silently laughed of course Charlie would fall in love with a dragon
Shizuka prowled through the grass before breaking into a both terrifying and amusing run Arthur heard the sound of shock and fright of Fred and George
'The students have yet to surpass the master it seems' Arthur thought remembering well where Fred and George had learned their talent for mischief from
"What's all this hullaballoo" Arthur asked walking over to the garden
"Arthur your son and his fiance just gave us all a heart attack" Molly told him
"Especially Fred and George" Arthur heard Ron whisper to Harry and Hermione
"Honestly Charlie you're a grown man" Arthur playfully scolded "did you say fiancé Molly wobbles"
Molly nodded "yes I did and Charlie is going to tell us how long he's been hiding his bride to be from us over dinner" Molly said
"Worth it" Arthur heard Charlie mutter
"What was that Charles" Molly asked knowingly
"Nothing mum"
