Chapter: Moon-Light Rum-Ble
Space...a wondrous world, filled with infinite cosmic energy. Using the Astro Switches, these young people will open the door to the future of space. Space on your hand! Reach out and seize the universe!
"You won't be needing this anymore." Yuki said to Medea as she handed the Moon Pendant to her, the elven looking teen seated on a bench located in the main area of the Rabbit Hutch.
"Being fine with who I am…" Medea muttered, gazing upon the charm. "That's the first time anyone's ever said that to me."
"And what's wrong with that?" Shirou spoke up, "If you're going to accept people for who they are, the first step to that is accepting you for who you are."
Medea turned her head to look at him, a look of bewilderment on her face before she let out a humorless sounding laugh.
"Is this your way of trying to make me your friends, don't make me laugh." She scoffed at the boy who'd for all intents and purposes dragged her to this place against her will. "In case you haven't noticed, I'm a weird girl with access to memories from my supposed past life. Are you really sure that you'd want someone like that for a friend?"
Shirou stared back at her, a smirk spreading itself across his face before he all of a sudden burst out laughing. Something that Medea didn't appreciate.
"Are you laughing at me?" She snapped, "What's so damn funny?"
"I'm sorry, it's just you said you were weird. In case you haven't noticed, no one here's exactly normal." The rust haired boy replied, offering the blue haired Sophomore a smile. "Take me for an example, I have a hero complex and can't say no to people even when I know that I really shouldn't."
"I don't exactly like being labeled as a weirdo." Rin spoke up, sounding rather indignant before letting out a sigh and her expression softened. "That being said, I am pretty two-faced, even I don't trust myself to be honest."
"I'm an overachiever who sets impossible standards that I know that I can never live up to." Artoria added.
"I'm a delinquent whose been in trouble so many times that the detention hall is practically my second home." Cu said as he lounged in his seat, idly spinning a basketball on the tip of one of his fingers.
"I'm a space otaku with no self control." Yuki said proudly, holding up her Hayabusa-kun puppet.
"I…I wouldn't say I'm weird." Illya said. "Although…seeing a girl dressed in a maid costume…makes me feel strange, inappropriate things."
"Like I said none of us here is exactly normal." Shirou said to Medea in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Well, except for Mr. perfect over there." Cu said, glancing over in Kengo's direction.
"That…that's not exactly true. I'm…I'm the king of skipping class." Kengo said, blushing slightly. "I've spent more time in the nurse's office than I have attending class…"
The blush on his face deepened as the others began laughing at him.
"As for the whole memories of your past life thing, So what. Artoria and Cu here are in the same position as you, they've both got access to the memories and abilities of their past lives." Shirou, something that caught Medea off guard. "Still, that doesn't make them any less of who they are as people."
"It's true, thanks to being exposed to a Zodiart Switch I discovered that I could gain access to the memories and the abilities of my past life." Artoria said, nodding her head in agreement. "But, despite this, at the end of the day I'm still Artoria Avalon, no more no less."
"That's all well and good for you, I guess whoever you were must have been someone pretty great if that's the case." Medea told the blond haired Senior, a humorless smile on her face, "Trust me, if you knew what my past was like I doubt you'd be so willing to want me around."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Artoria addressed
"My past life is filled with heartbreak and betrayal; they were betrayed by those close to them and they in turn betrayed them in return. The man she loved was unfaithful and she got back at him by taking the lives of her own children just to get back at him."
She then turned her attention towards Shirou. "So tell me Emiya Shirou, based on this, you still want to be friends?" She told him in a serious tone, "How can you be so sure that I won't end up backstabbing you in return?"
Shirou stared back at her, seemingly unphased by the elven looking girl's comments. "Just because you've got memories of your past life doesn't mean you have to be anything like her." He replied. "Tell me Colchis, just what kind of person do you want to be?"
Standing on the roof of the school Usaka Ritsuko stared out at the horizon, her Zodiart Switch clutched tight in her fist as she thought about what had led her to this point.
For whatever reason she had the ability to see things that others couldn't, things that couldn't be rationally explained. Worse still, whenever one of these incidents did occur around the school she'd be the one who'd be blamed for them, making her out to be the bad guy despite how little sense it made.
Fine then, if they wanted her to be the villain so badly then she'd play the role that they'd forced her to fit into.
Holding up her Zodiart Switch she pressed down on the red button; her body being engulfed in a mass of dark energy that quickly vanished to reveal her transformation into the Altar Zodiart.
"Since you all want me to be the villain so badly then I'll show you all the biggest act of rebellion." She announced before letting out an ominous sounding chuckle.
"Wait, you're telling me that Ritsuko is planning on burning down the whole school?" Rin exclaimed as she and the other members of the Kamen Rider Club followed after Medea, "Has she lost damn mind?"
"This is clearly the Zodiarts Switches influence." Artoria said, a stern look on her face, "We've seen the effect that they have on those who use them."
"That's right, she's dead set on it." Medea replied, "She's planning on using her magic infused staff to engulf the entire school in flames."
"So that's her plan, to sacrifice the school as part of her ritual." Shirou muttered, a frown on his face.
"Damn…" Cu shook his head, "Sure I'm not the biggest fan of this place but even I don't want to see it burned to ashes."
"We'd better hurry and get that Switch before this thing can start." Kengo said firmly, the others nodding in agreement, Medea leading them to a storage room filled with various school supplies.
"No one's here." Rin muttered as she and the others entered the room, "You sure that this is the place?"
"Of course not, this is where I hid my switch ahead of the ceremony." Medea replied as she hurried over in the direction of a filing cabinet on top of which sat an open suitcase filled with various items and began routing through it in search of the Zodiart Switch only to find it missing. "Wha…what, the switch, it's not here…"
Before any of Shirou's group could react to this, all of a sudden multiple ropes that were scattered about the room unfurled themselves and reached out towards them and wrapped themselves around them, binding them in place.
"Damnit, this was a trap…" Cu growled as he and the others struggled against their bonds to try and free themselves.
Just then the sound of approaching footsteps was heard and looking towards the door Medea was met by the sight of both Kuramochi Yuri and Okamura Masami standing in the doorway, blocking off any possible escape.
"There you are Medea, we've been looking all over for you" Masami said as she and her companion approached "Don't tell me these guys led you astray?"
"You wouldn't be looking for this would you?" Yuri added, smirking as she held up Medea's unused Zodiart switch.
"Don't listen to them, Colchis." Shirou called to the blue haired sophomore, "They don't actually care about you."
"What's wrong?" Yuri told her target, "You're not having second thoughts are you?"
"Come on, Ritsuko-san has everything ready on the roof." Masami added.
Medea frowned, glancing back and forth between Shirou's group and her so-called friends.
"Fine." She said as she pulled out her Moon Pendant and slipped her charm around her neck before walking over to join Yuri and Masami. "Let's go."
Entering the rooftop Medea, Yuri and Masami found the Areas Zodiart waiting for them, standing before a circular piece of material that had an intricate looking magic circle drawn on it as well as several lit candles placed around it.
"There you are Medea, it's time for your transformation." The Altar Zodiart said, gesturing to the magic circle on the ground as Yuri and Masami dragged Medea into place before taking their own spots, "Now come, discard your humanity and grab onto a star."
With everyone finally gathered, the ceremony began, the Altar Zodiart and her two flunkies began muttering mystical sounding gibberish while Medea stood there, glancing over at the fiery Zodiart who looked to be focused on the task at hand.
Seeing her chance Medea lunged at the Altar Zodiart, ramming into her as she grabbed her staff and managed to wrench it free from her grip as well as knocking Ritsuko out of her transformation.
"Medea, what do you think you're doing?" Ritsuko said sternly, fixing the blue haired girl with a look of barely restrained anger as she picked herself up off of the ground. "You really think that you can just quit being a Lunar Witch?"
"I've been to the moon, there's no promised utopia up there, it's completely dead." Medea retorted, pausing for a moment as she recalled being in the Rabbit Hutch with everyone, recalling how welcoming it was. "And yet, up there I felt…wanted, I met people that actually liked me for me. I didn't have to change who I am, they accepted me for who I am."
As she said this, Medea grabbed her moon pendant and tore it from around her neck before tossing it to the ground where it shattered upon impact, before turning on her heel and began running carrying the Altar Zodiart's staff with her, Yuri and Masami following after her.
As she watched Medea flee, Ritsuko's Zodiart Switch began emanating dark energy and the white half orb embedded at the top suddenly turning red.
LAST ONE!
"Seems even my switch is angry." Ritsuko commented before she pressed down on the button that protruded from it, her form engulfed in the same dark energy from with the unconscious form of Usaka Ritsuko collapsed to the ground, her body encased in webbing, the Altar Zodiarts standing over her.
"Now this is how somebody completely discards their humanity." The pyrokinetic Zodiart said as they set off in pursuit of the fleeing Medea.
Back in the storage room the members of the Kamen Rider Club were still struggling against the ropes that bound them.
"Come…on…" Shirou grunted as he straining himself against his restraints when all of a sudden the ropes that bound him suddenly broke a part, surprising just about everyone.
"Damn man," Cu exclaimed, "have you been working out?"
"Shirou," Artoria said, a look of awe on her face as she looked upon the rust haired boy. "Your strength is greater than expected."
"Of course he does," Yuki beamed, "Shirou's got so much youthful power on his side."
Just then a mechanical chirping noise was heard, looking over the group noticed the Potechokin Foodroid sitting there on the ground, the fries themed robot clicking its scissor-like attachments before moving towards Kengo.
"I called him here." Kengo informed everyone as the small Foodroid used its scissors to cut the ropes restraining him, "Emiya, what are you waiting for? Get going already."
Running as fast as she could to escape her pursuers, Medea made her way through the school building, racing through corridors and down stairwells before eventually coming finding herself outside.
"Heh, you think that you can run…" The Altar Zodiart scoffed as she watched Medea flee, conjuring several fireballs that she then launched at the fleeing blunette, one of them striking the ground near her feet, the resulting burst of force knocking her to the ground and dropping the staff in the process.
"I thought we understood each other," The fiery Zodiart said as they stooped down to pick their staff up off the ground. "Such a shame, if you won't join my coven then I guess I have no choice but to burn you up along with the school."
"R…Ritsuko…" Medea stammered as the Altar Zodiart began conjuring another fireball, "Ritsuko, don't…"
"Goodbye Medea," The Altar Zodiart said as her fireball grew steadily larger, "If only you'd not so foolishly given up on the moon…"
Before she could launch the mass of burning energy at her target Shirou appeared from seemingly nowhere and drop kicked the Altar Zodiart, knocking her to the ground.
"E…Emiya…" Medea exclaimed, both surprised and relieved to see him.
"A real emissary from the moon is here." The rust haired proclaimed, offering Medea a hand. "Sorry to keep you waiting, I got a little tied up."
Medea frowned at him. "Cutting it a little close don't you think?" She told him as she grasped his hand with her own, allowing him to pull her back up. "Also, that can't have even sounded good in your head."
As the two of them were talking the Altar Zodiart was picking themself up off the ground, glaring hatefully at both Shirou and Medea. "Meddling bastard…" she growled.
"Colchis, stay back. I'll take it from here." Shirou told the blue haired girl who then ran off to one side, as he pulled out his Fourze Driver, attaching the device to his waist before and. flipping down the switches on the front of it before grasping the handle on the side.
3…! 2…! 1….!
"Henshin…" Shirou announced before pulling on the handle, the air filled with the sound of techno music along with a blast of white smoke which quickly vanished to reveal him and donned him in his Fourze armor.
"Kamen Rider Fourze," The Astronaught themed Rider announced, pounding his chest with his fist before extending it out towards the Altar Zodiart. "Let's settle this one on one."
"Kamen Rider…" Medea muttered, unsure of how to react to this. One the one hand it made Emiya sound like an anime hero, and yet it also made him seem cooler.
Meanwhile the Altar Zodiart didn't seem to share Medea's feeling on the matter. "Don't make me laugh." She scoffed, "Go!"
Pointing her staff at her two flunkies, both Yuri and Masami rose into the air before the two of them launched themselves towards both Fourze who quickly dropping to the ground to avoid the pair who quickly rose back up to avoid retaliation.
"Hey, don't you know what one on one means?" Fourze protested as the two wannabe witches made another pass towards him.
"Who cares." Yuri retorted as she and Yuri swooped in to make another pass. when all of a sudden Artoria and Cu appeared before both the Rider and the blue haired teen, channelling the powers of their past selves to transform into their combat gear.
Now transformed, Saber and Lancer grabbed hold of Yuri and Masami and shoved the two of them over to where Kengo, Rin, Yuki and Illya were waiting, the four of them carrying a large banner.
"Archer, Cu…" Fourze called out, happy to see the pair.
"We'll handle them." Saber replied as she and the spear wielder dragged before the pair tossed the pair of girls at the banner, the other club members using it to wrap them up in it.
"The Moon Pendants, break them." Medea called out to two of them, "That's how Ritsuko relays her power."
"Understood…" Saber replied, she and Lancer grabbed a hold of the pendants around Yuri and Masami's, both them quickly passing out, and tore them free before crushing them.
"Nice one Colchis." before ducking under the Altar Zodiart's attempt to hit him with her staff.
"Can't get close, guess I'll have to go with this one…" Fourze muttered, producing his Eleck Switch and swapped it into his belt, flipping the small lever located onto top of it.
ELECK!
EL~EK ON!
Aiming a kick at the Zodiart, at the same time a powerful jet of smoke erupting forth from the attachment on his back, launching him up into the air and sending him flying backwards, a burst of crackling electrical energy engulfing him as he took on the golden form of Eleck States, Billy the Rod in hand.
Armed with his Fourze charged towards his opponent, both Saber and Lancer joining him, all three of them moving in to engage the Altar Zodiart who responded by blocking their weapons with her staff as well as unleashing multiple fireballs to keep them at bay.
Meanwhile, from the sidelines, Medea watched as the trio engaged the Fiery Zodiart, feelings of anxiousness in the pit of her stomach. Emiya. Atoria. Kengo. Yuki. They were only getting involved in this mess because of her, doing all of this for her.
All because she'd been foolish enough to believe the stuff that Ritsuko had been spouting, believing that she'd found people that she actually fit in with.
What could someone like her do? Emiya had said that both Artoria and Cu not only had access to the memories of their past selves but could also tap in and use their abilities as well, what about her, could she do the same?
But, to know for sure, she'd have to…
Before she could even finish that thought, Medea once again found herself in that dark space, staring at the hooded form of the person who she'd supposedly been in a past life, still seated at a small table upon which a crystal ball sat along with a deck of tarot cards.
"Here again I see." The Medea of Colchis said casually, not even looking up at the teenager in front of her. "What do I owe the pleasure this time?"
"I…I want to help my friends…" The teenage Medea replied. "You're some all powerful witch right, why don't you get off your ass and do something?"
"Friends…" Medea of Colchis scoffed, "What use do I have for these so-called friends of yours? Wasn't dear Ritsuko your friend and look what happened, consumed a power that she couldn't begin to comprehend."
Rested her elbows on the table and entwined her fingers, resting her chin upon them
"And as for this little club of weirdo's and rejects that you've acquainted yourself with, what makes you think that they can be trusted any more than your last so called friends?" The ancient witch asked, a sly grin on her painted lips.
"They're not like that." Medea replied, "They accept me for who I am."
"Do they now, can you be truly certain of that?" The witch said, clearly enjoying the look on the blue haired Sophomore's face, "Betrayal is a fundamental part of human nature, to use others to further their own goals and curly discard them once they are no longer useful."
"You…you don't know what you're talking about." Medea retorted, her tone less than the woman in front of her.
"Oh no. In life I was betrayed by the love of my life and I returned the favor by betraying others in return." The hooded witch replied, "To believe otherwise is foolish. You can pretend otherwise but when the time inevitably comes either they will betray you or you will betray them because in the end the only person you can truly rely on is yourself. It is inevitable."
Medea recoiled slightly from the older woman, a look of uncertainty spreading across her face. Was she right? Was she really doomed to repeat her past actions, to live a life unable to really trust anyone for fear of being hurt or willing hurting others.
"Just because you've got memories of your past life doesn't mean you have to be anything like her." All of a sudden Emiya's words back on the Rabbit Hutch flashed through her mind "Tell me Colchis, just what kind of person do you want to be?"
'Who…who I want to be…' her expression hardened and she fixed the older woman with a stern look.
"I said that you don't know what you're talking about." She snapped at her, the older woman looking rather surprised at her sudden outburst. "Maybe you are my past life but that doesn't mean that we're anything alike. The only one who gets to decide who I am is me. Sure he's far from conventional but Emiya Shirou might just be the most honest person I've ever met and he told me that the only person who gets to decide who I am is me. If nothing else I can believe in that."
"If you're not going to do anything to help, then fine." "You make yourself useful and give me your damn power already."
For a moment Medea of Colchis remained silent as she stared at the teenage girl standing before her before a small smile spread itself across her lips. "My my, how unexpected, taking such a tone knowing full well who you're speaking to." She said. "Unexpected and, I have to admit, rather intriguing."
Leaning forward she once more rested her chin upon her entwined fingers, "Alright, if you're that committed to rescuing these new friends of yours, I suppose I have no choice but to acquiesce." She continued, "However, should the worse come to pass, don't say that you weren't warned."
All of a sudden a circle consisting of multiple runes made from glowing energy appeared beneath Medea's feet, the glow it gave off flashing brightly before rising up off of the ground, passing over her before vanishing.
Standing there Medea, instead of her uniform she was clad in a flowing lavender colored dress, her hands adorned in silken gloves, the left being green and the right purple, and long boots that stretched up most of her legs, the left one being purple and the right one was green. In one of her hands she held a long staff with a bronze consisting attached to the top.
"What the?" The Altar Zodiart exclaimed as shew took in the sight of Medea's new appearance. "M…Medea?"
"Surprised Ritsuko, you told us that by following you that I'd become a Luna Witch. Well, it seems I don't need your help with that anymore, I am Caster now." The blue haired teenager announced, "Now let's see if you can handle the power of a real witch."
"I dunno about the whole Witch thing." Rin muttered, a narrowed eyed frown on her face, "If anything she looks more like a Magical Girl to me."
A swirl of wind appeared around her feet, Caster suddenly rose up into the air, pointing her staff towards the Altar Zodiart, a pair of glowing magic circles appeared in the air next to her before unleashing several bursts of magical energy at her opponent who responded but firing a barrage of fireballs back at her, the two attacks colliding with one another.
"Nice one Colchis." Fourze cheered before he moved into engage the Altar Zodiart again, slashing at her while also using the jets of steam from his Hover Pack to avoid her attempts strike him with her staff as well as several fireballs.
Despite this the Altar Zodiart managed to strike him in the chest, knocking him back several feet before landing on his feet, before launching a fireball at him which Fourze dodged by dropping to the ground and rolling out of the way.
"Everything…everything will burn!" The Zodiart cried out, engulfing her staff in a swirling mass of flames before sending it rocketing into the air.
"No, she's aiming it at the magic circle on the school's roof." Yuki cried out as she and the others watched as the burning staff sailed high into the air, "If it hits then the entire building will go up in flames."
"Lancer…" Saber called out to her spear wielding companion, turning to face him before entwining her fingers together.
"On it." the red eyed boy replied, cocking his arm back and hurled his spear school, the red polearm embedding itself in the wall.
Lancer then ran towards Saber, once he was close enough he hopped up, his foot landed in her cupped hand and allowed to her launch him up into the air.
Sailing upwards at high speed the blue haired delinquent reaching out he grabbed a hold of his spear he used it to catapult himself higher, landing on the roof of the building just as the Zodiart's staff descended towards the magic circle that Ritsuko had set up their earlier.
Snarling in frustration, Lancer dived forward, managing to grab hold of the burning staff moments before it could strike its target.
"Phew, that was too close…" Lancer breathed a sigh of relief before proceeding to snap the Zodiart's staff in two and casually tossed the pieces aside.
"How dare you…" The Altar Zodiart snarled before she lunged at Fourze, the fiery Zodiart proving to be stronger than expected, able to block his attempt to swing his electric rod at her before grabbing a hold of him and tossing him aside.
All of a sudden a massive gout of flames erupting from the top of her head, with a swing of her head she lashed out with the fiery mass, swinging it like a whip that lashed at both Fourze, Saber and Caster, all of whom did their best to avoid it, both the Rider and the swordswoman ducking and weaving out of the way while Caster rose up out of the way of the Zodiart's fiery whip.
"This opponent is proving most frustrating to deal with," Saber growled as she attempted to use her sword to block her fiery opponents whip, "Her flames are fearsome."
No sooner had she said these word's Altar's whip wrapped itself around Saber's sword, as the metal quickly heated , slashing her across the chest and knocking her to the ground, rolling across it and coming to a halt in front of where both Kengo and Yuki were standing.
"Damnit, guess I got no choice but to go with this one…" Fourze muttered as he produced the Fire Switch, detaching Eleck before inserting the new one in its place and pulled on the small ring attached to activate it.
FIRE!
FI~RE ON!
All of a sudden a blast of heat erupted from the Switch, engulfing Fourze in a pillar of flames that were then absorbed into his suit to create his new form.
His suit and helmet now a crimson red, A fire decal was over his chest, with matching shoulder plates, while four plates with flame patterns were attached to the silvery body armor that made up his upper torso. The lenses of his helmet are now a vibrant green.
Much like in his Eleck State Form, Fourze's armor on his right arm was the same colour as his suit and in his hand held his weapon, the Hee-Hackgun, completing his transformation into Kamen Rider Fourze Fire States.
Gripping the weapons handles, Fourze pointed it towards the Altar Zodiart firing a small ball of flames at her, only for the Zodiart to knock them out of the air with their her whip before lashing him across the chest.
Grunting in frustration, Fourze produced a new Astroswitch and inserted into the left most slot of his Driver, sliding the small switch located on the top forward to activate it.
SHIELD!
SHI~ELD ON!
All of a sudden a glowing construct appeared around Fourze's left arm which quickly solidified, taking the form of a shield that was shaped like the front section of a space shuttle which used to block the incoming fiery blasts fired at him.
"This isn't good," Yuki said, worry in her voice as she and Kengo watched as Fourze struggled against the fiery Zodiart, "A firefighter is such a bad match up for this Zodiart."
"Hey Colchis," Kengo called out to Caster, catching the magic users attention, "Can you sense anything about the Fire Switch"
"Why are you asking me?" Caster replied, using a magical barrier to deflect Altar's whip. "I'm a little busy right now."
"Listen to me, Fourze is in a pinch?" Kengo yelled, "You're magically inclined, can your powers tell you anything about the Fire Switches abilities?"
"Pinch…" Caster muttered, narrowing her gaze she focused on the energies emanating from both Fourze and the Altar Zodiart. From the looks of things, the aura around Fourze was getting stronger everything he was struck by the Zodiarts fiery attacks.
"Heat…" Caster said, a look of realisation appearing on her face. "Emiya, don't bother block the flames with your shield."
"Huh?" Fourze replied, blocking another of the Altar Zodiarts fiery blasts with his shield.
"Trust me." The flowery dressed teen instructed him, "Your shield is only getting in the way. That form of yours, it's absorbing the flames being launched at him…"
"Ok, I'll trust you." Removing the Shield Switch from his Driver, the nose cone shaped shield vanishing from his arm before getting back to his feet, fixing his gaze towards his opponent. "Alright, come get me."
"Ehh," Yuki exclaimed in shock, "What's he thinking?"
"I…I think I get it…" Kengo said, a look of realisation on his face, producing the Burgermeal Foodroid, activating it, using it to monitor the battle between Fourze and the Altar Zodiart, analysing the data on his briefcase computer.
"What the hell are you up to?" Zodiart snarled as she lashed out at Fourze with her fiery whip, striking him several times only for him to appear unphased by her strikes.
Fourze strode forward, seemingly unphased by the Zodiart's whip as it struck him, the fiery energy being sucked into the Fire Switch every time he was struck by it.
"Look at this," Kengo told both Yuki and Saber, ushering them over to observe the screen of his computer, "That Switch can absorb heat based attacks and store it to empower itself. Amazing, so this is the real power of Fire States."
"No, this Emiya's power." Yuki replied, sounding assured of herself, Saber nodding in agreement.
"Emiya's power…" Kengo muttered, "Could it be by accepting Colchis for who she is, flaws and all, he's able to bring out the switches dormant power."
As he moved towards the Altar Zodiart, Fourze's pace quickened, charging at her and managed to slip behind her, Fourze aimed a kick at the Zodiart and knocking her to the ground
"Emiya, the energy that the Switch has absorbed," Kengo ordered the fiery red Rider, "Fire it at the Zodiart."
"Got it." Fourze replied, removing the Fire Switch from his belt, Fourze attached it to the slot located on the underside of his Hee-Hackgun, the sound of a claxon ringing out from it as a powerful blast of steam from his module launched him into the air.
LIMIT BREAK!
Raising up high enough Fourze took aim towards the Altar Zodiart, both of his hands tightening on both grips, flames began gathering around the barrel coalescing together into a sphere not dissimilar to a sun.
Just as he was about to pull the trigger about to when he noticed Caster appear beside him, giving him a nod before conjuring up a magic circle in front of her. Fourze nodded in response as he turned his attention back towards the Zodiart on the ground below.
"RIDER BAKUNETSU SHŪTO!" He announced as he pressed down on the trigger and fired the miniature sun at his opponent.
At the same time Caster unleashed a powerful blast of magical energy from the magic circles in front of her, the magical energy which wrapped itself around the fiery shot before the combined struck the Altar Zodiart in the chest, its body crackling with energy as it was knocking it back a few step before being engulfed in a large explosion.
The Zodiart defeated, both Fourze and Caster lowered towards the ground, the fiery red Rider keeling down to pick up the discarded Zodiart Switch that lay on the ground.
Rising back up, he glanced over at Caster, extended his fist towards her. Seeing this the blue haired teen looked back at him, a smile spreading across her lips before fist bumping him.
"Well look at that." Yuki cheered. "Seem that the Kamen Rider Club has a new member."
"Oh great," Kengo sighed, not sharing Yuki's enthusiasm, "Now the Rabbit Hutch is gonna be even nosier."
AN And like another chapter is in the bag. I'm posted this a little later then I would have liked but its been sooooo freakin hot where I am lately, I didn't want to be stuck in a swelteringly hot room in front of a computer. Yeah, I know its summer but geez.
Anyway, this instalment see's us return to Kamen Rider Fourze, yeah its been a while since the last one and if the plot of this seems familiar its because this chapter is based off of episode 10 of Kamen Rider Fourze, the one that ends with Tomoko joining the Kamen Rider Club. Originally was going to do this plot with Sakura, or at least have her be the member of the Kamen Rider Club that was almost tempted by a Zodiart Switch, but upon reflection I figured it would work better for Medea as she and Tomoko are more mystically inclined characters.
As for Sakura she can still get her own Switch plot later, I'm actually leaning towards her to be the one who becomes the Gemini Horrorscope, yeah I know that Yuki was the one who became Gemini in the show but, given that Dark Sakura is a thing, it works for Sakura too.
In addition to that we got to see teenage Medea interact with her Caster self thus awakening gaining the ability to use her power. Also that as well as learn that Artoria and the have different last names to their past selves, although those last names all have some relation to their past selves/their legends.
Artoria Avalon- Avalon, the ever distinct utopia from the King Arthur myth.
Cu Dundalk- Dundalk is a town in Ireland whose motto is Mé do rug Cú Chulainn cróga which translates to "I gave birth to brave Cú Chulainn".
Medea Colchis- Colchis the kingdom that Medea's father, King Aeëtes, ruled over.
Ana Serifos- Serifos was the island that the Gorgon Medusa resided on along her sisters Euryale and Stheno. And yes she goes by Ana, the alias Medusa's Lily self went by in FGO, cos even with all the weird names parents call their children today, I seriously doubt anyone in the modern day would name their child Medusa.
While I could have just had modern day Artoria and the other reincarnated Servants share the same full name as their Servant selves, I figured giving them a different last name would, despite sharing similar traits, allows them to be their own person. So while Artoria Avalon might be a reincarnation of Artoria Pendragon, at the end of the day she's still her own person with her own goals and ambitions.
On the toku front Bonnboomger and Gotchard can't be more different right now. Boonboomger is in a slow period right now as tends to happen with Sentai during the summer period. Boon Red got his series mandated power up into Boon Red 119 and I gotta say I think it looks pretty good. I also like how they've handled it so far, first Taiya got his power up, Boonboomger Leon was introduced in the previous episode where it got to stand out and in the next episode we're getting Boonboomger Robo 119.
Meanwhile with Gotchard, its in its final stretch of episodes before the curtain closes on the Alchemist Rider (seriously where has the time gone), until we get both the crossover movie as well as the post series stuff, and Gavv will take its place. Still trying to wrap my head around the idea of a candy themed Kamen Rider, part of me wants to believe that the villains are going to be an organisation of dentists, then again the same thing was said about Gaim and it turned out to be a great show so hopefully Gavv will surprise us.
Anyway, the room I'm in is getting warmer so I'm gonna wrap this up before it becomes unbearably hot again. As always leave a review if you feel so inclined, feedback is always appreciated, and I'll catch you all in two weeks for the next chapter.
Until next time, peace out y'all.
