Grumbling, I turned over trying to get that last bit of sleep possible. I wasn't so much as dreading the day so much as I didn't want to get started. Mercifully, I seemed to have to woke up just before my alarm started blaring its annoying tone. I just had to keep my eyes closed and sink further into my soft, warm scratchy bed. It's a shame that wave had other ideas.
"AH gak, fuck, akk!" I yelled, stumbling up the beach away from the waves that had so rudely woke me up. I got halfway up the beach before my brain restarted. Numbly I turned around and was greeted with a sight I wasn't prepared for.
Beautiful crystal clear ocean water marred only by the foamy white of cresting waves. I stood on golden sands littered with shells and the occasional seaweed clump. The sky was filled with oranges and reds as the sight of a rising sun slowly woke the world around me up. All in all, it was a sight straight out of a postcard from a Tahiti vacation. The major problem was I lived nowhere near an ocean.
I dropped to my ass on the beach as I tried to make sense of my situation. My hands slapped the sides of my head as I tried to run down to myself what I could remember. I did wake up, my alarm had gone off at 2am for work like it always does. I got a shower, dressed, grabbed my lunch, and was out the door at 2:30 like always. I was on the road in the dead of night on the way to my job at the metal foundry. It wasn't a glorious or even easy job but it pays my bills for the last 2 years after dropping out of college.
"So what went wrong?" I said concentrating.
Screeching tires and blinding lights. Shearing metal and white hot blinding pain pain pain.
"GAH!" I gasped, clutching my head harder as the feeling of a migraine came on.
I rolled onto my side and threw up what little I had in my stomach. "What in the world was that…"
I heaved myself up onto my feet and tried to get my orientation. Looking ahead I saw a fear of mine. A jungle. A godforsaken jungle. Don't get me wrong, a jungle is all well and fine until you learn about all of the higher specialized creatures that live in a jungle. That's not to even mention the diseases and their carriers, the bugs.
"Oh god damn it." I cursed, thoughts of my failed Rimworld colonies danced in my head as I tried to process and think about my next steps. My thoughts were interrupted by a cry that I knew by heart and soul.
"WINGULL!"
I froze in my tracks at that. I knew that cry. Everyone on the planet under 40 knew that cry. I grew up on that cry. Pokémon Ruby was my first game. It was what started a lifelong addiction to digital media. I had played all the games, watched all the seasons of the anime and had a binder filled with Pokémon cards. I turned to the origin of the cry searching for a form I knew all too well. I found the colors I was looking for, white with blue accents and a hint of yellow, but that was as far as I got in recognizing Wingull. Instead I locked eyes on what I could only call a Pokemorph.
Standing on the sand shaking her feathers out was someone that resembled a Wingull. She only stood around three feet tall and couldn't have been more than forty pounds but she had many characteristics like the Seagull Pokémon. Where her arms should be was two large flat and wide wings that could catch the salty air rising from ocean waves. Her legs ended in yellow bird-like claws that she was using to preen a few feathers. Her body was slim with a small chest and pert butt and was covered in feathers. Before long she seemed satisfied with her preening and looked out over the sea. Her eyes weren't a long vertical slit but had a more almond shape. On a closer look it wasn't entirely human, as her pupil was surrounded by a yellow sclera that was more fitting on a bird of prey than something so human looking.
"Wingull, gull, wing!" She shouted before flapping her wings out and getting a running start down the beach and started flying out over the ocean. It seemed as if that was something of an unofficial cue as more of the same bird-like people started flying off rocks and trees nearby. The jungle started moving to life as I whirl around to take in the sights of these Pokegirls. Some were easy to identify, such as the Pokegirl with a Ledyba's carapace and insect-like wings keeping her small body aloft. Others looked almost human from a distance, ignoring the nudity.
I was surprised at the plump pink girl waddling past me. Her soft chest and butt jiggling with every step dragging a tail behind her. She walked to the shore before turning around and dunking the tail into the surf and promptly closed her eyes and fell asleep. I got to learn first hand the anime snot bubble was a thing seeing that.
"Oh my god…" I was in pure disbelief. Everywhere I turned there was a new Pokegirl. The pure shock was the only thing keeping my blood from relocating itself around my body and even that was just pushing it.
"Okay deep breaths. Deep breaths." I couldn't afford to panic. I was very obviously not in the same world anymore. However that didn't change the fact I was in the wild with no supplies, no map and no earthly clue which way I was supposed to go.
First things first, I have to check what I have on me. Looking down I realized also for the first time another major problem.
"What the hell, I know I'm not this short." I angrily said. I wasn't my same height that was obvious. I knew I wasn't the tallest or skinniest around but I respected my 5 '8, dad body stature enough to know when something was wrong. At best guess I could only imagine I was 3'5 and was several hundred pounds lighter. The clothes I wore were much smaller too. I was wearing a simple gray T-shirt and basketball shorts. My worn black converse and ankle socks were a familiar if smaller sight. Looking down at my hands showed they weren't as rough as they once were from manual labor, nor were they as hairy. Moving to the water I took a closer look at my face and was shocked to see a face I should only have from memories and photographs.
Smooth and wide eyed was a younger me staring back. Touching my face to confirm I couldn't believe it. Gone was the acne scars of my teenage years and the beard I had so lovingly grown once I got into college. I still had my chocolate brown eyes and hair. I couldn't tell how old I was but I was definitely younger than I once was. Shock turned quickly to horror and then panic.
'Oh god I'm a kid again how did this happen, why did this happen who did this, I'm so small, how am I gonna survive what am I gonna do doesthismeanIhavetogothroughpubertyagi-' Slapping myself to break that train of thought. I took another deep breath and started thinking.
Calm down. It's not the end of the world. Mr. Bright Side remember? Look around you. You're in a literal magical world filled to the brim with adventure. You're in a position you said you would kill for only a few days ago.
That served to calm me down. I was in a dream position. Somehow, some way I was in a Pokémon world. Granted it was a rather horny world, if the Slowpoke girl fishing next to me was any indication. It was still an anime world. Friendship and love would save the day!
Looking around I saw that the Pokegirls were largely ignoring me. It seems they had their own lives to worry about some random kid having a breakdown. I turned to the jungle and set my mind straight by making a list
"First thing, find clean water and edible food. Second thing, find shelter. Third thing, find out what region you're in. Last thing, Catch a Pokémon...or Pokegirl as it were." I can panic and introspect all I want later. For now I was surviving until the next day. I smiled to myself "Well I did always want to be a champion."
"Note to self, Hiking is much, much easier when small." I wasn't a particularly avid hiker before but needs must. I had been traveling in a hopefully straight line for what felt like an hour now. At least I had ample entertainment on my way. I was putting my Pokémon knowledge to the test to identify what Pokegirls I could see. Bug Types seemed to be the most abundant I could find. They also had a large variation in shape and size. I probably spent 10 minutes staring at the first Caterpie I saw.
She seems to go further to a centaur look than human or Pokémon. Her upper half was human. Long green hair cascaded down her body with long bangs covering her face. Near the top of her head the hair colors to look like large eyes. She had a flat chest covered with silk wrappings. I couldn't see how her body connected to her lower half but I did see a small belly button on her human half. She was carrying a small basket of silk in her arms that was filled with large palm fronds. Her lower body was that of a long worm like creature. The same green coloring with yellow circles that are iconic to Caterpie were on her body. 4 legs ending in a hoof-like foot carried her slowly around the brush. She eventually caught me staring and blushed before scurrying off into the underbrush. I tried to apologize but she was already gone.
Forging ahead I thought about the possible Region I was in. A tropical jungle limited the locations greatly. Hoenn or Alola were great contenders. The latter even moreso. It was my understanding that Sinnoh would be too cold for a tropical forest like this, even if you factored in the marshlands. Kanto and Johto were more forested but were more temperate. Galar and Kalos held the same likelihood due to their real world counterparts being temperate and hilly. Unova was loosely based around the US but as varied of a landscape the US has tropical rainforests were more our neighbors to the south's forte than ours.
I shuddered at the thought of Paldea. I didn't have much experience with the Gen 9 games and didn't know how the anime was progressing without Ash. That wasn't to even mention the other regions from side games like Colosseum or the Ranger series.
"At least I'm not in a Mystery Dungeon." I chuckled to myself. There wasn't much point in thinking about it too hard. I would have to find a town and ask to really know for sure. It was that or find a Pokegirl that resembled something utterly unique to a region.
Looking ahead I saw a break in the tree line and jogged ahead eagerly. When I broke through I felt my breath be taken away. A field of wildflowers spanned out before me. Beautiful colors danced around in a gentle breeze sweeping the field. A small stream cut through the middle and seemed to meander off further into the island. I couldn't help but smile as I strolled through the field. It wasn't abandoned either.
The field was abuzz with all kinds of Pokegirls. Butterfree like girls floated through the air spreading pollen with each wing flap. By the stream was a group of blue skinned girls with flat webbed tails, Poliwags if I had to guess. They tumbled over each other wrestling under the watchful eye of an older blue skinned girl that had to be a Poliwhirl. I also got 2 separate confirmations of where I was.
The first was a group of Pokegirls. Rat-like noses flanked by large whiskers sat on the girls' faces. They had black fur covering most of their bodies except on their bellies and cheeks. A long furry tail curled from the behinds. They had perky B cup breasts that bounced as they moved through the field surveying around them. They didn't avoid me but seemed to watch me for a little longer than they did any Pokegirls around them. I smiled at the sight of them which did earn me a small buck toothed smile back. A rat-like Pokegirl could only be Rattata. Combined with the dark fur it meant one thing, Alolan Rattata.
The second was much more…forceful in her introduction. I was watching the Pokegirls as I walked to the stream before a buzzing started right in front of my face.
"Gah! What the…" I jumped back at the buzzing in front of me. The Pokegirl before me looked like she was right out of a Disney fantasy. She couldn't have been more than 10 inches tall. Her arms and legs were covered with a yellow fuzz that reminded me of a bumblebee. A cute little angel face was framed with bright yellow hair in a bob cut with a glowing smile. She had a large chest for her micro size. She was doing a bunch of aerial tricks before slowing down to a hover to look at me.
I held my hands out, which she took as an invitation and landed letting me get a good look at her wings. Much like a fly's wings I could see the veins in the membrane but they also had a blue and pink coloration to them. She proudly puffed out her chest with a cocky smile with a declaration of her namesake.
"Cutie! Cutiefly, fly!" She looked up at me with a bright smile and wide eyes.
"Hey there. It's good to meet you Cutiefly." I said to her, "That was some fancy flying."
That seemed to have a good effect on her as she did a little twirl in my hands. "Fly, Fly!" She exclaimed at me.
I kept walking towards the stream which she seemed okay with. It was time to get a little information. Pokémon were much smarter than animals back on Earth and while she might not be able to speak English she seemed expressive enough for a good round of charades.
"Say, Cutiefly," I spoke as I reached the water and knelt beside it still holding her out from me. She gave me her full attention as she turned to me. "I'm a little lost. I don't really know where I am and don't know my way back to where humans live. Do you know which way to a town?" I asked.
Cutiefly blinked before looking up with a thoughtful expression. She gave me a regretful look as she shook her head. I signed at that but expected as much.
"That's alright. Do you know anywhere I can find some shelter?" If I couldn't find a town right away I needed at least a place to spend the night. That seemed to perk her up as she jumped up and down a little.
"Cutiefly, Cutie, Fly, fly! Cutiefly!" She buzzed herself to her feet before grabbing my fingers to "help me to my own." I couldn't help but laugh and smile at her little antics. Rather than making me put my hands out she flew to my shoulder and sat down on it, placing a hand against my cheek for balance. She pointed excitedly upstream towards the forest.
"Thanks Cutiefly. You're a lifesaver!" I smiled as I walked upstream away from the flower field. I would have liked to stick around and watch some of the Pokegirls but I had to prioritize and who was I to look a gift fly in the mouth?
Cutiefly was a comforting weight as I walked following the stream. She hummed to keep us entertained and kicked her legs out as we went. I had to admit the little Fairy Type was quickly growing on me. Damn my weakness for cute behavior and cute girls.
The walk actually didn't take that long. When we got close she grew more excited until we entered a clearing that she was obviously leading us to. It was large and perfect on inspection. The stream was actually coming from a waterfall. Through the crystal clear falling waters I could see a small cave that would be perfect for shelter. On one side of the groves I saw a couple trees with plump yellow fruits hanging down. I walked closer and pulled one down. It looked like a small yellow pear. I smiled down and took a bite before holding it out of Cutiefly to take her own small bite of the Sitrus berry.
It wasn't particularly sweet or tart but I wasn't particularly picky at this point. It had been several hours since I ate at this point. I grimaced at the reminder that I still have no idea how I ended up in this world and the pain at trying to recall.
The other half of the grotto was flat and grassy. There were a few shrubs lining the edge of the woods that were probably nests for a Pokegirl of some kind. There were a few hanging around but it seems they relaxed upon seeing Cutiefly sitting on my shoulder.
Overall this was an ideal place to campout. Providing no rain I could always just sleep on the soft grass on the banks of the stream. The stream itself provides fresh water. Food in the form of Sitrus Berries was abundant provided I harvested right. I glanced at the cave.
"Hey Cutiefly" I said, catching her attention from the Sitrus Berry she had somehow eaten half of, "There's no one that lives in that cave right?"
Cutiefly blinked before nodding her head. She took to the air before motioning me towards the side where you could walk behind the curtain of water. The cave itself wasn't very deep. Barely a hole in the ground really. It would hold me and Cutiefly comfortably and dry.
"This place is perfect Cutiefly. I don't know how I could possibly thank you." She blushed and waved me off.
"You're local around her right? That's why you were able to guide us here. Is there any chance you could get us a little basket like a Caterpie I saw earlier?"
She smiled and with a little salute flew off towards one of the trees where a Caterpie was resting. I walked out after her and saw her excitedly talking to the Caterpie who, while I could see her face behind the bangs, seemed to be just as excited. I move to the berry bushes hoping I could carry them back in a little silk bag rather than just arm cradle them.
As I picked through the bushes and trees I saw something that made me gasp. A red and white sphere with a black central band and white button sat lost in the bushes. It was a little faded in color and a bit dirty but when I grabbed it glowed slightly. Like a holographic screen, it turned a little transparent showing the inner wiring and what looked like little solar panels. I had in my hands the icons of icons. A fully functional pokeball.
I couldn't believe my luck until I remembered that pokeball were often picked up in the wild while playing the games. It made sense really. Trainers would probably throw a ball and miss and rather than search for it just leave it behind.
Thoughts of offering to catch Cutiefly danced around my head before I shook them away. It felt like a betrayal for all she helped me so far. Not only that but I had no idea how a pokeball even worked. There had to be some kind of registration process. For all I knew it could be I caught Cutiefly and then the ball zips off to whoever bought this in the first place. I was able to downsize the ball before pocketing it. I would cross that bridge when I got there.
Cutiefly chose that moment to appear with all the grace of a wrecking ball. Turns out a Caterpie silk basket was just a little on the heavy side for her. Sure she was able to get it across the field but in doing so she dropped right onto the back of my head.
"Sorry Cutiefly I should have offered to carry that for you, it probably would have saved me the headache" I chuckled and reached down to pick her up. That snapped her out of her daze and she gave me a cute pout as I set her up on my shoulder. My chuckle turned into full on laughter when she started to pound the side of my head with her little fists. "Sorry sorry I got a little distracted. I'll show you later, it was pretty interesting."
She mercifully let me off the hook but decided to use the crook of my neck as a headrest and I gathered the fruit. The silk basket the Caterpie made was very soft but also very strong. It seemed to hold its shape well and it could hold a good bit of fruit.
With a full basket I crossed over the clearing to the Caterpie who had gone back to lounging on her branch. She lifted up on my approach probably to either run or attack if I did anything suspicious.
"Thank you very much for the basket. The craftsmanship is amazing." I said offering a berry to the larger bug type. She looks surprised before smiling and accepting the berry.
Gathering the food into the cave I looked at the sky. It was getting late if the faint stars appearing and slight golden streaks in the sky were anything to go by. Thankfully the sky was clear of clouds. I gathered some firewood, stones and kindling quickly to make an impromptu survival fire. Setting to work on the fire, Cutiefly decided to nap on my legs until I so rudely woke her up when I finally got some fire to catch.
By the time I had done that it was already very late. The only light being the moon in the sky and the campfire I had built. I set a few of the berries to cook on it before handing the biggest of the berries in apology to Cutiefly, to her great delight.
Seriously I couldn't tell if she was trying to eat the berry or have sex with it with how she was climbing on top of it. Looking into the fire gave me a lot of time to think, something she took notice of. It wasn't long before I heard buzzing and I felt a soft hand lay on my cheek. Looking at her I could almost hear the questions.
Smiling, I tried to muster up positive thoughts. "Don't worry Cutiefly, just some worried thoughts." That didn't seem to set her at ease before I thought of what I wanted to say. I was in the Pokémon world, no matter how horny it was! This was a chance to start living an amazing life. I steeled myself before speaking up again.
"Say, Cutiefly, there's something I wanted to talk to you about." I got her full attention with that if the way she stopped buzzing and settled herself on my hands. "I was pretty lost when you found me. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't have made near as much progress as I have today."
She preened a little at that, puffing her chest out. I had to throw the dirty thoughts about her little pink nipples out of my head quickly.
"Point is you really saved my hide. I don't wanna just get out of this forest. I don't know how I ended up here but I do know I wanna do great things." I had her full attention now. Her big eyes staring into mine.
"I wanna travel and see the world, meet new people, find new challenges. I wanna be at the top of training Pokegirls like you." Her blush deepened and she leaned forward to sit on her legs.
"I need a good partner to do that. Someone I can trust and depend on and that can depend on me." I pulled the pokeball and I saw her breath hitch. "I found this earlier while gathering. I don't even know how it works. It might be a little selfish after what you've done for me so far but I'm asking anyway. If we can figure this pokeball out, will you be my first catch?"
It seems she was into the idea. She was practically vibrating with every world. Quickly a game of charades began as she literally walked me through the steps.
"Okay expand the ball," double pressing the button like I had seen on the show the ball quickly expanded to full size. She nodded excitedly before zipping down to grab my index finger and placed it over the ball. A yellow light started to circle the exterior of the button until it flashed green. Placing my finger against the button causes it to flash green once again.
I almost facepalmed. I almost couldn't believe my stupidity. This was a world that had electronics that would shrink a Onix and have it fit inside a little ball. Of course they would have fingerprint biometrics.
I looked at Cutiefly who was literally buzzing with excitement. "Alright here we go!" I tossed the ball into the air and she flew to nearly tackle it out of the air. The ball opened and she was swiftly surrounded in a red light before it overtook her. The light then retreated in and shut the ball. When it landed I watched with bated breath as it shook 3 times before a little chime was heard. I scooped my first Pokegirl up and checked the ball.
Where once it was a translucent top there was now a hologram of Cutiefly. She had posed herself into what I could only call a magical girl pose. One leg up, both hands with V-signs, and a cute wink. It was downright adorable and sexy considering her still nude form.
I threw the ball to release her and was greeted by a zipping, buzzing missile. I could tell how ecstatic she was. Shouts of "Cutiefly!" echoed around the small cave as she did her level best to burn off energy.
I smiled and laughed. "Well, it looks like we're stuck with each other now." She quickly buzzed over and surprised me with a kiss. It was innocent and lovely at first before she slipped her tiny tongue into my mouth to explore. I couldn't help but return it as she was so eager. When she pulled away I had the taste of honey on my tongue.
"Woah…" surprised and shocked I couldn't muster more than that. I shouldn't have been surprised, there were more than enough fanfics to cover the topic of Pokemorph and Human…relationships for lack of a better term.
I sighed. "I could get used to that. Just gotta play by the world's rules. It's less sanity draining that way." I smiled. If it made her happy I wouldn't complain.
I could definitely complain about the fuzzy ballistic missile that rammed into my face and knocked me out though
