An open plain seemingly stretching on for miles with a few trees here and there accompanied by some rocks, small patches of water and hills, illuminated by the sun shining high above in the sky indicating it was about halfway through the day. It was mostly silent aside from the noise created by a blue plane flying close to the ground with a symbol of two yellow Tails on the back of the plane, known to many as the Tornado; It was being flown by a blue eyed yellow fox with white fur on his chest and two Tails in the back that could let him fly he's known as Tails the fox.
In the cockpit of the Tornado was green radar searching the area for something beeping once in a while but coming up short effectively becoming more like white noise to the foxes ears until his concentration was broken by a familiar voice, "yo Tails, what are you doing here? another experiment?". The question was asked by a blue hedgehog with six quills pointing down from his head and two more at the shoulders and while the majority of his body was blue his arms, chest and bottom half of his face was tan. He was running as fast as the plane before jumping off the ground onto the plane landing in a crouched position locking his greens eyes with Tails eyes while giving a familiar smile he is Sonic the hedgehog also known as the fastest thing alive.
"Sonic!, what are you doing here" returning a smile to his unexpected guest
"You know me Tails just getting a small jog in" he chuckled as stood up straight embracing the wind
"Fair enough, but to answer your question Rouge asked me to help her out she says GUN's been on high alert around this area"
"Shouldn't she be here helping you?"
"She said she was going to get Shadow to help while I scout and then we could meet up"
"If Shadows needed for this and GUN is on high alert, think it's Eggman?"
As Tails opened his mouth to respond his radar began to beep and a new yellow color began to display itself slowly covering the entire radar as the plane flew further into the plains below. Tails spared a glance at Sonic who shrugged "only one way to find out"
"Welp here we go, landing tornado now" as Tails finished his sentence wheels began to come out the bottom of the aircraft as it began to descend even lower than it already was until it touched the ground and started slowing down to a halt, leaving the two in a barren looking part of the plains where not even grass grew. As Sonic hopped off the plane Tails grabbed a yellow tablet like device with two antennas on top with cyan orbs on top of the antennas it was engraved with the name 'Miles Electronics; Before hopping out of his seat and flying toward Sonic with the use of his Tails.
"Is it just me Tails or is it really cold here?" the hedgehog asked holding his elbows while shivering slightly
"It's not just you" the fox proceeded to tap on his screen a few times before starting again."Holy cow Sonic the whole area in a mile radius is abnormally cold and look at the center of the reading it hits negatives over there". The fox even with all his fur was beginning to feel the cold seep in.
"I don't suppose we could take the tornado in over there" Sonic asked looking back to his friend
"No I think it would be better if we walked it" as Tails finished his statement he typed a few more buttons into his device before motioning to Sonic for them to start walking forward.

Meanwhile in a dark building with few lights a man with no hair aside from his mustache wearing glasses with blue lenses that make it so you cant see his eyes as well as a red tailcoat jacket with four horizontal white stripes that had a gold button at the end of each stripe; To match he wore with it almost pure black pants interrupted only by a small bit of gray that seems to connect the pants to his shoes making his clothes seem more like a jumpsuit, the man was Eggman also known as the world's evil genius.
Eggman was typing quickly onto his keyboard almost in complete silence until he spoke up talking into the darkness of the room."The sequence has already begun but once I hit this button the main event will begin and my side of the deal will be complete are you ready to begin" a few seconds of silence was heard before Eggman spoke up again "Very well I await your half of the bargain then". As he finished his sentence he reeled back his arm spinning it around a full three hundred and sixty degrees before pressing the button as his screen darkened reflecting his face showing the massive grin he had.

Back in the plains with Sonic and Tails they had reached what the scanner claimed to be the center of the anomaly but nothing was there except the freezing air, for a brief moment they thought they must be in the wrong spot until the ground began to shake and split apart. Sonic jumped back a few yards and Tails used his namesakes to propel himself off the floor as he backed off as well. As the ground began to fully break apart a black metal ball the true size of the entity became more apparent requiring the two to back up even further as a sphere emerged from the ground dwarfing their size by at least ten times being thirty feet tall with twelve eyes, eight on the side of the sphere spread equally and four up on top staring at the blue sky with the sun in the sphere was pushed higher and higher far past the thirty foot mark by eight metal legs four attached to the middle part being eighty feet long and able to touch the floor while the other four legs sat on bottom with fifty feet of length, the design seeming to have come from a spider at some point.
"I'm just going to go on a limb here and say Eggman" the hedgehog stated
"Definitely, but why here?" Tails agreed while adding his own inquiry
"We'll just have to wreck it and find out, you ready buddy" The speed demon stated again adrenaline beginning to pump at the idea.
Tails gave Sonic a nod before flying towards the robot spider examining all around it as Sonic ran along its legs seeing if there was a way to trip it up.

Back at the tornado a heel with a pink heart stepped forward onto the ground that had begun to turn a whitish blue as ice froze over.
"My my it is cold here don't you think Shadow"The Female talking was a bat with a tan body as well as the lower half of her face but the rest of her head including her ears were white followed by black wings; she wore a black outfit that ended under her arms, over her chest was a pink heart with white edges matching the outfit she wore white heels that went up to her knee both heels were pink on the bottom and at the cuff while the point of the heels had pink hearts, her arms had gloves that went up to her elbows and were all white aside from the pink cuffs at her elbow. She is Rouge the bat, a spy for GUN and a treasure hunter on her own time.
Behind her was a mostly all black male hedgehog he had six quills with the middle two pointing down and the other four pointing up each quill having a red streak in it, his eyes also had a redstreak around it matching with his already red eyes, and his arms had red streaks. On his hands were white gloves he also had red with black border braces with a gold ring on top both hands; while his feet had hover shoes that were gold on the bottom red on the edges half black in the back and white in the front like his gloves his shoes also had red and black braces with gold rings on top, his chest had a white tuft of fur and the bottom half of his face was tan. He is Shadow the hedgehog, the ultimate life form and like Rouge he is a GUN operative.
"It would seem Tails is already investigating" as Shadow talked he crouched down and looked at the ground seeing two sets of footprints frost reaching over the dirt making them all the more obvious before standing up and locking his eyes with Rouge's turquoise eyes "and he's not alone, you only asked him right"
"That's right he was the only one at his workshop when I came by and I came after you right after, but who knows maybe he ran into Sonic or knuckles on the way". She stated nonchalantly as her ears began to twitch from a sudden noise in the distance turning to look towards the source of the noise as the ground began to shake ever so slightly albeit not as strong as it was shaking at the source of the comotion."But something big is going on let's go". Rouge rushed into the cold with her wings carrying her as shadow ran by her side.

Back at the robot a fog was beginning to set in and the spider-like bot was at full height of eighty feet and one of its lower four legs had been dented all over by Sonic's homing attacks and one of its eight eyes on the side were blinded by some of Tails' gadgets, although it had done nothing but get hit seemingly refusing to fight back.
"This thing is tough, Tails bring me up high" Sonic yelled to the fox above.
Doing as Sonic said Tails went to the ground and lifted Sonic by the hands and put all his strength ino rising as fast as he could to the sky so he was just as high as the bot "this high enough Sonic" Tails was panting a little bit trying to catch his breath.
"Its perfect launch me" Once again doing as instructed Tails spun in a circle three times before letting go launching Sonic towards the bot as he started spinning mid air turning into a ball like saw blade and aimed right for the dented lower leg piercing through despite all its armor leaving a massive hole that almost completely severed the leg. However the spider buckling from the sudden impact and the damaged leg now unable to support itself finally started moving; swinging its damaged leg back, getting ready to try and kick the blue hedgehog before a yellow lance made of energy flew through the thinner parts of the leg created by the hole completely severing it.
Sonic turned in the direction of where the lance came from although slightly obscured by the picked up dust launched from the falling leg but knowing exactly who it was shouted "Shadow! Rouge! thanks for the save" he gave a smirk and a thumbs up at the two GUN operatives silhouettes
"So this is what GUN is worried about?" Rouge asked
"Shadow Sonic Rouge" Tails had now flown down towards the new arrivals "I did a scan and the upper legs aren't meant to hold it up only the lower legs"
"So how does that help" Sonic asked
"Well the upper legs are way weaker but it means we have less parts to target and look at the energy scanner that thing is building up a lot of energy i dont think its here to fight"
As if to prove Tails point the robot had not moved since it tried to kick Sonic although its eyes were now watching the four waiting."so what's the plan fox boy" Rouge inquired
"Simple Shadow reach its eyes with your chaos control and take them out Rouge support him how you can, while Sonic and I take out the lower legs"
Shadow gave a nod while Rouge smiled and Sonic gave a thumbs up before they started moving as Sonic and Tails went after the legs Shadow used his chaos snap to teleport to the first eye and went to fire another chaos lance taking out the eye. With two of the eight side eyes gone he moved on to the third eye when the robot decided it was time to defend itself, raising its upper legs to cover the four eyes on top of the sphere.
"Your attack must have fried a few of its chips, it's not even defending what we were attacking" Rouge said this as though she was disappointed in the robot as she flew next to the airborne Shadow grabbing him so he wouldn't fall back down.
"Remember it's got another goal let finish our part" He chaos snapped out of her arms to the next eye as Rouge gave him a annoyed look and started flying towards the other eyes placing bombs on some of them and drilling out the others with her own attacks as Shadow continued attack with his fist, homing attacks, and chaos spears..
Back at the floor Sonic and Tails were throwing a barrage of attacks that were not doing much "this isnt working got any more plans Tails" Sonic said growing frustrated at the strength of the robots armor.
"I think if we spin dash together we could try to saw it, we may be able to get two of them at once if we angle it correctly" the fox responded quickly
Sonic turned to where Tails was standing, smiled and ran up to him "then let's do it to it" they began spinning in place as a blue and yellow ball clearing up some of the fog around them as the frozen dirt underneath them started to chip away and get blown into the wind they generated. Once they were spinning fast enough they launched themselves at the legs landing at around half the legs height and cutting through quick and cleanly before hitting the second which took a few seconds longer as their momentum was slowed down.
With only one leg left and no eyes able to see what's going on the robot started to topple over until one of the legs covering the eyes opposite of the remaining leg pushed against the floor pushing itself upright but creaking from the weight put on the structurally weaker leg. The remaining three top legs rose up and pointed at the sun in the sky; From the center of the sphere a second one came out attached to the floor that brought it up. It was almost perfectly clear glass if not for the blue and cyan diamond shaped emeralds inside it.
"The chaos emeralds?!" Rouge exclaimed before the three legs fired a beam from each of their points at the sky making a black rift form in the sky blocking the sun from anyone near the robot before closing just a few seconds where the rift was a unconscious person could be seen falling from the sky; it was an extremely fluffy almost all black wolf except for some white on the tips of his ears, tip of his tail, some on his left arms shoulder as well as wrist, and extra tuft of white fur on his chest like Shadows he wore a typical white gloves, red scarf, and black boots with green seemingly spray painted style matched with dark purple laces.
"Rouge catch him" Shadow shouted at Rouge seeing the boy fall from the sky as he teleported to the emeralds container ignoring the sudden thumping noises coming from within the robot. WIth one swift swipe breaking the glass holding the emeralds and grabbing them as Sonic and Tails fly over and land on the top of the robot.
"The spiders down right what's with the noise?" Sonic asked, looking near where the emeralds once were as a dent being made from the inside started to get bigger and bigger until a sparking hedgehog that looked like Sonic if not for the clear fact it was metallic and had a jet engine in his torso. Its red eyes, which typically only sought Sonic to see his end, looked up into the sky where Rouge had just caught the fallen wolf before flying after her.
"What's Metal doing here!?" Tails exclaimed, pulling out his Miles Electric "and why is he sparking like that?"
"There is no time for that now, chaos control!" seeing his teammate in potential danger Shadow teleport into Metal's way and gave a overhead kick to Metal sending him crashing back into the robot sparking even worse than before.
Standing up once again, Metal started looking around at the faces who were now getting into stance ready to fight as if he had never seen them before, his head now twitching and his left hand smoking as if he had been through a massive beating. His jet engine once again began to shoot a blueish purple flame before smoke shot out and Metal Sonic collapsed.
"What, just happened Metal went down way to easy" Sonic remarked
Rouge having now landed with the others on the somehow still standing robot brought up the other strange occurrence."Thanks Shadow but let's focus on the kid since the fights over"
They all nodded and began to head to the tornado except Rouge who handed the wolf over to Tails while she went inside the robot searching for its core looking around she spotted a repair station where Metal likely sat yet it was frosted over and above it was the hole Metal had made to get out. At the core was many containers most likely to store the chaos emeralds power but strangest of all not a single eggman logo. Rouged placed a few bombs before heading to the tornado; seconds later an explosion was heard as large pieces of metal crashed into the floor and the fog was pushed in all directions making it more dense all around.
At the tornado Tails had put the wolf in the backseat and began to mess with the buttons in the cockpit, while Sonic and Shadow were tasked with breaking the ice off the wheels."doesn't this thing have a heater Tails" an annoyed Sonic called out to the pilot
"Yeah but it wasn't on and most of the tornados functions are now inactive"
"Just hurry up faker" Shadow added before Sonic could make another remark. By the time Rouge had returned and landed atop the tornado the last wheel was having its frost broken off.
"Rouge where should we go we can take him to central city or maybe-"
Tails was interrupted by Rouge as she started talking "actually I was thinking we could head to your workshop until he wakes up"
"But won't GUN want a report or something since we're done now?" Sonic chipped in as he and Shadow hopped on both sides of the tornado's wings.
"HA as far as they're concerned we aren't done"
"Alright then if you're sure, Tornado engage"
As the tornado took off into the air, Rouge told the others about what she saw in the robot. The ride had taken a surprisingly silent turn afterwards. Besides the noise coming from the plane and the wind passing by. Soon enough they landed just outside of Tails workshop which was a fairly large wooden house considering it needed space to house the tornado inside. There were two parts to Tails' home, the larger part that had his workshop and even an interior balcony as well as a smaller part that was his actual place of residence when he wasn't sleeping in the workshop after a long night of working on some gadgets. The inside was quite homey however with a nice bed, a round couch with a table in the middle, a clean kitchen as well as other required necessities and even a hammock for when Sonic was around.
Hopping out of his seat, Tails grabbed the wolf out of the passenger seat and walked towards his home as the others followed. Tails walked on toward his bed to set down the wolf as Sonic jumped into the hammock and the gun operatives took a seat at the couch.
After Tails returned the four had a short discussion in which they decided to wait for the wolf to tell his side of the story before figuring out what to tell GUN, much less what to do themselves. knowing it may take a while and that it was already getting late, Tails began to cook food for them all.
Eventually after two hours the wolf began to stir, waking up and taking in the new environment hearing the creak of the bed Shadow stood up and began heading to the wolf as the others finally catching on began to follow.
"Let's make this quick" Shadow said crossing his arms "who are you"
The wolf looked at Shadow and then the others behind him with bright golden eyes and let out an awkward smile and wave only earning a bigger frown from Shadow sending a slight shiver down his back "I I'm Hydra Ozero and I hail from the uh, well I guess I only know my name actually"
Shadow not expecting that answer drops his frown for a more surprised guilty face "you don't remember?"Shadow asked quietly, "In that case what do you remember?" The others stayed silent knowing Shadow would likely be the best at helping the wolf.
"I'm not entirely sure I feel like I was about to do something really important I think"
"Hydra i'm going to take you to GUN" shadow stated almost immediately after gaining shocked faces from everyone
"Shadow you can't be doing what I think you are" Sonic said now facing Shadow
"Thats cause im not Rouge was put on the mission not me as far as they know im doing what I please, i'll simply ask them to help me find his home and you will come with me Sonic claiming you asked for my help with this"
"What about me Shadow" Rouge asked
"You can come by after I arrive to report say it took so long because you and Tails did an analysis dont talk about the rift though and take these" Shadow put his hands into his quills and pulled out the two chaos emeralds and handed them to Rouge gaining a confused look from the wolf as he stared at the gems.
"What are those" he asked pointing at the emeralds
"Those are chaos emeralds come with me. I'll explain to them and we can play something while we talk cause this is getting boring" Sonic said to the wolf as he pulled him along with Tails following behind wanting to join in on the fun.
"Didn't think you cared enough to try and get him home" Rouge said to Shadow while looking at her nails now that they were alone
"I've been in his position that's all it is i'll be back in the morning" Shadow responded before chaos snapping out the house, Rouge with a small smile on her face walked over to the boys to join in on the fun while they waited.
