2. Author notes

This section aims to explain why I wrote the fanfic and point out hidden references in the fic that might go unnoticed. I'll also share what was easiest and hardest to write, and finally, I'll mention potential upcoming fanfics. If anyone reads this, feel free to leave a comment on which fanfic you'd like to see next from the options I have or propose another idea. Well, let's get started.

Why did you write a fanfic with this theme and this couple?

I wanted to write about something I hadn't done before. Besides, Fortnite is very popular, and I wonder if this fanfic might surpass the Genshin ones, which I highly doubt, but there's no harm in trying.

What was the hardest part to write?

The lore of the game was difficult to find. There aren't many videos in Spanish that cover it, except for a few TikToks, but I didn't find much in-depth content. So I had t oread descriptions at the game and dialogues It's true that I didn't include much lore in the fic, but I wanted Persephone's story and the names of the factions to be correct, especially in this version.

What was the easiest part to write?

Writing Hope was very easy. I wanted to give her the spotlight, but I also didn't want her to fall apart immediately. My goal was for her to genuinely feel remorse because, in the game, although she clearly doesn't despise Jones, I feel that despite all the adventures they've had together fighting against the society, they treat each other coldly.

Trivia and references

I think this is the third or fourth fanfic in a row where I haven't included any nods or references. The truth is, I feel that they seem very forced. I still enjoy including Mexicanisms and that kind of thing, but I think it can ruin the experience for some readers.

What will the next fanfic be?

I don't know. I still want to write a teenage romance fanfic with blushes and all that, but I can't think of the necessary plot for it to develop well, and I don't have any couples that fit well into that dynamic. I could write another Yu-Gi-Oh fanfic, but if it's not Duel Monsters, it doesn't get many reads, so I'm hesitant to do it. Because i really wanted to write another Revolver/Aoi fanfic. I also thought about doing another Kingdom Hearts couple with Roxas, but I recently wrote another Kingdom Hearts fanfic, so I'm not sure. I'm not convinced. I accept ideas in the comments.
