royal rule breakers
"You're not allowed to be here!" someone whisper-yelled from behind him, and Theo knew he was in trouble. Turning around, he couldn't stop a snort from leaving his mouth.
"Well, neither are you, but you're still here," Theo mocked. He loved to see his cheeks turn red.
It wasn't something he wasn't accustomed to. Being the Crown Prince of Norway, Theo had many rules to follow, and even though he liked to bend the rules for his satisfaction once or twice (or as many times he could get away with), he knew his cousin did the same thing.
Especially when said cousin was the Crown Prince of Sweden.
"I thought we had agreed that neither one of us would watch any games of the Olympics?" Draco hissed as he checked the handball match happening.
Theo rolled his eyes, knowing that his cousin was such a sports fanatic, he wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to watch a match live—especially when Sweden was playing against Norway.
"I didn't promise anything to anyone. I was told by my lovely wife that we were going to watch the Opening Ceremony and that's what I'll still be doing tomorrow." Theo smiled, seeing Draco squint his eyes at him. "But no one forbade me from coming to watch a match—unlike you."
Draco scrunched up his face, trying to think of a retort, and Theo loved every minute of it—and it didn't hurt that Norway was killing Sweden while playing.
"Oh, shut up and just watch the game," Draco snapped, turning to the match, pulling his hat lower to hide his face.
Theo was delighted to see the Norwegian athletes being so good at the match; it made him proud of his country and people. He knew it was a blessing to be able to watch the Olympics in person, and he was even more blessed to have been invited to watch the Opening Ceremony in Paris.
He and his wife were using this trip to Paris as a babymoon since they would be having an heir in five months. Theo couldn't even hide how excited he was to be a father and the fact that Hermione was going to be having his baby.
During the break, Draco glanced at him and asked, "Does Hermione know you're here?"
"I told her I was going to watch a match. Why?" Theo said, looking around the arena. It looked incredible, and Theo hoped he could watch some matches here later, hopefully with Hermione.
"Just asking," Draco replied, seeming too focused on his cellphone, so Theo didn't care much about his cousin's inquiry.
The second time started, and Theo was getting more into the match and cheering a little louder now—but not so much that he was drawing attention to himself. He was so lost in the match that he never saw the people approaching him and Draco.
"You're not allowed to be here!" came the irritated voice behind him, and Theo turned pale before, very slowly, turning and coming face to face with Hermione Jean Granger Nott, Crown Princess of Norway—his very pregnant wife. "Theodore Benjamin Alexander Lindberg Haugen Nott, what do you think you're doing here?"
Theo cringed internally; Hermione only called him by his full name when she was pissed off at him, and to be calling him like that when they were in public, he knew she was beyond furious.
"Sweetie, what—" Theo tried to say, but Hermione was on a roll and wasn't going to be stopped by his sweet-talking.
"I thought we had agreed you wouldn't come! I know I'm not the most attractive at the moment, but I never thought you would have come here to ogle the athletes! I thought you respected them!" Hermione berated him, with tears in her eyes, and Theo's heart hurt at her accusations.
How could Hermione think that of him? She was even more gorgeous now, especially when she was carrying the proof of their love. And he knew women could be a little sensitive during pregnancy, especially because of the hormones.
"Hermione, sweetie, you can't believe I came here for this reason," Theo said, standing up and coming to hug Hermione, who tried to push him away but didn't succeed. "I only came here to see Drake's team lose and celebrate our athletes. I could even imagine our little princess there someday."
"Really?" Hermione asked in a small voice, looking at him with those gorgeous brown eyes that made him fall in love with her in the first place.
"Really, kjærlighet, you know I would never lie to you." Theo quickly kissed Hermione's lips before kissing her forehead. "How did you know I was here anyway?"
"Draco sent a message to Luna and we came here to see what was going on," Hermione said, motioning to Draco, who was probably getting an earful by his sister. Theo winced, knowing how Luna could be when she wanted.
"Well, since you are here and it seems like Norway is going to win anyway…what do you say about us returning to our hotel and having some time to ourselves?" Theo whispered in her ear, loving the way she shivered.
"On one condition," Hermione said, and Theo didn't like the glint of mischief in her eyes.
"We have to come back and watch the Australian water polo team," she replied with a smile that illuminated her face.
Theo groaned but knew he was going to do it anyway. He always did anything for Hermione.
He was screwed if they had a daughter.
