When the gaang woke up. They were in the hall having breakfast. Katara remembered that it was Aang's birthday. Sokka wanted to talk to Katara privately.
Sokka said "You know what day it is right?"
Katara said "Of course, I can't forget my own boyfriend's birthday."
Sokka said "Ok. Can you convince Aang to go out with you. Like for shopping or groceries or whatever it is. Make sure he stays away from the house for 1 hour."
Katara said "Ok, I'll try."
Aang looked a little sad. He thought no one remembered his birthday. Katara walked up to Aang and said "Can we go shopping after breakfast please?"
Aang said "Sure, I'll get ready."
Aang thought to himself "Why doesn't anyone remember my birthday. Especially Katara."
Katara came in their room and changed with Aang.
They went outside the gaang house. They went to the street mall. They saw a store called fashion corner. Katara said to go look there. Aang thought "Classic girl fashion, but best girlfriend ever!"
Katara went to the change-room. She wore a silk thread blue water tribe dress with white wave-like designs. It looked so beautiful on her. Aang thought he was dreaming.
Katara said "Does it look good?"
Aang said "I think I'm dreaming!"
Katara said "I think I'll take that as a big yes."
Aang said "So are you gonna buy it?"
Katara said "No, it's 15 gold pieces. I only have 9."
Aang knew he had 7 gold pieces in his pocket. He was planning on getting himself new boots. But he thought he will buy it later.
Aang said "Wait. I have 7 gold pieces. I can give you six to buy the dress."
Katara said "Oh, Sweetie you know you don't have to do that."
Aang said "I know, but I want to do this for you."
Katara said "Thanks Sweetie." She kissed him on the lips lightly.
They bought the dress. Aang saw an ice cream stand. Aang said "Sweetie, you want ice cream."
Katara said "Sure, but do we have enough money?"
Aang says "The stand is giving a special offer for 1 gold piece for 2 ice creams."
Katara said "Ok then, let's get it."
Shop Owner said "Hey there, how many ice creams?"
Aang said "2 please." He put a gold piece on the table. The shopkeeper took it.
The Shop Owner said "Ok, what flavours do you want."
Katara and Aang said "Mango" together.
They got their ice creams and went home.
Katara said "Now Aang. I recommend finishing your ice cream before you go in."
Aang said "Why?"
Katara said "It might spill on the floor. Please, do it for me."
Aang said "Ok."
After they finished their ice cream. Aang opened the door. The light were out. Then there were disco lights. The gaang including Katara said "SURPRISE!"
Aang got jumpscared and said "Wait, I thought you all forgot."
Katara said "Why would we Sweetie."
Aang said "Thanks guys!"
They had fun. Aang danced with Katara, They had cake. His favourite fruit pies were also there.
Aang said "How do you know how to make fruit pies."
Sokka said "Well, Wan Shi Tong's library had some recipes too."
The gaang laughed. Now, Aang knew he was of marrying age. So he planned something for next week.
