Aang is 15 and Katara is 16 turning 17. The gaang goes on a camping trip and the most powerful and strongest couple in the world also referred as Kataang cuddle to keep each other warm. They set off to Ba Sing Se and stop at Kiyoshi Island for a break. Azula and their allies tries to kidnap Katara to lure Aang to them. Read the rest to find out more. (MISCHIEF WARNING!)

9. The Proposal

Aang woke up early at 3 AM. He got ready quickly making sure Katara was asleep. He did not make much sound. He stepped out of the house and walked down the streets. He was going to a jewelry store for a ring. He was going to give it to Katara for the proposal he was about to plan. The jewelry store name was Shining Jewels. He walked in. Aang was instantly greeted by a shopkeeper.

The shopkeeper said "Oh, Avatar Aang! Great to be in your presence. What brings you here?"

Aang said "I am looking for a water tribe and air nomad wedding ring with diamonds on the borderline."

The shopkeeper said "Oh. Those are out of stock. But, if you can wait until tomorrow I can ask the jewel specialist to make you a ring."

Aang said "Great! What time tomorrow?"

The shopkeeper said "Come around 5 PM. It'll be ready by then."

Aang said "Are the diamonds real?"

The shopkeeper said "Yes, they are not lab grown. They are plucked straight from Volcano Cliftine (The tallest volcano ever)"

Aang said "Ok, what is the price."

The shopkeeper said "3000 gold pieces please."

Aang gave a bag of 1500 gold pieces.

Aang said "I gave 1500 gold pieces. I will pay the rest tomorrow."

Aang put 4 gold pieces in the tip jar.

The shopkeeper said "Great! Looking forward to seeing you again!"

Aang ran to Appa. They flew home and Aang quickly grabbed his uncarved bethrotal necklace waiting to be carved. Aang thought that he should go far away from here so that no one finds out. Aang flew on Appa. They went to a island. Aang sat down on a rock and began carving. He started carving the ocean waves for the water tribe symbol and the swirling circles for the air nomad symbol. Aang was in tears carving the necklace. Happy tears. He had dreamt of this day. Aunt Wu was right. Katara will marry a powerful bender. Not to mention the avatar.

Aang hummed a traditional air nomad song song "Oh spirits. Please give me luck."

Aang was done carving 3 hours later. He wanted it to look perfect. The necklace looked beautiful. It would shine in the moonlight. He went back home and hid the necklace under his clothes. He slept beside Katara cuddling next to her thinking of the day of the proposal.
