CHAPTER 3: HORIZON
Narrative Control: Blair
Somewhere in the Xodon Province
July 7th, 4:22PM.
I awaken slowly, my fur dry despite the feeling of moisture covering my body. My eyes flutter open as I find myself in the passenger seat of what I can only assume to be an RV. How did I end up here?
…
That's right, someone picked me up earlier, an Espeon, I think? As my eyes focus, I notice we're stopped in the middle of a forest, the warm glow of the afternoon sun filtering through foliage, casting rays through the windshield of the van. Seems we've driven far enough that we're now out of the raincloud. The pain of sleeping on solid ground is no longer a concern, refreshingly. I glance at my PDA as I slide the towels off of my body. The PDA reads 'Battery Change required.' I look at my shoulder, sure enough, that's not going to fool anyone.
I sigh, but it's a good thing I'm being told now. I stretch as I hop off the seat, making sure Asra's potentially prying eyes aren't around as I slip into the bathroom. Pulling a small silicone box off of my back as I swap out one 12V for another, placing the case back onto my back as I notice bright yellow reflecting off the walls, I sigh in relief.
For a few moments whilst in the bathroom, I contemplated telling Asra of my…'condition.' I figured I've lied enough in my life.
No...I shouldn't. It's not his business, I'd rather he see for who I want to be, rather than...that- thing.
I glumly step out from the bathroom. A scent filling my olfactory sense coming from outside. I curiously poke my head out of the RV's door, spotting Asra sitting in a camping chair near a freshly made fire, with a collection of round objects wrapped in aluminum foil circling the flames, with a metal grill over the top of the fire. Patties of meat sizzling, explaining the smell.
My stomach grumbles in excitement, begging for the coming meal. I agree, stomach. Yes I do. I haven't had something decent in a while. Berries are good and all, but my diet has clearly been lacking in the protein department.
I step out of the motel-bus, the clang of the door reconnecting with the frame causing Asra to turn to me. I subconsciously halt in place, for reasons I'd rather not get into. Asra smiles, "Wondering when you'd wake up, Blair. You've got good timing, I'm almost done making dinner." He chirps as he turns back to the grill, using psychic to flip the patties over.
This hospitality has a part of me suspicious, wondering why someone would just be so trusting of this stranger they found off of the side of the road. On the other hand though, I've gone without companionship for so, so long. Just the feeling of someone caring about me again, even if it's temporary or insincere, it feels...how do I describe it? Comforting? Rejuvenating? It's this warm feeling deep in my chest, a feeling which just places me into a state of pure bliss.
Bliss, that's the emotion I'm feeling.
Have I become so disconnected with my own feelings that I can't remember this feeling of contentment? Blair….what happened to you?
No. I won't answer that, I'm trying to run away from that. Just keep looking forward, don't look back. Keep going to that black sun on the horizon.
And yes, that's a music reference
"Thank you, Asra. Really." I rejoice. He only smiles, "Well it's like you said. We're in this for the long haul, so, I figure we should get to know each other as friends, so we're not just two strangers riding in an RV."
I smile warmly before plopping myself into a camping chair, "I'd like that." I chirp.
"You from Glaywood?"
"I was born in Camaro, but my family moved to Glaywood. Apparently because that's where all the lawyers and politicians were. They were both raised on politics, but I didn't much care for it, I like working with my paws."
Asra chuckles a bit. "Probably for the best, the government is flawed, Politicians rarely make things better, that's why I got this RV here. Real freedom! I can live where people can't boss me around, and if I get bored of that, well then, I can just start her up and go somewhere else that's nice, you know?"
This enthusiasm out of the psychic type's aura is a little overwhelming, but overwhelming in a good way. It's a little contagious. In a way, I kind of admire Asra's more nomadic approach to life. Constantly going from place to place, having new experiences, making all sorts of friends along the way. I giggle softly at his attitude.
"I can definitely see the appeal of such a life, but I think it might be a little too spontaneous for me. I just want some stability, some peace and quiet if you will. Really, I just wanna get away from Glaywood, and start from the top." I explain.
"...Are you...running from something?"
"Well….no, but I don't want to stick around either."
"What caused you to leave?"
"I….made a really, REALLY big mistake...and now, everyone I know hates me."
"Whoa, what'd you do?"
"I'd rather not get into it….Not now, that is."
"Well, the food's almost done."
"Yay. I'm starving!"

Covelight Offside R/D Facility.
July 7th, 1:23PM.
I heard from Violet that Jackson was testing another new plane and that she'd be with him. I figured I'd go drop by and say hello, since there's nothing else I should be doing. I exit my blue Titan, popping a pair of shades on my face. The guards let me in no problem, they've seen my face here loads of times. A smirk comes across my face as I approach the main hangar. However, I hear what sounds like a jet engine starting up, darn, looks like I missed the li'l bugger. It's alright I figure, Angel could use a tune up. Yes, my railgun came from this place as well.
I enter the hangar, scoping a familiar Porygon Z. Most of the elites know Orion, he's usually the one to oversee elite commissions. "Oi, Orion!" I call out. The wireframe dragonfly spotting me from across the hangar.
"Oh, Ducati! Didn't know you were here! You just missed Chaser and Ms. Covelight, I'm afraid.
"Did they already do the whole testing thing?"
"No, Chaser just started, Ms. Covelight decided to ride in the WSO seat."
"Really? I thought she was scared of heights?"
"She is, but she went anyway, and she's the Boss's daughter, so we can't exactly say no."
"Darn. Guess I'll have to wait."
"Their companion is here though, but we're gonna pull them aside in a bit." Orion states.
Their companion? Is Airheart here too?
I notice a Zoroark leaning against the door of the hangar, looking out towards the runway. He's got a black and dark red coat zipped only halfway up, exposing his chest, where a glowing red pendant in the shape of a crescent moon is seen resting against his fur. The coat is a bit beat up, clearly it's seen some action before, the sleeves are cut halfway up, with a blood red armband around his left forearm, sporting some kind of emblem.
Upon closer inspection, the emblem seems to be a crescent moon squeezed between two curved lines, resembling both the rising moon, as well as the eye of a Zoroark.
There's no mistaking it.
That's the Nightbring emblem.
I frown, "Orion, would that...happen to be their companion?" I ask.
Orion glances over at the dark type, "Yep, Boss says we're temporarily allying with the nightbring since something's come up. He's staying with Chaser for the time being." The Electric/Flying type moves close to me, whispering in my ear, "Just between you and me, I don't exactly trust this guy, but he's Chosen, so he's valuable to our research here."
"He's Chosen?" I ask, eyes widening.
"Yeah, but with an element we haven't seen before."
"Interesting, perhaps I'll go have a li'l chat with 'im. While I'm at it, get some of the lab blokes to switch out magnets 4, 7, and 13, they're starting to lose their charge, Angel's not zeroing very well." I request, handing the Celatian Porygon Z Angel from off a sling on my back.
"Should be good in no time."
"Thanks mate."
I slowly walk up to him, he appears bored, I suppose it's better than snooping about.
"So, the Nightbring are teaming up with us now?" I start, prompting the dark type to move his eyes over to me. He scoffed playfully.
"I'm pretty sure if Chaser and Ms. Covelight weren't there Mayrum would've ripped my head off when I came in." He replied.
"Kinda wish they let me know this was happening before I showed up this morning. Jackson I can understand, he's got a tendency to do things like that. But Violet?"
"You know them?"
"We're in the same squad, and I've known them for years. So then, what's your deal?"
"Well...I'm Vision, son of Yami Nightbring."
I'm thrown for a loop after he said that, I stumble a bit in shock.
"Wait! You're not just a member, you're the Nightbring LEADER!"
"Well, it's just a title. Dad still does the leading, I just relay his orders and make the speeches. However, my clan has split, this new branch has been seeded since the clan's inception and they want nothing but the Nightbring clan and Covelight to burn. Thus, here I am."
"...So that's the situation then."
"I will admit however, I was definitely not expecting to meet a Chosen among you, of an aspect I've never experienced no less."
"That's right, you're also Chosen?"
"Chosen of Shade, a blend of light and darkness."
"I guess I'm not surprised that the Nightbring leader is a Chosen."
Vision chuckles, "I haven't caught your name, by the way."
"Name's Cobalt Ducati, Elite Reconnaissance."
"Call me Shadow."
"Not Vision?"
"That's what my friends call me back home."
"Well, any friend of Jack is a friend of mine." I note as I extend my hand.
"Well my girlfriend and all my buddies are currently still in Glaywood, so more friends in the south is appreciated." He jokes as we shake hands.
"Oh, you got a lady back home do ya?"
"Emerald Taras. Daughter of a Mob Boss she helped me take down."
"She helped you kill her own pops?"
"Put him in prison for life, but yes."
"What Mon is she?"
"Another Zoroark, conveniently. Got these gorgeous green eyes though. What about you, got someone special in your life?"
I chuckle. "I've had my fair share of one night stands, yet to find that special someone though."
Shadow's smile drops slightly, "You think you'll find them going the way you're going?"
I roll my eyes irritably, holding my hand up in protest "Don't, I already get this enough from Vi."
"Well, perhaps she's got a point."
"Maybe, these are my choices to make."
"... Very well."
"Though, there's someone who might be a potential candidate."
"Really?"
"This place I go to, bartender is a Braixen named Summer. About my age, got this Glaywood accent, and she's just got this energy, y'know?"
"I guess since you could say…"
Shadow pauses, grinning.
"She's quite hot?!"
An awkward silence follows.
"...G-get it? Cuz her name is Summer... and she's a fire type?"
"...That's probably the most painful pun I've ever heard." I joke.
Shadow takes it in stride and laughs. "Better get used to them! More where that came from!"
"...greeeeaaaaattt…expand my horizon why don't ye?"

July 7th, 1:11PM.
"Alright, gonna turn, remember Vi, flex all of your lower body muscles and take deep, long breaths to compensate for the G's."
Why did I agree to this?
I say again.
WHY DID I AGREE TO THIS?!
My heart is thumping in my ears, my adrenaline is spiking. Fuck you, Jackson! Why'd I think this was gonna be fine?!
As I'm mentally cussing out the individual in front of me, the aircraft rolls 90 degrees to the right, prompting me to do as I'm told. I squeeze my legs against themselves and coil my tail around my stomach, constricting myself as I suddenly feel all of my blood start flowing to those areas. My vision starts vignetting as I focus on my breathing. I feel dizzy.
"Oh what the fuck is this?" I barely hear Jackson mutter to himself. As he finally stops turning, I gasp in relief as my vision regains color, my head hurts. "Still with me, Violet?" He asks, looking over his shoulder, oxygen mask unlatched and visor up like he doesn't have a care in the world, a cocky smirk on his face.
"Up yours." I reply, causing him to guffaw and turn back.
"Not everyday someone like you'll fly in a fighter jet, huh?"
"How the hell are you so casual with this?! I almost passed out!"
"Well I've been flying jets for 3 years, Vi. Probably helps that I'm a chosen and thus don't actually have blood to leave my head."
"Solaris, how'd that go?" We hear over the radio.
"Oh, one sec." Jackson notes as he pushes a button on the side console.
"This is Solaris, so far not impressed with the turning circle, feels like I'm flying an airliner." He responds.
"Wait, that was considered a bad turn?! What does a good turn feel like?!" I shout.
"Is Ms. Covelight alright? I think we just heard her."
I click the transmit button on my left, "No."
I hear Jackson chortle "She's never flown in a jet before, so I think you can take a guess, haha!"
I hear the operator laugh too. This is embarrassing…
"Lab boys are mad at your assessment of their expensive prototype."
"I think some canards should up it's maneuverability, maybe have the rear stabilizers rotate in place of elevators, they appear to be small enough. I'm gonna measure top speed next, test out this blue matter drive."
I understood none of what Jackson just said.
"Understood, Carry on Solaris."
"Hey Violet, wanna break the sound barrier?" He suddenly asks me.
It's not turning so it's fine by me! Holy shit, fuck turning! But I have to admit, I'm genuinely curious about this, going supersonic might be cool!
"As long as we fly in a straight line." I answer.
"Alright! Just a heads up though." He notes, flicking a couple switches.
"What now?" I reply, please no more torture.
"It's anticlimactic." He deadpans.
…
"Really?" I reply bluntly.
"Yeah." He chuckles.
He pushes the throttle all the way forward, the engines of the jet now greatly increasing in volume and pitch. "Alright, you see that decimal under our current airspeed?"
I look on the screen built into the back of Jackson's seat. There's a number that's now starting to increase underneath the airspeed. "I assume that's our mach?" I ask.
"Yup, when that hits one, we're officially supersonic."
I watch the number climb rapidly. 0.5...0.6…..0.7….0.8...0.9….
I internally brace as the aircraft begins to shake and rattle from the air rushing past it.
1.0…
…Silence
1.1...
1.2...
I look behind me to see a cone of air around the plane.
...wow, he wasn't kidding, there's not even like a boom or anything, it just makes the plane rattle a bit.
"...Okay yeah, that was pretty lame." I joke, causing the pilot to chuckle.
"First time I went supersonic I thought my mach counter was wrong. Imagine how disappointed 16 year old me was when I found out that's just what happens when you go supersonic!" Jackson joked, his demeanor about this whole thing is a little contagious, I can't help but smile.
"Let's see how fast this thing can go." He continues, flicking a switch on the throttle, causing a large rumble to come from the rear of the plane. It startles me as I jump in my seat.
"Was uuhh...that supposed to happen?" I ask nervously.
"Yeah, I just toggled the afterburners, we should be picking up speed a lot quicker now!" He exclaims as both of us stare at the mach counter.
1.7

2.3
The rate seems to drastically slow down
2.4
2.5
2.6
...2.6
The speedometer seems to stop increasing.
Jackson radios again.
"We're topping out at just over eighteen hundred knots, mach 2.6, slowing down now. This guy might turn like a brick but he flies like a bolt of lightning. Might be useful for scouting or something." Jackson notes.
"Noted, okay Solaris. Start your climb, mark your stall altitude."
"Alright. Violet, I'd close your eyes for this, we're about to go up."
I freeze, nononononononono this is already too high for me!
I feel my bodily fluids rush away from my head, catching me off guar-uuugh….
…
...where am I? Why am I dizzy? Awh great, I think I blacked out…how long was I-
Beep! Beep! Beep!
"STALL WARNING!"
Beep! Beep! Beep!
"STALL WARNING!"
Beep! Beep! Beep!
"STALL WARNING!"
I feel myself freefalling, before suddenly flipping 180 degrees. I scream in terror before I feel myself level out as the alarm stops.
"It's alright Vi, you can open your eyes now." I hear Jackson's voice in a comforting tone.
I realize I've had my eyes closed this whole time. My eyes reluctantly flutter open, my vision a blur as the blood finally starts to finish reaching my head.
"Just...look at that." Jackson's comfortable voice beckoning me to look out of the canopy, something I've been avoiding since we took off, lest I panic. I REALLY DON'T LIKE HEIGHTS.
Reluctantly, I turn my gaze outwards.
I gasp, not out of fear. But of awe.
We're floating above an endless blanket of fluffy white clouds, kissing the dark blue sky, with a bright blue glow between them as I watch the alien landscape curl downwards beneath me. I'd expect myself to be terrified, but oddly enough, I feel absolutely fine.
"W-wow…." I sigh.
"This right here." Jackson starts.
"This is what I wanted to show you." He continues.
"It's beautiful…how high up are we?"
"Just over 60,000 feet. About the altitude an F-22 Raptor can reach. We won't be able to do anything fancy this high up though."
I don't know what an F-22 Raptor is.
"You've already made me black out, so y'know, I've had my fill of crazy maneuvers."
"Did you black out just now? Oof, my bad. Probably should've warned you I was gonna pull up."
"N-no, it's alright... this is...this is worth it…"
I see Jackson peer over his shoulder towards me. He still hasn't put on his mask, but his Visor is down now. He gives me a warm smile.
"You know, we're above the altitude airlines fly at. Most people have never been this high before. Very few people will experience being something like this. Being so high up the earth becomes a sphere beneath you. I wonder if one day I'll get to spot a Rayquaza."
I rest my arms on my left armrest, my nose pressing against the glass as I stare out at the horizon.
"It's...really something. Thank you for sharing this with me, Jackson."
"I don't think there's anyone else I'd wanna show but you."
That last sentence throws me for a loop. What does he mean by that? Does he...like me or something? No, probably not, I'm just overthinking something as per usual.
"'Cause let's be real, this is a small plane, there's no way I can get Cobalt up here!" Jackson jokes. Guess I really was just overthinking it. I chuckle internally, you're a piece of work, Alexis.
"By the way, Vi…" he starts, gold peering back at me through the visor of his helmet.
"What's up?"
"I don't know if I said it, but you look great in a flight suit!"
His comment causes me to flush, Arceus. Fucking. Damnit. Jackson. You're lucky my face is covered!
Despite my embarrassment, I decide to just take the compliment.
"Oh. Uhh, thanks."
"Anyway, we can't stay up here forever, I say we head back to the facility." He notes, grinning.
"Please don't do anything stupid..."
"What's that? Sorry I didn't catch that!" He suddenly catches as the jet playfully rolls onto its back.
"This is where the fun begins!" Jackson shouts. I brace myself, however I can't help but scream as he pulls up, throwing the plane into a nosedive, accompanied by a clockwise roll.
"JAAAAACKSOOOOOOONN!" I scream
"WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOHOOHOO!" He cheers loudly.

July 7th, 2:19PM.
One hour later.
"Yeah, I think if you just fix those, it's got potential to be a great aircraft." I explain.
The Raichu who's taking notes nods, "Alright, thanks for your input."
"No problem."
Suddenly I get called out to by Orion, prompting me to turn around. "There you are, how was the flight?"
"Turns like shit."
"Noted... Ms Covelight?"
I look over to see my WSO sprawled out on a couch, she's staring up at the ceiling, her expression being a mixture of exhaustion and terror.
"Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhh…." She deflates.
"Oh, she had a blast."
Orion stares at Violet for a second, "Clearly."
"There was that other thing you wanted me to look at, right?"
Orion nods, beckoning me to follow him into an elevator going below ground, "Yeah, also your pal Cobalt's here. Had a chat with the Zoroark."
"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell him about Shadow."
"Well they seemed to be gettin' along when I left."
"Well Cobalt gets along with everyone."
"Anyways." He says as the elevator stops, the doors opening to reveal a clean, white laboratory.
"What am I doing down here, Orion? Boss said said something about a long term commitment?"
"Ah yes, follow me, you have your PDA on you, correct?"
"Yeah, why?"
"I'll get to that in a bit. I'm sure you remember the Pluto AI we developed a couple years back?"
I shiver, the sound of its snarling all those years ago fills my mind again.
"How could I forget...?"
"You may or may not know this, but Pluto was the prototype for a brand new kind of artificial intelligence, one that could assist Covelight in winning the war against the Nightbring... though I suppose that's on hold."
He takes me into a room, a large room. A large metal sphere is seen suspended from the ceiling, along with lots of power cables and some other doohickeys protruding out of it.
"We're proud to say that that AI we've been working on all these years is finally complete! Much, Much more sophisticated than Pluto could ever dream of being. Jackson Chaser…"
He points to the large machine in the room.
"Meet Saturn."
…
"W-wow... it's a...it's a big metal ball." I joke. Pretty sure Orion would roll his eyes if they weren't static circles on a wireframe mesh.
"I know it doesn't look like much right now, but let me explain. As much as we'd love to put Saturn into service, no amount of knowledge we feed it will mean anything if the AI doesn't learn. It's in an infant stage right now, it doesn't know how the world works, it still needs to observe, learn, be able to pair knowledge with experience, both in combat and out of combat. That's where you come in."
"Wait, you want me to...basically raise an infant?" I retort, narrowing my eyes in annoyance.
"Except this infant will mature hundreds of times faster. It's simple, we'll install Saturn's consciousness into your PDA, replacing the normal assistant. Saturn won't be too much of a hassle, its only purpose right now is to observe and occasionally ask questions. You don't have to coddle it, it's more than capable of learning how the world works through watching you."
"Right, and I'm clearly a star role model."
"I'm afraid I had nothing to do with this decision, it was all the boss's idea."
"Wait...MAYRUM was the one who put me up to this?"
"Well, contrary to what you might think, he actually DOES like you quite a bit. Says he sees a lot of himself in you."
The stone cold military leader likes one of his underlings? That's a first.
"He also says you're not allowed to refuse this, I'm afraid."
I pause, before sighing, slipping the bracelet off my wrist. "Fine...take it, then."
After a minute of waiting, Orion hands me back my PDA.
"Alright, so how do I-"
"Greetings [Elite Warrant Officer Jackson Alexander Chaser] you have been assigned to passively train this Artificial Intelligence known as [Saturn, This unit will be mostly mute unless to ask for clarification or if the AI is trained by you to be more vocal." My PDA suddenly speaks in a generic, monotone voice.
"...Is this thing gonna constantly talk like that?"
"No, sooner or later it will understand how to imitate your vocal patterns...and refer to itself in first person. It's speech will improve the more speech it hears."
"Thank fuck."
"Saturn can also monitor your vitals, access Covelight Databases, hack systems, and...here's the kicker, We've given it an optional directive to assist you in designing…
Your Elite Commission~!"
"YOU HAD ME AT ELITE COMMISSION!"
"Hehehe, Make sure to come back here every two weeks so we can check on it's progress."
"...The AI or the Commission?"
"Both."
"Alright then, will do."
I begin making my way back to the door.
I look to my PDA, "Well Saturn, I'm not a big fan of it, but I guess you're stuck with me for the time being."
"Confirmed, you do not appear to be a fan of any size, you appear to more closely resemble the Grass Snake Pokemon, Snivy."
"Oh ho! No shit, that was a metaphor!"
"Define 'Metaphor'."
Sigh…a new Horizon I guess.

Parker apartments.
Inlet park district, Aerocroft.
That night.
I creep slowly, tugging onto the line keeping me suspended from the roof. The fire escape rattles slightly as I touch down onto it, the line I was just on suddenly disappears into a cloud of purple smoke, which then forms into a small plasma torch on my index finger. I approach the window, peering inside the adjacent window first. I spot inside a Flygon and a Garchomp laying in bed together, the lights are on, what a shame, I'd rather do this while they're asleep. The Garchomp is currently resting her head onto the chest of the Flygon as they converse.
I head over to the original window, the cutter on my finger igniting as I cut the window out of the frame, a suction cup forming under my right hand as I pry the glass out of the frame, placing it by my feet as I make my way inside. I creep along to the door, eavesdropping on the conversation.
"Truly wonderful, Florian."
"That was incredible, indeed. I'm quite thirsty now...shall I go get us another glass, my dear?"
"Please do, dear."
Appears I've caught them after something steamy, it seems. No matter.
I wait behind the door as it opens, concealing me. The Flygon steps, through it entering the rest of the apartment, the lights on my suit turn off as I creep behind him, all the while a box pops up on my UI.
"F. Gauvin - Non-Target.
Age: 29
Occupation: Yoga Instructor.
Marital Status: Married - Charlotte Asphalt (TARGET)"
I suddenly grab him by the neck, placing my hand over his mouth, he starts to struggle, so I hit him over the head with my free fist. "Quiet." I mutter. "Call Charlotte. Now. Or I put a bullet in your head." I continue, he muffles in terror as the purple cloud surrounding me materialises into a handgun, placed upon the silicon glass of his eyes.
He stops struggling, finally putting his claws up in defeat. I turn him around. "Do it." I order, pulling the hammer back, and uncovering his mouth. He groans, a pained expression on his face. "DO. IT." I order one more time.
"...Charlotte, hun...I need some help, can you come here?" He reluctantly obeys.
"For Arceus' sake, how hard can it be to open a bottle of champag-" The Garchomp enters the room and freezes when she spots us. She glares at me.
"Now listen here...I don't know who you are...but I'm Charlotte Asphalt-Gauvin...I'm part of the Covelight Elite Alpha Squad. I know how to kick your ass in 700 different ways...Put the gun down and walk out that door if you don't want to learn what those are."
"You take one step forward, he dies."
"...Hey, Monsieur...We're trying for a baby, okay? If you want our money, take it. Just leave us alone…" The Flygon in my arms states.
"Trying for a baby, you say?"
"Yes! Yes! Don't hurt us!" he repeats
The target lowers her guard, bingo.
…
I sigh
"What a shame." I note as I pull the handgun away from the Flygon's head, pointing it straight at Charlotte's head and pulling the trigger. The bang reverberates off the walls as the wall behind her is coated in purple blood and grey matter as she collapses to the ground. The Flygon screams in horror. "CHARLOT-"
The glass of his eyes shatter as the wall to our left gets the same treatment, specks of red dotting the champagne glasses on the bar as he slumps to my feet.
"Is it done?" I hear a distorted voice come through my helmet.
I place my hand to my ear.
"Yes. That's one Covelight Elite down."
"...Excellent. I've wired the funds to your account."
Alrighty then! That about does it for Chapter 3! I kept true to my word, I did in fact have this out by the end of the month! In case you're wondering about that thing with Blair at the end, that's an encoded message, revealing a small clue as to who she is, you could try decoding it and get more information so that you could hopefully piece together who she is before the big reveal, or you could leave the messages alone and let the surprise be bigger, it's up to you! They'll be at the end of each segment with Blair from now until the big reveal.
Anyways, I've just set up a big plot point in this chapter, which you'll see coming up soon, as well as new characters in Saturn as well as that mysterious assassin. Time will tell how these characters will come into play.
But for now, this is Elysium, Over and Out!
