Hey everyone, don't worry, there's a chapter that comes after this, so don't freak out. However I must insist you read this little note beforehand, as this is one of the most important announcements I'm ever going to make for this series:

Ladies and gentlemen, I'm proud of this current iteration of Covelight, Version 2.5. It's the first one I've ever made it through to Valkyrie. It will hold a special place in my heart for years to come, and I've learned so much from writing it!

However, there's this itch I'm getting at the back of my mind. One I've felt 6 times for this story before, the desire to take what I've learned and start again, to improve, and to push myself even further, even beyond JUST my writing.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm happy, proud even, to announce that I am REWRITING COVELIGHT for its 8TH INCARNATION. Now hold on, wait! Wait! There's more! I know a lot of people lose enthusiasm the second the word "Rewrite" comes up in the story they're reading, but hear me out.

To tell you the truth, I'm not just REWRITING it. I am EVOLVING IT. I'm doing a COMPLETE OVERHAUL of this story, completely rebuilding it from the ground up! I really want this to be a new and exciting experience for both new readers discovering the story for the first time, as well you seasoned veterans who've stuck with my story through thick and thin!

I should mention I'm NOT CEASING PRODUCTION ON COVELIGHT 2: VALKYRIE. I'll still continue work on it, but this rewrite is going to take priority, so expect updates to…well I don't think they can come any slower than they already do tbh, so I guess I just have a good excuse to not work on Valkyrie often.

To give you an idea on what sort of things I've got in store for this NEW version of COVELIGHT: APAU…

MORE CHARACTERS! Even expanding the main group to four and even five!

MULTIPLE STORY ARCS! (Yes, now it's not just 'run from the cops', now there's things for them to do WHILE running from the cops!)

SO MUCH MORE LORE!

JACKSON AMNESIA IS PRACTICALLY NO MORE! (Aside from the events of APAU's Chapter 0)

TONS OF MORE BADDIES AND ACTION SCENES! (Including a 'John Wick'-esque Nightclub shootout! …Yeah, I'm owning up to it. If you know, you know.)

AND THE BIGGEST REVEAL OF THEM ALL….!

BECAUSE COVELIGHT VERSION 3.0 IS GOING TO BE A WEBCOMIC!

Now, a project of this scale takes time to plan and create, especially for just one person such as myself, who's juggling another fic for That Universe. So I don't have anything to show for it aside from a couple of test pages, however, there is now a place where you can get notified whenever I make an update or send out a sneak peek from time to time, and will be the best place to find the webcomic after the first Volume releases!

I figured I'd take a page out of LuanOTP's book for this one. That's right, I've made a discord server for my story! Where we plan on hosting team based competitions, offering other fic authors, and artists a place to share your works, even if they're not Covelight related, and just hang out with myself, the other two Co-creators of the AU, and many more fine folks! Also, we do have dedicated places for RP and NSFW cuz, let's be honest, people are gonna ask for those things anyway. Those who join before October 18th, 2023 get to choose a special, limited edition role, so get here fast!
