Chapter 127 I Believe In Him

Harry's eyes settled on Professor Lupin's shoulders. He saw hundreds of spells flying towards him simultaneously. It was a spectacular sight.

As the spells drew closer, Harry looked at them with horror, his face turning pale.

He had never before faced so many curses.

He was very scared, but seeing Professor Lupin standing in front of him, looking at him with kindness and calmness, courage suddenly arose in his heart. The oppressive feeling of fear brought by the hundreds of spells faded. Harry suddenly realized he needed to remind Professor Lupin to dodge.

"Move aside, Professor, hurry!" Harry shouted in despair, tears flowing uncontrollably.

Upon hearing Harry's cries, Lupin remained motionless. He turned his head to see the curses approaching.

His body trembled slightly, and he opened his mouth as if wanting to say something to Harry.

But transformed into a werewolf, Lupin lost the ability to speak. At that moment, he could only emit a strange sound.

Lupin glanced at Harry one last time, closed his eyes accepting his fate. His face was filled with pain.

The hundreds of spells approached, the intense light becoming increasingly dazzling, almost blinding Harry.

Just as he felt desperate, a large dark blue shield appeared in front of them to stop the spells and protect them.

All the spells were instantly blocked, and bursts of disturbances occurred on the shield.

It was Dumbledore's magic. Lupin and Harry hastily opened their eyes. They saw Dumbledore making his way through the crowd. Behind him were the Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge, Professor McGonagall, Professor Flitwick, Snape, Lucius Malfoy, Hagrid, Evan, and Hermione.

All the young wizards halted their attacks and gathered to let Dumbledore pass.

Evan stayed in the midst of the crowd and looked at the poor Professor Lupin, at the pale Harry below him, and at Ron, who was sitting in a corner.

"God!" Professor McGonagall covered her mouth with her hand and couldn't believe what she saw.

Professor Fudge and Professor Flitwick couldn't help but gasp. It seemed as though they could faint at any moment.

Hagrid looked at Harry and Ron with concern to see if they were injured.

Only Dumbledore, Snape, and Lucius remained composed. Dumbledore's face showed no slightest alteration, and no one could guess what he was thinking.

Snape's face was cold with a disdainful smile as he looked at Lupin's werewolf form. Lucius had a cold, satisfied smile. He looked back and forth between Dumbledore and Lupin, and it really seemed like he had planned for all of this to happen.

Evan felt Hermione's cold hand clinging to his arm, and his body trembled slightly. He turned his head to give her a reassuring look.

But Hermione remained concerned. She had just experienced Greyback's attack in Hogsmeade, and the terror brought by the werewolf was still fresh in her memory.

Although she had long known Professor Lupin was a werewolf, she had never imagined seeing him in his beastly form.

And there were Harry and Ron, pale beside her. They held wands in their hands. Was Professor Lupin attacking them? Were they injured?

Shortly after, Hermione noticed Ginny crying among the crowd.

She quickly released Evan's arm and went to comfort her silently.

"A werewolf attack within the castle is not surprising at all. From the first day of the semester, I knew something like this would happen," Snape said softly, a sarcastic smirk on his face. "I recall specifically warning you about this matter. Do you still remember, Director?"

It was on the eve of Halloween, Snape said that to Dumbledore, and Evan still remembers Dumbledore's response.

"Certainly, Severus!" said Dumbledore calmly. "If you reach my age, you will know that anything can happen in this world. But with this type of incident, I trust the effectiveness of your potion. And Remus is taking the Wolfsbane potion you prepared on time."

"Of course, of course, now he is completely harmless, a gentle werewolf." Judging by Snape's expression, he didn't really mean that.

"Good!" Dumbledore nodded quickly and turned to Harry and Ron amidst the crowd. "Mr. Potter, Mr. Weasley, I hope you can explain to me, what is going on?"

"Professor, we…" said Harry anxiously.

Before he could finish his words, he heard Ron point at Professor Lupin and say in a subdued, monotonous tone. "This monster was attacking us. He wanted to bite me and Harry."

"You're talking nonsense, he didn't. He is…" Harry looked at Ron indignantly. He didn't understand why he was saying that.

But his voice was interrupted once more, and this time it was Lucius Malfoy.

"A shocking accusation, I never thought before that a Hogwarts professor would actually be a werewolf!" said Lucius arrogantly. "And to attack his own students on a full moon night?! I am concerned for the safety of this school. We must act immediately, Minister!"

"What did you say?!" groaned Fudge. He finally stopped gazing in astonishment at Lupin's werewolf form, as if just awakening. He said worriedly, "You're right, Lucius, I can't believe it. The Ministry of Magic must…"

"Cornelius, we must be cautious before making a decision. There must be a misunderstanding tonight." Dumbledore calmly looked at Fudge. "I hired Remus to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts. I specifically discussed this with you before the semester started."

"Yes, yes, you did, Albus!" Fudge nervously fidgeted. He took a handkerchief and wiped the sweat off his forehead. "But no one thought there would be a werewolf disturbance. Isn't that so? It's not that I don't believe you, but in the current situation, I think it's safer before we can clearly prove that Lupin is absolutely secure…"

"I can prove it!" shouted Harry, "I can show he's safe."

"Shut up, Potter, you don't even know what you're talking about," said Snape disgustedly.

"Wait a moment, Professor!" Evan hurried to say, "I think Harry is right. I also believe this werewolf is safe. He is entirely different from the werewolf we encountered in Hogsmeade. I trust him!"
