The Next Morning
It was morning. Arnold and Spinelli were both sound asleep as they were snuggled up together.
While sun rays shined through the windows, the two were peacefully sleeping together.
"Engine 5, Engine 17, Engine 55, Ladder 1, Ladder 8, Ladder 12, respond to commercial fire in…"
Everyone was awakened, but only the members of Engine Fifty-Five were called out.
Spinelli was recently waking up and saw Arnold still asleep. She had a flirty idea.
Spinelli caressed Arnold's cheek as she slowly kissed his nose. Arnold would wake up shortly after.
"Hey, handsome." She smirked. "What time is it…?" Arnold looked around.
"I think it's early enough for a little fun." She kept smirking. Arnold rubbed his eyes. "Huh?"
"I'm feeling a little wet down there, and I was wondering if you could help with that." Spinelli gave a quick kiss. Arnold gave a confused look. "I'm wanting a little fun with you, Arnold."
Arnold finally understood and smirked. "About time we have some fun." Arnold teasingly lifted Spinelli's shirt. Spinelli immediately kissed Arnold as he held her waist. The two intensely kissed for a few seconds before their doorbell rang.
"Ugh! When we finally get some peace and alone time, there's always something to interrupt!" Spinelli complained as she adjusted her shirt. "Tell me about it…" Arnold rolled his eyes.
Arnold got up from the couch they were on, but that didn't stop him from giving Spinelli another kiss. He then went to the front door after putting on shorts.
"Yeah what can I help- Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd?" Arnold opened the door to see it was his former in-laws.
"Hey, Arnold! You wanted to talk to us about regarding a house pet?" Brooke started. "Indeed I do."
Spinelli walked up and wrapped her arms around his waist. "Who is it, honey?"
Arnold raised an eyebrow at her while he smirked.
"Just go to bed, sweetie, I'll come see you once I'm done."
"Good, I was getting tired just standing here." Spinelli yawned. "Yeah, yeah. Sleep tight, sleeping beauty." Arnold lightly smirked. The two kissed before Spinelli went back toward their bedroom.
"New girlfriend, I presume?" Buckley asked. "Yup, and she's definitely a keeper." Arnold smiled.
"Aw, how sweet." Brooke smiled. "But anyhow, what was it you needed to talk about?"
"Come on in and I'll explain everything.
Later, Arnold explained everything to his in-laws about having a house pet and how they could make it up to him.
"Well, I can't say that we don't want to take care of a dog but… we do owe you a lot." Brooke shrugged.
"You two owe me big… Where's the German Shepherd you guys have? Please tell me you still have it!" Arnold replied. "We do. You had one in mind?" Buckley replied.
"Along with a Corgi pup. Is it possible for you two to bring the German Shepherd over here by the afternoon?" Arnold then asked. "Of course! We'll have him here by around four if you'd like."
"Perfect! And you wouldn't mind adopting a Corgi pup, would you?"
"Not a problem." Brooke smiled.
"Thanks, you two. This'll mean so much to me and Spinelli." Arnold smiled.
"If you want, we can already choose a ring for you love birds." Brooke smirked. "Let's not go that far yet…"
"So Arnold, any word from your mother?"
"Eh, mostly busy doing her things. Paperwork, investigations, and just a bunch of stuff a Battalion Chief does." Arnold shrugged. "Arnold? Where's your bathroom? Somebody was in a hurry this morning…" Buckley looked at Brooke.
"Upstairs and to the right."
Buckley soon walked away, while Brooke sat next to Arnold.
"Arnold, I just want to express my regret… I never knew how hurt we made you feel and- we really want to do everything necessary for you to trust us once more. We know we may have treated you poorly before, but we want to clean up our actions and rebuild that connection we had…" Brooke held Arnold's hand. "We miss you, Arnold. We don't care whether you're our in-law or not, we love you, and it's always been that way. I miss that connection we once had…"
Arnold pulled Brooke into a hug. "I know you're both sorry, but at least you have the chance to make it up to me…" Arnold gave a comforting smile. "In all honesty, I also missed you, and I'm glad to finally see you once more."
Brooke smiled as well. "We'll always love and support you, Arnold." Brooke then gave a long kiss on Arnold's cheek.
Arnold blushed once she kissed him. "Gee… I kind of forgot what your kisses felt like." Arnold nervously laughed as he blushed.
Brooke couldn't contain her light giggle. "Mind if I show you a little more?" She did anyhow. Brooke slowly kissed Arnold's cheek again, leaving another stain of lipstick.
"I know I shouldn't have, but that's just how close I've grown to you, sweetie." Brooke soon mentioned after the kiss. "Hey, no worries." Arnold blushed.
Later
The Lloyds had left, and Arnold was now back in his bedroom, with Spinelli taking up the entire bed space. Arnold only chuckled as he sat down.
Arnold lightly shook Spinelli. "Sweetie? Spinelli, wake up…" She was still asleep as her hand lightly reached over to his lap.
"Spinelli, wake up before I whack you with a pillow." Arnold lightly smirked. She was still sleeping. "Didn't want to do this but- ah but heck, it'll be enjoyable." He smirked.
Arnold leaned over and started kissing behind Spinelli's ear, waking her up shortly after.
"Arnold? Geez, why'd you wake me like that?" Spinelli rolled over to face him. "Just needed you awake to let you know that my in-laws are gone."
"Ugh, good. We need to sleep anyhow…" She yawned. "Now get the hell in bed and cuddle with me…!" Arnold smiled as he soon crawled into bed. He wrapped his arms around her as he snuggled into bed with her.
A Few Hours Later
Nearly three hours passed by, and the two were using their free day by sleeping until around Eleven A.M.
Spinelli would soon wake up as sun rays shined in their bedroom. She felt Arnold's arms around her, and could only smile.
She then sat up. "Man… I feel like I slept like a baby…" She yawned and stretched. Spinelli then looked over at Arnold, who was deep asleep. "Welp… This day isn't gonna have fun itself, no?"
She then thought of an idea. "Maybe a little dumb or weird but it's worth it." She shrugged. Spinelli then held Arnold's chin and then smirked. "Wake up, handsome." She leaned over for a kiss.
After a few seconds, Arnold soon blinked his eyes awake. "Spinelli…?"
"Morning, handsome. Thought we could start this day off properly." Spinelli smirked as she tickled his chin. "That's definitely one way to start my morning." Arnold smirked as he went in for another kiss.
"Hey, Spinelli, how funny would it be if we had a parrot that could talk and hear us?" Arnold chuckled. "Oh, that'd be hilarious! Well, except for when we have sex… But besides that, I think that'd be hilarious but we'd be taking care of too many things by that point."
They heard the doorbell ring twice.
"For first responders, we're awfully popular all of a sudden."
"What can that be now? Your parents don't come over until the afternoon, right?" Arnold looked at Spinelli. She only nodded. Arnold only gave an annoyed look as he got up from bed. Spinelli rolled her eyes as she laid back down, with a flirty idea in mind.
Arnold soon opened the door to find it was his former in-laws again, with his request.
"I thought you guys were going to bring him later today."
"Oh, we know we agreed on that, but we wanted you to have him now. He'll make a great guard dog too." Buckley replied. "He's all yours, Arnold." Brooke smiled as she handed over the dog leash.
"Why gee… I really don't know what to say." Arnold smiled as he took the dog leash. "Thanks." He smiled.
"You're more than welcome." The two smiled back. "We'll be back later tonight to keep an eye on him while you go out on your date." Buckley mentioned. Arnold nodded. "Does he have a name?"
"Diesel. And you'd be surprised at how easy it'll be to train him." Brooke replied. "Well, that makes it a lot easier. And hopefully he isn't one of those stubborn puppies."
"Well, you'll find out eventually. Take care now, Arnold!"
"You guys take care as well." Arnold smiled.
The Lloyds soon walked away, and Arnold looked at Diesel with a smile.
"Welcome to the family, Diesel." Arnold petted Diesel's head.
Arnold soon walked in with Diesel.
"Sit?" Arnold was wanting to see whether he had to train him to sit. Diesel understood and sat down. "Good boy!" Arnold ruffled his fur. "Hey, Spinelli! You still awake?" Arnold called out. He didn't get an answer.
"Lazy ass…" Arnold chuckled. "Stay." Diesel did as he was told. "Wow. Looks like they already trained him." Arnold was rather impressed. He soon walked toward his bedroom.
"Hey, Spinelli! You have to check-" Arnold then paused as his cheeks went red hot.
"Why hey there, sweetie-bun. Care to join?" Spinelli smirked. She was still in bed, only without her sports bra or panties. She then motioned Arnold over.
"Looks like someone's in need of a little fun." Spinelli smirked as she clenched Arnold's shirt. "Spinelli, as much as I would love to fool around-"
"Then hop in bed with your hot piece of girlfriend and kiss me." Spinelli bit her lip. Arnold blushed furiously. "Spinelli, not now!"
"What? I thought you've been wanting a little fun!"
"Look, just get some clothes on and meet me in the living room."
Spinelli only gave a confused look. "Uh… Ok?"
"But not before I do this." Arnold first kissed her chest and kissed her neck. Arnold then winked at her. "You romantic animal." Spinelli smirked as Arnold walked out with a smirk.
A minute later, Spinelli met up with Arnold in the living room and saw him, kneeling down next to Diesel.
"Arnold… Did you really come through with…"
"Spinelli, meet the newest member of the family, Diesel." Arnold smiled as Diesel barked several times. Spinelli ran over to Arnold and hugged him tightly.
"No need to say anything, just this." Arnold smiled. "Thank you." She whispered with a beaming smile.
Meanwhile
"Any sign of that kid?" Scott asked as he looked down a sewer hole.
"Michelle, we're looking for a needle in a haystack, any idea where he could be?" Donovan radioed to the Station. "These blueprint files are larger than I thought, it's taking a while for 'em to download. I'll get back to you once they're done."
"And here I thought Bingo would be more fun than this."
"Everyone, listen up. Every second we spend looking for this kid, the risk of losing him grows. I want that kid found like yesterday! P.D. will also be helping out on this search, every second matters!" The B-Shift Captain for Fifty-Five said.
The police Sergeant took over and started handing out orders.
