"I think he's mostly trained in basic stuff like sitting, speaking, and other stuff." Arnold mentioned.
"I love you, Arnold. Have I ever told you that?" Spinelli hugged Arnold. "I'm pretty sure I'd love to hear more." Arnold kissed Spinelli's forehead while stroking her messy hair. "I think I should tell you how much I love how your hair looks after waking up."
She giggled. "I think I'd love a morning kiss right now." She giggled again. The two started to kiss but got interrupted by Diesel barking at them while he wagged his tail.
"You okay, Arnold?" Spinelli soon noticed a few tears building up in his eyes. "Yeah-yeah, I just… I just don't recall the last time I ever felt this happy…" Arnold gave a smile.
Spinelli smiled and caressed Arnold's cheek. "I'm more than happy to see that bright smile of yours, and I'm grateful to be your girlfriend." She replied with a smile. "I love you, Spinelli." Arnold smiled and kissed her forehead.
"I love you more." She replied with a shining smile. Arnold admired Spinelli's sparkling eyes and soon started kissing her.
"Have I ever told you how I love when your hair gets messy?" Spinelli smiled at Arnold. "I'd love to hear more after this." He smiled and started kissing her again.
"McShay, we need those blueprints NOW." The B-Shift Captain told Michelle.
"C'mon…! At best we should get NASA computers…" She facepalmed.
"Cap, we found the kid, he's headed your direction!" Travis radioed. "Copy, Montgomery! Get over here, now!"
Engine Fifty-Five and two police cars immediately headed towards the place where they could find the kid who fell through a sewer hole.
The three vehicles soon met up with the rest of F.D. and P.D.
"We have the kid, but he won't hang on for too long!"
"C'mon hustle, Fifty-Five!" The Captain ordered.
"I'm really starting to hate his guts when Arnold's off duty!" Vic complained as they got the equipment from the Ladder truck. "Ugh, and you're tellin' me!" Dixon replied.
Later Back at The Mansion
"Ah, yes! That's the sweet spot!" Spinelli lightly groaned as Arnold kissed her neck.
Arnold soon worked his way up toward her lips for a passionate kiss.
"You really know how to please me." Spinelli giggled. "Just like how you know how to make me smile." Arnold smiled as he kissed Spinelli's nose.
"Where's Diesel?" Spinelli looked around. "I think I saw him wander off to the bathroom."
Diesel was mostly exploring around the house.
"Eh, as long as he doesn't do anything too dumb, I think we can have a little time for some fun or whatever we want." Spinelli smirked. Arnold smirked as well. "I think I should give you a treat this time around." Arnold kissed Spinelli's forehead as he had his hand on her bra.
"Now we're talkin' here." She smirked as she was getting ready to take off her bra. A sudden noise was heard outside.
"You'd hear something?" Arnold looked over. "I think… I thought I also heard yelling."
"C'mon. Let's get some clothes on quick and see what the hell was that!" She nodded. They quickly went towards their bedroom to get some clothes on.
Outside, they found light smoke coming from a vehicle, which crashed into a person.
"Get an Aid Car down here, I'll check what happened!" Arnold ran over. "Why am I always stuck with that?" She grabbed her phone from her sweatpants pocket.
"No gas leakage… Unconscious driver…" Arnold found the cause of the crash. "Drunk idiot…"
"A little help?" A person was wedged between the crashed car and another car.
"How the heck does this happen?" Arnold thought. "Sir, are you hurt?"
"I- I don't think so…"
"Can you feel your legs? Or your arms?" Arnold pulled out a tiny flashlight from his pocket and examined the man's eyes. "I feel my legs and arms, I can also wiggle my feet."
"Alright, that's good, that's very good."
"Are- are you a Doctor or something?"
"Firefighter and Paramedic actually. What's your name?"
"Kenyon, Kenyon Gibbs."
"Aid Car requested at…"
All of Fifty-Five heard the address and suspected something was up.
"Dispatch, this is Aid Car 55, we're en route now!" Michelle immediately got on the radio of the ambulance once she climbed in. "Copy that. Be advised, Engine company will be needed."
"Copy." Donovan hopped into the ambulance. "Isn't that where Arnold lives?"
"It sure is, how could we forget? Right now, I'm not liking where this is headed…" Michelle gave a concerned look as the ambulance sirens were turned on as it raced off. Engine 55 followed behind.
"How's it lookin', Arnold?" Spinelli came up as she had one of his hoodies on. "I don't think it's good… His body is being crushed by the car, and we can't risk moving it in the slightest! And if we do…" Arnold had to whisper into her ear. "There's a chance he won't make it." She went wide-eyed for a second.
"Wha- what's going on?!" Kenyon asked. Arnold took a deep sigh. "Gibbs… This car right here, is currently crushing you and possibly causing internal bleeding along with possible organ damage, and we can't move you without the necessary stuff, and once we do move you… there's a chance you probably won't make it… You'd have minutes to get to an operating room once we move you…"
"In other words… There's a chance I might die…?"
"Unfortunately… But we promise, we'll do everything in our power to have you see another day." Spinelli replied.
Shortly after, two truck sirens were heard blaring in the background. Aid Car 55 and Engine 55 stopped near them.
"Ah, shit… This doesn't look good." Travis mentioned from the truck as they all got out.
"What do we have?"
"We have a thirty-two-year-old male, crush injuries to the body, and passed out drunk. No idea how the driver is, the door is wedged."
"Looks like we might be here a while… Until we have everything ready, we can't risk moving him." Michelle mentioned. "She's right. No way we're able to move him right now." Donovan replied.
"Johanssen, have MedStar Memorial ready. Tell them we need trauma doctors and the O.R. ready." Michelle told Gerald. "Let's get him hooked up to the cardiac monitor."
"You two did well." Warren smiled at the two. "You guys can go now."
"I think we'll stay as long as we can." Arnold replied. Ben nodded.
"We'll have trauma doctors and the operating room ready."
"Alright, thanks."
"Dr. Hyerdhal? You'll be needed in the O.R. We'll be having a patient with crush injuries coming in soon." The nurse told Phoebe, who was back where she worked.
"Got it."
"So Kenyon, tell us, you have any family around?" Donovan asked as he turned on the cardiac monitor. "Well yes, I was on my way to see my wife, my parents, and my kids. We were all gonna have dinner together along with watching basketball, but here I am, wedged between two cars, and I guess it's my bad decision-making that led me here… I jumped into the way instead of the other way…"
"Hey, if anything, it's the driver's fault for driving drunk." Travis started as others got the unconscious driver out. "We'll get you out soon and hopefully you'll be seeing your family once more."
"My phone is in my pocket… Could you please get it out for me, and call my wife? In case I don't make it…?"
Almost everyone froze. "Kenyon…"
"Please, guys… I don't know whether I will make it or not…. But I want my family to know I love them all…" Arnold stepped forward. "So… Which pocket is it in…?"
"To my right…" Arnold gulped as he soon went over and grabbed Kenyon's phone from his pocket. He soon dialed up Kenyon's wife.
"Hello? Kenyon, is that you?" Arnold held the phone to Kenyon's ear. "Savanna? How's it going, sweetie?"
"Oh, everything is going extremely well! Man, I could just sit here and go on and on about what's been occurring here! But-"
"Honey, listen to me… There's something serious that happened…"
"Well, what's wrong?"
"I… I may not come home tonight…"
"Wha- what are you saying?"
"I'm wedged between two cars, and I may have suffered internal damage… and right now, I don't know whether I'll make it or not…" Kenyon started tearing up. "Tell me where you are! I'm coming to see you!"
As he told his wife the address, everyone around was silent and had saddened looks on their faces. Arnold had an arm over Spinelli as he rubbed her shoulder. She was only looking down.
Kenyon soon hung up.
Minutes Later
Kenyon's wife soon arrived, she had parked near the two trucks.
"Kenyon! Oh, my Lord! WHY AREN'T ANY OF YOU HELPING HIM OUT OF THERE?! YOU GUYS ARE FIREFIGHTERS, WHY AREN'T YOU HELPING HIM?!" Savanna freaked out. "Baby, baby listen to me… This is mostly saving me from dying immediately… Until everything is ready, here and at the hospital, they'll have minutes to save me… And right now, this is where I have to be right now…" Kenyon choked on his tears.
"Ma'am, as soon as everything is set, we'll immediately get him to MedStar Memorial. It's the nearest hospital." Michelle told Savanna.
Donovan was repositioning the ambulance so it would be ready to immediately go.
An Hour and Thirty Minutes Later
It was around the afternoon, and Kenyon was still wedged between the cars.
"On three, everyone…!" Almost everyone was ready to move the car off Kenyon. The stretcher was right beside them, and the Ambulance was ready.
"Push!"
Everyone started to push the car off Kenyon. Shortly after, enough separation was made. Travis, Michelle, and Donovan all immediately got Kenyon from where he was wedged. He was immediately placed on the stretcher.
"Alright, go! Go! Go! Go!"
The stretcher was placed inside the ambulance, Travis and Michelle hopped inside and Donovan immediately got in the driver's seat. The rear doors were shut and hit twice.
The sirens were turned on and the ambulance soon raced off.
"That ambulance is heading to MedStar Memorial, you can follow behind if you'd like." Gerald told Savanna. She nodded. "Thank you all…!"
The ambulance siren and siren lights soon faded as it started making its way to the hospital. Another car arrived shortly after.
Arnold and Spinelli were staring off into the distance until the Aid Car was out of sight, and turned around to see Spinelli's parents.
"Everything alright here, you two?" Flo approached her daughter and Arnold. "Yeah… Yeah, we just had a minor problem here. It'll soon be fixed."
"We'll wait for you two inside, we can tell you guys need a minute." Flo then told them.
"Yeah, but they couldn't tell whether I wanted to go to the Fire Academy or what." Spinelli whispered to Arnold. He merely snickered.
"You alright, sweetheart?" Arnold then looked over. "Yeah…" Arnold rubbed Spinelli's shoulder and kissed her forehead.
"Hey, you guys. Our shifts will end soon, and we have a couple of days off. You guys up for a beer tomorrow night?" Gerald came up to them.
"I think so, but we probably won't drink too much since we obviously have a kid to take care of." Spinelli replied. "Alright. Suit yourselves." Gerald shrugged.
"Let's go." Spinelli told Arnold as the two headed back inside the mansion. Arnold only kissed Spinelli's cheek as they walked back.
