At Chez Paris
"I love you so much." Arnold kissed Spinelli's head. "Aw, and I love you more." She kissed his cheek.
The two were entering the place when they saw Pep soon walking out.
"Pep? Wh- What are you doing here?" Arnold blushed. She was with her family. "Hey, Arnold. I'm having a night out with my family. And stop staring, you'll burn holes." She noticed him staring at her black, sparkly dress.
Spinelli cleared her throat to get his attention. "Uh-"
"Oh, and be careful. There's a loud and obnoxious chewer around here somewhere. Ugh, that bitch chews louder than a hippo." Pep complained. "Ew." Arnold winced. "Gross…" Spinelli lowered her eyelids.
"Anyhow, I'll see you guys later."
"See you later." Arnold and Pep gave a friendly peck on each others' cheeks.
"It- it was just a friendly peck!" Arnold stuttered as he looked at Spinelli. "Just give me a tongue kiss and we're good." Arnold would then smile.
The two gave a long, slow tongue kiss before being attended by a waiter.
Soon, they were seated near the windows, a spot where Arnold always loved.
"I love you, Spinelli." Arnold smiled and kissed her hand. "I'll always love you." Spinelli smiled back and caressed his cheek.
"Sucks I'll be gone for tomorrow, but I'll soon be back." Arnold soon said. "Ugh, tell me about it… Hey, at least you'll be coming home to someone special." Spinelli smirked. She then winked, making Arnold blush.
Meanwhile
"Is it arson? An accident? You tell us." Stella was gathered with investigators and detectives for the past few attacks.
"The airport fire was an accident, but with the combustible material in someone's purse isn't no accident, and our best guess is someone either trying to frame someone, or possibly doing their dirty work for 'em." Kurt responded as he smoked a cigarette.
"Put that out."
"Alright…" He put the cigarette in an ashtray.
"And what about the accident that got four kids and a father killed?" Stella asked.
"The cause of death was a backdraft, and it must've been something that triggered it. And what stood out to me was that a chandelier upstairs wasn't all that damaged."
"Keep going…"
"We found burned wiring in a wall charger, which must've been rigged to cause a backdraft… And with the little evidence of the combustible cig box, it must've been placed there to make it look like an accident."
"So it looks like it was an arson attack… Now the question here is… who the hell would kill four innocent children?"
"By our guess, it must be a cover-up of sorts. Right now we know what caused the fire, but no idea whether there are intentions or not." Joe said.
"Anything about the car fire?"
"Nothing yet, but we found a matchstick with chemicals that made the fire spread fast."
"Any ID?"
"Burned beyond recognition, and his wallet was burned as well so we couldn't get his license or anything. The license plate was also burnt to a crisp so we can't identify him through that either."
"Looks like we have a bit of a lead so far…" Stella had a hand on her chin.
"Well, I found the obnoxious chewer Pep was mentioning… And is that a map?" Arnold was briefly looking over. "Arnold, just look over here." Spinelli turned Arnold's head to face her. She then kissed him.
The 'obnoxious chewer' overheard and had to immediately leave while he was distracted.
"That's my cue to leave."
"I love you." Arnold was mesmerized by the kiss. "I'll always love you, Arnold." Spinelli smiled as she briefly toyed with his nose.
"You know, Arnold, I find it crazy how your mom managed to find a career in firefighting despite being gone for the majority of your childhood, you know?" Spinelli then switched the topic. "And it's crazy how young she was, and even now she's still young. But to think she's our Battalion Chief is crazy, but that's my mom." Arnold replied with a smile.
"And you know, it's funny how we work at the toughest company in the city, but nobody knows how it really is at the firehouse." Arnold chuckled. "Man those guys are all like family. The amount of stupidity that can go around the department is just downright hilarious." She also chuckled.
"I know you'll certainly be with my family." Arnold then held Spinelli's hand. He winked and kissed her hand. "You charming… D'ugh! I can't even find words to express how romantic you can even be!"
Arnold took a sip from the glass of wine. "I never thought I could be so romantic, guess I needed you to fully show how romantic I can be." Arnold kissed her hand again. Spinelli started to blush.
"You know… I wonder what our child would look like if we ever had a child." Arnold soon smirked. "You askin' for a little fun after our date?" She smirked back.
"Maybe. Maybe not." Arnold smirked. "Went from being romantic to straight-up playful, aye?" Spinelli playfully had her hand on his nose.
Later
Several Fire Engines had responded to a house fire. A severely burned corpse was found near the curb from a backdraft.
"Boy, this is getting to be WAY too often of seeing corpses." Michelle told Donovan. "Tell me about it. And the poor guy looks almost like the previous victim, you know, from the burns."
"And those 'burns' is basically him being burnt to a crisp, with part of his skeletal parts being revealed. And I might throw up once this is over…"
"This isn't as bad as the last call-out which had burned rats in the attic." Gibson started. "That was way worse. I was throwing for nearly five minutes once we got back to the station!"
"I'd still like to know what caused this." Donovan said. "Something will soon shed some light on this." Scott replied.
Soon, a Battalion Ford pickup was heard as it soon parked near Truck 55. It was Chief Stella Shortman. Sirens around the area shined brightly along with the raging fire from the house.
She stepped out of the truck and shut the door, leaving the siren lights on. She soon put on the usual Chief coat, grabbed her helmet, and walked over to the members of Fifty-Five.
"Fifty-Five, what do we have?" She crossed her arms.
"Another deceased person from the fire. Possible backdraft we presume, fire is being contained. Couldn't ventilate the roof with it being unstable."
"Alright, ten-four. Where's the deceased person?" She asked. Michelle pointed over to the curb in front of the house. "Oh Christ…" She winced a little as a Ladder truck was soon approaching.
"Looks Joe and Kurt were right, that backdraft must've been covered up with the combustible cig box…" Stella thought.
"Alright you guys, surround and drown! 23, get a line over there!" Stella started to hand out directions.
"It's only a matter of time before I get my rightful place… Soon, I'll have control over everything, even the U.S. Military won't be able to stop me!" The figure soon told itself. It was determined to get into high power and possibly want world domination.
The mysterious person got into the same black sedan that got in the way of Engine Twenty-Three.
"Like that famous arsonist told me once before his life sentence… Burn it all…!" The person evilly cackled and laughed evilly. "Soon I'll be seeing the entire world burn before me!" The person continued to cackle.
The black sedan had to back up and get out, unnoticed.
Stella noticed headlights at the corner of her eye, and only gave a side-eye. She soon noticed the sedan despite it being black and at nighttime.
She had an awfully weird feeling about it.
Later
"Ugh, I can't eat another bite…"
"'Scuse me, is there chocolate cake for dessert?" Arnold asked the waiter. "Maybe I can eat just one more bite." Arnold smirked at Spinelli.
"To answer your question, fine gentleman, yes. Yes, we do have chocolate cake tonight. You're rather lucky actually." The waiter chuckled. "Shall I bring one for you two tonight?"
"Please?" Spinelli asked. Arnold only smirked at her. "One chocolate cake coming right up."
"I thought you said you couldn't eat another bite." Arnold then chuckled. "I'm not passing up chocolate cake. Man, it's the best!"
"Even with all this, you still don't gain a single pound like Rhonda." Arnold snickered. "Yeesh. She could eat all I ate tonight, and still not gain a single pound?"
"Believe me when I say this… Yep. She literally ate like this several times, and was still skinner than a noodle." Arnold then laughed. "Well, now I don't feel too bad about this now." She laughed. "Hey, at least I get something else to kiss." Arnold smirked. "Oh, you're not serious, are you? Wait, never mind. Knowing how romantic and playful you can be." She playfully rolled her eyes with a smile.
"Oh, come here." Arnold said with a smile. The two leaned forward for a quick passionate kiss.
