"Olga, meet me at Arnold's place immediately! We're not standing by and letting Helga and Dixon destroy this city!" Stella soon hung up and had her hands on her head, extremely distressed.
"How am I gonna tell Arnold?…" She wondered.
"Our precious little Princess! Who's our little angel? You are, sweetie! You are! We love you so much, you have no idea how much we really love you." Arnold kissed Andy's forehead, and Spinelli also kissed her forehead.
"Guess that makes us both lucky and extremely proud parents." She smiled at Arnold. He only smiled while carrying Andy.
Stella soon saw the two from the doorway and felt extremely stressed. She soon walked in.
"Sweetie, can you guys meet me in the living room? We have a guest coming over, but it's urgent."
Arnold and Spinelli looked at each other confused.
"Uh, sure? Do we leave Andy here or-"
"I think it'll be best if you two have her near you." The two noticed the saddened look on Stella's face.
Minutes Later
Olga rang the doorbell, and Stella went to greet her. Arnold and Spinelli were in the living room, Andy was still in Arnold's arms.
"Arnold, Spinelli, there's something dior Olga has to say." Stella came over with Olga.
"Arnold… I found out who the arsonist is… It's Helga."
"HELGA?!" Arnold refused to believe it. "Arnold, she confessed everything, including Chief Dixon backing her up. And worse… She'll be coming after your daughter and roommate."
"His girlfriend, actually." Stella corrected.
Arnold and Spinelli couldn't believe what they heard.
"She's confessed to wanting to kill the only memory left of Rhonda. And she's also targeting Spinelli." Stella said with a saddened look.
Arnold gave a distressed look and soon looked at his only daughter, his only child. Andy was just clueless like any baby, but Arnold and Spinelli knew everything they needed to know.
"I'm gonna fucking kill her if she touches my only daughter!"
"Arnold, NO!" Spinelli had a hand on his chest and shoulder. "THIS IS OUR ONLY DAUGHTER, MY FAMILY, AND MY BLOOD. SHE'S ALL I GOT TO REMEMBER RHONDA BY!" Arnold shouted as tears fell from his face. Spinelli took Andy from his arms and set her on the couch next to them.
"I'M GONNA FUCKIN' KILL HER!" Arnold shouted again, but Spinelli yanked him into a hug. She didn't say a word, but only rubbed his back.
"We have to do something fast! We can't let her get near Andy! And we can't let Dixon become mayor!" Stella looked at Olga. "I'm not sure we can count on the Chief, but possibly the police."
"I know someone in the police force who can possibly help us." Arnold soon said as he wiped the tears from his eyes. "Officer Tanner." He said.
"Quite frankly the only good cop we know." Stella said. "You guys, Helga told me something about fireworks at a factory, though I don't know what that could mean." Olga soon mentioned.
"We'll figure that out soon, right now we have to see what'll be our next move." Stella replied.
"I'll make sure to pound my fist in her face!" Spinelli exclaimed. Arnold only rubbed her shoulder.
"I'll make sure nothing ever happens to our daughter. I'm not letting her get in harm's way, no way." Arnold looked at his daughter.
"Well Olga, thanks for coming and sharing this information with us. And be careful on your way home. We all know now that Helga is a ruthless animal now." Stella said. "Thank you, Chief. I'll see you soon." Olga soon started heading to the front door.
"I'll leave you two be." Stella soon left them alone.
"We'll get through this. For our daughter." Arnold looked at Spinelli, who was looking at Andy. "The sooner we find her, the sooner Andy is out of danger."
"Unfortunately, we don't know where that bitch is or when she'll strike. But Spinelli…" Arnold soon had her hands on her shoulders, making her face him. "We'll all be together. Nothing or no one will ever touch our child. Trust me."
Spinelli couldn't contain herself and hugged Arnold tightly. He only stroked her hair and rubbed her back.
"It's Andy's feeding time, come on." Arnold quietly said. She only nodded while she had her head on his shoulder. "We'll stick through this… Together."
The two let go of each other.
"Come here, sweetie." Spinelli picked up Andy as Arnold went toward the kitchen.
As the night would soon go by, Andy was already tucked in her crib, and Arnold was already in bed awaiting his beloved.
Spinelli soon came back from showering.
Arnold was lying in bed, mainly thinking about his only child and the dangers that were ahead.
Spinelli put on a thin shirt and her usual black panties. She crawled into bed with Arnold.
"You feeling okay?" She asked, nervously. Arnold exhaled. "I'm not even sure anymore… I hate to say this but-"
"I know, hun, I'm scared too. I never thought I'd ever say those words, but when it comes to something like this, I have to admit it." She admitted. Arnold kissed Spinelli's forehead. "I love you." He gave a small smile. "I love you too." She smiled back.
Arnold then gave a slow, delicate kiss on her forehead. "Night, sweetheart."
Spinelli then went in for a kiss on his lips. "Night, honey." Arnold wrapped his arms around her waist to make both of them feel more comfortable while she tucked them in.
"Four associates down, two more to kill…" Helga flipped through the files of Dixon's associates. "That bastard will soon pay, and as a bonus, maybe I'll kill Olga like I did Miriam and Bob… Fucking assholes converted me to what I am now!" Helga slammed her desk with a wristwatch.
"Soon, I'll watch the world burn!" She smoked a cigarette.
The Next Morning
It was around Seven in the morning, Arnold and Spinelli were sound asleep together, while Stella slept upstairs in his old bedroom.
Stella was waking up and she soon saw what time it was on her phone.
"Ugh…" She soon sat up in bed and let her hair flow. She soon got up and started to dress in her normal Battalion Chief clothing.
She soon went downstairs once she zipped up her jacket.
She saw Arnold and Spinelli still asleep when she approached their bedroom.
Stella slowly walked over to Arnold's side of the bed to wake him up for his shift today.
"Arnold…" She lightly shook him. "Sweetheart, wake up." She delicately said. Arnold soon woke up from her soothing voice.
"M- Mom? Why are you up so early?" He sat up and rubbed his eye while Spinelli was still sleeping. "Remember? Our shift?" She lightly smirked. "Oh. Right…"
"Say, where do you keep the extra toothbrushes when you need to switch them out?" She asked. "In a cabinet in the bathroom."
"Thanks, honey." Stella gave a long kiss to her son's forehead, making Arnold blush. She smiled at him and walked out to the bathroom.
"Guess I better get ready as well." Arnold slowly got out of bed and started to get dressed.
While he got dressed, Spinelli soon turned around to find out he wasn't next to her.
"Huh?" She then saw him putting on a shirt. "Up early, hm?"
"Sorry, sweetie, but I nearly forgot I have another shift today. And I think it'll be longer today." Arnold replied. "Ugh! Again? What the hell am I supposed to do besides caring for Andy and our dogs?"
Arnold sighed and paused for a minute. "You could invite your parents over!"
"But I promised them we'd visit them at their new place!" She replied while she sat up. "I'm so sorry, sweetie! But I don't know what else I can do, I need to work this shift!"
Spinelli only sighed. Arnold felt bad having to leave his beloved again and sat next to her. He put an arm over her bare shoulder. "Sweetie, I know you hate me for doing this, but when I get home, we'll do everything you want. Ok?" Arnold kissed her forehead.
"A three-way?"
"What?"
"Just kiss me!" She yanked his shirt and pulled Arnold straight into a kiss. Arnold started to kiss her back and her tongue soon slipped into his mouth.
They soon separated.
"I feel a lot better now." She gave a dazed smile. Arnold had the same expression, and soon kissed her cheek. Spinelli blushed as she had a very curious idea in mind. "I'll be home before you know it! Ok? Love you, sweetheart." Arnold kissed Spinelli's cheek again and soon got up, and made his way toward the bathroom. Stella had finished up in the bathroom once he walked over.
Later
"I love you more." Arnold kissed Spinelli's forehead. "I love you way more." She smirked and kissed his cheek.
"I'll see you tonight." Arnold kissed her forehead and soon walked over toward his truck. Bandit and Diesel ran out excitedly and chased after him.
"To think I almost forgot about you furballs!" Arnold laughed as they tackled him. Both Bandit and Diesel were licking his face repeatedly.
"Oh, stop it!" Arnold kept laughing while Spinelli watched with a smile on her face.
"That's why he's my man." She told herself.
Bandit and Diesel soon sat down as they were wagging their tails.
"Alright, I'll see you two tonight. Ok?" Arnold smiled as he ruffled their fur.
Arnold soon looked at Spinelli and then winked. She couldn't contain her giggle and blushed.
At Station 55
"Is Lieutenant Shortman here?" A blonde woman asked. "Surprised you know firefighter rankings but uh… No, he's not here yet."
"I know some rankings since I'm friends with two Lieutenants here. Lieutenant Shortman and Lieutenant Spinelli." The woman replied.
"And your name is?" Donovan asked. "Ashley A." She replied.
"He should be clocking in soon so uh… If you don't mind, wait here and I'll tell him he has a visitor."
"Thanks." Donovan nodded as he got up from the desk and went out back.
Out back, Donovan saw Arnold's black Ford pull in and park.
"Yo, Arnold! You got company. It's a woman named Ashley A." Donovan approached him.
"Ashley A? What could she want? Why is she even here?" Arnold asked. "No idea." Donovan shrugged.
Arnold soon got out of his truck and wondered why she would want to see him.
Arnold was soon inside and found her waiting at the desk.
"Hey, Ashley?" Arnold didn't even know how to greet her since they hung out together with Spinelli. "Arnold! I've been trying to get a hold of you and Spinelli since yesterday! Is everything alright with you two? I've been worried sick with Ashley Q!"
"Uh, we're fine. But Ashley, why are you even here? I mean, it's not like you and I interact every day. We are friends, but we don't interact every day."
"I know, I know… But we heard the news about what your mom was involved with and we were honestly worried about you guys. I was also worried about you." She replied.
"Me? But it's not like I'm that important to you. We're not dating, we don't have a crush on each other or anything." Arnold pointed out. "I know I know, but I know you matter to Spinelli, and you matter to me as well." She looked down a little.
"Wow… Gee, I…" Arnold blushed. "That means quite a lot. Thanks." Arnold smiled. "So how's your mom doing?"
"She'll get through this, especially now that we have a big lead on who the arsonist is, but I won't say that out loud."
"I understand. It was great seeing you again, Arnold." She then hugged him. "Alright, take care now." Arnold hugged her back and smiled.
Ashley A then kissed his cheek, making him blush furiously. They separated after. Ashley A giggled as she soon walked out.
"I bet Spinelli wouldn't like this." Donovan snickered. "Shut up before I make you run suicides with turnout gear while carrying hoses in the hot sun." Arnold blankly said as he lowered his eyelids. Donovan yelped as he soon walked away.
Arnold soon pulled out his phone and decided to text Spinelli two red hearts and the words 'Love you'.
"Roll over." Spinelli was teaching Bandit a little trick to surprise Arnold. She soon saw the text message. She only smiled as she texted back two red hearts.
"Is that high school-like romance I'm seeing?" Michelle peered over Arnold's shoulder when she saw him smiling at his phone. "Oh, buzz off!" Arnold chuckled as Michelle laughed.
