Six Weeks Later…

Background Music: Can You Feel The Heat Now by Tommee Profitt

How does one recover?

What does recovery take?

It was a bright and early sunny morning, and the beautiful view of the city was seen. Michelle and Spinelli were on the balcony of the station, taking in the atmosphere.

Does it take time? Forgiveness for recovery?

Spinelli exhaled. Michelle then spoke. "Come on. Let's go." Spinelli took in another breath before walking away.

They soon walked toward the entrance.

At the garage entrance, Arnold and Stella soon walked up to the team while everyone gathered.

Arnold spoke up. "55, I'd like to reintroduce you guys to a beloved member here…" Arnold and Stella stepped aside. "Allow me to introduce you to Pep Clemente!" She soon walked up with a smile on her face. Wearing simple black jeans and a gray jacket with a messy ponytail.

"Guys." She waved while smiling.

Michelle walked up to her and hugged her. "Oh, it's been too long since I've seen my best friend!" She smiled and chuckled.

"Not too tight! I still have stitches!" Pep chuckled.

Dean and Tommy hugged her next. Then Vic hugged her, then Travis, then Spinelli, then Scott, and then Donovan. Ben was next.

Warren asked while hugging her, "Are you back-back?"

She lightly shrugged. "Eh, almost. At most another week. Arnold here has been very strict in nursing me back to health." Pep chuckled. Arnold only smiled.

"Shouldn't you be at home resting?" Dean asked.

"I will be, I just missed seeing you guys. I missed seeing this Station." Pep smiled.

One thing's for sure, you can't force recovery. Because even if you feel ready to get back on your feet, it doesn't mean you are.

Stella soon spoke up. "I'd like to share that Arnold here, is on track to becoming the permanent Captain of Station 55. Of course, McShay is also in the running for Captain despite having little time as Lieutenant. And soon, you guys will be having another pair of hands on deck, so I want you all to keep an eye on that." She smiled.

Everyone had beaming smiles on their faces.

Stella continued. "With the returns of Warren, (Donovan) Alexander, and Spinelli, this station is finally headed on the right track after the adversity it has faced this past month and a half. And I'm looking forward to seeing how you all progress." She smiled.

All you can do is be strong, be open, and willing.

"Alright people, the shift doesn't start until 30 minutes, but I want to run a uniform inspection, per Captain's orders." Arnold started. "And I'm obviously not going to go all military on you guys, we still have breakfast after that. Now come on." Arnold smiled as they all started to walk inside and past the Ladder truck. Stella and Pep joined them.

And when it's time to jump in, to tackle what's next . . . You just better hope that you're ready…

As the music ended, the scene transitioned to a beautiful view of the morning sun shining down across the city. And soon, it transitioned to MedStar Memorial Hospital, specifically to its outside cafe area.

During those six weeks, while Phoebe and Teddy haven't talked for around 2 and a half weeks, it was Teddy's willingness to finally listen and talk to Phoebe about a possible reunion and getting her job back as general surgeon. She recently got her job back two weeks back. After long conversations and apologies, Teddy and Phoebe reconciled and got back to their amazing duo status.

"Boy, it feels like forever since I've done this! And thanks to you-" Phoebe got interrupted.

Teddy took over. "No, it's all thanks to you for listening to me. It was a big mistake in firing you when you were only doing your job. But I'm really happy you're back. What wasn't a mistake was firing several residents, they weren't doing all that good for this hospital and mainly kept giving it a bad reputation. One of them was on my service and well, there are a bunch of things she has done that really got under my skin." She shivered a little.

"Like what?" Phoebe sipped her coffee and adjusted her name tag.

"Let me name one thing because I have a whole list of what that resident has done wrong. Stealing surgeries, being insubordinate and arrogant, and just didn't want to even answer to orders." Teddy listed out a few things.

Phoebe blankly blinked twice. "Wow, it really is a good thing those two were fired. I want to say I may have dealt with them but I'm not too certain…" She had her hand on her chin as she started thinking back.

"Anyhow, you're back just in time, because we're getting new interns later today." Teddy mentioned with a smile.

"Aw, that's great! Any idea when they'll be here?" Phoebe asked.

"Should be later today." Teddy replied.

The two soon stood up. "Alright, sweet! Well, let's get everything ready to soon have them welcomed before they start their intern year." Phoebe and Teddy soon started walking away with their coffees.

Soon In An Empty O.R…

Lights turned on.

"Each of you comes in here today hopeful." Teddy started with Phoebe beside her. "A month ago, you were in med school being taught by doctors. Today, you ARE the doctors." The interns started looking around the operating room.

"The seven years you spend as a surgical resident will be the best and worst of your life. You will be pushed to your breaking point. Look around. Say hello to your competition. Eight of you will switch to an easier specialty. Five of you will crack under the pressure. Two of you will be asked to leave. This is your starting line. This is your arena. How well you play . . . Is up to you."

The new interns kept looking around at the operating room.

"Tonight, I'll be having one of you guys scrub in for a craniotomy. I'll be picking the one who does their job like they're supposed to." Phoebe soon mentioned.

"I'm so jealous! One of you lucky dogs gets to work with one of the best surgeons in this hospital." Teddy added.

Teddy and Phoebe fist-bumped. "It'll be a great day to save lives." Phoebe whispered. Teddy only nodded in agreement.

An Hour Later Back At The Station

In the equipment room…

"Come on, Arnold! Stop it already! Come on, you're ticking me!" Spinelli giggled while Arnold kissed her neck.

"Just a minute… longer… Hold up!" Arnold replied while kissing her neck.

Arnold then turned her head to face him. "Come here, sweetheart." They started to kiss.

"I wish we had the day off." Arnold smiled.

"Shut up and kiss me!" Spinelli yanked his collar and pulled him into a kiss.

Let's take a brief moment to look back on what happened these past six weeks, shall we?

While Alexander, Spinelli, and Warren have been recovering from their injuries, Pep's recovery was a long road. She had to be in the ICU on a ventilator for about three days but about a week in the hospital. Everyone from 55 was beside her, but none more than Arnold, as her friend and Captain.

Donovan and Catherine have been slowly reconciling together. While it's been taking time for them to rebuild their relationship foundation, their love for one another remained.

Andy had recently turned ten months old a couple of weeks back. It was near that time when a baby could learn to crawl and possibly walk. Arnold and Spinelli have been seeing whether Andy could at least crawl yet.

How about Dean and his testament? Well… He was debating whether it should be Arnold and Spinelli as Kelly's (his daughter) parents if he were to die, or Ben and Bailey. Eventually, he decided to go with Warren and Bailey since he also knew how well they could take care of a kid. And soon enough, he had his testament in case he were to die in a fire.

Later

All of 55 were at the table having breakfast as they were joking around because that's where firefighters always bond. At the dinner table.

"Look, in all fairness, we think that she'll be able to crawl by the end of the month." Arnold had a confident look regarding Andy.

"50 Bucks says she does so." Dean pulled out his wallet.

"I'm taking 30 she doesn't." Vic added after taking a bite of cereal.

"Giving 20 she does." Scott said as he chewed on his apple.

"I'm placing 60 saying Arnold is the next Captain of 55. BOOM." Travis smacked the table.

"Oh, that's a good one. I'm placing 40." Warren pointed while chuckling.

"Oh, so that's how we're playing?" Michelle chuckled. "Placing 50 on myself." She smacked the table.

"Fuck it. Placing a hundred on Arnold." Tommy smacked the table while chewing several strawberries.

"I don't know whether those bets will work out for you guys." A male voice spoke up. Everyone turned around to see who it was.

Steven Randall was back. His hands were in his pockets as he pursed his lips.

"Randall?" Tommy questioned.

"Crap…" Vic whispered.

After Breakfast…

The team was down in the equipment room grabbing their respective gear to have it ready beside the trucks, while conversing about Randall returning.

"There's no way he's already back." Donovan mentioned. "Think he got the help he needed?" He then asked Michelle.

"That quick?" She replied while carrying her gear.

"If he's back, the Department signed off on it." Scott told Travis.

"So do we trust him or what?" Travis replied while they walked into the engine room.

Arnold then called out, "Line up!"

Everyone put their turnout gear next to the trucks and lined up. Randall joined them.

"Ok. So, Randall is back on probationary status. If and when he's deemed to be fit to return to full duty, he'll return to full Captaincy. Until that happens, I'll remain as acting Captain." Arnold finished and turned to Randall. "Did I leave anything out?"

Steven shook his head. "That covers it all." He replied. He then asked, "Where do you want me, Cap?"

Meanwhile…

Thanks to Stella, she had taken Pep back home to let her have some more recovery time.

"Thanks for the ride, Chief." She thanked her before walking inside.

"The least I can do for you, Clemente. Now rest up, you'll need it after the type of injury you suffered." Stella smiled. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to pick up some incident reports." She walked back to the Battalion pickup.

Soon…

The station alarm triggered. "Ladder 55, Engine 55, Aid Car 55, respond to Interstate 5," Dispatch started.

Everyone ran into the engine room and started putting on their turnout gear. Within seconds, everyone was in the respective trucks, while the engines were fired. The siren lights were on and reflecting inside the station.

Soon, the sirens started blaring as Ladder 55 was the first to roll off. The horns honked as they drove away. On a cloudy day, the trucks started driving away.

Minutes Later

As the trucks were seen speeding on the highway responding to their call, it then transitioned to inside Engine 55.

"Alexander, it's great to see you back." Randall started. Donovan gave a weird look. "Honestly." Steven added.

"What's going on with you?" Vic asked.

"What do you mean?" Randall asked.

"Y- You're weirding us out." Scott said while Travis was nodding in agreement while pursing his lips.

"No, I feel fine. Better than ever actually." Randall replied.

"You do?" Travis asked.

"Got weeks of sleep, the help I needed, and direction from professionals but I… I got it all figured out." Randall replied while Vic wasn't convinced, nobody was really convinced yet.

The radio switched on. "Report is a multiple car pileup with injuries reported. I want everyone focused." Arnold radioed the Engine unit.

As everyone took a deep breath, it transitioned back outside where the sirens were blaring, the horns honking loudly as they soon arrived where the highway was blocked with several cars being wrecked.

The Engine truck stopped first, then the Ladder and Aid Car. Everyone started hopping out of the trucks.

Arnold hopped out and started, "Cutler, Larson, go and set up a treatment area South of the crash. Gibson, Doss, Montgomery, Spinelli, Clyde, and Randall, secure the vehicles and access the patients! Wiggins, Powell, hoselines and extinguishers! Alexander, set up a parameter limit 100 feet South of the Engine."

As everyone started getting to work, Arnold then shouted, "Let's go! Let's go, people! We got lives to save!"

Later

"I need eyes on…"

Vic and Randall were securing one of the three vehicles.

"Please help me…!" The girl in the front seat whimpered.

"We're doing the best we can! What's your name? I'm Vic." She started as she looked over the damage.

"My name is Margo Ford, I live in…" While Margo listed out her blood type, where she lived, etc, Vic put on blue medic gloves.

She saw her dislocated ankle. She checked her ankle.

"Am I gonna die?! Am I gonna be paralyzed?!" Margo asked while Randall opened the hood of the destroyed car.

"Can you feel your legs?" Vic asked while touching them. Margo nodded. "It's good you can feel your legs! Can you tell me your friend's name?" Vic asked while checking her bloody ankle.

Sirens were heard approaching as the horns honked. More trucks had arrived to help. A green-yellowish tiller truck was seen in the background.

"Her name is Paige!" Margo replied. Paige was blankly staring ahead with her hands gripping the wheel.

"Paige, sweetie, tell me how you're doing!" No response. "Paige?!" No answer. "She's in shock…" Vic said while checking over Margo.

Randall was looking around as he soon looked in the backseat. He saw a mangled body. The back half of the roof crushed a male body, only legs were visible. Steven checked for a pulse. He found nothing.

He then looked at Vic. "Doss, we have one casualty, backseat." Vic looked back while Steven reached for his radio.

"Captain, we have three passengers in the coupe. Two females in the front, one deceased in the backseat."

"Copy." Arnold replied.

While Clyde ran by with a medic bag, Travis was extinguishing a different vehicle with an elderly couple.

"How are you doing in there?" Scott asked.

"I'm alright but you have to help Edna! She's been out since we crashed!" The man replied as he turned to Edna.

"Sir, I hear you and we will! But how are you? Any numbness? Tingling-" Scott asked, but the man interrupted.

"You're not listening to me YOU GOTTA GET HER OUT!" The man yelled as Edna woke up.

"John?" She had a cut on her forehead. "Oh, baby, you had me scared to death!" John replied.

Travis quickly cleared the broken glass from the door on the passenger side with his hands. He then took off his gloves. "Ma'am, are you in any pain?"

"I- I feel some tightness in my neck…" She replied while Travis got a neck brace.

"Alright, my name is Travis, that's Scott over there," Travis started while applying the neck brace. "We'll get you out as soon as we can, but I'll need your help, just stay really still for me." He soon went to the driver's side to Scott.

"Steering wheel is crushing the driver's chest." Scott informed.

"Crap…!" Travis went on the radio. "Cap. we need the rotary saw, the spreader, chains, and blocking (wood frame) over here with an extra set of hands."

"Copy, Montgomery. Equipment's headed your way with a set of hands." Arnold replied.

Travis ran back to the passenger side and picked up his crowbar. "Let's get you outta there!" He wedged the crowbar into the door to force it open.

"Just hang in there, guys!" Scott tried calming them.

Meanwhile

Pep was back home in her new home, six weeks later and she was still adjusting to her new home.

"Captain, we're about to complete extrication, we're gonna need another Aid Car on standby." Pep heard over the radio in the living room.

She just walked out of the bathroom, washing her hands after changing Andy's diaper. Since she moved in, she agreed to help out Arnold and Spinelli with their child.

She lightly rubbed her chest despite the stitches.

"Boy, I never thought this kind of thing would ever happen to anyone." She told herself while walking into Andy's room. She zipped up her jacket.

"Hey there, sweetie! How's it going?" She picked her up from her crib with Andy reaching for her.

"Oh, you cute little girl!" She kissed her cheek.

"I'm sure you miss Mommy and Daddy, but don't worry, they'll be back home before you know it! And they'll have the next three days off just for you!" She kissed her cheek again.

She soon grabbed a stuffed animal and started to toy with her.

Back at the car crash, while Dean and Tommy were securing a car, two firefighters were gossiping. Surprisingly.

"That's the guy." One man snickered. They walked past Tommy and Dean.

"Yeah, that's him!" They contained their laugh.

The numbers on the front of their helmets showed they were from company 15.

"SUV is secured." Tommy radioed.

"You have a compound fracture, I'm gonna secure it and this is not gonna be comfortable but I can give you something to help!" Vic told Margo.

A phone was heard ringing.

"Where's my phone?!" Margo started crying.

While Vic was working on Margo's ankle, Randall soon noticed Paige.

"Paige? Paige!" She finally started recognizing where she was.

"What? Where are we? What happened?" She saw Margo crying beside her. "Oh, no, no, no, no, no! This can't be happening!" She had her hands on her face.

"We're gonna get you outta here!" Randall said while securing the car.

"I lied to my Mom! I lied! Paige and I were headed to her house!" The phone started ringing again.

"You're not in trouble, we're here to help!" Randall replied.

"We all lie to our parents, ok? Paige, how old are you?" Vic asked.

"Her mom wouldn't buy her dress for prom and Margo wanted a sexy dress for prom!"

"OH MY GOD, BEN!" Margo shouted as she remembered the backseat passenger. Only his legs were visible.

"Ok, tell me about the prom dress!" Vic tried to distract them, but they started to cry and wail.

Soon, Randall was using the spreaders to open the wedged door.

"This is the worst day of your life, we understand but we have to get you out of the car. We don't know the extent of your injuries so we have to get you out to assess you." Randall briefly stopped the spreaders. "Try to calm down, you're doing great. Just stay still." He continued to use the spreaders.

Paige finally found Margo's phone. Vic applied a neck brace around Margo's neck. "Just focus on me!" Paige handed Margo her phone.

"Cover your eyes!" Randall told them. He finally got the door opened as glass flew from the broken window.

"MOMMY! I LIED AND I'M SO SORRY!…" Margo wailed.

A stretcher was then brought over to the coupe.

Meanwhile, Scott broke the car window on the driver's side.

"Edna, you okay?" Travis asked and crouched.

"I'm fine but John has blood coming from his mouth!" Edna replied while looking at John.

"John, can you breathe?" Scott asked. He only shook his head as blood dripped from his mouth.

"Aye, Cutler, I'm gonna need oxygen over here! Asap!" He radioed.

"John, you do not get to die! Do you hear me? Do you understand me, you stubborn ass?" He chuckled despite the blood in his mouth.

"Remember carrying around that silly ring? Waiting for the right moment to put it on… You can't die! You cannot die yet!" She kissed his cheek with the oxygen mask on his face. "That was not goodbye…"

"Edna, we need to get you out now." Travis told her. She soon laid back. "Cross your arms for me." She was soon taken out of the car.

While that was happening, Stella soon arrived at the crash site. A bunch of cars were held up.

"Alexander." She greeted. "Chief, I…"

"Yes?"

"We're sorry for what's been happening lately." Donovan told her.

"Thank you." She started to walk away.

Back at the coupe…

A rotary saw was cutting off the broken door. Two firefighters removed it as Randall crouched near Margo.

"Alright, close your eyes and keep them closed. You'll be alright." He comforted.

Soon, Margo was taken out of the car and onto the stretcher.

"Paige, you're next!" Vic called out.

Margo was strapped onto the stretcher and wheeled away.

"This does not define you, Paige!" Randall took off his black helmet and climbed into the car. "Gloves." He asked Vic. She handed him a pair of blue medic gloves. "This is defining moment but it doesn't define who you are."

"Ow!"

"I know how you feel, Paige… A friend of mine got into an accident at work, which probably was my fault," While Randall began to tell her about an experience, Vic couldn't help but overhear what it was about. "He had a daughter and it's my fault he'll entirely miss her life. First thing I wake up to and last thing I think about before going to bed…" Paige listened attentively while whimpering. "You are only 16, life isn't fair and I'm real sorry you had to learn it like this but we're gonna get you out of this car and you're going to be reunited with your family," Randall applied a neck brace around her neck. "You're going to live, you're going to learn from this mistake, make amends with yourself, and live. Okay?"

"Okay…" Paige replied. Vic gulped as she heard the little story.

"I'm sorry about your friend." Randall told her. Paige answered, "Sorry about yours." She had a sad look.

It was starting to rain as it went back to John.

"Alright, John, how are we doing?" Scott asked as Travis set up the chains and spreaders against a piece of wood.

"How's Edna?" John asked. "She's fine, she's alright." Scott replied.

"Oh thank God…" He exhaled. Scott applied a neck brace around his neck. "I loved that girl since I was 13… I never thought I'd see her again when she moved away in high school… I never forgot her, and I was lonely… When I got divorced, my grandson showed me how to search up people on those friendship websites…" He started tearing up. Travis was also listening. "All I wanted to do was find Edna… She always made my heart race, like when we were kids…" He softly chuckled.

"Steering wheel lift is ready, Gibson." Travis gave the thumbs up.

"Copy." He replied. "Alright, we're gonna lift the steering wheel off your chest, you may feel lightheaded but that'll be normal. We're here doing everything we can."

"If I don't make it, the ring is in the front left pocket of my bag…"

"You'll give it to her yourself… You hear me?" Scott reassured him.

"I hope so… But if not… At least I had her again for a while…" Scott only gulped as he put the oxygen mask back on his face.

Meanwhile, for Donovan, he had to keep back any cars and civilians. Cars honked at him but he could care less.

"What's the hold-up, Mister?!" A man marched forward with two ladies following.

"Sir, I need you to get back to your vehicle! We're doing everything we can!" He held back the two women. "Ladies! Ladies! I need you to get back to your vehicles!"

"But my daughter is back there! She called me!"

"Yeah, and my son is with them! He has a crush on her Margo! You have to-"

"WAIT! Wait!" he reached for his radio. "Chief, I have two mothers that believe their children are near you?"

"Let 'em through." Stella replied.

Rain started coming down harder, soaking his turnout coat and making his helmet shine.

Donovan let the two ladies go through.

"Unbelievable." The man said. "I'm filing a formal complaint-"

"THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE HURT!" Donovan shouted. "Those parents' lives have changed permanently and you think this is an inconvenience?! YOU ARE AN INCONVENIENCE! You are keeping me from doing my job because you'd rather be somewhere else! Everyone behind me would rather be somewhere else less scary, less life-altering, less painful NOW GET BACK TO YOUR CAR!" He shut the man up.

He only walked back to his car as Donovan shook his head in disgust. He turned around to see one of the mothers distraught, finding out the deceased person was her son.

Background Music: Head-Up by Talos

He only exhaled while Stella was comforting the mother.

The spreaders were activated to lift off the steering wheel. John was laid back and stabilized. He was dragged out onto the stretcher by several firefighters but he had lost his pulse when the steering wheel was lifted off his chest.

Paige was waiting to be extricated, the backboard was taken off the stretcher and slid into the car.

With John already extricated from his car, Paige was now being extricated from her car.

Scott was doing chest compressions on John until he managed to restart his heart.

Soon enough… "I got a pulse! Alright, let's go!" They wheeled the stretcher toward an ambulance.

While they ran toward the Aid Car, Stella walked over to Paige's car and grabbed a backpack from there. She started to walk over to the rear of Engine 55.

As it soon transitioned to an operating room, Phoebe had her surgical mask on and was ready for surgery.

"Alright, everyone. Today's a beautiful day to save lives, let's have some fun!" She cheerfully told everyone in the operating room.

Everyone mainly clapped.

Meanwhile, back home, after a while of toying and playing with Andy, Pep was now putting her to sleep for her nap.

She put Andy in her crib and kissed her forehead. She then rested a stuffed animal near her as she soon walked away quietly.

Back at the crash, Stella handed the backpack to the mother who was crying her eyes out.

After a few minutes, ambulance doors were closed and it soon took off for MedStar. Soon, as the music faded, Vic then turned to Randall.

"You okay?" She asked. "That girl's life won't be the same. She lived, so that's a win, right?" They walked away.

"Good work, team. Let's get this scene cleaned up." Stella radioed.

"I guess Shortman thinks she's still in charge?" The firefighters from Station 15 mocked her. He put down the piece of blocking wood while his partner carried the chains.

"Aye, who the hell do you think you are?!" Dean came over to the two arrogant firefighters.

"It's the station she constantly milks! So biased for a Chief!" He laughed.

"Say it to my face. You have something against my Mother?!" Arnold spoke up. The firefighter cowered once he heard him.

"Woah, man. We were just saying, she's just-"

"She's a damn hero and icon to this Department! She's done something no other woman has done! She's received awards for valor and bravery! She's risked her life time and time again to save sorry-ass bitches like you! She's more qualified to be a Battalion Chief than you are even WEARING THAT DAMN GEAR!" Arnold clenched his coat. "Let alone hold a life in your pathetic hands! Walkin' around here thinkin' you're a bigshot firefighter who saves lives! Bitch you can't even roll up a hose to save your life! So I suggest you shut your fucking mouth. You guys came to F.D. to be something, bitch you're nothing but a big ass phony who brags of being a first responder! One thing I find extremely sorry is that it's her job to save sorry-ass bitches like you and your pathetic brainless twit of a friend. Now shut your fucking mouth before I rip out your tongue and make you eat it."

The firefighter from 15 didn't even move a muscle.

Arnold then pushed him away as he walked away. Tommy shoved him off as he walked away.

"Everyone! Back to work!" Arnold shouted.

"Asshole…" He grumbled.

"Yo, what'd you say?!" Dean pushed him.

"I ain't repeating myself!" He said.

"That's it!" Tommy came back and threw a punch at him.

"TOMMY, STAND DOWN!" Arnold soon grabbed onto his coat.

As a fight soon escalated between them, blood dripped from his nose as Tommy threw another punch at his face.

Later That Night

Tommy and Dean were dismissed early after the crash and Arnold had to report it to the Department despite not wanting to.

"Ok. Ok, thank you. Bye." Scott hung up the phone as Travis came over with the laundry.

"John lived. He proposed and she said yes all over again."

"You called the hospital?" Travis asked while putting the dirty laundry in the washing machine.

"I know I seem stupid but I had to. I don't know what even happened to me. I don't know who I am anymore. I used to be ambitious, competitive, a lady's man," Scott referred to his early days, especially who he was a couple of years ago. "And now I don't even wanna be Captain or even less a Lieutenant. I don't know how to flirt," Travis merely laughed. "And I care about old people now." Scott finished.

"I think I know what's going on. You've been through a lot in the last couple of years, it changes people. I like you better now." He chuckled. "You may have gotten weird, but you've also gotten honest. Even admitted your feelings like a real person." Travis closed the washing machine. "Scott, who we are changes a lot, that is if we're lucky to stay alive. Look at John and Edna. They're lucky to stay alive all this time and look at them now. Living all this time to find each other again and live in each other's lives."

Scott nodded. "Yup. Thanks, Montgomery." He patted his shoulder. Travis patted his chest.

Right as he was about to walk away, Scott stopped him and pulled him into a hug.

"Ok, let's not make a habit of this. This is Vic's usual gig…" Travis chuckled while hugging him.

I just noticed how Arnold and Spinelli barely had any lines in this chapter lol. But it also gave a chance for the others to shine
