It honestly goes unsaid, but I just want to take a moment to thank you deeply for reading this story and I greatly appreciate the support! Thank you so much!

Fifteen Minutes Later…

"... Looks like you passed with flying colors!" Dr. Reese smiled.

Spinelli exhaled in relief. "So, am I cleared to return to my duty?" She asked. Reese nodded. "Indeed you are."

Arnold rubbed Spinelli's shoulder and kissed her forehead. "See? Nothing to worry about, sweetie." He smiled warmly. Arnold kissed her cheek, with Spinelli leaning into his kiss with a soft smile.

Over with two other female commanding officers at the firehouse, Michelle finally found Stella in her office.

Knocking on her door, she stepped in. "Chief? You got a minute?" Michelle asked.

Stella set down a file. "Ah. Captain. Come in, what can I do for you?" She smiled.

Michelle gulped as she closed the door behind her. "Chief… about the transfer from a few days ago…" Michelle started. "... I have a decision made up, BUT, I have one condition, if I may…"

Stella nodded. "Ok. Shoot."

"I'm willing to transfer to Engine, but I want to return to Truck occasionally. You know? Like how the Lieutenants did before, switching back and forth between companies." Michelle explained. Stella nodded understandingly. "So, you're willing to transfer back to Engine, but you want to go back on Truck from time to time?" Stella summarized.

Michelle nodded. "That's right."

Stella nodded slowly. "I'd say I can make it happen, I just need my two Lieutenants back so that way I can discuss it with them. Although…"

"Yeah?"

"I will miss the work Spinelli does on Engine… But, I do know she'll be back occasionally." Stella smiled. "I'd say the position is yours, but I have to see if Lieutenant Spinelli is up for it, but I'm pretty confident she'll agree."

Michelle smiled back. "Thanks, Chief."

Soon…

Soon, Engine and Squad were finally back at the firehouse. The brakes hissed as the Lieutenants hopped out.

"Alright, Engine, rearrange the hose lines and fill up the tank. Check the compartment areas, make sure this rig is ready for our next call." Spinelli said as she hung her coat on the mirror and sighed after.

Soon, while Spinelli was stretching and rubbing her neck, Michelle came over. "Lieutenants. A word with the Chief."

Arnold and Spinelli looked at each other in confusion but soon followed behind McShay.

Entering the Chief's office, Stella sat against her desk, looking over another file with the label 'SQUAD' on the front.

"You wanted to see us, Chief?" Spinelli asked.

"Specifically you, my dear." Stella set down the file. "Arnold, I'll talk with you after regarding something for Squad. Um… So, Spinelli, I'm not sure if you're aware-"

Spinelli cut her off. "Yeah, I'm aware, thanks to this guy." She briefly looked at Arnold.

"Right. Um… McShay has agreed to transfer to Engine, under one condition…" Stella soon pointed at Michelle. "Lieutenant, I'm willing to transfer to Engine, just as long as I can come back to Truck occasionally."

Spinelli looked at Arnold for a moment, and then back at Michelle. She hesitated for a moment.

"Are you ready to take on the challenge of being Truck's Commanding Officer?" Stella asked with a warm smile growing.

"... W- Yes! Yes, of course! I'm on board with that! When can I start back on Truck? Does the next shift after sound good?"

Stella nodded. "Whenever you're ready, Lieutenant." Stella smiled. "Captain, Lieutenant, you're dismissed. Arnold?"

Michelle and Spinelli nodded and soon walked out while Arnold stepped forward. "Yeah?"

Stella grabbed the file and showed him what was inside. "Look at that…" A picture showed the latest SCBA from the brand 'Scott', the 'Air-Pak X3 Pro SCBA'. Stella smiled as she looked at the picture herself. "The latest SCBA from Scott. Not from Gibson, obviously." She chuckled. "But I had my eye on this pup for a while, I wasn't exactly sure if I should order these from the Commissioner since we have the MSA G1… Um… But, I want to know if you know anything."

Arnold shrugged. "Scott SCBAs have a more guarantee in air time with 60 minutes, our MSA SCBAs run to 30, 45, or 60. MSA has a thermal imaging camera device, you know. One thing I will also say… Scott SCBAs are heavier than MSA, by like… I don't know. A few pounds? Maybe more? Or possibly lighter… I heard that they're more comfortable than MSA." Arnold paused for a moment. "Mom, they both have their pros and cons, but in truth, I think Scott could be a good fit for Squad. Heck, for all companies on occasions."

Stella nodded slowly and understandingly. "Ok, ok… I think I've made my decision. I just hope the Department can do us this favor… Thanks, hon." She smiled at her son. She set the file aside and opened her arms for a hug. "C'mon, honey. I haven't seen my son in a while, only my Lieutenant!" She warmly smiled.

Arnold smiled and soon hugged her. "I missed you, Mom…" Stella smiled warmly. "I missed you, son…" She rubbed his back slowly.

They soon let go. "Everything okay with you?" Arnold asked out of curiosity.

Stella nodded. "For once, I feel like I'm able to lay low from the Commissioner's radar, considering the amount of… stuff, that happens here at 55." She patted his shoulder. "Go on. Go see your wife, I know you're anxious to see her." She smirked.

Arnold merely chuckled as he walked out of the office.

Shortly after, Arnold found Spinelli in the Officer's Quarters writing up the report from their last call.

"Hey." Arnold smiled as he walked in. Spinelli spun her chair around and smiled once she saw it was her husband. "Arnold! There you are!"

Nuzzling their noses together, they smiled at each other and soon kissed slowly and passionately.

Separating after, they couldn't help but give more kisses on each other's lips. Soon after, Arnold wrapped his arms over Spinelli and smiled. "Told you I can make it happen." He chuckled.

Spinelli merely smiled as she shook her head lightly. "I honestly wonder how you even do it."

Arnold shrugged. "I don't know either. What I do know is that you have to look over your rosters for Truck and Engine." He smirked.

Spinelli shrugged. "Welp… I'm more than curious about how I'll do. But ugh, it'll certainly be better than my first shift as Lieutenant. God, that was awful… Just wanted to grab the guy and beat the living hell out of him! Getting him transferred to eventually losing his job wasn't enough at the time…" She groaned.

"At the time?" Arnold asked while raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah… Because I felt content now, while he's a nobody, I made a name for myself, and look where I am." Spinelli looked at Arnold and smiled happily and joyfully. "Happily married to the most caring, compassionate, amazing, charming, and fearless leader of our Rescue Squad…" She lightly giggled while touching the Lieutenant bugle insignia on his collar.

Arnold nuzzled against her and kissed her cheek. "You're my other half, Spinelli…" He smiled warmly and softly as he tightened his grip around her.

"I love you…" Spinelli smiled as she continued writing her report. All Arnold did was kiss her head. Spinelli took it as an 'I love you' gesture and smiled softly and warmly while admiring her wedding ring.

Later…

Later, around half an hour, over at MedStar…

Walking to the Chief of Surgery's officer, Phoebe found Teddy rather upset.

"What's with the long face, Ted? Normally you aren't like this." Phoebe sat against her desk. "C'mon… Spill."

Teddy shrugged. "I guess I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?" Phoebe raised an eyebrow suspiciously. "Ugh… I'm not sure, Heyerdhal… I guess accumulated stress? Look, I'm not feeling myself too much right now…"

Phoebe soon suggested, "Come on. Why don't we get coffee or something?"

Right as Teddy was going to answer, their pagers immediately went off. Sirens wailed outside their ambulance bay, only it wasn't ambulances…

"Guess we have more work already…" Teddy stood up.

Minutes later, downstairs in the ER…

"I want all nurses, doctors, and techs on call down here immediately!" Teddy exclaimed as a patient came in.

"She's pouring blood everywhere! Prep a chest tray for an ER thoracotomy!" Catherine directed while the cardiac monitor beeped rapidly.

"Hey, hey, hey!" Teddy stopped them. "We're on mass casualty protocol! No chances of recovery, I'm sorry, no resuscitation! Save the living. Get her out!"

Another patient came in. "... Weak pulse, not breathing… three, four holes, face, neck chest!" Phoebe overlooked the injuries as they entered the Trauma One room.

Four patients came in from the ambulance bay, three in gurneys, one kid carried in his father's arms.

"Reese! Treatment two! Johnson! Treatment one!" Teddy told them. "Jackson, I need you in Trauma One!" Teddy ordered as patients were being wheeled into the ER.

"Blood in the pelvis. Two more units of o-neg on the rapid transfuser!" Phoebe started. "Block party at the park, probably thousands of people down there… Oliver, take over!" Phoebe walked out and found Teddy.

"Chief!"

"... No compressions, we can't save him, he's lost too much blood!" Teddy stopped the nurse. "Time of death, 9:29 AM. Get him out, move our new patient in!" She looked at Phoebe. "Heyerdhal?"

"Chief… we're most likely gonna have thousands of patients, at least dozens of casualties…" Phoebe told her. Teddy sighed. "The nearby hospitals will have more than they can handle…"

Dr. Johnson, head of psych, came in to calm a woman who was freaking out. "Hey- Look at me, look at me, look at me, look at me!" He took her hands. "You see me holding your hands? You're safe, you're in a hospital. You're here with trusted hands. I'm Dr. Johnson, can you tell me your name?" He calmed the woman down.

"Jill…"

Soon, over in the waiting room…

"Get a gurney over here!" Dr. Reese called out after elevating a young man's legs.

"BP dropped too low.. Get him fluids and send him up for an x-ray of his arm." She told the nurse who brought the gurney.

Over with Teddy, she had her white coat off and was in her scrubs with Phoebe. "We still have more incoming from what Kylie's telling me." Teddy started as ambulance sirens flashed at them. "Come on, we have to help unload these Ambos and Aid Cars."

Outside, as an Engine company was leaving, sirens flashing, the ambulance bay was crowded with people, ambulances, a pickup truck coming in with victims in the cargo bed, police squad cars following in behind, and Ambulance 55 coming in as Engine 55 was parking at the entrance of the ambulance bay.

A horn blared loudly behind the two as red and white sirens flashed behind, Squad 55 came in with more victims loaded in their truck. As Squad parked at a weird slanted angle, the entire ambulance bay was filled with yelling, and shouting, siren lights flashing everywhere.

"Holy mother of…" Teddy stood still. In all her years at Med, this was the biggest disaster she had seen. Phoebe only gulped as an ambulance tried to back out, but was blocked off by police squad cars.

Later, back inside…

"Where do you want us?" A medic asked as they brought in another patient. "Wherever you can fit!" The ER nurse said. "Hallways, trauma rooms, wherever!" Kylie sighed as she looked around.

Over in a treatment room, blood poured from a man's neck, Phoebe had to keep pressure on it. "... Two hemostats and 10 ml of lidocaine."

"We're almost out of lidocaine, waiting on resupply. What about fentanyl? 25?" Teddy suggested. "Yeah, 25, can't dope him up, I need him to be sent for neuro!"

"Sir, squeeze my hand as tight as you can!" Teddy told the man as Phoebe started clamping the wound where blood was pouring.

"AH! AAH!" The man squeezed Teddy's hand. "Come on! We're almost done!" She encouraged as Phoebe was clamping the hole.

"Done!" Phoebe finished clamping the hole. "He needs an OR as fast as possible!" Teddy didn't know what to say as several nurses rushed by.

"We're stabilizing patients but if they aren't getting into surgery, we'll slowly collapse this ER! Phoebe, please tell me you have an idea…"

Phoebe immediately snapped her fingers. "What about casualty collection areas? Designated zones for specific treatments, especially for surgical eval. We stay put while patients come in and out."

Teddy nodded quickly. "Essentially an assembly line… Worth a try. Get it set up now, I'll notify the others!" The two immediately ran out of the treatment room.

Soon…

Walking by treatment areas, Teddy was walking along with nurses. "CTs and X-rays are in the elevator hallways, if the line gets long, snake it around the corner." Teddy started. "Molly, One and Two are laceration repair and hemorrhage control. Dr. Steele, Trauma One is reserved for chest tubes, once they're in, Trauma Two is surgical eval. Go! Move!" Teddy sighed as she walked to another treatment area. "Dr. Holiday, you're in Six and Seven. Nothing but intubations, any respiratory problems will be headed to you."

"Copy, but, uh, Chief, meds are a problem. It's taking nurses forever to run back and forth to get any meds here." Dr. Holiday said. "I'll override the fingerprint scanner on the medication dispenser, leave the door open so nurses can stuff their pockets with necessary meds." Teddy answered and walked away.

Teddy soon went to a treatment area. "I need help over here!" She found a kid and a man brought in.

"WHERE'S MY MOM?" The young girl asked. Teddy got on blue latex gloves to examine the little girl. "We're doing everything we can, sweetie. I need to help you, I need to look over you, is that ok?" The girl nodded.

The girl screamed in pain when Teddy uncovered the wound in her left hand. "Bullet wounds to the left hand and left thigh… Pulse in arm and feet are stable, no life-threatening injuries! Alright, send her upstairs, 4 of morphine for the pain. They can get her dressed up there! Be brave, sweetheart!" Teddy patted the girl's shoulder.

She nodded even though she was scared.

The little girl was wheeled out first, with the man being wheeled out behind. The female doctor behind Teddy sighed.

"Good call on this plan…" She said. Teddy exhaled. "Thanks, Pierce… Doing everything necessary to save as many lives as we can. It's thanks to Heyerdahl we have this new plan. Instead of running around having to find patients, patients are able to find us…" Teddy took a deep breath and exhaled deeply.

Meanwhile, walking through the hallways, Reese was carrying a child that was pronounced DOA (dead on arrival) to the morgue.

Inside the morgue, a handful of bodies were already there. Setting down the poor child, Reese covered his corpse, sniffling before walking out without looking back.

Outside the ER, things were somewhat organized now. Triage was right outside the entrance, gurneys were outside for the needed.

"... Good pulse and BP diminished breath sounds on the left. Send him up for a chest X-ray." Catherine was currently leading triage and sent off another patient inside.

Approaching another patient, she adjusted her gloves as blood was smeared on her arms. "Hey, how are we over here?" She asked. The young man groaned. "Fine…"

"Yeah? Alright, log roll." Catherine rolled the young man onto his side. Looking at his back… "One… Two… Ok, two bullet holes, left delt, right upper back. Chest tube, then CT chest thoracic spine. Keep him on his side. Go!" Catherine patted his arm. "You'll be just fine, ok?" She told the young man as he was wheeled inside.

Phoebe came outside. "We have more ambos inbound! Dr. Shepherd, Trauma One! I'll take over." Catherine only nodded as she went inside while Phoebe went over to two paramedics.

Over with Teddy… "Heart rates jumping, BPs crashing! There's only a trickle of blood coming from the chest tube!" Teddy mentioned as she looked over their current patient.

"Two holes only… He was stable a minute ago! Hemorrhagic shock?" Dr. Pierce asked.

"The GSW must've traversed the liver." Teddy said as she worked on the chest tube. "Get a fast scan, 2 units of o-neg, and 2 of plasma on the rapid transfuser! His chest tube is clotted, must've taken a while but he's coagulopathic."

"Scan is positive, he's bleeding into his chest and belly." Dr. Pierce told Teddy the scan results. "Then I need to replace his tube. Scissors?"

Catherine soon came in. "Chief, what's up?"

"This guy needs surgery but all ORs are packed! I need to convert Trauma One and do it here!" Teddy answered as she was about to cut the chest tube. "We have more victims en route, you won't be able to do it here." Catherine replied. "Take the doctor's lounge, it's the only place you can do it! Four walls and a door, quietest as you can get right now."

"Are you insane? No gas lines, suction lines, airflow capabilities, and short electrical outlets and lighting?" Dr. Pierce went over the flaws.

Blood poured from the chest tube hole. Teddy immediately applied pressure to stop the bleed. "Screw it, I'll take it! Come on, let's move!"

Within minutes, in the doctor's lounge, was cleared out and surgical equipment was in place.

"This is a lot of change and our patient is running out of time, I need your help! I need you on anesthesia and air control." Teddy told Dr. Steele. "W- Uh, Chief? I only have three hours of surgical experience…" Steele answered.

"You get more today, kid." Teddy replied. "Bring the patient in." Teddy told Catherine.

Soon, entering the ER was Tanner and Phoebe. Tanner had two undercover officers from Intelligence.

"So, an officer saw the guy ditch the assault rifle and got a shot off, but lost him in the crowd." Tanner explained. "And you think he's here?" Phoebe asked.

Tanner nodded. "Most likely. We recovered a hoodie that tested positive for gunshot residue and there was blood on it." He explained as they walked through the ER.

"So the officer might've shot him?" Phoebe asked. Tanner shrugged. "That's our theory. Medics either brought him in or he's hiding among the injured so we're checking all hospitals with the officer's partial description. White male, brown hair, medium height, build, and dark pants. Mind if my guys go through the ED?" Tanner described and then asked.

Phoebe nodded. "I'm sure Teddy will allow it. But look, we're barely holding it together here, what's happening?" She asked. Tanner saw a patient being wheeled behind Phoebe and soon answered, "People are scared."

After intubating another patient, Holiday saw Tanner. "Hey. Tanner."

Tanner looked behind him. "How's it looking out there?" Holiday asked. Tanner shook his head. "It's bad, every cop in the city is after this guy, even the FBI." He walked away to search the Emergency Department.

Over in the doctor's lounge…

"I don't care about viability, I only care about the bleeding…" Teddy said as she dug through the abdomen. "Our priority is to stop the bleeding, stop the spillage, and move on to the next patient. Got it?" She mentioned.

Dr. Pierce nodded.

Meanwhile, while victims were still being brought in, the HFD still had their hands full with multiple companies still bringing patients in their trucks with ambulances having their hands full.

After helping a woman find her son, Reese let go of the woman who hugged her while a Squad Lieutenant and driver/engineer wheeled in another patient with two nurses.

"Never seen anything this bad…" Cruz mentioned. Arnold exhaled. "Tell me about it…" Sweat dripped from their faces.

"I know I said this city was a mess, but, God, I didn't mean it like that!" Cruz shook his head. Arnold sighed. "Come on, we still have more work since all ambos in the city have their hands full."

"Let's go." Cruz and Arnold turned to head back toward their Squad truck, but Cruz went off as Arnold accidentally bumped into a familiar face…

"Sorry, ma'am- Wait… Dr. Reese?" Arnold noticed he ran into Spinelli's psych doctor from earlier. "Lieutenant?" Reese looked up at him.

"Yo- you alright?" He asked. Reese nodded, somewhat shakily. "Y- Yeah… Yeah, I'm alright." Arnold only patted her shoulder as he followed behind Cruz.

"Lieutenant?" She looked at him. Arnold looked at her. She hesitated to say what she wanted to say, but said it anyway. "… Be careful."

He lightly nodded. "Good luck here." He answered back. Reese warmly smiled as Arnold followed behind Cruz.

After watching them run out back to their rig, Reese exhaled lightly as she felt her cheeks red hot staring at the messy blonde-haired Rescue Squad Lieutenant. She briefly touched her curly hair and recomposed herself.

Reese merely exhaled as she fanned herself, trying to cool off her cheeks, but the sight of Arnold's messy hair kept replaying in her head, making her feel some sort of way...

Back at the ED entrance…

"Stared right through me… White male, brown hair, medium build, dark pants. He's acting pretty sketchy." Kylie was with Catherine and Tanner.

Tanner saw the suspicious man. "I see him." He gave the nod to his officers.

While the officers went to stand at the exits, Tanner stood in front of their suspect. "Hillwood Police, sir, I need to talk to you." Tanner calmly ordered.

"I didn't do anything…" The suspect stood up. "Drop the bag and show me your hands." Tanner calmly told him.

"I didn't do anything…" The suspect refused to let go. "Drop the bag and show me your hands!" Tanner shouted.

The suspect threw the backpack at Tanner's face and ran into the ER.

Running inside, he was met by a male doctor who pushed him down against a gurney. Tanner and Intelligence immediately came over.

Tanner aggressively pinned the suspect down as his officers had their weapons drawn.

"Don't even think about moving." Tanner warned as he handcuffed their suspect.

Soon after getting their suspect out of the ED, Tanner went back to get the backpack and see what was inside. In the backpack, he only found multiple wallets and expensive phones with random money at the bottom.

"He's just a thief, opportunist scum." Tanner shook his head and put back the stuff for PD.

"Detective, I know you have a job to do, but the description of the shooter is pretty vague." Catherine said. "Dr. Shepherd, if I think I found the son of a bitch, I'm going after him." Tanner soon walked away as a patient was wheeled by him.

"ICU for rewarming and resuscitation." Dr. Steele started. "Bring in our next patient." He motioned the nurses with another patient.

Soon, another patient was brought into the ED.

"Hit by a car escaping the scene. Broken ribs, diminished breath sounds in the left chest, he needs a chest tube." Phoebe informed the doctor in charge of Trauma One.

Over at Six and Seven. "Put her on the vent." Dr. Holiday ordered.

"She's getting our last ventilator." The nurse said as he adjusted the endotracheal tube strap. "Switch to bags full time. Get extra tubing and split it, two patients on a single vent." Holiday said as he intubated another patient.

"The vent isn't strong enough!" Another nurse said. "If we match patients the same size, up the tidal volume, should be enough to hold." Holiday suggested as he finished intubating.

Over with Phoebe and Dr. Johnson, at the entrance of the ambulance bay.

"... create a disaster so he can rise up and become a hero, you know? I don't know." Dr. Johnson explained to Phoebe as Tanner and Intelligence came over.

"We got a name. Trent Harris, 43." Tanner told them.

"Tanner? Dr. Johnson was wondering if it could be this guy behind you. The blue shirt guy?" Phoebe suggested. Tanner looked back for a moment. "He's been telling us his name is Kadarius."

"He'd definitely give a fake name." Tanner replied.

Dr. Johnson then asked, "How'd you make your ID?"

"Registered AR-15 we recovered at the scene." Tanner answered. "You two, sit tight and tuck in, keep an eye on him." He told his two officers. "PD is pulling DMV photos. If we get a positive ID, be ready to evacuate this place." Tanner suggested.

"I'll inform Teddy and spread the word." Phoebe walked outside. "Thank you, Dave." Dr. Johnson said. Tanner nodded.

Tanner soon went with one of his officers. "SWAT and FBI raided Harris's house, place looked like shit from floor to ceiling, major hoarder. They also found a body in the place, ID'd to be his wife. Looks like he shot her dead." He told his colleague, but Dr. Johnson looked up, possibly finding a clue to PD's puzzle.

Walking into the ED, he found an empty bed with stained blood while a nurse treated two other patients.

"Molly? Where is he? Where'd this guy go?" He asked. Molly looked in confusion and without an answer. "I don't know." Dr. Johnson went outside to the ambulance bay.

Outside, the place was still busy. Medics and doctors wheeling in patients, Phoebe and Catherine were helping unload patients from multiple ambulances, and more ambulances parked as a heavy Squad truck came back, Squad 55. Catherine was standing beside where they parked.

Looking around for a moment, an ambulance came in, sirens wailing, and parked in the first available space. Dr. Johnson soon looked to his right, right in front of where Ambulance 194 parked. More sirens came in wailing as he shouted "HELP! I NEED HELP!" Engine 55 was coming in as Catherine ran over to help Dr. Johnson.

"Hey, Suarez! Give me a hand here!"

"Hey, Doss! You and Johanssen get him! Warren and I got this guy!"

"TREVOR!" Dr Johnson kneeled next to the guy to check his pulse. A trail of blood led them to Trevor as he sat in a pool of blood…

Soon, inside the ER…

"Thready pulse, hole in the neck. Slashed his wrist. Multiple stab wounds to the abdomen!" Catherine told the incoming doctors and nurses.

Phoebe would take over as Tanner looked over, hoping it was the right suspect.

"He's lost a lot of blood. Hang two units of o-neg and start bagging!" Phoebe started as Catherine came over. "I'll intubate. 20 of etomidate and 100 of sux!" She directed as she grabbed the intubation kit.

"Stats, 82, heart rate, 130." One nurse said.

"Interior abdomen stab wounds. Belly's distended. fast scan?" Phoebe ordered as she looked at his wrists. Tanner walked to Dr. Johnson to show the suspect's picture. "Razor slash to the bone." Phoebe mentioned as she applied hydrogen peroxide.

"Fast scan is positive." The nurse told them as Teddy came over. "Where are we?"

"Belly's full of blood. He needs surgery now." Phoebe told her. Teddy nodded. "Doctor's lounge, move it."

As they prepped Trevor to move, Tanner tapped Teddy's shoulder and showed her the picture. "Ted. That's our guy. Don't let him die on the table, I need you to keep him alive at all costs." Tanner explained. Teddy nodded as they moved the shooter to the doctor's lounge. Teddy and Tanner followed.

Later…

After stabilizing the alleged shooter, he was wheeled out under anesthesia as Tanner and other officers would follow. Teddy took off her surgical safety glasses as Catherine came over.

"Tired?" Teddy nodded and exhaled deeply. "I'm more than exhausted, Cathy…" She answered. Catherine tapped her shoulder. "Hey. They still need help upstairs in the ORs." Teddy barely chuckled and whistled. "Way to cheer me up, huh?" Catherine also chuckled. "Alright… Let's go…" The two soon walked off to the elevator hallway.

An Hour and A Half Later…

Pushing late noon, Phoebe was leaning against a desk as she clenched her stethoscope around her neck, looking around at the entire mess and spilled blood all over the floors. Her navy blue scrubs were stained with blood, including her arms...

Teddy came over after yanking off her surgical mask. "Great work today, Heyerdhal." Teddy patted her shoulder and walked away. Phoebe was just about speechless.

Catherine came over, her black scrubs stained with blood. "Probably the busiest day we've ever had, mm?" She leaned against the same desk and crossed her arms.

Phoebe merely shrugged, still speechless. "These ten or so years at Med… This has to be the wildest, craziest, and messiest day." Phoebe was somewhat fighting back tears as she looked around at the entire ER, covered in a complete mess.

Catherine nodded, understandingly as she felt her words hit hard. "Yeah…" She sniffled. "Five years here and ten years into my career… Definitely one for the books, and a story to tell my kids one day." She lightly chuckled. Phoebe nodded. "Yeah… One heckuva story… Wouldn't it?"

Catherine stretched her neck. "Yeah… Not just on our side, but for our firefighters and police officers. I can already picture it… Donovan and all of 55 at the firehouse… tired. Exhausted. Sweaty… You name it." The Italian woman let a tear slip down her cheek.

Phoebe looked over at Reese, motioning her over. "C'mere…" She whispered.

Reese quietly came over and leaned against the same desk the two were leaning against. Phoebe put an arm over her as they looked ahead, looking back at the craziest day they've ever had.

"Crazy thing about today…" Reese started. "... It was only three or four hours since we got our first patient…" Her voice shaking but still got her sentence out. Phoebe rubbed her shoulder as the three sat together, Catherine and Phoebe's scrubs stained in massive amounts of blood. Reese's white coat was stained with blood as well.

Reese slowly broke down in tears, Phoebe soon leaned her head against Reese. Catherine leaned against Phoebe's shoulder, the three letting several tears run down.

Teddy overheard what Reese said and slowly came over. Patted Catherine on the shoulder, she exhaled through her nose. "You girls are the best doctors I'd ever work with… You all did an amazing job today… I'm proud of you all… As for Dr. Johnson…" Teddy exhaled. "I'm glad he saved the suspect… You all know my reason why. Even you too, Reese…"

Reese, Phoebe, and Catherine nodded in agreement slowly. Patting Phoebe's knee, Teddy soon walked away to the elevator hallways.

Pressing a button to call the elevator down, Teddy looked to her left, seeing many gurneys stained with blood and all messed up. To her left, more messed up and blood-stained gurneys along with a ventilator sitting in the halls, including IV stands. The elevator doors opened, and Teddy stepped inside.

Looking ahead, seeing all the nurses and doctors working together to clean up the mess and rearranging gurneys to their spots, Teddy took one last deep breath and exhaled. A small and warm smile grew on her face, satisfied with the number of lives saved, and with the work all the hospital and her staff did. She gave a satisfied nod as she smiled while the elevator doors closed with everything fading out…

So that ends another crazy yet entertaining chapter. So, what is next? All I can say is that we'll be back at Med after two chapters, that's all I'll say, but what will be the reason? Tune back in if you want to find out... Anyways, I thank so much for reading this chapter and I'll be seeing you in the next chapter!
