Before Me The Revolution! 4 - (Code Geass, Bonaparte!SI)
It was a surprise that Clovis had been given permission to broadcast a propagandized video where Britannia declared official war on the newly-created United States of Africa. Even more when the editing was so cheap that it made some good heads throb and ache in shame at the shabby job.
Then again, not many were as keen to dislike half-baked works like she was.
Ashford Academy was the high education institution that was prized in the entire Area 11 to provide some of the brightest minds of the Britannian Nobility within Asia. And yet 'Lucia Lamperouge' was not exactly a 'noble lady'. In fact, she was by all means a 'middle class' student. Not a Britannian, but also deemed above the 'Elevens'.
That didn't mean she was a fool, or that she lacked some reasons to be so involved into politics. Lucia was a 'gifted mind' in a world of inequality. This much she knew, but when Clovis foolishly allowed for the speech from this 'Big Boss' to Europia to be broadcasted only to be 'successfully countered by Britannian superior arguments', the girl felt somewhat intrigued by the ideology that was mentioned in the speech as she found herself agreeing to its general points.
And while she thought that such material would be outright banned and thus unable to be found with ease, Lucia was pleased when pamphlets started to spread around. The Britannian troops were hunting down the source of those dangerous leaflets, but no one was able to find out where those came from.
Instead, some students had started to read from those. Mostly Elevens, but Lucia was also able to get one of those around by 'asking the right people'. So, here she was, in her room and with the pamphlet hers to properly study. Truth be told, the notion was quite 'Europian' in its context, but the implementation was innovative and it left her surprised by how much thought was put behind the 'New Democracy Idea'.
The creation of a government built on 'both novel and traditional culture, taking care to harmonize both the characteristics of a country within the concept of universal representation', while also espousing a concept of private-corporate economic implementation.
The sheer amount of info ranging from civilian to military expectations made her even more pleased by how exhaustive the piece was and-
"What are you reading?"
And she forgot she had a new roommate. One that Lucia wasn't sure how to truly label as.
C.C. was mysterious, unique and gave her the powerful Geass but... She was a slouch and a lazy woman. She also seemed to have no basic understanding of hygiene as Lucia had to personally time when it was her turn to the bathroom and coerce there to bathe.
It was disgusting enough she didn't want her Straitjacket cleaned up properly, the fact she kept on switching out of the clothes Lucia gave her to return to the bodysuit only made Lucia more concerned this was indeed a mad witch.
"Stuff."
"Hm? What about?" The green-haired girl asked, peeking over Lucia's shoulder. "Hot men?"
Lucia turned to glance at her with a shocked look and a bit of a blush spreading by her cheeks. The guess was tied to the smiling figure of this 'Big Boss' that was printed right in the middle spot of the pamphlet. He was a handsome man, not something that Lucia would ever admit publicly, but the way C.C. just dropped this felt so- so brazen!
"He-He is a military leader."
"Oh, hot military men then?"
Lucia growled. "R-Really?"
"Nope. But I like it when you're a bit more open with your feelings," C.C. argued flatly, retrieving another slice of pizza. "So?"
Sighing, Lucia provided an explanation of what she was reading, with C.C. nodding along her words and-
"Neat."
...
"That's- That's all you have to say?"
"He is a hot man with neat idea."
Lucia snarled. "Stop calling him hot! He is, but-"
"Nice butt."
Lucia went mute as she glared viciously at the smug-looking pizza-loving slouch of a roommate she was stuck with. While the contract was convenient, she sure was making Lucia's life difficult.
"Still, he has good ideas and... he may be an ally of ours. For our plans."
C.C. nodded at this and didn't make any embarrassing comments this time around.
"But we need to know how to approach this group, these 'Diamond Dogs'. They definitely have groups here in Area 11 but... how?"
The pamphlet didn't offer any clue about it. If they did, then Britannia would have busted their operations already. Thus, maybe there were other leaflets to wait for, more clues to find and-
"What about that small upside-down Japanese sentence in that corner?" C.C. inquired, aiming a finger at the specific corner of the pamphlet.
Lucia's violet eyes locked on the sentence, turning the paper upside-down and revealing... an address written in Japanese. Her jaw hit the floor at the simplicity of the cipher, but... she was more stunned by the fact no Britannian agency had found out about this.
A-Actually, how many of those were accustomed to Japanese to the point of thinking that this is written upside down and not just silly gibberish?
"That's- that's the address," Lucia mumbled quietly, with C.C. nodding as she got off from her perch and marched to the... bathroom? "W-Where are you going?"
"Well, I need to pee-"
"And bathe."
"...Pee."
"And also bathe!" Lucia growled, caused the green-haired girl to roll her eyes at her.
"Fine."
Sighing tiredly, and putting the thoughts of wondering how she ended up stuck with a young woman that behaved worst than Nunnally for later, Lucia put her main focus on the address itself. She knew where that place was and it was actually near to Ashford Academy so...
She really wondered if that was the right place or a trap. It wouldn't hurt giving it a try, after all the Britannian Occupation Force didn't seem to be too attentive to this sort of situations, so it made sense they may be unprepared for that sort of 'simplistic planning'.
There was one way to be sure of it and... she will have to wait for C.C. to be done bathing- there was no way in hell she was going to let that lazy woman dodge her hygienic duties for this reason...
