Chapter Seventy-One

Losing Control

Back at the base, Bumblebee paced up and down the main silo trying make sense of what was going on with him, as well as try and feel in control of his body, yet so far, he felt like something, or rather someone was trying to control him.

He looked at his hands, then over at the others within the base.

Ratchet was at the screens working along with Donatello.

Michelangelo, Pandora and Kemeko were watching a film on the TV.

Ironhide was doing another energon find with Arcee and Bulkhead and Raphael and Monalisa were with them, and Splinter was in the armchair reading and sipping some tea as well as waiting for his granddaughters and youngest son to finish their film so he could watch his soaps.

The Scout kept pacing and trying to think clealy, yet something made him stop for a moment, he felt his legs start to lead him to Ratchet's workstation where there was a piece of equipment standing there.

Bumblebee identified it as an energon infuser, one of Ratchet's medical devices that forced fresh energon into a damaged cybetronion's system if needed.

His feet took him closer to it, and he felt his arm reach out for it.

At first Bumblebee tried to resist, but again as if something was pulling his hand to it almost like that of a magnet, he felt a presence within him.

"Yes...Go on Scout!" he heard Megatron's voice in his head "Obey my Will!"

"Megatron?" Bumblebee thought "No... No..."

Yet as he was fighting the control, his fist squeezed the infuser, and it was crushed like an empty can of soda!

"Bumblebee!"

Ratchet's shocked voice broke into his thoughts, and he looked over to the medic.

"I needed that!" he pointed at the object in Bumblebee's clenched servo.

The scout stared at Ratchet, then at the crushed object in his servos, yet he couldn't remember even breaking it.

He bleeped in confusion.

"What has gotten into you?!" Ratchet asked in a shocked voice.

Bumblebee looked at the medic, then bleeped and whirred what he was feeling and seeing to which Ratchet's optics widened.

"You're seeing Megatron's face?" he asked in concern.

"Say what?"

"Ratchet?"

The Medic and Scout looked over to see Michelangelo, Donatello, Splinter and the two girls walking over to the side of the raised platform.

"Did you say Megatron?" Pandora asked.

"Bee's seeing things?" Kemeko questioned.

"How?" Michelangelo chimed in.

Ratchet narrowed his optics and beckoned Bumblebee to his medical area and the Scout went over to a standing berth where Ratchet started to examine him whilst the others looked on in worry.

"Donatello." He said, "Get in touch with Optimus, and the others too."

Donatello nodded and he instantly got out his Shell-Cell to call Leonardo as he knew his older brother would be with him.

Meanwhile the two girls looked at each other in fear as they watched Ratchet scanned Bumblebee's optics.

Michelangelo stood behind them and placed his hands on their shoulders.

"Don't worry girls." He said confidently "I'm sure Ratchet will figure out what's going on with Bee."

Kemeko sighed.

"I hope so." She said chewing her lip.

"Ditto." Pandora agreed.

Before long Optimus and Leonardo arrived back at the base after Donatello had meesaged them, and Ironhide, Arcee, Raphael and Monalisa arrived not long after with some more energon which pleased Ratchet.

After they had stored the Energon, and everyone was gathered in the main silo, Ratchet filed them in on what was happening with Bumblebee.

The Autobots were shocked, as were the rest of the Hamato Clan and Leonardo started to remember how many years ago he had suffered the same thing when he had been plagued by dreams of Mashimi after he had been upset that Monalisa had choosen Raphael over him when she had chosen his younger brother as her mate.

Optimus had seen how uncomfortable the turtle looked yet decided to ask him about it later as there were more pressing issues to discuss.

After checking the scout over, the Medic had decided to put him in an induced power down.

The girls were concerned yet Donatello had reassured them that this was just like putting someone in an induced coma to help them heal.

"Bumblebee's complaining of intermittent visions." Ratchet said, "Waking Nightmares if you will."

"But you said Bumblebee was fine when you checked him over?" Pandora said.

"Yeah!" Kemeko agreed "What's wrong with him?"

"Physically yes girls, Bumblebee is fine." Donatello said.

"But the experience he endured seems to be having a temporary on his psyche." Ratchet followed up "This induced power down should force Bumblebee's mind to rest and recover."

"Man, I hope so." Pandora said wrapping an arm around Kemeko in comfort.

Just then a bleeping was heard from the computers, and everyone turned to look.

Ratchet hit the receive button and Agent Fowler was seen.

"Prime." He spoke "You spotted any Decepticons wearing Hula Skirts lately?" he asked.

"Hula Skirts?" Raphael asked scratching his head.

"Must have been an incident in Hawaii." Monalisa mused.

"What's there that the cons would be interested in?" Michelangelo asked but the others shushed him so they could listen.

"No Agent Fowler." Optimus spoke with a slight drawl in his voice "Why?"

"Because I was hoping you had a lead on the cons that busted into the Kauai Naval Observatory." Fowler explained "The Place looked like it was hit by an army of Wrecking Balls!"

Hearing that Pandora couldn't help but hum the tune to 'Wrecking Ball' by Miley Cyrus which made Kemeko roll her eyes and Michelangelo chuckle.

"Why would Cons break into an observatory?" Arcee questioned.

"Does the Heuck Nigogohossian telescope ring any bells?" Fowler asked.

"The Space Telescope!" Donatello cried as he realised.

"Quite right son!" Agent Fowler called over "As of last night, missing it's primary lens."

Optimus narrowed his eyes.

"it's difficult to guess Starscream's intent without knowing where the lens has been taken." He replied.

"Good thing the lens has a tracking device." Fowler informed.

"That's a good start!" Donatello cried.

Ratchet took the details of the device and logged its details into the computer, and everyone watched as the world map came up and the location was brought up.

"Looks like it's at the North Pole!" Pandora pointed out.

"The Arctic?" Arcee exclaimed "Great(!) Another chance to freeze our Spark plugs off."

"I still got ice burns on my aft from our last visit!" Ironhide groaned as he rubbed his backside "As well as frost damage to my circuits!"

Ratchet zoomed into the area and some blue and purple lights appeared on the location to which Bulkhead whistled.

"That's an ND7 Class!" he informed "Biggest un-minable deposit there is!"

"Un-Minable." Optimus said "Until Starscream melts his way down to it."

"With the help of a lens." Arcee snorted.

A few gasps were heard from the Hamato Clan.

"Melts?" Leonardo asked.

"That's not good guys!" Donatello exclaimed.

"Melting a Glacier that size would cause sea levels to rise and demolish coastal cities!" Fowler informed.

"Meep!" Michelangelo whimpered "And I thought we had enough troubles with Global Warming."

"This is indeed most troubling." Splinter breathed.

"And Coastal cities include Sydney, Venice, Copenhagen, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Chicago and New York!" Donatello cried.

"No way!" Raphael cried "Our home and Mutopia are at risk!"

"We got to stop them, and fast!" Ironhide announced.

Optimus frowned and nodded.

"And we must." he looked at Bulkhead, Arcee and Ironhide, "Autobots, prepare to roll out!"

"What about Bee?" Bulkhead asked.

"Bumblebee must stay, and rest given his condition." Ratchet said, "I will keep an eye on him."

"Us too." Kemeko volunteered.

"Thank you, girls." Optimus said then looked at the rest of the Hamato Clan.

"The rest of you, remain here, we will deal with Starscream."

"Good luck guys!" Leonardo said.

"Stay safe."

"Let's hope there's no issues bringing you back?" Michelangelo quipped to which Raphael elbowed him.

"Don't say that." Ironhide said in a worried voice.

"We'll be back soon." Bulkhead chimed in.

"Stay out of trouble!" Arcee quipped to Raphael and Monalisa who smiled as they walked to the Ground Bridge and transformed before driving through it.

Meanwhile at the location that Ratchet had pinpointed where Starscream had taken the lens, the Seeker stood on the Decepticon Warship and looked down at the glacier below where the un-minable energon was and he smirked.

Once he had used the lens to melt the ice, he could gather as much energon as he could and once again be one step ahead of the Autobots, something Megatron could not achieve in his life, at least that's what he hoped.

"Let the Reign of Lord Starscream begin!" he smirked dangerously as the Vehicons adjusted the stolen lens and adjusting it to the sun, a direct ray of light fired from it and started to burn down into the ice below!

Starscream and Knockout watched as the ice started to melt and the seeker couldn't help but vison the energon that lay below it and how it would keep them stocked up for a while.

"If only you could see, Megatron." He chuckled to himself "If you weren't in that deep slumber, you could see what great ideas I have that can make a plan come together!"

Bumblebee's feeling Megatron's mind starting to control him...

Also, Starscream's got another plan involving using a stolen lens to locate unminable energon in the North Pole!
