Chapter Eighty

Endless Running

Back at the base, the Autobots and the Knights told Arcee and the Hamato Clan what had happened and the fact the Geckolings, Pandora and Kemeko were lost.

"Lost!?" Raphael exclaimed.

"Lost where?" Leonardo demanded.

In fact all the Hamato Clan began talking at once asking where the children were until Optimus waved a servo.

"Calm down, please." He said trying to resume calm "Our priority is making sure they are found."

"Well, what are you going to do about it?" Raphael barked angrily and pointing up at the Prime.

"Raphael!" Splinter said sternly placing a paw on his arm.

"Calm down Raph!" Tyroth said glaring at the hot-headed turtle.

"How can you be so calm!?" Raphael turned on the dragon "Your kids are lost too! As is Kemeko!"

Tyroth glared and grabbed Raphael by the plastron and lifted him up with his strength surprising the Autobots and making the Knights, the Hamato Clan, James and Dahlia step back.

"I'm not calm! If anything, I'm ready to unleash hell if the children aren't located!" he growled, his eyes flashing and his skin glowing slightly from his mana given his worry and stress over the welfare of his children and two nieces.

"Tyroth! Please!" Old George stepped over to try and difuse the situation despite his own worry for the younger children "This is not helping!"

Optimus turned to Ratchet.

"Ratchet," he said, "if the children were misdirected to an unintended location, is there any way to get a fix on their co-ordinates?"

"But Pandora would have called!" Monalisa said "She always does if she's lost especially when we're scouting in New York or Chicago!"

"Kemeko would have done as well!"

"Hey! Why don't we call them?" Michelangelo asked.

"Genius Mike!" Donatello cried and the orange masked turtle took out his shell-cell to call Pandora.

At the same time Sonia did the same to Freya, Leonardo to Kemeko and Tyroth to Loki.

Back in the Shadow Zone, the Geckolings, Pandora and Kemeko were hiding behind a mound of boulders trying to catch their breath.

They were thankful that the Zombie Skyquake wasn't fast at moving, but they were still at a loss of what to do.

As they were pondering, they each felt a vibration in their pockets as well as a different ringtone.

"Hang on." Loki said "Is that our..."

"Phones!" they cried at the same time, and they quickly picked them up.

"Hello? Dad?" Loki cried yet all he heard on the other side was static.

The girls heard the same when they answered their phones.

"Nothing but static!" Kemeko cried.

"It was the same with us!" Pandora agreed and Freya nodded.

"Well what do you know?" Freya exclaimed "the fourth dimension has lousy cell phone reception."

"No wait guys!" Kemeko said "The phone rang! We're getting a signal!"

Loki thought for a moment.

"Maybe the Autobots and the others can't see or hear us because we're moving at hyper speed or something?" he suggested.

"Do you think they can read us?" Pandora asked.

"Texting!" Loki cried out.

"Loki! You're a genius!" Pandora exclaimed hugging the Geckoling "I'll text everyone back at the base then maybe they can get a lock on our co-ordinates!"

Just as the hybrid started to text, Freya looked over her shoulder to see the Zombie Skyquake approaching their hiding place.

"Oh, Nine Hells!" she cried "Can you type and run?"

Pandora squeaked in fear then glowered.

"I'll do my best!" she said, "Follow my lead guys!"

"Pandora?" Kemeko asked in fear then saw the hybrid sprint towards Skyquake and run between his legs!

At once the Geckolings and Kemeko ran over her as Skyquake swiped his arm down at them, but he missed them and with a roar he stood up again and turned around to see the kids run away from him.

Back at the base, the worried Chicago Knights, Hamato Clan and the Autobots listened as Michelangelo, Sonia, Tyroth and Leonardo cried to call the missing kids.

"Pandora? Can you hear me?" Michelangelo asked on his side.

"Nothing!" he reported.

"Same here!" Tyroth said "All I heard was static."

"Likewise!" Sonia and Leonardo said in unison.

Sephie and Monalisa held each other in worry over their children.

"My baby..." Monalisa whimpered to which Raphael squeezed her shoulders and glared up at Ratchet who was still looking at the screens with the other Autobots watching him.

"We're dealing with fluctuating energy profiles inside a wide distortion field." He said, "But it may be possible to backtrace their co-ordinates."

"You think you can do that?" Donatello asked desperately as he looked at the screens then back at his brothers and adopted sister as well as Tyroth and Sephie.

"I know I can!" Ratchet said in a low voice as he narrowed his eyes.

He was determined to find the girls even if it took hours, or even days to find them.

Meanwhile back in the Shadow-Zone, Loki and Freya were flying with Pandora and Kemeko in their hands as they kept their distance from the Zombie Skyquake.

Pandora was typing her text to Michelangelo and her parents and Kemeko was doing the same to Leonardo and Donatello.

As the Geckolings flew ahead, Freya then noticed something.

"Déjà vu!" she cried.

"What sis?" Loki asked looking at her.

"This doesn't look familiar to you?" Freya asked.

"Not really!" Loki retorted then looked at Kemeko and Pandora "Have you sent that text yet?"

"Almost got it!" Pandora said as she typed in the last couple of words "Got it!" she said triumphantly as she hit send.

"Guys!" Freya said as she looked at the area around them "We just ran or flew one big circle!"

"Hey! Guys look!" Kemeko suddenly shouted "Look down there!"

The twins stopped flying and they looked to where Kemeko was pointing, and it was then they saw a large skinny grey robotic arm with a missile attached to it.

"What's that?" Freya asked as she and her brother lowered Kemeko and Pandora to the ground.

"It's Starscream's arm!" Pandora exclaimed running over and to her delight, she found she could touch it "Remember Optimus shot it off?"

"Of course!" Loki cried then looked at it then behind him at Skyquake.

"It must have gotten trapped in here during the explosion too! Just like us!"

"Well, it's solid, we can use it!" Kemeko suggested.

Meanwhile on the Nemesis, Starscream had returned to the medical Bay and Knockout was examining him.

After he had returned, he demanded Knockout to look him over, yet he refused to speak about what had actually happened, he wasn't sure if he could cope with more humiliation with a plan not working.

"Ah Starscream." Knockout said in a confused tone "I don't quite understand how this could have happened."

"And yet! It did!" Starscream snapped "Can you imagine my horror, there I am minding my own business, when my arm just falls off! Clearly Megatron inflicted more damage upon me than you realise! Doctor." he added at the end with a snarl.

Knockout shrank back a little.

"Well uhh." He said in a sheepish tone "On the bright side, this provides an excellent opportunity for an upgrade." He suggested gesturing to the screen next to the medical berth.

He walked over to it and typed into the keyboard.

"Well let's see." He mused "You could go with a Sonic cannon, uh it's reliable low maintenance, although it lacks a certain flare, personally I prefer the null ray, it has just the right mis of flash and firepower..."

He didn't finish his sentence as Starscream sat up looking furious.
"I don't want a new model!" he shouted, "I just want the same arm I had before!"

"But Starscream, your equipment is a bit ummm," he paused "obsolete, I'm not sure I have another one lying around."

He paused again.

"Of course we could try to salvage yours?" he suggested "You kept it didn't you?" he asked cocking his head at Starscream who looked away from him as he tried to think of a reason why he didn't have it with him.

"It was...beyond recovery." He replied.

Meanwhile in the Autobot base, everyone was watching Ratchet at work trying to back trace the co-ordinates when Michelangelo, Raphael and Monalisa felt their phones buzz on their belts making them jump.

Michelangelo grabbed his phone and opened it then saw it was Pandora who had sent a text.

"Hey guys!" he cried "Pandora just sent a message!"

"She did!?" Everyone shouted.

"We got a message too!" Monalisa chimed in holding up her phone.

"What does it say?" Tyroth asked.

"In alternate dimension with Zombie! Help!" Michelangelo reported.

"I got the same!" Raphael said holding up his phone.

"That doesn't sound possible." Arcee said yet Optimus narrowed his optics.

"Ratchet, can we triangulate the geographical position of the cell phone signal?"

"In a parallel dimensional plane?" the Medic exclaimed as he thought hard then he caught sight of the Hamato Clan and the Chicago Knights looking up at him with hope in their eyes.

"Let's find out!" he said.

Back in the Shadow Zone, the kids managed to move the arm, so the clawed hand was facing where Skyquake was about to come towards.

"So what's the plan?" Kemeko asked as she studied the arm.

Freya and Loki looked at each other and they exchanged the same determined look.

"You thinking what I'm thinking?" Loki asked his sister.

"I think so!" Freya said as a smirk curled on her face.

"Guys?" Pandora asked.

Loki turned to the hybrid.

"Pandora, if you and Kem can figure out how to fire the missile from the severed arm, Freya and I are gonna go all fire cannon ball on that zombie!"

"You what?" Kemeko asked.

"It's worth a try!" Freya said, "We got dad's magic and firepower and even though we might not be at his level yet, we got a chance!"

"You sure?" Pandora asked worried.

"What choice do we have?" Loki demanded "We either try this way, or we keep on running!"

Pandora glared but she agreed.

"How do we fore this thing anyway?" Kemeko asked "I don't see a trigger!"

"Starscream did something with his fingers!" Pandora said, "I think they might be the trigger!"

As she spoke, Skyquake started to appear around the corner still growling and groaned.

"Here he comes!" Freya said then looked at Loki "You ready brother?" she asked.

"Ready!" Loki nodded.

Freya then turned to Pandora and Kemeko.

"Aim for the chest!" she said, "We'll go for the head, fire at our command!"

"Gotcha!" Pandora nodded "Just be careful alright?"

"We will!" Loki promised then turned to the zombie Skyquake and grasped his sister's hand.

"Okay sis! Lets go for it!" he said.

Freya nodded and they flew up into the air and towards Skyquake who saw them and roared in surprise lifting his head and raising his arms to strike at them.

"NOW!"

Pandora and Kemeko instantly sprang into action and Kemeko yanked on the fingers of the severed arm.

As she did, the missile was fired, and it shot straight towards Skyquake!

At the same time, Freya and Loki yelled and charged towards the Zombie-Con, their bodies lighting on fire.

Pandora and Kemeko watched as both the missile, and the twins struck Skyquake and an explosion was heard as they collided then a cloud of dust rose from the ground.

"Loki! Freya!" Pandora shouted.

"What happened?" Kemeko asked in worry as they both ran towards the chaos.

As they did, they saw Freya and Loki appear through the dusty fog standing on top of Skyquake's chest looking rather triumphant!

"Oh yeah! We did it!" Freya cheered high fiving her brother then turned to Pandora and Kemeko.

"Did we get him?" Kemeko asked.

"I think so!" Loki grinned looking down at the fallen Skyquake yet his joy didn't last as the zombie-con opened his eyes and looked up at the Geckoling boy.

"Oh shit!" he muttered then grabbed Freya's wrist before pulling her off "Cheese it!"

He flew over Pandora and Kemeko's head and the two girls saw Skyquake sit up again and they too realised that the attack hadn't gone the way they hoped.

"Oh come on!" Pandora shouted exasperated before Kemeko grabbed her.

"Pandora! Come on! We gotta run!" she shouted then she screamed as she saw a severed hand appear from the dust and start to chase after them like a spider!

"Oh fucking Shell!" Pandora shouted as she ran with Kemeko, "The hands alive!"

"Less chatter more running!" Kemeko snapped as she continued to drag Pandora along with her.

"I do hope the guys got our text!" Pandora said.

The Geckolings, Pandora and Kemeko are being pursued by Zombie Skyquake, yet they have tried to fight and not just run! Gotta give them credit to being brave!
