Chapter 9: Wild Night Out

We find ourselves at Jaden's house, as Jaden was at the table eating breakfast when the doorbell rang.
"Who could that be this early?" Maya said going to it to see a delivery man.
"Jaden Cooper?" The man asks.
"That's my son. I can sign for that." Maya said signing it.
As she was handed the box, she saw it had Wayne Industries on the box making her giggle.
"Who was it?" Jaden asks.
"Just the delivery man. Apparently, your boss thought you might need something." Maya said showing it to him.
Slowly opening the box, Jaden looks inside to see a red and black PDA device.
"Ooh very professional. A company PDA. You better hold onto that in case Mr. Wayne needs you to take notes." Maya smiles.
"Don't worry I will." Jaden said putting it into his pocket.
"So the big dance is in a few days. Still enough time to find someone." Maya hints making him almost choke on his breakfast.
Swallowing it, Jaden sipped his milk and took a deep breath.
"Mom we've been over this. I'm skipping the dance. Why is it so important that I go?" Jaden asks.
"You work too hard Jaden. You deserve to have a fun night out." Maya said.
"I'll think about it, right now I got school." Jaden said grabbing his bag.
It's not that Jaden wouldn't mind asking someone but he didn't really know who. He only knew a handful of girls who would hang around him.
Gwen was his best friend and Science Buddy but would it be weird if he asked her?
Liz just hung out with him because he was her tutor. Plus Flash is going to the dance with her.
Finally, there was MJ. She was an interesting girl and she definitely was fun to be around. Plus Maya was very eager to set him up.
An hour later, at Midtown High Jaden and Gwen made their way to class to see Harry waiting for them.
"Guys you are never gonna believe what happened." Harry said.
"What's up Harry? How's the new Quarterback doing?" Jaden asks.
"Hope you don't think you're too good to hang out with the likes of us now." Gwen smirks.
"No way. You guys are my best buds. And I wanted you both to be the first to know. I got a date to the dance." Harry declares.
"For real?" Jaden asks.
"Harry that's great. Who is it?" Gwen asks.
"Glory Grant." Harry smiles.
"Whoa Harry way to go man." Jaden smiles happy for his friend.
"She's a lucky girl." Gwen said.
"Thanks guys." Harry said as the teacher walked in.
"Attention class, we have a new student joining our class today. So I want all of you to give her a warm welcome." He said.
"Ooh a new girl? Wonder if she's cute?" Flash asks.
As the door opens we see Megan walking in.
"Everyone meet Megan Morse." He said.
"Uh hi there." Megan waves.
"Whoa she's kinda cute." Harry said.
"Harry you've already got a date." Gwen said while Jaden narrows his eyes.
'Have I seen her before?' Jaden thought.
"Megan why don't you find a seat and we can get started?" The teacher suggests.
Nodding Megan walks over and as she scans around the room she spots Jaden and his friends and smiles.
"Hey is this seat taken?" Megan asks.
"By all means." Harry said as she sat down.
"Nice to meet you guys." She said.
"A pleasure. I'm Gwen and these are my friends Jaden and Harry." Gwen introduced.
"Well Gwen think you guys can show me around after class?" Megan asks.
"Sure." Gwen nods.
Behind them Flash couldn't help but snicker.
"Looks like the new girl already threw away her social life." Flash said.
"Yeah anyone who hangs with the nerds is an automatic dork." Sally agrees.
"So Megan where you from?" Harry asks.
"Oh from somewhere pretty far." Megan brushes off.
"Well welcome to Midtown. Hope you like it here." Jaden said holding out a hand.
"I think I will." Megan smiles happily shaking it.
'Weird, she looks familiar have I met her somewhere before?' Jaden thought.
'Yes you have Jaden.' Megan's voice rang in his head making his eyes widen.
Looking at him, Megan winks at Jaden leaving him speechless.
Behind them, Liz narrowed her eyes curious about the new girl.
Later that day a prison truck was heading towards Gotham and inside it was Electro.
Growling he was tied up in a special kind of cuffs that prevented him from escaping.
"Just sit tight sparkplug. Once GothCorp gets their hands on you, you'll be good as new." The driver said.
"Oh great, more surprises." Electro growls.
"Come on man, lighten up." The driver snickers. "Get it?"
However, Electro was not amused.
"You think this is funny? That my life is a joke?" Electro growls as he began to light up the back.
Little did they know, in a prison van just a little down we see they were escorting another villain.
Looking ahead the driver saw they were nearing Gotham.
"Hey don't look so down missy. You should be happy. If GothCorp Labs can undo your condition you could be normal by tomorrow. If you ever were normal." He said.
In the back was a woman with blue hair, pale skin, and dark clothing. This was Livewire.
"Yeah love you too Jerk Face." Livewire glares.
As the two vans drove next to each other Livewire felt a tingle.
"Hello." She grins peeking out the window to see some electricity emitting from inside. "Hmm what do we have here?"
Inside the other van, Electro suddenly felt some of his electricity shooting out the window.
"What in the?" He said confused.
The second his electricity went to her, Livewire felt supercharged.
"Oh yeah baby!" She grins turning into electricity.
Gasping the driver sees her appear next to him.
"And the hits just keep on coming." Livewire said punching him in the face causing the van to swerve and hit Electro's van making them crash.
"Ugh dammit." Pulling himself from the wreckage, Electro walks out much to Livewire's delight.
"Well hello handsome." Looking up Electro sees Livewire looking down at him from atop a street light. "Gotta say your electricity packed quite a punch."
"Who the hell are you?" Electro glares.
"Name's Livewire and thanks to your electricity I was able to bust out so I owe ya." Livewire said floating down to him. "You got a name?"
"Had one. Now I go by Electro." He said.
"Electro. Hmm, I like the sound of that." Livewire smirks. "Well, Electro since Gotham seems to think they can poke us around like lab rats what do you say we show this dump we mean business?"
"Why not? I got a lot of anger to let out." Electro said as sparks emitted from him.
"Hmm, I can tell." Livewire grins liking this.
As the two electric villains took off the city of Gotham was in for a wild night.
Back in Midtown, the bell rang to show Jaden leading Megan down the hall and into an empty room.
"Sorry guys just need to borrow Megan for a second." Jaden said closing the door.
"Dang Jaden. Making the moves on the new girl?" Harry smirks while Gwen was not amused.
"No way, Jaden would never." Gwen said.
Making sure the coast was clear, Jaden looks at her.
"M'Gann? Is that really you?" Jaden asks as Megan's skin turned green and then back to prove his point.
"Surprise." Megan smiles.
"I don't believe this, what are you doing here?" Jaden asks.
"Since my Uncle J'onn and I are gonna be living here he thought I should try fitting in and to do that. I had to go to school." Megan said.
"So why did you pick here?" Jaden asks.
"Well since this is a new experience for me I kinda hoped I could have a friend by my side for it." Megan said nervously with a soft blush.
"Wow this is nuts." Jaden said.
"Well look at this way. Now you're not the only hero at this school. Ever thought of having a partner in crime?" Megan giggles.
"Hold onto that I might need someone to help cover for me from time to time." Jaden smirks.
"So Jaden think you can help show the new girl around?" Megan asks.
"Sure, but uh quick tip I would keep the powers on the down low you don't want anyone learning your secret." Jaden said.
"Got it." Megan nods.
"I gotta admit it's kinda of weird having a teammate going to my school." Jaden said.
"Well hopefully you can overcome this." Megan smiles. "So Jaden do you and your friends still want to show the new girl around?"
"Sure." Jaden said opening the door.
"You two were in there a while." Gwen said.
"Sorry about that. I had a few tips to tell her." Jaden said.
"Ah some Midtown High survival tips. Good call man." Harry chuckles as Gwen breaths in relief.
"So Megan wanted to know if we can show her around?" Jaden asks.
"Like you even have to ask." Gwen said as they led Megan down the hall.
"So the library is down that way. The cafeteria is down that way and the sports field is down that way." Jaden points.
"You play sports Megan?" Gwen asks.
"No, but I have an open mind to this stuff. It would be fun if I could be one of those cheerleaders." Megan said.
"Well I'm on the football team so if they have an opening I can put in a good word for you." Harry offers.
"That would be great." Megan smiles.
As Jaden was about to turn a corner, Flash spotted him.
Grinning he had a ball and was ready to throw it when Megan sees this.
As the ball flew at him, Megan's eyes glowed briefly making it fly to the left banging against the lockers startling them.
"What the?" Gwen said.
"Aw man how could I miss?" Flash whines as Harry picks the ball.
"Hey Flash why don't you practice your throws." Harry calls out.
"Weird it's not like Flash to miss." Gwen said.
"Yeah especially when I'm his target." Jaden said looking at Megan and giving her a silent thank you.
"Guess everyone messes up once in a while. It helps to have people looking out for you." Megan said.
"So Megan you wanna hang out with us later? I mean unless you'd rather find a new crowd?" Jaden asks nervously.
"I kinda like you guys. If you don't mind I'd like to hang out with you from time to time." Megan asks.
"Finally a 4th member and another girl no less." Gwen smiles.
"Welcome to the group Megan." Harry said when suddenly Jaden's phone began to rang.
"Uh hang on a sec." Jaden said walking away to answer it. "Hello?"
"We got trouble heading into Gotham. Consider yourself clocked in." Batman said on the other line.
"What? Now?" Jaden said not liking this.
"It's Electro. Get there ASAP." Batman orders.
"Electro?" Jaden gasps softly. "Okay I'll be there but I might need some help navigating the place."
"Did you get the package I sent you?" He asks.
"Package?" Jaden asks confused. "Oh uh the PDA? Yeah I got it." Reaching into his pocket, Jaden pulled it out.
"It's called the Spider-Wave. It'll have the coordinates needed for business both mask on and mask off. Do not under any circumstances lose it. Do I make myself clear?" Batman asks.
"Yes sir." Jaden said.
"Good now get moving. I've told another accomplice of mine about you so you'll have some backup." He said hanging up.
Making his way back to his friends Jaden grabbed his stuff.
"Hey guys I'm sorry but my boss just called me in. I got to get to work." Jaden said.
"Oh you're new job. Good luck man." Harry said.
"You'll have to tell us everything." Gwen said.
"Well probably not everything." Jaden mumbles. "Wish me luck."
"Good luck Jaden." Gwen said as he ran off.
'Good luck Spider-Man.' Megan thought.
Meanwhile, in Gotham City, the Batmobile was racing through the streets but inside it wasn't Batman but rather a girl with long red hair in her own batman themed costume. This was Batgirl.
"The driver's recovered, and there's been no trace of Livewire or Electro since." Batgirl said.
"I'll be back in Gotham in less than 48 hours. In the meantime, be careful. I'll see about getting you some special help." Batman said on the other line.
"If I need it. They're probably on their way back home." Batgirl said when she noticed tons of electricity surging from the powerlines. "Or not."
Narrowing her eyes, she drove after them.
Atop the power lines the two villians were charging up.
"So Electro how come I haven't heard of you until now?" Livewire asks.
"I'm not in a sharing mood." Electro said.
"Ooh playing hard to get huh? I like that." Livewire said when they saw the batmobile driving towards them.
"Wait…I know that car." Electro said remembering when Batman showed up to help Spider-Man take him down.
"Just what I need another killjoy in a cape." Livewire said when Electro leaped down and slammed on top of the car. "This guy just gets better and better."
"Not so fun when it's you getting fried is it?" Electro said zapping the car making Batgirl cringe in pain.
Looking through the window, Electro to his surprise sees another bat.
"Wait, who are you?" Electro asks when Livewire drops in.
"Let me guess you're looking for Batman?" Livewire assumes. "Well heads up hot stuff she works for him. So you want some payback? Then she's a good place to start."
"Best thing I've heard all day." Electro said with an evil grin on his face.
Meanwhile in Metropolis, a teenage girl with blonde hair was in Clark's apartment. This was Kara Danvers.
"Yeah Ma, of course I would be house-sitting for Clark during the quietest weak in Metropolis. The biggest thrill has been read—I mean sorting his mail." Kara said talking on the phone but in her hand was a drawing titled Supergirl saves Metropolis.
Suddenly the phone beeped.
"Oops. That's another call. Talk to you later." She said hanging up. "Hello Dullsville Central?"
"Is Clark Kent there?" Batman said on the other line.
"No. May I ask who's calling?" Kara asks.
"A friend. It's critical he gets this message." Batman said.
"Shoot." Kara said ready to write it down.
"Livewire has escaped to Gotham. If he wants to get on top of the story he needs to get there right away. Do you understand?" Batman asks.
"Who's this? Sounds like a cape to me." Kara said as he hung up.
"Finally my chance." Kara said scribbling out Metropolis and replacing it with Gotham.
Flying out of the building Kara was wearing a white outfit with superman's logo, a red cat and a blue skirt.
Back in Gotham, Batgirl was under heavy fire by Livewire and Electro.
Clicking a button, the roof of the Batmobile opened and she launched herself out using the hood as a set of wings.
"Oh no you don't!" Electro flew after her and was on the attack.
Firing his attacks Electro hits one of the wings making her fall.
As Batgirl plummeted to the ground, someone swung in and caught her.
"Whoa that was way too close!" Looking up Batgirl saw Spider-Man was her rescue. "Sorry it took a while, but traffic was just a nightmare."
"Wait. You're that Spider-Man from New York." Batgirl recalls as he put her down.
"That's right Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man at your service. I'm guessing you're the help Batman said I would meet." He assumed.
"You would be correct." Batgirl said when Electro flew in.
"Spider-Man." He hissed.
"Oh hey Electro. Been a while." Spider-Man said in a casual tone.
"Lookie here. Guess Batgirl has her own escort for the evening." Livewire said.
"Oh man another electric villain. I don't suppose you have any rubber gloves on you?" Spider-Man asks.
"Not at the moment." Batgirl said.
"Guess we'll just have to make do." Spider-Man said as they both ran around dodging the electrical villains.
Firing webs, Spider-Man ties up Livewire.
"Ew what the heck is this stuff?" Livewire said grossed out.
Yanking her in, Spider-Man was about to deliver a counterattack when Electro zaps him making Spider-Man cringe in.
"Payback you little brat." Electro said zapping Spider-Man sending him tumbling to the ground.
"Hmm there's more to him than I thought." Livewire grins seeing something.
Taking out a Batarang Batgirl threw it at him hitting Electro in the back of the head making him cringe in pain.
"Oh that's it!" Electro turned to attack when suddenly someone flew in and nailed him in the face.
Gasping Spider-Man and Batgirl saw Supergirl join him.
"Who are you?" Spider-Man asks.
"Supergirl?" Batgirl gasps.
"That's me." She smiles.
"Aw man how come Supes never told me about you. No one tells me anything." Spider-Man crosses his arms.
"Another caped weirdo? I am so sick of heroes right now." Electro growls as Livewire helps him.
"Chill big boy I've dealt with the real Superman and let me tell you I can handle this." Livewire assures firing an electric attack zapping her out of the air. "At least Superman was smart enough to keep his distance."
Dropping down Livewire grabs Supergirl.
"Half the size, half the strength and apparently half the brain." She mocks before zapping Supergirl from close range.
"Hey Sparkplug! Hands off!" Firing a web at a light post, Spider-Man swings in and kicks Livewire in the face sending her crashing to the ground.
"Alright bug boy. Time to run you through the Bug Zapper." Livewire held up her hands but the electricity was small.
"Looks like someone forgot to charge." Spider-Man said.
"Whoops sorry but this gal needs a lunch break. Gotta go. You too handsome." Livewire said grabbing Electro and they made her escape.
"You alright?" Spider-Man asks helping Supergirl up.
"Been better." Supergirl groans.
"Man are things always this crazy?" Spider-Man asks.
"Yep. Welcome to Gotham." Batgirl said as both teens felt uneasy about this.
In a nearby alley, Electro and Livewire reappared.
"Why do you insist on dragging me everywhere with you?" Electro asks.
"Call it pleasant company. A gal like me shouldn't be roaming around without an escort." Livewire said.
"I don't have time for this." Electro said turning to leave.
"Come on Electro when was the last time you had any fun?" Livewire asks.
"Before I became this." Electro growls.
"Hmph let me guess. You just got your powers recently. Did the whole "my life is ruined" bit didn't you?" Livewire assumes.
"Like you care." Electro said.
"Listen Electro, I went through the same thing but the way I see it these powers don't ruin your life in the slightest." Livewire said.
"Yeah right. How so?" Electro asks.
"Because now you can take whatever you want. Take what the world owes you for taking your old life away. You can use this as your chance to have fun, go nuts and don't let anyone get in your way." Livewire said walking up to him. "Now doesn't that sound better than sulking about it?"
"I guess." Electro admits liking the idea.
"Let me show you the fun side of being the bad guy. But first I need to recharge." Livewire said.
"Fine." Electro said as they took off.
Soon the Gotham Police showed up to talk to the three heroes. And with them was a large muscular man. This was Detective Harvey Bullock.
"So they smoked you?" Harvey assumes.
"We put up a fight." Supergirl said.
"And lost. I never thought I would say this but where's the Bat?" Harvey asks.
"We're handling this." Batgirl said.
"We'll catch them." Spider-Man said.
"Why should I believe you? You're almost as bad as them." Harvey points.
"What are you talking about?" Supergirl asks.
"I've seen J. Jonah Jameson's reports on you. Got tired of wrecking your city so you decided to come to wreck Gotham?" Harvey mocks.
"Oh great. Does everyone watch that asshole?" Spider-Man groans.
"I got my eye on you." Harvey walks away while Supergirl stuck her tongue out at him.
"Don't let that Doughnut Dunker get to you. We'll have this whole thing sewn up before Superman and Batman get back." Batgirl assures.
"Yeah I mean it's 3 against 2. How hard can it be?" Supergirl agrees.
"We just need to focus and try and work together and we can catch them." Spider-Man said.
"Exactly." Batgirl nods as the three heroes shook hands.
Meanwhile, at a defunct zoo that was closed for the season, two of Gotham's most notorious villains were laying low there.
As some hyenas wandered around some topiaries one was about to do its business on it when a root smacks it away.
Inside a building a woman with red hair and pale skin walked over to a blonde hair woman doing some gymnastic-like stretches. These were Pamela Isley and Harley Quinzel.
"Your hyenas have been watering my plants again. One more time and they're mulch." Pamela threatens.
"Aw come on Red. Give them a break. We're all bored being cooped up in here." Harley said leaping off and going to her closet. "What do you say we get dolled up and go into town?" Harley asks pulling out a red dress.
"America's most wanted women on a shopping spree. Cute." Pamela said grabbing the dress and tossing it aside. "I've told you a thousand times. We have to keep a low profile. Unless we have some kind of edge against Batman."
Suddenly the electronics in the kitchen went haywire allowing Livewire to appear.
"Well ladies. Meet your edge." Livewire declares.
Later that night, Electro was forced to join Livewire, Harley and Poison Ivy for a night on the town.
At the mall, Harley was smashing her mallet against the door again and again but nothing was happening.
"She tries so hard." Ivy said.
"This is trying?" Electro asks.
"Come on use your powers. Think about what this accident robbed you of. This is your chance to dish out some payback." Livewire instructs.
Hearing this, Electro began to charge up.
"Out of my way." Electro shoves Harley to the side and blasts the door open. "That felt…good." Electro grins.
Hearing this Livewire couldn't help but see she was getting to him.
"Right and let me tell you it only gets better." Livewire said.
"I want to do more." Electro said.
"You got it baby." Livewire said leading them inside.
"It's pretty nice having someone do the heavy lifting." Ivy smirks while Harley brought up the rear annoyed.
"S-Stop right there." A security guard said approaching them.
"Really?" Electro raised an eyebrow.
"You gonna let one guy spoil all your fun?" Livewire whispers in his ear.
Electro was about to let him have it when Ivy steps up.
"Let me have some fun." Ivy said as she seductively approached the security guard.
"I-I'm warning you." He said pulling out his gun.
"You don't want to shoot little old us do you?" Ivy teases.
Pressing her fingers to her lips, Poison Ivy presses them against the guard's lip making him collapse from the poison.
"Alright Electro here's your first step to seeing the fun in being a villain." Livewire tuns him towards some ATMs. "See that cash machine? Blast it. You know you want to."
Charging up Electro zaps the machine making it explode releasing all the money inside.
Seeing the big grin on his face Livewire was liking this side of him.
"Felt good didn't it?" Livewire asks.
"All those years of struggling to make ends meet. Putting up with other people's garbage. I want more. I want to blow up more." Electro smiles.
"That's the spirit." Livewire said.
Using her power, Livewire zapped the cash out of another machine while Ivy put seeds in the card slots. Seconds later giant vines shot out of the machine letting out the cash.
However, Harley was relying on her hammer again trying to bust it open much to the other three villains' annoyance.
"At least she's consistent." Ivy said.
"That's one word." Electro mocks.
Tired of this, Livewire zaps Harley's machine making it shoot out cash.
"Pick up the cash and load it into the car. I'm going shopping." Livewire said grabbing some money and walking off.
"Since when did we become your gang?" Harley asks.
"Since we're the only reason you two are even out and about. You wanna go back to the zoo the door is that way." Electro counters shutting Harley up.
"Where are you going?" Harley asks.
"I got some anger to let out." Electro grins cracking his knuckles.
As Supergirl flew through the air Batgirl was riding on her shoulders while Supergirl held onto a web that Spider-Man swinging nearby.
"Wow this is incredible." Batgirl said enjoying the feeling of flying.
"It's my favorite part too." Supergirl said as Spider-Man ran across a rooftop and leaped out. "Hey you doing alright?"
"Oh yeah I'm totally fine." Spider-Man said firing a web out for Supergirl to catch and pull him up. "You know Superman did this same thing for me during that whole invasion."
"Oh yeah I remember that mess." Supergirl said.
"If you don't mind me asking how come Batman and Superman didn't ask you two to help?" Spider-Man asks.
"Who do you think was protecting Gotham while the Justice League was saving the world?" Batgirl asks.
"Yeah I had to say back and keep Smallville safe." Supergirl said.
"Shame. I bet if you two were there you would have been a great help." Spider-Man said.
"You're not a menace at all are you?" Supergirl asks.
"No. That's Jameson ripping on me. I'm just trying to help people, but I'm not exactly appreciated for trying." Spider-Man admits.
"What hero isn't at first? Harvey still hates Batman and he's been doing this for years." Batgirl said.
"Seriously. You have any idea how hard it is when everyone compares you to Superman?" Supergirl asks when she saw a flash of light. "Look."
Looking ahead they saw flashes of light coming from the mall.
"I spy with my little eyes, something that's dangerous and causing trouble." Spider-Man said.
"How are we gonna stop them?" Supergirl asks.
"Last time I beat Electro I used a rubber glove and a pool of water." Spider-Man said.
"Hmm smart. Rubber doesn't conduct electricity." Batgirl said impressed.
"Thanks don't suppose you have any on you?" Spider-Man asks.
"No but I got something else that might work." Batgirl said.
Inside the clothing store, Livewire was trying on dresses.
"Too dark." She said looking at a red dress. "Too light." She said looking at a green dress before turning to a blue dress.
"Let me guess. That one is just right?" Supergirl asks standing across from her.
"What's the matter? Didn't get enough last time?" Livewire fires electricity at her but Supergirl flies out making her destroy the dresses. "Playing hard to get huh? Fine by me." Liveiwre said flying after her.
In the electronic store, Electro was blasting all the equipment.
"Oh Max I can't get my computer to work. My TV won't turn on." Electro said mimicking the whiny tone of past customers before destroying them. "Well now you idiots can find someone else to whine at."
Spinning like a tornado Electro zaps all the electronic destroying.
"Hey take it easy Tazmanian Devil." Spider-Man jokes.
Turning around Electro saw him by the door.
"Hey Sparky you ever consider seeing a therapist?" Spider-Man asks.
"Oh I got therapy right here." Electro growls with electricity coming from his fist. "It's called payback!"
Yelping Spider-Man fires a web and swings out of the way.
"Guess you never heard the saying Payback is a bitch huh?" Spider-Man mocks.
"I am gonna enjoy shutting you up!" Electro said flying after him.
Dropping down towards the main entrance, Spider-Man and Supergirl met up.
"Well my electric is pretty pissed and following me." Spider-Man said.
"Mine too. This way." Supergirl said as ran towards the area just under the stairs.
Flying in Electro and Livewire corner them with their backs to some large mirrors.
"Nowhere to run." Livewire said.
Little did they know Batgirl was right above them with a big sphere in her hands.
Throwing it with all her might it hits both electric villians coating them in a silver-like powder.
Screaming in pain both fell to the ground unable to generate electricity.
"What the hell is this stuff?" Livewire asks.
"Silicate Dust. That stuff is completely electrically resistant." Spider-Man said as Batgirl jumps down.
"Wow you know your science Spidey. Not bad." Batgirl said impressed.
"It's my thing." Spider-Man chuckles.
"I may not be able to zap you but I can still do this!" Electro swings his arm to punch them but Batgirl punches him in the gut knocking him to the ground.
As Livewire tries to attack Spider-Man punches her in the face.
"And just like that end of story." Supergirl smiles joining them.
"Maybe the first chapter." Ivy calls out as they were about to high five.
"Ivy? Harley?" Batgirl gasps.
"Friends?" Supergirl asks.
"Not mine." Batgirl said.
"Well what do we have here? Looks like we're taking a break from birds to deal with a bug tonight." Ivy said spotting Spider-Man.
"I love squashing bugs!" Harley said as Ivy blew seeds at Supergirl covering her in them.
"What is this stuff?" She asks when the seeds grew instantly trapping her in vines.
"Supergirl!" Spider-Man runs to help her but Harley fires two giant boxing gloves nailing him and Batgirl.
As Spider-Man smashes against the wall, Batgirl lands in an open elevator.
"Yo sparky up and at em." Harley said taking out her seltzer and spraying both electric villains making them scream in pain as it washed away the dust.
"What the hell Clown?!" Electro snaps standing up.
"Are you out of your mind?!" Livewire snaps.
"Yep." Harley said with a smile.
"When in the history of anything has water and electricity ever mixed?!" Electro said wanting to zap her but he was too weak from the dust.
"Just get us out of here." Livewire cringed weakly.
Picking them up Harley carries both of them away.
As Spider-Man slowly gets up Supergirl breaks out of her vines leaving Poison Ivy to face the two heroes.
"Fire 2." Turning towards Batgirl, Poison Ivy threw seeds at her but Supergirl zapped them with her heat vision making a big cloud of pollen appear around Batgirl.
As Poison Ivy tried to make her escape Spider-Man fired multiple webs blocking her escape.
"Sorry plant lady but it's time to shut down the garden." Spider-Man said as Supergirl flew in front of her.
"Predictable Supergirl. You just released the most virulent allergenic pollen in the floral kingdom. The reaction is quite deadly as your playmate is finding out." Ivy smirks.
Gasping they turned to see Batgirl coughing loudly as the elevator closes trapping her inside with the virus.
"Batgirl!" Spider-Man gasps as they ran to the door.
Using her strength Supergirl pries the doors open allowing Spider-Man to pull her out.
"What do we do?" Supergirl asks.
"Well if the pollen is in her system we need to get tons of oxygen and cleanse her lungs. Like with allergies." Spider-Man said.
"Hold on tight!" Supergirl said as the three of them flew out of the building.
Seconds later, Harley pulled up in their car with Electro and Livewire in the back.
"Hey Red, hop in." Harley said.
"What happened to them?" Ivy asks getting in.
"They shopped til they dropped." Harley jokes as they drove away.
Meanwhile at Batgirls's apartment, Spider-Man brought her over to an oxygen tank to help her.
"Take it easy. Deep breaths." Spider-Man said.
"Thanks for the save back there." She said feeling better.
"It's what I do. If I'm working for the bat I might as well get familiar with his team right Batgirl?" Spider-Man said rubbing the back of his head.
"Barbara." She smiles. "You can call me Barbara when the mask is off."
"Oh uh okay." Spider-Man said.
"So you know how to work all this stuff?" Supergirl asks looking around at all the tech.
"It's my job. I'm a systems and data analyst at Police Headquarters. Aside from paying my rent it gives me access to all police activity." Barbara said.
"Whoa talk about 2 birds with one stone." Spider-Man said as she turned on the computer to show them.
"Yeah just don't tell my dad." Barbara said.
"Your life is so cool." Supergirl said.
"What about you? What's your story Supergirl?" Barbara asks.
"Kara." She corrects. "And…I mostly live on a farm."
"Like with cows and chickens and stuff?" Barbara asks.
"E-I-E-I-O." Spider-Man said making them both giggle.
"Ugh that song comes into my head like every day I'm there." Kara admits making them laugh.
"That sounds perfect. Fresh air. Early to bed early to rise. None of this constant night work. No big city congestion. You are so lucky." Barbara said.
"I got a lot of chores." Kara adds.
"Chores? I've always wanted to have chores." Barbara said.
"Man. I'm lame compared to you girls." Spider-Man said.
"So what's your story Spidey?" Kara asks.
"We promise we won't tell your secret…Jaden." Barbara said making him look at her surprised. "What? You think I wasn't interested in the first hero Batman ever recruited?"
Sighing he took his mask off revealing his face.
"Hmm well he's not bad to look at." Kara giggles.
"I live in Queens not too far from here. With my mom. During the day, it's normal like anyone else's I got to school, try to hang out with friends. I even have an internship at Midtown College." Jaden said.
"Sounds like a sweet deal to me." Barbara said.
"Yeah what's lame about that?" Kara asks.
"Because problems keep coming up. Bills are always coming in, crime never stops, I feel like I'm always swinging around trying to help, but I can't seem to solve my own problems. And my friends are starting to think something is up. Between a quiet farm life and having all these resources available you two are amazing." Jaden said.
Hearing this the two of them couldn't help but laugh.
"I guess the old saying is true." Kara said.
"The grass is always greener on the other side." Barbara said walking up to him. "As for you, don't think you have to shoulder everything yourself. Make time to have fun, enjoy life."
"You sound like my mom." Jaden smiles.
"All the more reason you should take the advice then." She teases.
"Thanks girls." Jaden said.
"Anytime." Kara said.
"Hey uh out of curiosity would either of you be interested in going to a dance?" Jaden hesitates.
"Whoa coming out a little strong eh Spidey?" Kara teases.
"Flattered but maybe we should we deal with these villains first." Batgirl said putting her mask back on.
"Sorry about that, I-I guess I got a little ahead of myself." Jaden said making both girls giggle.
"Come on. We got some badguys to catch." Batgirl said.
"But if it's any consolation you're definitely a maybe." Supergirl said making Jaden blush as he puts his mask on.
"Attention all Units. We have a situation at the Iceberg Lounge. Requesting backup." Batgirl's police scanner said.
"Sounds like we found our villains." Batgirl said as they headed out
At the Iceberg Lounge, they arrive to see the club was a complete wreck. Broke lights, giant vines everywhere, seals loose in the club and a small man with a destroyed suit and monocle on the phone. This was the Penguin.
"I need chainsaws, dump trucks, hedge clippers and a bottle of aspirin down here now." Penguin said hanging up.
"Whoa did Rico go nuts in here or what?" Spider-Man asks as he, Supergirl and Batgirl walked in.
"We're closed and besides you three aren't old enough to get in." Penguin said.
"Wanna see my ID?" Supergirl growls walking up.
"No, I want Superman, Batman or someone who can do something." Penguin mocks.
"Well like it or not. We're all you got." Spider-man said.
"So either deal with it and help us or get lost." Batgirl said.
"Oh alright. Not that I know anything mind you." Penguin said.
"Aren't you a super villain too?" Spider-Man asks.
"Cleared of all legal charges in a court of law!" Penguin replies quickly.
"Geez alright, alright. Take it easy Skipper." Spider-Man said.
"Skipper?" Penguin asks.
"Oh come on. You're telling me you've never seen the Madagascar movies? The Penguins? Skipper, Kowalski, Private and Rico? I thought you of all people would know them." Spider-Man said making the girls giggle.
"I saw those movies." Batgirl said.
"Those were some funny penguins." Supergirl admits.
"You are so annoying." Penguin groans pinching his nose. "Anyway if you must know I tried to tell Harley, Ivy and their new friends to leave and they decied to have some fun and destroy my club. I don't know where they went after but I might have heard a rumor of where that green vixen and her jaded jester are hiding out."
Hearing this the three heroes were very pleased with this information.
At their hideout at the zoo, Electro and Livewire couldn't help but not be impressed.
"This is where you live?" Livewire asks.
"What a dump." Electro said.
"Well sorry but all the 4 star hotels were booked up." Harley said sarcastically.
"You 2 aren't gonna be all mopey and rude after we've made up?" Ivy assumes.
"No but we can do without the mutts." Livewire said gesturing to Harley's hyenas. "Get lost!" Firing a blast at their feet the Hyenas ran out.
"Hey!" Harley snaps.
"She has a point Harl." Ivy admits when Electro noticed a large plant moving.
"What's up with the plant?" Electro asks.
"We've got company." Ivy realized.
Outside the zoo, Supergirl lands with Spider-Man and Batgirl at the ready.
"How much silicate do you have on you?" Spider-Man asks.
"Enough to cover a house." Batgirl said gesturing to a sprayer and canister strapped to her back. "If Livewire or Electro get within 20 feet they're neutralized. Shall we?"
"We shall." Spider-Man said as they made their way in.
Using her x-ray vision, Supergirl looked around for any sign of them.
Using it on the building Harley turns in their direction and made a funny face making her gasp.
"They know we're here!" Supergirl said as bolts of electricity zapped them.
As Batgirl starts to get up a vine grabbed her canister and pulled it away.
Looking up they saw Livewire, Electro and Poison Ivy with evil smiles on their faces.
"We're not falling for that again." Electro said.
"So much for master plans." Livewire mocks zapping the canister and destroying it.
"Spider-Man is mine." Electro said flying in.
"Oh so we're doing this? You take Super Snot. I want Batsy." Livewire said as they went on the attack.
As Spider-Man gets up, Harley tried to sneak up on him with a boxing glove launcher.
With his spider-sense reacting to it, Spider-Man jumps up and fires a web making Harley stick to the wall.
"Hey no fair!" Harley whines before Spider-Man fires a web covering her mouth.
"And people call me annoying?" Spider-Man said.
"Yes we do!" Electro yells flying in firing electric attacks at him.
Firing a web, Spider-Man swings out of the way dodging the attack.
"You're not getting away from me that easy!" Electro said flying after him.
Swinging around Spider-Man lands on the upper area.
Turning around he fires a web hitting Electro in the chest.
Smirking Electro grabs the webs and fires electricity down them zapping Spider-Man in the process making him cringe in pain.
"Yeah not so fun when the joke is on you is it Spidey?" Electro laughs.
Bringing a topiary elephant to life, Ivy attacks Supergirl pinning her under it.
"Circus time sweetie." Ivy said as the elephant wrapped its trunk around her neck and threw her into a water slide destroying part of it.
Shaking it off Supergirl sees several topiary lions charge at her.
Nearby Batgirl ran behind a rock dodging Livewire's attack.
Looking around she noticed a trashcan nearby.
Running to it, she grabs the lid and uses it like a shield.
"Getting a little too full of ourselves are we?" Livewire mocks.
"Try me." Batgirl taunts.
Livewire takes the bet and unleashes her attacks but thanks to the metal lid Batgirl was able to deflect the attacks
Throwing the topiary lions off her, Supergirl is attacked by the topiary elephant.
Using her super-strength she pushes back trying to stop it.
Up above, Electro ups the voltage as he forces Spider-Man to his knees.
"What's a matter Spidey? No jokes this time?" Electro mocks.
"The only joke here is you sparkles." Spider-Man cringed.
As Livewire fires a powerful blast of electricity it blasts the trashcan out of Batgirl's hand but unfortunately, the loose sparks hit Ivy's plant animals making them catch fire.
"My baby!" Ivy gasps.
Racing to the top of the slide, she turns on the water hoping to put them out. Little did she know Livewire had Batgirl trapped right at the bottom of it.
"It had to end sometime Bratgirl." Livewire said about to finish her off when the water came flooding down. "Oh no."
Using this opening Batgirl elbows Livewire in the chest and threw her in the way of the water making her scream in pain as the water sent sparks of electricity flying making all the topiaries erupt in flames.
Seeing this Spider-Man noticed Electro was right over the water.
"Sorry Electro lights out." Grabbing the web, Spider-Man fights through the pain and swings Electro around and around before throwing him down at Livewire.
The second he made contact with the water Electro screamed in agony as electricity flew everywhere including at Poison Ivy.
The second that bolt hit her, she fell to the ground unconscious.
Panting heavily, Spider-Man looks up to see Supergirl and Batgirl were alright.
"Well I definitely earned my hours today." Spider-Man said as they met up at the entrance.
"So you wanna stick around a little bit?" Batgirl asks.
"As much as I'd love to, I gotta get home before my mom worries." Spider-Man said.
"I get it." Batgirl said.
"We made quite a team out there today." Spider-Man said.
"Hey us rookies need to stick together." Supergirl said.
"So uh…I don't suppose either of you would be interested in that dance?" Spider-Man asks nervously making them giggle again.
"Flattered but I need some me time." Batgirl said.
"Yeah sorry Spidey maybe next time?" Supergirl said.
"There's a next time?" Spider-Man asks.
Smiling both girls gave him a peck on his cheeks and using her x ray vision Kara saw Jaden's face was as red as his mask.
"I uh well…I hope to see you two again sometime." Spider-Man said before swinging off.
After all the chaos, Kara and Barbara were hanging out at Barbara's place the two girls were hanging out in robes with towels over their heads and eating ice cream as they watched the news with Harvey covering the story.
"Livewire, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Electro. So who was responsible for the collar?" The newswoman asks.
"Just a couple of rookies." Harvey brushes off.
"Rookies?" Barbara snaps.
"You bum!" Kara snaps.
"Impressive." The woman said.
"Well…they show some potential." Harvey admits making them smile.
"Yes." They said high fiving.
"Who knows maybe someday we'll be Justice League material." Batgirl smiles.
"That would be awesome. Shame Jaden had to go back home. He would have loved to hear this." Kara said.
"Well you can always call him." Barbara points out.
"I didn't get his number." Kara said.
"No…but he did leave it for us." Barbara smirks holding up a sticky note.
"You know despite all the bad things people call him. He's just a rookie like us. Trying to be better." Kara smiles taking it.
"Not to mention he was kinda cute." Barbara giggles.
"Hmm true." Kara giggles. "We'll have to team up again sometime."
Meanwhile in New York, Jaden was in his room in his pajamas drinking a can of soda as he was watching the same news video on his computer.
"Batgirl and Supergirl…man two superhero girls. Maybe my luck is begging the change." Jaden smiles liking the idea of having backup. "Now I just need a date to the dance."
