At the throne room…

Cornelia followed the servants to a meeting with her father in hopes of changing his mind about her poor sister Euphie.

Fear ate away at her since the SAZ Massacre and her sister's bounty. She knew her sister was not a traitor, never! Though a bit naive and sheltered, she always put the needs of others to her own. That was the whole reason for SAZ and now thanks to the radicals, the country has declared her a terrorist and a traitor, no better than Zero himself. It was a heartbreaking thing to think about and no worse than the message she sent after the announcement her father sent. Euphie had chosen, or maybe she hadn't, but she declared that she would be fighting side by side with her mortal enemy, Zero.

"Everyone, my father has not only betrayed the people of Japan but our country and his own family. He claims that SAZ was a coupe and the terrorists he employed were doing their civic duty. But it was all lies! SAZ was to bring our two nations together and to help Japan, father saw this as a threat and murdered all these innocent people."

Each word tore into her soul like a fox to a baby rabbit in winter.

"They were not terrorists or radicals, criminals or objects. They were people. They were mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, family, and friends! My father and his government killed them all without mercy or remorse! How is this justice? How is this peace?"

Such harsh comments… did her sister become disillusioned by Britannia?

Did she blame them for what happened?

After father's words…

But still-.

"Your Highness." Cornelia bowed to her father who was cold and unforgiving as ever, maybe more so since the SAZ Massacre.

"Daughter, have you come here to grovel for your treacherous sister's life once again? If you have then do not waste your time. She has failed the crown and failed Britannia, failure will not be tolerated, no more than weakness." The Emperor Charles coldly declared as Cornelia shivered at her voice, feeling a sense of Déjà vu…

Was this how Lelouch felt on that day…?

"Please, Father, she didn't cause this. It was those radicals that caused this horror and Zero's presence escalated it. She is innocent in this affair. She is still your daughter-."

"THAT WHELP IS NO LONGER MY DAUGHTER BUT ANOTHER FAILURE CREATED THROUGH WEAKNESS! SHE MUST SUFFER FOR HER CRIMES AND FOR REIGNITING THE WAR!"

She cringed at his words.

"Isn't there anything, anything at all I can do? Please, Father-."

"You are willing to submit to my every wish to protect that insolent whelp, even if it must mean doing the unthinkable?"

Cornelia kept bowing as she felt like her nose was going to break from the hard floor. She hopes her father will at least have one ounce of mercy to spare her beloved Euphie, enough to spare her life. She couldn't bear a life without her; she wasn't strong enough.

(She wasn't like-.)

"Fine then. Bring me Zero alive and I may forgive her, she will not be a princess again, but I might spare her life." Charles informed, "Now, take care of those wretched Elevens and find the Black Knights."

Might…

"Yes, Your Highness."

Cornelia then gave one final bow then left the throne room.

After the doors closed, someone was waiting for her.

"You know he would never allow Euphemia to live after her announcement. Might is never will with him."

It was Schneizel el Britannia, with his fox-like smile as always.

"I know, I know but what can I do? If there is a small hope of saving her-."

"Why not you and I go for a walk, maybe to clear your head a bit," Schneizel suggested, knowing he could use his sister's desperation.

In a refugee camp for Britannia's citizens…

Nina, poor, poor Nina was watching the recording over and over again.

"Therefore, I am ordering the execution of the Traitorous Massacre Princess Euphemia, the Terrorist Zero, and all of their conspirators. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is to report to the military at once or face the same fate. Zero, Euphemia, wherever you are… your days are over."

Her beloved Euphemia was being hunted, they were going to kill her princess and-and… and it was all Zero's Fault!

If it wasn't for him…

If she ever had the chance, she'd kill him! And not just him! Every Eleven! The only reason she was in this position was because she took pity on them! And now they were going to get her killed!

"Wow, how many times are you going to watch that?"

Nina gasped and then turned around to see a woman with Dragon Tattoos.

"Who-who are you?" Nina gasped at the ferocity emulating from the woman, who chuckled.

"To you, I may be your new best friend, Miss. Nina Einstein." The woman grinned, "Someone knows of your love for the princess and her capture by the demon, Zero. So, why not gain the power to save her from every Eleven out there?"

At the Lamperouge Suite…

Suzaku, after his patrol felt like he needed something to do to relieve his stress and adrenaline.

Nunna and Euphie suggested he tried a hobby to help get his mind off the world like gardening, cooking (and writing a fantasy romance novel when he thought he was alone) like Lelouch.

"It helps him not to lose his mind after so much has happened," Euphie explained as Suzaku took some thought.

Suzaku… he was in love with so many girls and yet only one won his heart, his Night Angel Among Sunflowers as it were. So beautiful and so radiant and passionate. He wanted to capture her radiance forever and what better form than in painting?

"I'm surprised you wished to paint me, Suzu." The still recovering Lelouch smiled as he was lying in bed while Suzaku sketched him before he could paint.

"Shouldn't beauty be captured and admired forever?" Suzaku flirted.

"And I surmise that you wish to paint Nunna and Euphie next as a set."

"I may."

"You may indeed."

"But to me, there is only one Angel of the Night who won my heart in those fields of Sunflowers." Suzaku proclaimed, causing Lelouch to blush.

He was thankful for those romance novels he peeks at from time to time.
