Enforcer's & Exorcist
Welcome back, so Alexander just had his second kill. Then preceded to break into his targets house, making sure to break the bounded field first which thanks to his origin's he's actually immune to since he shows as a blank spot for all detecting mage-craft, meaning he could walk into a bounded field filled with traps and not set off a single one if's their depended on the sensing of intruders. Not that he knows that, so he'll just keep on breaking the field's letting them know what he's done.
Italy, Elias's residence, Sunday October 15th 2000
Alexander having spent the past ten minutes disarming various traps leading to the bulk of Elias's research notes, is now spending his time dividing his research notes into a pile for, what the clock tower would want, what he could discreetly give to the police to give a possible reason for Elias's death, and the last as kindling for the fire he plans to start to burn all remaining evidence.
Surprisingly the worst thing he was researching was Dead Apostles, likely due to a lot Dead Apostles ancestors having a reality marble, other than that Elias was a much better magnus than most, still a horrible human being but better, leaving Alexander with very few papers that don't outright state he's a magnus that are incriminating.
Stuffing the papers into a folder, and tucking them away before grabbing the other stack and placing it into his shoulder rig. Alexander walking into the kitchen to look for some alcohol. Taking some time and not finding anything with a high enough percentage to be a good accelerant.
Looking for around for anything that could act as an accelerant, he eventually gives up and goes back to the main workshop, throwing everything around making a generally mess. Taking out a knife he starts carving Sowilo onto the desk. Pulling off his glove, he cuts into his hand pouring some blood onto the rune causing it to glow before bursting the desk in flame.
Alexander immediately shuffling back avoiding the flames, puts the glove back on, before pulling out a lighter and throwing it on the floor. Rushing out of the now burning house. Immediately going into an alleyway after exiting the house.
Alexander leaning against the alleyway wall, takes a moment to breath and list the crimes he's committed in the past few hours. "Okay morgue." he says to himself attempting to focus on anything but the familiar feeling building up inside him.
Pushing himself off the wall, Alexander rolls to the side as a long and thin sword sticks itself into the wall. Dodging to the side as another sword hits where his shadow was, Alexander pulling out his nameless pistol, rips off his glove, letting his blood fuel the phantasm charges up a gandr shot and fires at the location the swords were coming from.
Hearing the sound of something hitting metal, he charges another gandr and fires it again. Once again hearing the sound of something hitting metal, this time accompanied by a feminine voice. "So, you are a mage, I though you're sort despised fire arms" Alexander having a feeling of recognition stir up upon hearing the monotone voice mutters "Not her" he says unable to stop himself, but this time realizing what's he's saying. "Have we met before?" the voice asks confused by Alexanders remark
Stepping out of the shadows is a light grey-haired girl, with gold eyes wearing what some part of Alexanders mind places as an exorcist uniform, without a skirt. Seeing her Alexander lowers his pistol and says "Nope, not happening I'm not dealing with you Hortensia." Tilting her head confused she says "So we have met, I don't remember you." Alexander very concerned by being unable to stop himself talking, attempts to cover his mouth, and once again having no response from his right arm.
Sighing deeply, he says "Okay, I don't kn- have the time or Patience to deal with you, go kick some dogs or something else you like." Caren's eyes narrowing says in realization "Oh you're possessed." still very concerned by his lack of control over his own mouth Alexander says "Nope, corrupted persona I think."
"I am proficient in spiritual healing if you would like?" she says taking a step closer, Alexander focusing his gaze on the red cloth around her shoulder says. "Nice try I know you didn't inherit Kirei's magic circuits, so how about you keep your shroud away from me."
Alexander realizing who the girl infront of him is says "Oh you're Caren, still doesn't explain how I'm now aware of what I'm saying." leveling a confused look at Alexander she says "This is a very strange fight, what are you even doing, you aren't planning anything indecent are you, certain look like the sort." Alexander laughing says "says the women who let the embodiment of all the worlds evil have sex with her." he fires back with a harsh tone.
"Huh? I'm certain I've never had sex, what are you implying." Alexander leaning on the alley wall says "Nothing I'm spoken for, but seeing as I have very little patience, I think this is goodbye." pushing off the wall Alexander turns his back and walks away, not bothering to dodge the thrown black key, as a gandr flies from the wall hitting the key sending it off course.
Alexander calmly turning the corner sets off to a certain building making sure to keep a look out for anymore church goers.
Italy, Morgue, Monday October 16th 2000
Having spent the rest of Sunday making sure Caren or the church was either not following him or following false leads, finds himself after a quick stop by a Lawyer's office. Is now finding out the usefulness of wearing a white coat and acting like you belong, despite not speaking a word of the language is now helping in the autopsy of the man he murdered.
The mortician a balding man, carefully holding the head of Elias observing the entry and exit wounds of the rounds. "Judging by the wounds entry and exit points, I would say the sniper is fairly skilled with long barrel fire-arms but was unfamiliar with the murder weapon, which judging by the round itself is likely a M40A model rifle." he says into a tape recorder, before pausing it and turning to Alexander who's standing by watching.
"What is your opinion?" Alexander still unable to speak Italian just holds up three fingers, "Hm M40A3? That's a strong possibility," Clicking the record he says "likely an M40A3 model. The victim was already dead by the time of the second shot judging by the different angle of entry, likely the sniper has done this before." pausing the recording he sets the recorder down and says
"Angelo, right?" he asks to which Alexander just nods, looking over the body, attempting to locate his circuits. Leveling Alexander a questioning stare he asks "You don't talk much do you?" Alexander shaking his head shrugs.
"Figures the one competent assistant and he's not for chit chat, anyways you chose a hell of a day to start, not every day someone gets assassinated." Alexander still unable to respond properly just nods and continue locating Elias circuits. The mortician looking to a clock hanging on the wall says "We have thirty more minutes till we have to finish our report."
Finding twenty-five circuits surrounding Elias's right forearm Alexander smiles to himself, now planning on how to get the mortician out of the room for long enough for him to pull the circuits off his arm. Looking down to his own watch, Alexander holds up one finger to him and walks out the doors, and heads down the hall to a phone.
Dialing up a specific number, Alexander waits exactly five rings before it's answered. "Hm, I was under the impression this was Zelretch's number, yeah, yeah, Lorelei, you do frighten me, but I'm not really that afraid of dying, so I'll make this quick, Elias Erikson is dead, I've arranged for his body to be transported back to the clock tower, which will happen in a few days' time, if you'd like I could bring back his circuits ahead of time?"
Alexander pausing his debriefing as Lorelei starts speaking. "Yes, I am aware this doesn't concern you but Zelretch clearly gave me the wrong number to call so I'd rather use it to inform somebody of what's going on instead of letting it get to me."
Alexander not actually bothering to listen holds the phone away from his ear and waits. "Got it, just thought you'd like to know he was researching dead apostles." he says before hanging up the phone already knowing of her obsession with hunting them.
Walking back to the room, the mortician seeing Alexander asks "What was that about?" shrugging he points to his ring finger, rolling his eyes he says "Maybe wait till you're on break next time." he says motioning for Alexander.
"Angelo, how old were you again?" he asks making Alexander sigh to himself. "Venti quattro." he answers walking past him to a counter behind him. The mortician stopping his observation on the body says "that's odd, Angelo is supposed to be twenty-eight, who ar-" he says turning towards Alexander before Alexander puts him in a choke hold and squeezes, knocking him out within seconds.
Dropping his unconscious body to the floor, Alexander sighs deeply. "Why does this always happen." he says moving to Elias's corpse, searching through his person, Alexander pulls out a small bit of glass, and resting his hand onto Elias's arm says
"Depend, Mend, Bend," he says starting the processes of removing his circuits, slowly separating them from the body, holding onto the glass with his other hand he says "Fend, Rend," seeing the glass light up a soft green with glowing circuits, he says "End." before putting it away. Looking down to the unconscious form of the mortician once again Alexander looks around the room, seeing a cleaning closet, Alexander grabs his shoulders and drags him into it, and taking a moment to tie him up and shoving a cloth into his mouth, closes and locks the door, planning on leaving very quickly.
Italy, Friday October 20th 2000
Alexander currently sitting down enjoying a nice cup of whatever concoction Luvia made up, is still in town having spent the past few days laying low, and looking for a place he can hunt on short notice. Having no luck finding any decent hunting spots to cooperate his story, is planning on leaving today, knowing the heat is dying down.
"I thought you would have left." a monotone voice calls from behind Alexander. Ignoring it he continues drinking his disgusting drink, unfazed by being ignored Caren sits across from Alexander and says "Sitting at the same table of a man you killed doesn't seem like a very bright idea." Alexander taking note of the lack of a red cloak on her and her wearing a nun's raiment, lets out a breath and says. "Hello their sister, something I could help you with?" he asks managing to say what he meant to. Shaking her head, she says "You must have been lucky the first time, I could have killed you."
"I knew you were there I chose to ignore you." he says causing her to roll her eyes. "What's your problem with me?" she asks to which Alexander shrugs and says "Not much of a clue, I think it's because other versions of us have met, don't ask." he says not caring how he sounds "Hmm, I guess all mages really are crazy." she says smiling Alexander says "Honestly yeah, even the good ones have something wrong with them, then there's the ones like your dad, who according to every single note mentioning participation in the heaven's feel is someone you should at least attempt to kill on sight."
"Never met him." she says disregarding his statement, laughing Alexander says "Says the one described as the mouth piece of his personality." he remarks harshly before Alexander says "my apologizes didn't mean to say that."
"So, he's the reason for how I am?" she mutters to herself, Alexander choosing to ignore it asks "So any reason you came to sit with me?" looking up at Alexander she says "You clearly knew of me, so I decided to learn about you."
"Go on then, you've had five days." he says leaning back waiting to hear what she has to say. "Your name is Alexander Silver, you work under the man credited with defeating crimson moon, and by all accounts you don't exist." she says listing everything she's found out. "I clearly exist, but I can understand your confusion." he says taking a drink, as Caren asks "How?" shaking his head Alexander answers "Zelretch brought me from another world, so I imagine that next year an Alexander Silver will be born somewhere in Indiana."
"You haven't been born yet." she says to herself, nodding he says "Maybe, I thought that most of what I've been dealing with for the past month was fake, so it's entirely possible I'm not from here." he says shrugging and finishing his drink. "Mages are odd." She says as if deciding something. "Don't get me started." Alexander says getting out of the chair and pushing it under the table. Smiling he says "Welp I'm done here, so hopefully this is goodbye, forever."
"Maybe, maybe not." she says. Alexander ignoring her turns and walks away from Caren, turning around the corner and heading to his car. Having decided to head home and leave Italy behind, and after making sure his car hadn't been tampered with, he starts it and drives off, having everything he needs to say job done.
Omake, hardest battle.
Sitting next to each other, behind a large table is, Rin Tohsaka, Waver Velvet, and Luviagelita Edelfelt. All watching on as Shirou and Alexander battle, focus solely on their duel completely ignorant of the world around them.
"How did I get roped into this again?" Waver asks very confused by the turn of events. Rin not taking her eyes off the battle says "We needed a third judge; you were deemed impartial." Waver turning his gaze to her says "I hardly think deciding which is a better cook as something I'm needed for." he says before turning his gaze back to Alexander and Shirou as they furiously cook in separate kitchens.
Waver opening his mouth to protest is stopped as a timer goes off, causing both Shirou and Alexander stop. And after a few minutes Alexander places three plates infront of them. Smiling he says "I've made a simple steak, combined with a nice homemade sauce to counter the loss of vitamins in the grilling process, and some spinach and sweet mashed potatoes, to go along."
Followed by Shirou laying out a dish and cutting into it, and serving it on three separate plates. "And I've made a simple pork gratin, using several different peppers and eggs." he says keeping it simple. Both taking a step back wait watching as the try both dishes. Each judge taking a moment after trying them, before saying at the same time "Shirou's is better." letting out a breath Alexander says "Thought so, congratulations Emiya, you're the superior chef" he says smiling.
Shirou scratching his head says "I wouldn't say that." Alexander sighing says "Emiya don't be humble, seriously, don't." Alexander says having said such many times before. Shirou just lets out a nervous laugh at the slight threat.
And that's it, like I said last chapter not all plans go wrong, but most of them do. Encountering Caren, was not something that happened to the original Alexander till much later on, but at least Alexander is now aware of what he's saying, so yay. And about the Omake, a bit short I know, but I was thinking about who would be the better chef, and it always came to the same answer, Shirou is better. Mainly because I think Alexander is the type to not care about how something tastes as long as it's healthy, and if you can tell I don't know anything about cooking.
