Yuamu's Secret

"It seemed like just yesterday Yuamu disappeared after our duel." Yuhi thought to himself as he opened the door to Yuamu's office inside UTS. The now acting president of UTS mind was running a thousand miles an hour; "Why did Yuamu feel the desire to jump into that duel to protect Yuga sure she explained herself by saying he was their descendant but Yuhi felt like he barely knew him and assumed Yuamu felt the same. That's why he was now sitting in his sister's office trying to figure out answers as Yuhi sat in Yuamu's chair he opened her top desk drawer unsure of what he'd find but right now he was just trying to find anything that could help him help Yudia's find Yuamu and bring her home safe. It was then that Yuhi noticed an Electric Blue notebook with the words Yuamu's Diary written on the cover. Yuhi felt conflicted he knew that it wasn't right to snoop much less reading his sister's diary but given the circumstances Yuhi felt Yuamu would probably forgive him... Maybe...

In his conviction Yuhi turned the lamp on Yuamu's desk on and pulled out the notebook opened it to the last diary entry and began reading;

March 9th, 2024

Dear Diary;

Today I write to you with confliction; I am truly worried about the effects Kuidals meddling is having on our city, our friends, UTS, and me and my family...

For months now I have deliberated on telling Yuhi and Yudia's about a secret I have had for months now but honestly, I've been scared to. Scared about what they would think or say...

Yuhi stopped reading confused about what Yuamu could possibly be talking about; intrigued Yuhi looked down once again and continued to read.

It's about me and Yuga ever since that day I found him over looking Mutsuba Town upset, Angry and, perhaps most of all lonely. Sure Yuna tried to cheer Yuga up but failed catastrophically to do so. In fact Yuga even told me she tried but in fact made things worse. I knew what I had to do even if it was wrong; with Yuga being me and Yuhi's descendant supposedly and, I use the word "supposedly" because we couldn't figure out his connection to us other than a name even after traveling to his time. So it didn't feel wrong and I didn't see the harm in doing it since the related thing was just an assumption... I couldn't stand seeing him like that so I asked Yuga out!

Yuhi shot up he couldn't believe what he had just read as he thumbed through the book trying to compare handwriting he couldn't believe that Yuamu would do something like that although he was quickly certain it was indeed his sister who was writing these words. Come to think of it the words made sense as Yuhi remembered what had transpired between Yuamu Himself and Yudias as they dueled in space after Yuga was unable to continue. This would explain why Yuamu would try so hard to protect him even if what she said then was a cover for her true motives.

The young man couldn't help but be curious about it and figured his best bet was to continue reading;

"I will never forget that day in the shopping district; we hit it off almost immediately. Things didn't feel awkward or forced we felt like we could be open to one another. For the first time since he arrived here Yuga told me he was genuinely happy and that I intrigued him and I must admit the feeling was mutual we talked about so many things that day it really was love at first meeting even if it wasn't technically our first meeting.

The only sad part was we knew it couldn't last we both knew that sooner or later Kuidals meddling would mean Yuga would have to intervene to stop the creation of that card and, he told me he knew that the second he did intervene he'd likely be forced back to his era. I cried and begged Yuga not to intervene to leave Kuidal alone and to stay here with me, he truly didn't want to make me cry but he knew... We knew he had to stop the creation of Kuidals creation "Monster Reborn" because of the pain it caused in Yuga's era. We also then vowed that I would keep quiet and just let it ride even though it was hard. Yuga hugged me in that moment and promised me that even if he fell back into the event horizon he'd figure out a way to come back to me or vice versa. At the time I didn't know whether he was just telling me that or he meant it either way in that moment I couldn't explain the feeling other than it was love as he kissed my cheek.

We knew that what was about to happen needed to happen but in that moment I decided I would protect Yuga at all costs although for fear of being judged i'd have to be careful of how I do it and what words I said...

I don't know when I'll write to you again but I'll be sure to write more about my "alone time" with Yuga someday I guess for right now page three of the red book will have to do hehehe...

Yuhi looked up from Yuamu's Diary with a thousand yard stare he couldn't believe what he had just read however; the last line in the entry intrigued him as he found a red notebook with a picture of Red Reboot Booster Dragon on it under where Yuamu had kept her diary without even thinking Yuhi pulled it out and opened it up to page three. Yuhi figured he was already in trouble and dead if Yuamu finds out about this anyway so what was the harm especially if it gave them a clue on where she could be? However after a few seconds of glancing and reading of that page of the red book Yuhi immediately threw it down onto the desk with his face glowing in embarrassment and disgust...

"OH MY GOD YUAMU... EWE... EWE... EWE..."

Yuhi wished for nothing more in that moment for the ability to unsee what he had just seen or even a bottle of bleach to wash his eyes out but he knew damn well that what he just read was now trapped in his mind forever along with the fact that his sister has a "dark and dirty side to her" which at her age just a teenager like himself was rather horrifying to him. It also was then Yuhi realized a page was missing after the page he just glanced at. He just hoped that Yuamu wasn't bold and warped enough to copy down that... "Fantasy" to give to Yuga as a souvenir; but at this point who could say? He felt like he didn't know Yuamu anymore after reading that.

With that said Yuhi was starting to get a little more insight into what happened with Yuamu. The UTS leader in that moment was confident that Yuamu would be following Yuga and his words but it also raised another question if he was right and she was following Yuga someone she obviously loves now; where did they send him? Did they really send him back to his time?

There was only one way to know for sure and that was for Yuhi to help Yudias. With that in mind Yuhi shot up out of the chair sliding Yuamu's books into his bag however as Yuhi was sliding them into his bag he was surprised to see five cards slide out of Yuamu's Diary confused, Yuhi picked them up and glanced at them to his surprise they were cards that he didn't recognize and certainly had never seen Yuamu use. There was a spell card a trap card and three level ten monsters being in a rush though to catch Yudias before he left Yuhi didn't have a chance to examine them closely so he just slid them back into Yuamu's diary and placing it and the red book into his bag before leaving UTS and luckily for Yuhi he made it to Yudias before he left all but certain these two books and the cards inside them may come in handy in helping them find Yuamu...

"We'll find you Yuamu I promise!" Yuhi declared as he Yudias and Earth-dammer left earth...

Go Rush. Yudias, Epoch Earthdammer added after Yuhi as they climbed into the ship and headed off earth faded in the background of the vast universe around them...
