*IMPORTANT*

(7/16/24) Hello everyone! Author here. The long-awaited Rewrite is here!

It's been six years since the first chapter has been published, but I'm back with a completely rewritten version, plus additional chapters from where it left off!

I suggest rereading the entire fic to understand the later chapters, but if you're not up for that, you could start on chapter [14. Mission and Exams] which starts Naruto Canon! The previous chapters build up Suna lore, our MC's fight to understand where they place in this strange world as well as her own fight for her beliefs.

HOWEVER

I highly recommend starting at least at chapter [5. Skills] to follow long accordingly (I added so much more to our OC's time at the Academy, and I think you guys will like it, along with major changes throughout each arc), but if you aren't up for that, please reread the last five chapters starting at [43. Start] to understand this chapter as I have completely rewritten the entire War Arc.

*END*

. . .

The lunge of inertia was a feeling she had grown accustomed to, her mind cool and her temperament sharper than a blade. Far too long has she dallied in what ifs, trying to min-max her way through this "game". Her past self was young, far too young and placing larger-than-life responsibilities on her shoulders.

When was the last time she saw people as people? Not sob-stories, not NPCs, but real-life breathing people.

It was almost laughable.

Her mind's defensive mechanism protruding this game for her, and she'd been playing its fiddle for all this time. Silently, she blamed the Sage of Six Paths, for tearing her soul from limbo to save the mistakes he had caused. To tie up the loose-ends and finish it all.

Tamako's body jolted forward and she grabbed the kunai that she had tagged earlier, turning a blind eye at Naruto's wide gape and Sasuke's suspiciously proud eyes.

"Where do you think you're going, Madara!" Her voice almost seemed raw from the amount of screaming this body had done in the past two-system days, let alone the resets she bodied through.

With a mid-air twirl, she dodged Madara's truth-seeking rods and reached her tatted palm forward, a sliver of her finger-tips brushed his deathly pale skin. It was all she needed.

"Hah!" Tamako grunted and pushed her chakra through his boundaries, overloading Madara's with her own in a rouge hijack.

Madara grunted, his flying body going prone for just a few seconds as he plummeted down before instantly recovering, swatting her aside like a fly and swooping down where Kakashi and Itachi rested. The Uchiha instantly sprung up from his low defensive position, swinging a few shuriken coated with Ameterasu but was easily batted aside. Madara easily bypassed Itachi and tore out Kakashi's Sharingan with one fell swoop.

Tamako felt her body pulse, feeling something inside of her rip apart and separating her, half of her will following. Something invisible, something not exactly on this plane but still interconnected to her flew out of her body.

"Another shadow!?" Naruto cried out, occupied with an invisible enemy her eye couldn't perceive.

Her eyes narrowed has she spammed [Observe] in her surroundings, ignoring the common [Dirt], [Chakra Residue], and [Rock]. Then, she caught. Just for a second, the label [Madara's Limbo] appeared just beside Naruto before disappearing in a split second.

Then, she understood.

A plane of existence that only those with Sage of Six Path's chakra could perceive, even if miniscule. This was the "gift" old man Hagoromo had left her.

Just as she felt her Limbo separate, she could vaguely sense a string that connected the two, constantly tugging and alerting her of it's location. With one more tug, she felt her inertia shift again, and suddenly, she found herself in front of Madara himself.

It was faster than Hiraishin and was basically a walking teleport point.

She grinned.

"Leaving so soon?" Her fist reached out and landed a solid punch and Madara's face launched to the side, his eyes widening with surprise. With a sharp pulse of her chakra, she left an invisible chakra-print on Madara's face.

"Like a cockroach, you are." He snarked out.

Tamako connected her punch with a solid back-spin, throwing the Uchiha careening to the side as he kamui-ed a portal, falling through it. The girl narrowed her eyes and felt herself free-falling once again. With a quick pulse of chakra, she hiraishin back to the ground, landing beside the marked kunai.

"Shit." She crouched low, peering at Kakashi. "Your eye... do you want me to take a quick look?" Then, she perked out at the sound of light footsteps, giving Sasuke a nod. "Madara's off in Obito's dimension now. I don't know for how long since time passes much quicker in there, so this will be the only time we can regroup."

Itachi grunted, falling back into a low crouch as he nursed his ribs. "I'm sorry, Kakashi-senpai. I wasn't able to..."

"It's not your fault, Itachi." Kakashi responded, his palm covering his missing eye as his forehead was pinched with pain.

Before Sasuke could add a few remarks, all four shinobi flung their head's to the side at the familiar swirl of chakra just south of them. That fast!?

What fell out of Kamui was not their enemy, but rather a familiar pink-hair girl.

Kakashi was the first to voice out a combination of relief and concern. "Sakura!"

The girl panted, squinting at the three as her eyes adjusted to the lightning. "Kaka-sensei." Then, her eyes trailed to the side before widening. "Sasuke?!"

The teenager quickly closed his Rinnegan eye closed, "Why did you pop out of here all the sudden, Sakura?"

"She was in the Time-Space plane..." Kakashi offered, "Sakura, what's going on over there?"

The girl rose for her knees to a low crouch, "An intense chakra invaded my mind while I was in there." She narrowed her eyes and pitched her brows. "I don't know if you'll believe me, but that chakra introduced himself as the Sage of Six Paths. Said he would give me power."

Both Tamako and Sasuke narrowed their eyes at her words. "So you met him too, Sakura." The boy spoke.

"You guys too...?" She whispered out hesitantly before launching forward once she got a better look at Kakashi. "Sensei, your eye!"

Kakashi brought a hand to his missing eye, rubbing the side of the temple with a grimace. "It all happened so fast... but Madara stole my Sharingan. While my vision is impaired, tend to Itachi first."

"I'll take a quick look." Sakura bent down and began fretting over her old sensei, coating her palms in green before she froze. "I don't know why, but..." She trailed off, prying the two eye-lids apart before placing a single palm over his eye. With a concentrated look, Tamako felt a burst of physical energy. Gingerly, the girl took a single step back and glanced at her palm.

Kakashi hesitantly opened both his eyes, and there it was. A new eye.

So that was the power Hagoromo gave to Sakura. It fit her. The ability to heal, a small portion of the Yang that was suppose to be given to Naruto.

"Fascinating." Itachi whispered, "I've never seen healing to such a degree. Not even Tsunade could..." He trailed off, turning to the pinkette. "You have a gift."

"Hagoromo gave you Yang Chakra..." Tamako spoke softly. "Physical energy to harmonize with your healing chakra." Then with a nasty grin. "That means, even if we lose a limb, lung or heart, Sakura could just make another one. Earth that nourishes, creates and gives. How fitting."

"Y-yang chakra? B-but that's—"

"Never mind that." Sasuke cuts in. "If Madara is in Obito's realm, then it's safe to say that Madara now has both Rinnegan."

"Then, we have to stay alert. We won't know when Madara will emerge." Tamako finished, peering at Sasuke with a low grin. "Then you might as well keep your Rinne-Sharingan out."

Sakura stopped her prodding with Kakashi's new eye and gasped, putting both palms at her mouth. Hesitatingly, Sasuke finally opened his eye and revealed the unique purple-ringed eye. "Sasuke, since when did you get your own Rinnegan?"

Tamako answered for Sasuke, sensing his less than stellar emotions aimed her. "The Sage is very generous with his gifts." She leans forward, throwing an arm around the boy with a smile. "So shy so suddenly? You were having a blast with the eye just a second ago, weren't you?"

Sasuke scoffed, throwing her shoulder away as he crossed his arms, turning his attention to a fast-approaching Naruto. "What happened with the Shadow?"

"Stopped him cold with my Six Paths' Rods! And a Shadow Clone." The Blonde grinned, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly before pointing an accusing finger at Tamako. "And you! You have one too!"

Tamako jutted her hip to the side and rested a hand on it. With a smile, she tilted her head and regarded the blonde. "What, you think only you and Sasuke are obligatory to gifts from your father?"

"My dad's the Fourth Hokage, not that, weird senile man!" Naruto grumbled. "So, that means you met him too?"

Sakura chimed in, "I did too."

"Hah?" Naruto then glanced at the silver-haired shinobi. "What about you, Kaka-sensei?"

The man eye smiles. "All three of you have changed a lot since your introductory all those years ago."

Team 7 turns their attention to Kakashi in surprise at his sudden subject change.

"Naruto, you've surpassed the Hokage. Sakura, you've love has reached a deeper level and meaning." Then, Kakashi turns to Sasuke. "What is your dream now, Sasuke?"

All the shinobi in the vicinity stare at the lone Uchiha, with Sakura finally breaking the tense silence. "Sasuke, when you said you'll become Hokage. What do you mean?"

Sasuke has no answer, not one he'll share just yet.

"It might be fate that the old Team 7 reunites like this, Sasuke. If you don't want to say what you're thinking right now, that's alright." Kakashi opens his eyes and stares deeply. "But the fact that we were once Team 7 is undisputable... right?"

Tamako inches away from the scene, giving Itachi a shrug. She felt a bit left out and maybe alienated from the experience. It's a tense scene with lots of melancholy in the air, its best if she didn't interrupt. With those thoughts in her head, she taps the ground with her sandal softly, each tap pulsing out chakra in waves and saturates the nearby vicinity.

Then she feels.

A roar of chakra that simmers down to something unsettling. Her stomach rumbles as she shouts. "He's here! Get ready!"

The five shinobi throw themselves into familiar stance as they stare down the monster. His pair of purple-ringed eyes glance around them, eyeing each of their figures before staring at her own limbo. With a smirk, "Without a Rinnegan, you were able to sprout a single Limbo. I'm impressed, Little Girl. Just how were you able to achieve that?"

One Rinnegan, she can handle. Two?

Oh, it reminds her of Pein. The way he tore her body apart, his purple-ringed eyes devouring her figure, memorizing the way her blood flows, how her arm contorts and body writhing in pain. She tries to observe her opponent, but only receives the most basic information as well as quick flashes of three or four Limbo.

That'll be a problem.

"There's four more Limbos. This won't be easy."

"Got it!"

Tamako claps a hand onto Sakura's shoulders. "Madara has four invisible shadows of himself that perform similar to a Shadow Clone. Unlike Naruto who can vaguely sense them and Sasuke's able to see them, I'm only able to vaguely estimate their location every chakra pulse." There's a pitiful smile on her face. "As much as I hate it, this fight will be difficult for us."

"My Sharingan is also unable to locate him." Itachi added quietly holding up a kunai and appraised their enemy. Instead of favoring one side, thanks to a quick patch from Sakura, he widen his stance and narrowed his red eyes.

Tamako almost sighed outloud, she was really about to fight Madara's shadows, both literal and figuratively.

When Madara summons several dozen meteors to rain down, Tamako could only laugh in disbelief. "These are even bigger than the ones from yesterday..!"

Then, Naruto summoned six Rasen-Shuriken, nearly the same size at the meteors themselves and flung them forward, Tamako could only laugh again in disbelief. What the hell was going on? Wasn't Hagoromo's buff a little too bias to those two? Why was she eating the scraps with a single Limbo?

Then, she was reminded of her wasteful reloads that depleted majority of the chakra Hagoromo had given her soul before she was fully conceptualized in this world.

A whiplash of air and an unsteady, hurried landing of Sasuke woke her up, his Susanoo enveloping the group with it's wings and shadowing them.

From what exactly?

The Moon.

"Don't go outside right now."

"So your Rinnegan can shield from the Moon?"

Sasuke turned to Tamako with a firm nod. "My Rinnegan dispels the genjutsu outside, and my Susanoo is formed by that eye. If all six of us fail, it's all over."

With worried glances, Sakura finally speaks up. "Then, everyone outside is under a genjutsu?" She turns to each of her teammates, all unable to provide a solid answer. "Sasuke?"

He glances back at her, "What difference will it make, knowing? There's nothing you can do right now."

"That's not the point." Kakashi finally stands up from his low crouch, all healed up thanks to Sakura. "Naruto and I also want to know. We want to analyze our next move, Sakura only—

"Kakashi." Sasuke cuts in with a cold glare. "You're being just like Sakura now. Just shut up for now."

Tamako tuts. "Sasuke..." With one hand on her hip and another pointing at the Uchiha with disapproval written on her face. "You really need to communicate better. We all know there's nothing we can do. Hell, not even you can do anything outside right now and as Hatake said, that's not the point." She sighs, "We need to work together, all six of us, now that the rest of the world is off dreaming."

"She speaks the truth, Sasuke." Itachi tilts his head at his younger brother. "While you do hold powers beyond myself and many of us, keeping the rest of us informed will ensure the group is able to react accordingly."

Kakashi seems to age on the spot. "It's true, we can't do anything. If you can analyze what's outside with your left eye, then right now, Sasuke, you should be the one to lead this five-man squad."

"Haah?" Naruto points with squinted eyes, "I doubt he's better at planning than the rest of us!" Then more quietly. "Although, he may be better than me..."

With crossed arms, Sasuke finally speaks. "Madara has activated his jutsu, a powerful genjutsu. As Tamako said before, everyone has fallen under a deep sleep. We are the only ones... left unaffected."

Kakashi breaks the shock silence with narrowed eyes. "The Infinite Tsukuyomi, huh?"

"The victim is trapped in an infinite unbreakable genjutsu of their greatest dreams." Tamako supplies quietly. "It runs on moonlight, eventually it'll wane."

"Then, as long as there's light, we're stuck here." Sakura finishes, a grave look on her face.

Save the world.

It was the one line everyone had racing through their mind. And they'll only have one-shot at this.

Sasuke's Susanoo slowly dispelled, it's wings finally blighting the area as they took in the massive tree, comrades alike strung up like mummies and their chakra greedily sucked in.

"And now, I, Uchiha Madara, is the World's Savior."

A tired smile grew on her face. "Madara, do you remember what I said?"

"Hm?" He chuckled, "Those are your last words—?"

A dark blacken hand pierced through Madara's heart, Black Zetsu grinning all the same.

"And in the end, you didn't believe my words." She softly spoke, watching Madara's face contort through emotions faster than she'd predicted.

Zetsu chuckled, "You spoke to Obito for falling for your dreams and schemes, yet you have fallen for mine."

"What the hell is going on!?"

"They're having a falling out, at this stage of the game?!"

"Black Zetsu was never on Madara's side." Tamako spoke, fingers gripping the ends of her sleeves nervously. "Madara thought himself as the player, but in reality..." With a steady finger, she pointed at the Black Mass of Will. "... Zetsu was the Game Master."

Sasuke's hand shook. "Then, him mentioning Kaguya..!"

"Who!?"

"Kaguya." The periwinkle hair supplied. "Mother of Chakra. Rabbit Goddess."

At her words, the Konoha Shinobi flinched, eyes wide as they snapped their heads to her. "No way, then all this time..."

"...you were planning for this?" Sakura whispered out.

Tamako narrowed her eyes, "How do you three know that?"

"Gaara told us. Your goals: root, weasel, rabbit."

Tamako choked, "How did Gaara—"

"—That's not important right now!" Sasuke shouted, "His chakra is going crazy, and all of Madara's shadows have disappeared!"

"Brace! Brace!" Tamako screamed, nearly falling to the ground with large visible pillars of chakra sprouted from the ground aggressively before being absorbed by Madara and Black Zetsu. It was only thanks to Itachi's quick thinking and lightning reflexes that he caught her.

"He's absorbing all the chakra from the ground!?"

"This is really bad guys!" Naruto stumbled to the ground, "This chakra signature is much stronger than the Ten Tails!"

"Go! Before they complete whatever they're doing!" At Sasuke's words, both he and Naruto sprung towards the two, forming their signature jutsu. Before they could even land a hit, Madara's hair grew in length, capturing the two in blank white hair as Zetsu chuckled even harder. "Like two moths flying into the flame, I'm going to absorb all of your chakra from the two of you."

Tamako grit her teeth and flung her marked kunai, at the two, sending her Limbo and Itachi to Naruto and herself at Sasuke. "You think you can do so that easily, Zetsu?" She swung a katana down, slicing through the hair as her Limbo tore the strands messily. Instantly, the hair regrew and new strands chased her figure.

"This is bad, Sasuke!" Naruto screamed, struggling from the hold as he shifted back and forth. "If we don't stop him now, he'll take everyone's chakra before us and kill them!"

"Hahaha! Don't worry, Mother won't kill them. Just like before, she'll keep them alive and integrate them to her army."

"W-wh— how!?"

"You sure are stupider than Itachi."

Tamako dodged and weaved around the hair, slicing as she went but still gaining distance from her attended goal. That damn Zetsu, he's doing this on purpose. "He makes White Zetsu out of them!" She shouted overhead, finally pulsing her chakra into the air and crystalizing the hair, shattering it in one go.

Madara spluttered, his body swollen with chakra and his face malformed. "What do you mean Zetsu? Infinite Tsukiyomi is an Uchiha technique, one that brings eternal peace to the shinobi world."

By Ameterasu-ing the hair, Itachi successfully tore Naruto free as her Limbo scooped him up while Tamako messily crystalized the hair once again. "That stone tablet was tampered, Madara! Don't you see?" She cried out, "Shit, his body is swelling, we need to make space before she arrives!"

The four jumped away from the bloated body with Tamako catching Obito before he could plummet to the ground. "Shit shit shit." She chanted, hauling Obito over her shoulder. "This is it. This is fucking it.

It was time to meet Her. Mother of Chakra, the Rabbit Goddess.

Madara's bloated figure, bloated and full of chakra, slowing diminished in size as the mass of blob converted into the beautiful figure of Kaguya. Her Byakugan eyes slowly opened, her red Rinne-Sharingan wide open on her forehead.

The Goddess stared down at them, her ethereal hair nearly glowing as she basked in the moonlight. With a single command, her long hair grew sharp and rained down. Tamako quickly dodged to the side, slicing whenever possible as Sasuke formed chidori and went storming in with no plan.

Slowly, his chidori fizzed out and both he and Naruto were flung to the side, rolling in dirt for several meters as Tamako sweated in cold blood.

"These two..." Kaguya spoke softly, floating towards the boys and passed her as if she didn't exist. Her long hair gently swayed behind her effortlessly. "Are Hagoromo and Hamura... no. Indra and Ashura's..." Her eyes widen for just a fraction, activating Byakugan.

Kaguya's head snapped to the side, eyeing Tamako unblinkingly. "Hagoromo..." Then at Sakura, eyes staring deep at her Yin Seal. "Ōtsutsuki." The Goddess paused in thought. "So it was Hagoromo who gave them this power. Nevertheless, I cannot let this world be damaged any longer. This nursery of mine... I will not destroy you."

The landscape changed in a flicker, hot magma at her feet and sweltering air sticking to her lungs.

"But I will in here."

Free-falling to the bubbling hot rock below was not in her to-do's list. Fuck, if she get's out of here alive, she's gonna check off her entire to-do list once and for all!

"Shouton: Barrier Technique!" She shouted, pouring her chakra into the hot air and catching the group. Sweat dripped down her forehead. "I said it once, I'll say it again. No one is dying while I'm here."

Sakura gaped on her knees as Kakashi cradled Obito in his arms. With a twitch, Sakura's headband, loose from freefalling, fell into the lava with a gurgle.

"So it wasn't a genjutsu after all..."

"Shit shit shit." Tamako changed, "I don't have my mokuton here, quickly, wake up Obito!" There was almost tears in her eyes. "We're gonna need all the Uchiha hacks right about now."

Three Uchiha's basically equal a win, right?

"This world will come to an end if either one of us dies, Naruto." Sasuke stood still in a glare at the Goddess ahead of them. "Only your Six Paths of Yin, and my Six Paths of Yang can seal that being in front of us. If we don't succeed, mankind will perish." His fingers twitched and Tamako could only watch the back of him. "We can't afford to die, no matter what... when Infinite Tsukuyomi was launched, Kakashi and Sakura just happened to be near you. That's how it is."

Tamako sighed, "Is that all you think of them, Sasuke?" She took a step forward, her heel clicking against the crystalized ground. "Baggage conveniently saved? Why, I thought I knew you better." Two pikes form between her fingers and her hands snatch them aggressively. "While I don't have the means to seal Kaguya, that doesn't mean I'm completely useless."

Itachi merely gave a soft smile, his eyes seemingly glowing against the hot molten red. An incomplete Susanoo formed around his body as he readied an attack.

"You say that Sasuke..." Naruto trails off, a grin springing on his face. "But sometimes, doesn't your body just move on its own?" He let silence overtake the heated cavern before sighing. "Well, whatever. I know what you mean, Sasuke."

Then, she felt the surge. She knew that Naruto was a sensor to some degree, and that Sasuke's eyes sees clearer than all, but she shouted a warning anyways. "Watch out!" She threw the two pikes forward, watching them be swatted harmlessly away by Kaguya's white hair before clapping her hands together, "Shouton: Barrier Technique!"

She summoned another barrier to block the fine pin-needles of hair that Kaguya sent their way, her barrier crumbling each second. This wasn't some normal hair, it was clearly more powerful than Jiraiya's hair technique. With an extra pulse of chakra, she reinforced the barrier with a second layer.

"How long can you hold this up?" Itachi asked, sweat beading down his chin. His fingers twitched with action.

Before she could reply, she was rudely interrupted. What she didn't realize, was that Kaguya could swerve her own hair. "Shit!" Two pin-needles pierced her chakra points of her left, letting it dangle uselessly to the side. It was at that moment the crystal beneath their feet began to groan and crumble at everyone's combined weight as the damage Kaguya was making threw it over the cliff.

The barrier shattered, throwing everyone towards the bubbling magma.

"Not long enough!" Tamako cried out. "Susanoo! Susanoo!" There were tears in her eyes. "Fucking summon a Susanoo! Either one of you!"

But before the brothers could surge their chakra, she felt a large hand grasp her torso, warm with chakra and blindingly yellow. "Uhhh." Naruto intelligently said.

"You should've told us you can fly!"

"I'm discovering my powers as we go okay!" Naruto shouted back, slowly hovering them higher and away from the magma.

Tamako tore out the hair pins from her arm without a wince, throwing them down to the lava below and watched them melt from existence. With just a bit of chakra, she circulated them down towards her closed tenketsu and slowly massaged them in a rotating manner, easing them from closure.

"Once more." Kaguya spoke gaining speed and approaching them fast. "I shall reunite all chakra!"

Kaguya met with Naruto's chakra-molded hand point-blank, a blinding white light pierced her eyes. With one option left, Tamako signed with her good arm and used a chunk of a cliff that broke off into four smaller platforms. She hopped onto one and used the bright light as cover, maneuvering her hovering crystal below Kaguya with Itachi's platform to the Goddess' Back.

She could feel Sasuke's enormous chakra build from up high, meaning he had that direction covered. She wasn't stupid, Kaguya wasn't a foe she could take. With Mokuton out of the picture and Shouton's wide-range ability, she wasn't about to risk the rest of her party.

Not to mention her out of commission arm.

For now, the best she could do is provide wide-range support.

Besides, Itachi's Totsuka Blade and Yata Mirror combo was honestly the most broken thing she'd ever seen. Hell, it was probably as broken as Sasuke and Naruto.

Then she saw it.

Kaguya calmly, without a twitch to her head, raised both her arms and caught both Susanoo's blades. They seemed to melt from her hold, dripping onto her form as if she were absorbing it's essence alone.

And then she remembered.

Kaguya could absorb all chakra, and both Totsuka Blade and Yata Mirror are the manifestation of Yin-Yang.

"Sasuke! Itachi!" The two brothers were blasted away with Naruto still tumbling through the air from the sheer force. With speed she didn't know she was capable of, Tamako quickly latched her chakra onto the back of Itachi's clothing and crystalized it, warping the size and catching him before he could fly into the cliff. Thankfully, Sasuke was already attuned to his Rinne-Sharingan, teleporting himself to Naruto's Truth Seeking Orbs and grabbing ahold of the blond.

Tamako floated by Itachi, wincing as she went. Her arm was getting a little numb and buzzing, her nerves felt like they were on fire. "We'll need to make an opening so that Naruto and Sasuke can seal her, it's the only way." She blew her sweaty bangs away and gave a grim smile. "Defeating a Goddess... well, we'll need all the help we can get."

"Agreed. Mother of Chakra... she wont be so easy." Itachi coughed, wiping sweat with the back of his palm.

She quickly reconnected with the rest of the party while Sasuke and Naruto were distracting Kaguya and nodded at the remaining two members.

"Sakura, wake Obito up." She gave a nod to Kakashi. "I need your genius brain now, Hatake. How do we distract a woman?"

Kakashi seemed to cough harshly at her words, hacking what almost seemed to be a furball. "Excuse me?"

"I'm not repeating my words. Kaguya may be a Goddess, but she's also a mother and a woman."

Sakura coughed, placing her palms away from Obito as his eyes twiched. "U-um. Is this the right time to have this conversation?"

"Your sensei is an ex-ANBU. He has tactics and we need them now."

Before Tamako could get another word out, Itachi grabbed her shoulder and narrowed his red eyes. "They're making a move."

The group fell into silence, watching Sasuke start the opening move, covering Kaguya in Ameterasu and Naruto going in with several clones.

The high-stress situation and the many decades of dying had dulled Tamako's memories significantly. But at the sight of Sasuke who wore a face she hadn't seen since her genin days and Naruto's shit-eating grin, it hit her.

"Oh god." She whispered out, watching the seven clones transforming with more smoke than necessary. Possibly even wasteful.

"Sexy Jutsu: Reverse Harem Jutsu!"

Seven very good looking, very naked, men appeared in a flash, showing off their parts with both smirks and smiles alike. There were obnoxious sparkles and a light pink background that appeared, hearts floating around them as Kaguya dead-panned stared back in silent shock.

The Jutsu lasted long enough to have each part ingrained in your mind, but not long enough to let one get used to it. They disappeared in puffs of smoke and Naruto came flying by, throwing a punch straight at Kaguya's face and throwing back the Goddess several hundred meters.

Sakura beside her nearly fainted in both embarrassment, heat and lewdness of it all.

Tamako could feel her cheeks warmth, from lava or the jutsu, she'll never admit and clenched her hands. She most certainly didn't want to tell anyone that Naruto's stupid pervy Jutsu was going end up saving the world.

They'll never let her live it down.

Well, Sasori might.

"This is the history of shinobi, ya fool!"

Don't tell Kaguya that your pervy jutsu sums of the history of shinobi!

Both Kakashi and Itachi seemed to share her thoughts, with both sporting an equally shocked look and mirroring sweat-drops.

Just before the two could seal her, everything froze and turned ice-bitingly cold.

"It changed!"

"This place... did we shift dimensions again?"

"To be able to rewrite the world in an instant and make it reality... this really is just like genjutsu."

"I can ensure that this is no genjutsu, but reality." Itachi piped in. "This truly is a jutsu of a god-like being."

"Her dimension-hopping antics... think of them like Obito's kamui. She's able to escape through them—" Just as Tamako spoke, Kaguya entered one to escape the ice encasing her and both Naruto and Sasuke.

With a single seal, Tamako took ahold of the ice and crystalized it, shattering them into large chucks that the two took advantage, standing on top of the floating structures and desperately looking around to stop the Goddess.

"Then if it's like Obito's...! Not good!" Kakashi suddenly shouted, "She'll separate the two!"

Just like clock-work, Kaguya's hand entered her portal, grabbing Sasuke from the cuff of his clothes and dragged him into another dimension. Without any hesitation, she sent her Limbo through the portal to aid him.

And just like that, she felt the connect snap.

Being on different dimensions does that, apparently. Being of different planes of existence, it doesn't. What a strange ability.

"I sent my Limbo to Sasuke... but I can't feel her anymore..." Tamako trailed off, moving her formerly pierced arm back and forth, testing it's flexibility. "He'll be fine, and I'm no slacker when it comes to Taijutsu. We'll just have to force her to open up that same dimension."

With her final words, her hovering platform quivered at her chakra, zooming in closer to Naruto with Itachi close-by. As much as she wanted to bring the two others in the party, Kakashi needed to make sure each dimension change doesn't end up with Obito falling to his death and Sakura needed to conserve her chakra as much as possible. As must as Sakura's taijutsu could be an additional source of strength, she'll have to preserve chakra for fatal heals, and if it comes to it, being a battery. Her Seal was just too viable for her to use it up lining up attacks and the such.

While spamming [Observe], she spotted high concentration of Chakra to Naruto's side and quickly shoved him away, dodging Kaguya's arm that appeared thanks to her dimensional-breaking portal.

"You have good reflexes." Zetsu spoke out, his voice sounding like a sneer. "A thorn that's been squashed down. No matter how much you plan, there is no way of getting out of this."

"We need to find Sasuke." Naruto grunted out, eyes wide with worry. "If she sent him to that lava dimension..!"

"Calm down, Naruto. You need to think and fight with a clear mind. Kaguya won't kill Sasuke like that, she intends on taking chakra, so she'll leave him alive." Tamako leaned in closer, "We need to force her to open a portal to that very dimension."

"My Sharingan will be able to predict her movements for only so little. Her over-reliance on that dimensional jutsu overpowers my ocular abilities."

"What a mess this is." Tamako shook her head, patting the back of her neck. With her heighten senses, and [Observe], she could make out and compute nearly as fast as a three-tomoe Sharingan.

"Over there!" Naruto shouted, pointing at tumbling snow growing into a fierce avalanche.

"Just like old times, ne? This reminds me of Yuki." She clapped her two hands together and nearly embraced both powered snow and the sharp crystal spikes being thrown at them. One by one, the ice crystalized and fell apart into dust. "Try all you want, fusing with Nature." She pointed at herself. "Shinobi are infallible. Shinobi is to endure."

At her words, Kaguya finally peaked out of her Dimension, peering at her curiously, if not annoyed. "Then, I'll just have to take you head on."

She raised both of her hands and sent a pike their way.

Naruto body-blocked using his clones and the three watched in both equal amounts of horror and wariness at the sight of Naruto's kage bunshin disintegrating into dust. This was a one-hit death sentence.

"They're in?" She asked, panting. Obito had woken up thanks to Sakura's prodding around in his brain, and with half of his body made up of Hashirama cells, he was recovered enough to get up and moving.

"In." Naruto replied, dodging a blast of wind.

"Then we will buy them time." Itachi finished, slicing through a pike cleanly in half before breathing out fire to burn Kaguya's hair.

Kaguya cleanly absorbed the chakra without a twitch to her expression, sending several more pikes through Naruto's kage bunshin and started to gain considerable distance towards the Naruto with truthseeking orbs.

The three danced around Kaguya, dodging her lethal attacks and chakra infused fists alike. Every second that ticked by only reminded Tamako in how long they were fighting for. Three days of no sleep wasn't unusual for a shinobi, but to travel across several countries, fight in numerous fights had depleted both chakra and stamina no matter how hard she tried to conserve.

There was a dull pain in the back of her head, an emptiness in her core.

She was running out of fuel.

Her inventory was snapped away, most of her items either in some dimension that she couldn't access and her back-up scroll all but spread and depleted between Sakura and Obito.

It just took a fraction of second.

Darkness filled her vision as her eyes grew weak and blurry, and it was all it took.

"You are a pain."

Then a stab.

It wasn't the same feeling when Sasuke stabbed her all those years ago. Ice cold and hot, there was no sound of flesh sloshing at each tug and pull.

The flesh around the pike seemed to disintegrate and the pain woke her up.

"I'm... not done yet!"

She crystalized that part of the body, alongside the ash-pike, fusing it to her body and completely changing its molecular form and absorbed the chakra spent on the jutsu, isolating and containing it in a bubble of her own chakra before spatting out the Ōtsutsuki chakra through her mouth.

She could feel her organs struggling to maintain as Kaguya had essentially pierced through her left lung, just shy of her heart. With another surge of chakra, she formed a blockage of air to her left lung to ensure she didn't end up with pneumothorax, oxygen in her chest cavity and looked head on.

"Tamako!"

She waved them off, levitating her platform slightly away and behind dozens of kage bunshins'. "I'm fine." She heaved, body rattling with pain. "Damn it, I'm useless!"

Itachi quickly made it to her side, her Sharingan roaming at the damage. "You crystalized the entire infected part."

Tamako grinned back. "It's not pretty, but I'll live."

"If you don't get that fixed within—"

She quickly shushed him with a look. "I give myself a week tops. If we don't seal Kaguya, no one will have a week. Though..." She trailed off with a wince, breathing in deeply as her head began to swim. She wasn't getting enough oxygen. "... I'll be out of commission. For now."

Her crystal fell to the ground, now that her chakra was nearly depleted causing snow to rise from the impact alone. She didn't dare to cough.

With Itachi's mode of transport all but naught, it was all up to Naruto.

The Uchiha frowned, throwing her arm around his shoulder before lifting her up. "Ah..!" She grunted in pain as Itachi suddenly jumped to the side, dodging a pike.

"We can't stay idle."

Itachi quickly threw her into the air, slicing through another pike cleanly before catching her with both hands, hopping to the side of a cliff before shunshin to Kakashi.

"Senpai, please look after—" Itachi cut himself off and his eyes twitched, his head pivoting to the side lightning speed and his shoulder seemed to sag. "Sasuke..!"

Sasuke, alongside both Sakura and Obito, arrived to the scene with nearly no chakra. It was a miracle the two were up, let alone crouching.

As soon as those thoughts passed through her head, she felt an unbarring weight on her. She could barely hold herself with her weight that seemed to have increased by ten. The weight put searing pain on her upper chest as the already heavy crystal seemed to want to rip out of her skin and plop to the ground. In the corner of her eye, she could spot where crystal met flesh was tearing, blood pooling.

Kaguya was affected as well, falling to the ground as she struggled to raise both arms at Naruto and Sasuke.

Tamako inched forward, digging her elbow and knees to the ground. "Move, move dammit!" Her voice cracked at her own pitch, begging the two and herself to fucking move. Kaguya did not stop, her All-Killing Ash pikes grew from her palms.

Itachi was seemingly crawling to his brother, but they were just so far away.

Then Kaguya sent them, homing towards their only Hope.

"Dodge it, Sasuke!" Naruto screeched out, the two just barely throwing themselves to the side and landed as a heap to the ground.

Somehow, just somehow, Obito summoned enough strength to stand up and walk forward, a slow run, a seemingly slow-mo sprint.

"Itachi, you trust me, right?"

He barely nodded, his fist gripping into himself.

"Throw me!" She begged, "Just past the cliff down where they are— just do it!"

On command, he mustered the remaining of his chakra into his legs and arms, and threw her. She traveled only a short distance, clipping the edge of the cliff and plummeted down incredibly quickly. Time just seemed weigh her down equally as the pikes slowly made their way to the prone forms of Naruto and Sasuke.

Both Kakashi and Obito standing valiantly in front of them and a swirl of chakra, the same pattern as Obito's kamui opening in front of Kakashi.

Tamako has spent time on ensuring each and every member of Akatsuki, aside from three others, to live past their predetermined path.

Obito was no different.

And his sin was far larger than any of them all.

She was here to ensure he would repent.

"Don't you fucking dare, Uchiha Obito!" Her voice echoed and her last bit of chakra soared.

With the last bit she had in her, the pike headed towards Obito crystalized, falling to the ground in cloud of dust.

"You!" Zetsu shouted, his voice filtering out as her body made impact to the ground. Her ribs cracking and nearly splitting her head wipe open. "You! You! You! Mother, take her now!"

Kaguya cocked back her hand, ready to send one last pike and Sasuke quickly teleported using his Sharin-Rinnegan, a chidori covering his arm.

Forced to retreat, Kaguya instantly changed the dimension and Tamako could finally feel her body once again.

Limply, she could feel Itachi's Susanoo form pick her up and deposited her in the protective barrier. With both hands, he held onto her and spoke words she could hardly make out. Blearily, she could feel the clap of the wind snapping back and forth as Kaguya traded blows with Sasuke, Itachi and Obito. She could feel tailed beast chakra circulating all around them, homing towards Kaguya's whos chakra stuttered on impact.

With blurry vision, she spotted Kakashi sent souring through the sky, fazing through several attacks as Obito continuously applied Kamui onto his old teammate. The two had equally stupid grins and Cheshire eyes, and Kakashi landed his infamous Raikiri, slicing Kaguya before she could absorb.

Naruto and Sasuke appeared beside Kaguya, their arms stretched out to seal her. The Goddess coughed blood, her form rising above to dodge their attempts.

"Oh, no you don't!" Sakura screamed, cocking back her fist and landing a chakra-laced fist to Kaguya's head, snapping her horn in half and plunging the Goddess back into her teammates grasp.

Itachi shuffled his hold on her, his Susanoo pulling out some sort of Susanoo ninja wire and threw them. They snapped forward lightning speed, wrapping around Kaguya's lower body once and for all.

They've done it.

"B..lack Zetsu." Tamako whispered. "Don't forget."

Itachi tighter his hold. "Naruto-kun has it covered."

"Is that so?" She slurred out. "That's.. good."

Faintly, she could feel her chakra being called upon, as well as the comrades around her. The large mass of chakra around her could only mean that the Tailed Beasts were freed from Kaguya, and she could barely make out the sounds of Naruto and Sakura cheering, pulling in Kakashi and Obito into a group hug with Sasuke inching away. But she could feel the faint smile on his face.

What a bipolar Uchiha.

In a blink, their rowdy group found themselves back in their dimension, the reanimated Hokage's in a low crouch and summon seals littered about.

"Welcome home, guys."

Tamako sagged.

She'd done it.

They've done it.

"You've completed the task and returned to your world."

Her head twitched at the elderly voice, peering through her bangs.

"Through a Summoning performed by all prior Kage. I had called all of the previous Five Kage from the afterworld to help."

Tamako scoffed loudly, coughing into her fist as her lungs fired up again. "Hagoromo, can't you let the dead rest for once?" She left her hidden question left unsaid. What of me?

He smirked. "Tamako, Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, all of you... excellent work saving the world."

"Rikudo... are you by any chance the legendary..?" Kakashi trailed off, eyes wide.

"I am Hagoromo Otsutsuki, also known as the Sage of the Six Paths."

For some reason, it felt like Hagoromo was giving his second alias like they were playing an online game and he was telling them his main account. It gave her funny fuzzy feelings but at the same time, it could also have to do with the fact she was running on low oxygen.

"But never mind that, you, you have carved their way through history have created a bigger name than myself."

"Only someone like you could have summoned the dead Kage's of the past to summon all of us, and the tailed beast back."

Hagoromo raised an eyebrow. "Are you Hatake Kakashi?"

Kakashi blinked. "Oh... yes."

"Good job guiding everyone and sealing my mother away."

"Haah?" Obito sounded out, stepping forward with crossed arms. "Are you giving all the credit to Bakashi? It was his plan but it was ultimately my Kamui that landed that stunning blow on that Kaguya woman."

Hagoromo chuckled. "Despite that, it was the teamwork of all you that achieved this. That truly was the work of Gods."

Tamako coughed lightly. "That's great and all. I love teamwork as much as the next person but..." She trailed off, her hand slowly rising and wrapping around the extra appendage that had impaled her thanks to Hagoromo's mother. Then, she snapped it. "I still don't quite literally have my left lung, I'm also missing a chunk of my left chest so if you could spare Sakura some more yang chakra and fix me, I'll let your past transgressions slide."

Immediately, the group around them exploded in panic with Sakura nearly tripping over to get to the periwinkle haired girl.

She felt Itachi lay her down on her back as Sakura accessed the damage with a frown, her hands glowing green as the ball of chakra soothed back and forth down her flesh. Vaguely, she could feel parts of new flesh grow and raised an eyebrow. "That quick? Hagoromo you must feel much more apologetic that I first initially realized."

The ancient man merely chuckled. "There is no need for my chakra."

With surprise, Tamako glanced back and met viridescent green eyes, pitched in concentration. "I've only felt this one other time with Kakashi-sensei's eye but..." She trailed off, erasing the erosion and calcification-like damage Tamako had done to her own body. "... I think I can replicate it."

Internally, Tamako rolled her eyes. Of course Sakura picked up yang-chakra just like that. It's really not a surprise anymore, the girl was a literal walking medical prodigy. She mastered the Seal within three years unlike Shizune who couldn't master it within twenty years.

To say it simply, Team 7 was just extraordinary.

And as extraordinary people were, they were also extraordinarily crazy.

"Tamako." Sasuke took a few steps forward and looked down at her prone form. "Your promise is still valid?"

She gives him a nod.

"Then..." He turned away. "You understand why I want this."

"I understand, even if I don't disagree. It's a shame we don't share the same philosophy but..." She gave a tried smile. "As promised, I won't interfere."

"Then." He glanced up and stared down at the people in front of him like enemies, to his back, the people he needed to protect.

Itachi silently sat beside Tamako without looking. His eyes seemed much older and his stress-lines even more pronounced.

"First, before we release Infinite Tsukiyomi, I'm executing the current Five Kage."

"What did you just say, Sasuke..!?" Kakashi's pupils shrunk in surprise, eyes wide with shock.

"Oh, and..." Sasuke trailed off like he was listing his grocery shopping list. "All of you Bijuu... I'm putting you under my control."

These damn Uchiha were so dramatic.

"And eventually, I'll get rid of you as well."

"What!?" Kuruma growled, pulling his arm back and ready to turn Sasuke into a pancake before freezing at the sight of Sharin-Rinnegan. In a single glance, Sasuke had put all nine Bijuu into a genjutsu, stopping them from taking even a twitch forward.

His Ocular Prowess had exceeded them all.

"So, it ends like this..." Hagoromo sighed. "Perhaps I placed too much responsibility on you, Tamako."

She snarked out, "I did my part, don't go blaming me."

Hagoromo turned away. "Yes, perhaps I've relied on you to the point of exhaustion." He glances at Naruto with a serious face. "Naruto, it's all up to you. I cannot stay in this world any longer, and soon I will fade away."

She could hear the Drama from where she sat, Sakura anxiously fidgeting as both Naruto and Sasuke began to argue, their chakra shaking and the ground cracking. Tamako could understand, Sasuke was threatening to kill her Shishou.

What a bastard Sasuke was.

Then, the glowing stopped and Tamako slowly sat up with Itachi's careful touch. She patted Sakura on the shoulder with darker eyebags than her hair. "Thanks." She began to prod at her naked left side, feeling the soft pink flesh before diving her chakra down her body, tugging and tapping at her insides carefully and was sufficiently surprised at little to no reflecting damage. With a final tug to her nearly destroyed cloak, she threw it on like a poncho for some modesty.

The ground shook at Sasuke's Chibaku Tensei, chunks of the ground rising and slamming into the Tailed Beasts, forming smaller planet-shaped orbs and effectively trapping them.

Again, Sasuke was the most dramatic person she's ever met.

He began to sprout ideas of destroying all Tailed Beast Chakra, which included Naruto as well. That he'll let the Beasts live for now, that they weren't required to release Infinite Tsukiyomi.

In Sasuke's ideal world, there were no massive chakra nukes walking around that could be used to threaten anyone or anything. He'd seen the massive destruction and the temptation to take such power for oneself. Hell, he's fell for temptation before.

"Sasuke!" Obito rasped out, now completely out of chakra after one too many kamui's and Susanoos. "You'll be making the same mistake as I have."

Tamako understood him. But that doesn't mean she agrees with him. Nukes should've never been in this world, but despite it all, despite thinking they've defeated the biggest threat that could fall onto this world. There were threats in the sky they still didn't understand. These Nukes could help them in that fight.

Before she could step forward and reason, possibly even break her promise and his trust, Sakura stepped forward. Tears in her eyes, fists clenched.

"You..!" She began, fists pounding to the ground and leaving soft fractures. Her inability to act or change his mind with power alone, she knew. That Sasuke had reached a power threshold only Naruto could meet. "I know that there's nothing within my power I can do to stop you. That I can't exchange blows with you so that you can see me! But... but if there's even a little corner of your heart that remembers our past, Team 7's past..!" She sobs. "If we stick together, I just know it can be like the old times. Please don't leave. Please don't kill Tsunade-shishou. Please don't leave a future that has yet to begin..!"

Sasuke stops in his steps and tilts his head to the side. His eyes round to the corner of his lids and there's a pathetic smirk on his face. "You're..." His eyes narrow. "...really annoying." His eyes flash open once more, sinking Sakura into a sweet Genjutsu of his creation, lulling her to sleep.

"You didn't have to put Sakura-chan into a Genjutsu, you bast—!"

"—If I didn't." Sasuke interrupted, his eyes narrowed once again. "She'd wouldn't chased after us and gotten away in our fight." He leaves his statement open, and just a hint, Tamako could feel his meaning. That Sakura would've thrown herself between them if it meant they wouldn't kill each other. To sacrifice herself, just as she did all those years ago at the roof of the hospital. Except this time, there wouldn't be an older, wiser and stronger Kakashi to stop them.

It will only end in death.

Kakashi lunged forward and caught her prone body, cradling her close to his chest. "Sakura... Sakura only wanted to help you... all this time."

"What are you suggesting, Kakashi? That I enjoy a little romance?"

Tamako groaned quietly, slouching back into Itachi who kept a poker-face at his brother's claims. Just like her, he promised to not interfere, he owed it that much to Sasuke whom he forced hardships. "Oh my god.. Sasuke..!" She held the back of her palm to her forehead, rubbing away the stress that only continued to build up.

"Sakura's not trying to make you hers." Kakashi almost began to plead. "She just want's to help you! All this time, she's tried to clear your name.. the Uchiha name!" He shook his head. "It was Sakura to discover the files of the Massacre and yet... you tried to kill her. But she still thinks of your welfare, sheds tears for your wellbeing..." Kakashi looks up, one last time, eyes tensed up. "Because she suffers from caring for you, loving you!"

Sasuke closes his eyes.

And thinks.

Reminisces.

Then finally, he opens his eyes, closing that one last final memory. "Perhaps those are ties to a lost past."

And disappears.
