"Excuse me, do you need a hand with that?"

You turned at the sound of a voice, straining to look over the pile of boxes you were carrying. You strained a bit too hard however, and the makeshift tower began to tip, the box at the top slipping from your hold. You flinched, waiting for the inevitable crunch of the box hitting the ground. When the crunch never came, you managed to look around your armful of boxes to find a handsome man looking back at you. Bushing all the way to the roots of your hair, you stuttered out a small 'thank you'.

The man smiled. "No worries, you looked like you needed some help." He put the box against his hip and held out his free hand. "My name's Yamato, you must be my new neighbor." You stared at his outstretched hand, trying to figure out how to maneuver your boxes to shake it. Realizing what he had done, he pulled it back, rubbing the the back of his neck as his expression turned sheepish. "Ah right, your hands are a bit full right now, sorry."

"It's alright." You said, the corners of your lips pulling up into a smile. "Thanks for helping, I'm _. Would it be too much trouble to ask you to help me move in the rest of my boxes?"

"Not at all," Yamato shook his head. "It's the least I could do. We're going to be neighbors after all."

In no time at all, you had moved in the remainder of your boxes, the two of you stood in the doorway slightly out of breath. Yamato had his hands on hips, breathing heavily. "What on earth were in those last few boxes?" He asked. "Bricks?"

You laughed and shook your head, wiping the back of your hand across your brow. "Books." You corrected. "I'm an interior designer. We have no shortage of them."

Yamato raised an eyebrow. "An interior designer? What company do you work for?"

"I used to work for Andrew Steele Interior, but Monday will be my first day at TK Studios." You explained, leaning against the wall. Yamato shook his head incredulously.

"No way."

You gave him a look. "What?"

"I'm an architect. TK Studios is my company. We just hired a new interior designer for our team."

Your jaw dropped open. "No way!"

Yamato chuckled. "That's what I said."

"It's gotta be a coincidence..." You said, running a hand through your hair. "That can't be possible."

Yamato shrugged, a grin on his face. "You seem to fit the description. Besides, the world works in mysterious ways." His gaze turned to the interior of your apartment, cautiously scanning all the boxes the two of you had brought in. "You don't have any more boxes full of books, do you?"

You smirked. "What's wrong, are my books too heavy for you, old man?"

"Watch it. This old man is your new boss."

Yamato gave you the most serious face he could muster before you both broke out into laughter.

Yamato's eyes twinkled with amusement before his lips turned upwards in a mischievous grin. "Would it be terribly rude of me as your neighbor to ask you out for coffee?"

You shook your head, making a dramatic show of pressing your hand to your chest. "As your neighbor it would be terribly rude of me not to accept."

Yamato laughed, a rich and deep sound that made your heart beat just a bit faster. "You probably want to get started unpacking all your things. I'd hate to take you out before you've properly even settled in." He said. "How does four 'o clock tomorrow afternoon sound?"

"Perfect."

"Then I'll see you tomorrow, and _?"

"Yes?"

"It's a date."

You stood there speechless, face redder than a tomato when Yamato winked and excused himself, saying something about 'forgetting to check the mail'.

Once you had recovered from your moment of shock, a smile formed on your face, realizing that you too had forgotten to check the mail.

What a coincidence.
