Set after Libera Te. The Crew of the Lewis and Clark may have escaped, but their problems are far from over. They need time to rest, and to heal, and maybe even to process what happened. Rated M just in case and so I can do what I want.

Miller needs a trauma surgeon. His general medic already has someone in mind, assuming the man can figure out how to get along with the rest of the crew for the next three months.

Miller and his crew have a job to do, but as one disaster after another hits, and his crew keep acting more and more out of character, the captain of the Lewis and Clark is left wondering why all this seems so familiar, and why his medical team seem to have lost all hope.

Years before he became a captain, Miller is sent on a mission to rescue a group of hostages. When things go sideways, he makes the acquaintance of a young man in terrible shape, and has a choice to make that may endanger them all. Rated for language, violence, and mentions of torture.
