Chapter 8
After waiting for a few more minutes, Natasha then heard some footsteps and knew that Dr. Faustus was on his way back again.
She wasn't in the bedroom but she was well-hidden in a corner so she wouldn't be hypnotized twice.
Then she heard Claire and Laura pretending to seduce Faustus and they were having a chat about small talk.
After she waited long enough, she heard a whack and when she turned to look back into the bedroom, Dr. Faustus was fully knocked out. She then moved to the cockpit of the plane to wait and soon enough Laura had the pocket watch and gave it to her.
"Natasha, we found the pocket watch." Laura said.
"Great." Natasha said with confidence. This time, her plan seemed to be working. Now she just needed to fly them all back to New York.
When Natasha returned to the bedroom she could see Doctor Faustus unconscious and tied up. Everything indicated that he was going to remain that way until they returned to New York. The good thing was that she now had the pocket watch and also documents about the location of Hydra's base and the activities that the organization carried out. She had also discovered evidence in Faustus' office that identified him as the person responsible for all the crimes he had committed, even those that Natasha herself had hypnotized. Now she could clear his name.
Returning to New York was easy since she had experience piloting. She had to hand Faustus over to the police so that all his victims would be declared innocent.
For that she needed Laura and Claire. She felt sorry for them, but she still needed them hypnotized if she wanted her plan to work. So while the plane flew over the ocean, Natasha briefly put the autopilot on to talk to the two sisters. She found them in the bedroom, sitting with their arms outstretched and looking straight ahead. Now that Natasha had the watch there was no need to pretend she was hypnotized. She held the watch in front of the two girls, sending hypnotic waves into their minds.
Natasha began her instructions: "Girls, when the plane lands it will be intercepted by the police. I will have escaped before the police can get in, but you will remain here with Dr. Faustus, the pocket watch and all the evidence that proves he is behind the robberies. When the police arrive you will tell the police everything you did while you were hypnotized and you will give the police the pocket watch and the evidence. Once Dr. Faustus has been put behind bars, you will wake up from your trance with no memory of what you experienced while hypnotized." The two girls nodded, as Natasha returned to the cockpit to try to land the plane at the New York airport.
