Set between Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers: Age of Ultron. When Natasha discovers a hypnotist who can control peoples' minds with a mysterious pocket watch, Natasha thinks that the watch is more than just a watch and goes on a mission to get it.

9. Chapter 9

Chapter 9

After the plane had arrived, Natasha then landed it at the airport. Sure enough, there was the sound of sirens as a convoy of police cars came.

But Natasha already had a plan and she got out by shooting out the window with her pistol.

Then she jumped out and landed perfectly on the floor without falling as the window's fragments rained down around her.

She then took cover in a darkened area of the airport, then she watched as the police officers approached Laura and Claire who exited out the plane.

To her relief, the plan worked and Laura and Claire told the police officers everything about her recent mission from being hypnotized and to Natasha joining them which led up to this moment.

Natasha then went over to the parking lot and climbed silently onto a truck leaving for the city.

As soon as she was near the closest skyscraper, she grappled to it using her suit and got to a roof where no one could see her.

Now she only had one last thing to do.

She had to tell her Avenger friends but she also had to tell Nick Fury because he was the first one to know about the Hydra agent.

She then turned on her suit's communicator and now she just had to wait for Fury to answer her call.

Fortunately for her, Fury was aware of everything, assuring her that her name was clear and that no security agency was after her. He also told her that once she had sent him the information about the Sokovia base, he began to investigate and it was much worse than she thought.

In the last few hours, energy pulses had been detected and they had discovered that Hydra possessed Loki's scepter and were experimenting with it. Even though this was already Hydra's last base, if they accessed all of its power they could reemerge. They needed to call in the entire cavalry. Only the entire Avengers could stop this. Natasha prepared to contact her entire team again. If they assaulted this base, she could close this last episode of her life. She did not suspect that this mission was going to be the beginning of a new crisis worse than the Chitauri invasion.
