Hi Readers: And welcome back to another new story I hope to write for you guys. In fact, you already knew the story due to the fact that this story is a re-write of The Caseys…with a few changes.

Changes

Before we begin this new adventure, I've decided that I want to let you guys know about a couple changes which I've decided to institute at the start of this story. Hopefully, I'll be able to write them at some point in the storyline; but, if I forget to write them, I've decided to let you know about some of them right now so that you're aware of them when you read the story from the start.

With Regards to the End of Season 6: In the previous version of this story, Gabby gave birth to their twin boys in April of 2019. However, I've decided that, in this story, Gabby will not have an aneurysm; therefore, there was no need for her to wait to get pregnant. Instead, she learned that she was pregnant when she went to visit the doctor in the two-part season finale. That means that Gabby was already pregnant way back then, meaning that she was due to give birth in November, which is precisely what Gabby did, when she gave birth to her and Matt's now week-old daughter Bella Grace Casey. Though, she will not have a twin, unlike her father.

A new brother for Matt: I've decided that this story will include Andy this time around, who will be Matt's twin brother; therefore, there will be three Casey siblings: twins Matthew and Andrew Casey, as well as their sister Christie. Three siblings who each inherited $2.9 Billion at the start of the story. Yes, I've also decided that the wealth will be in the story from the start; in fact, that's the entire reason they'll be able to live where they're going to live: in a Chicago penthouse, downtown, overlooking the lake with a great view. Then again, no view can truly surpass the sight of Matt's adorable baby girl. But, back to Andrew. Yes, he's alive and is Matt's twin.

Thank you for reading my story, and I hope you enjoy. Now, let's get on with the show.

Chapter 1

December 6, 2018 – Casey Penthouse, Chicago – Today marked precisely one week: one week since Gabby gave birth to their little girl, Bella Grace Casey; a name they chose for their newborn daughter as she's absolutely beautiful and a part of their family by the grace of God. Heaven knows that her parents have tried for the longest time to have a child of their own, including by way of adoption; yet, it just hasn't worked for them yet. That is, until now; until now, when they finally have everything they've ever wanted in life: each other and a family of their own. After all, Matt and Gabby were now parents, which is everything the two of them have ever wanted. Matt just wishes that he didn't get some other news this week, which has truly changed his life forever. That news? First, his grandparents died in a major fire (which he responded to a month ago on his last shift with Firehouse 51).

Then, he learned that his grandparents were wealthy, and that they left each of their grandchildren an inheritance of $2.9 Billion, which is an equal part of their $8.7 Billion estate, more on that on a moment. After all, two times $2.9 billion is $5.8 billion, not $8.7 billion. Well, that's the part which truly surprised Matt when he learned this news: the news that he was inheriting some money, just like his sister Christie, as well as his long-lost twin brother Andrew Darden. Yes, the same Andrew Darden who was his best friend; the man who made him the godfather of his sons, was also his twin brother. A brother who he was separated from at birth, only to reunite with him later on in their childhood when they became childhood playmates. After which, they joined the fire department, and even worked together on the same truck; that was, until Matt decided to quit due to the money he now has, and his little girl.

After all, if he didn't need to work around dangerous fires for a living (like the one that took his and Gabby's home away from them earlier this year), then that most certainly is what he was going to avoid doing; and now, he was safe. And not just right now, but for the rest of his life; something Gabby was quite happy about as she cuddled up to him this morning and wrapped her arms around his muscular torso, a torso which he's been working on. And damn, did Gabby love the feeling of her husband's toned body right against her chest; it was perfect, just like the way he was holding her this morning on the occasion of their second wedding anniversary. And the way he was holding her was truly perfect, as she was incredibly comfortable as she cuddled up to her loving husband; the man she finally made him a father. "Good morning daddy." Matt smiled as Gabby said that, only to wrap his arm around her.

After which, he tugged her body right against his chest and smirked because of how truly happy he was right now. This was exactly what he's always wanted in life: to be a husband and a father, to the most amazing woman in the entire world, as well as their child. "I hope you know that I don't need another anniversary gift from you, as I have everything right here with me. You and Bella are everything I need." Gabby agreed with her husband as he told her that, only to slip her legs in between his. "I'm sure that I can think of something else you want to have on our anniversary." She said, while pushing herself against his manhood; something which made Matt moan, as that was such a turn on. Though, they couldn't do that for very long due to the fact that they had other priorities. More specifically, they had to prioritize her recovery, as well as Bella. The last thing either of them needed right now was sex.

So, he decided to make sure that Gabby knew that she needed to calm down. "Hey, baby. Calm down and take it easy with the sexual advances. The last thing we need is for you to go overboard." Placing her hand on the side of his face, Gabby smiled as she stared into his eyes. "Matt, we both know that you liked that." Matt agreed as he slipped his arm under her head, only to wrap his other arm around her back and place his hand on the back of her head. "Of course, I love the feeling of your body pressed against mine. It's so sexy, and you know that I love it more than anything. But, you need to rest right now baby. You just gave birth to our little girl." Gabby agreed with Matt, well aware that was the case. "Speaking of our little girl, do you mind checking her baby monitor? She's quiet." Matt agreed as he leaned in and kissed Gabby softly, only to roll over so that he could grab the baby monitor he had on his side of the bed.

After which, he went to check on it and smiled because of how adorable his little girl looked right now; so much so, that he was tempted to take a picture of how adorable she was and send it to Andy. After all, his brother has always wanted a daughter; and now, he has a daughter. "God, she's so damn adorable and perfect." Matt said, as he rolled over in bed and cuddled up to Gabby as he gave her the baby monitor. "Just like you." Looking at Matt as he said that, Gabby shook her head. "Calm down. You aren't getting shit, daddy." Matt shook his head, as he didn't need anything from her while she was recovering. "You're recovering baby, so I don't need anything from you. I promise." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, well aware that was the case. "Though, I can't help but wonder if you need something from me, like breakfast?" Gabby smiled as Matt asked her that question, as she did need breakfast.

But right now, she just wanted to cuddle up to her man. "Right now, I just want you to stay here and hold me in your arms." Matt agreed with Gabby, as that was something he could do for her; though, that didn't mean that they weren't going to be disturbed. In fact, as Matt moved his hand to the back of Gabby's head and leaned in to kiss her again, he heard his phone ring. Taking a breath, he sighed as he looked at his gorgeous wife. "Go ahead." Matt nodded as Gabby said that, only to press his lips to her forehead. After which, he rolled over to check just who dared to bother him right now. And as he went to go grab his phone, he sighed when he saw who it was: Andy. "C'mon, why must you be the one who calls me?" Gabby was confused when she heard Matt say that. "Who's calling?" Matt sighed. "Andy. We both know that he won't stop until I answer." Gabby nodded, as she knew that was true.

And even though she wishes that wasn't the case, she understood why Matt had to answer. "Make sure that you remind him that it's our anniversary." Matt smiled as Gabby said that. "Or, I can talk to him while I go make you breakfast?" Gabby smirked, as that sounded great. "Can you make me an omelet? I'm hungry." Matt agreed with his wife and smiled, only to lean in and kiss the woman he loves this morning. "I love you. Happy two years." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, only to place her hand on his face. "You're buying me a honeymoon as an anniversary gift." Matt laughed, as he figured she'd say that. So, as he got up and walked over to his dresser to get some sweats, Matt smirked as he turned to look at the woman he loves. "Oh, I plan on taking you on a nice honeymoon next year, I promise." Gabby sighed as Matt said that. "Before you go ahead with your plans you mentioned?"

Turning around to look at Gabby when she said that, Matt smiled; after all, that's something he most certainly wants to do. "Hey. Those plans that I mentioned to the others, they're not my priority. I have other plans first." Gabby was confused as she heard Matt say that. "You do?" Matt agreed with his wife as he opened his dresser drawer and reached in to grab some sweats, only to turn around and look at Gabby once more as he put them on. "I'm taking you on a honeymoon when we get that traditional winter blast of snow at the end of February. We can get out of here and be in the warm when winter gives Chicago one last storm." Gabby smiled, as she liked the sound of that: the two of them on a vacation; or, will it be the three of them. "Wait, would it just be the two of us? Or would we bring Bella with us?" Gabby smiled, as she liked the sound of them going alone. "We could give your brother his dream."

Matt shook his head. "I'm scared he'll forget to give her back to us if we ask him and Heather to watch her." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, only to watch him walk over to his closet to grab a shirt. "Awe, do you really have to wear a shirt? You're such a turn on when you're shirtless." Matt smiled as Gabby said that, well aware that she loves it when he's shirtless. "I promise, you're going to get me shirtless most of the day, as I'm going to want to get some skin-to-skin contact with my princess." Matt said as he made his way over to Bella whilst putting his shirt on. "I think you mean, your queen?" Matt shook his head as he walked up to the crib this morning, only to look down at his beautiful daughter. "No, I mean my princess." Matt said as he looked down at Bella. After which, he proceeded to rub her head and just smirked. "You want me to bring her over to you so that you can feed her?" Gabby agreed with Matt. "Let me sit up first."

Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, only to turn his head and watch her sit up; after all, he wants to make sure that she does it slowly. "Ok. Just take it easy, babe." Gabby looked at Matt when he said that. "Baby, it's already been a week. I don't need to be as careful anymore." Matt smirked when Gabby said that, only to have her put a stop to what he was thinking about. "Don't you dare think about it. We aren't having sex." Matt agreed with Gabby as he picked Bella up in his arms and held her against his chest. After which, he pressed his lips to her forehead. "Not even on Christmas?" Gabby laughed. "We'll see what we do. After all, we may be hosting Christmas." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, only to make his way over to the woman he loves with Bella this morning. After which, he proceeded to lay her down in his arms. "There we go little girl, time for you to get a feeding."

Gabby smiled as Matt laid Bella down on her chest, only to reach for his hand. "Promise me that you stay shirtless?" Nodding, Matt proceeded to walk over to his side of the bed once more. "Hey, you forgot to do something." Matt snickered, as he knew precisely what Gabby was talking about: she was talking about him not giving her a kiss. "Don't worry, I'm coming to do that right now." Gabby agreed with Matt as she watched him grab his phone. "Just need to grab my phone so that I can call Andy." Gabby agreed once more, as she knew that he was going to do that. "You love that he's your twin brother, don't you?" Matt agreed as he walked around their bed and smirked as he leaned over his gorgeous wife, only to place his hand on Gabby's neck as he kissed her softly. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt, as she loves him too. "I love you too." Smiling, Matt turned his head to look at Bella.

After which, he pressed his lips to her forehead and smiled. "Daddy loves you too, baby girl." Matt said as he admired his little girl, only to stand up to make his way back over to his dresser so that he can put some deodorant on. At the same time, he turned around to look at the woman he loves. "You want me to grab you one of my shirts?" Gabby nodded, as that was precisely what she wanted him to do: grab her one of his shirts. More specifically, one of his flannels. "Can you grab me one of your nice flannels and some of my short shorts from my dresser?" Matt agreed, as that's something he most certainly can do for his wife. So, he proceeded to walk into their closet to get precisely what Gabby wants to wear: one of his nice flannels and some short shorts; after all, he wants her to be comfortable as they hold each other close and just take it nice and easy with each other in the comfort of their bed.

Coming out of their closet after getting everything Gabby wanted this morning, Matt smiled as he walked up to their bed with it; after which, he looked at his gorgeous wife. "Are you going to be okay while I go make breakfast?" Turning her head to look at Matt, Gabby snickered as she was going to be fine. "Baby, I'm going to be fine. You've got nothing to be worried about." Matt shook his head, as that'll never be the truth. "I will always worry about you and Bella." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case as she watched him walk over to his side to grab his phone once more this morning. "Let me guess, you're going to call Andy while you're making us breakfast?" Matt agreed with Gabby, as he needed to do just that. "I want to make sure that he knows that we're not taking guests today. Today, it's just me and my girls." Gabby agreed with Matt, as she would hope that it'd be.

After all, it is their wedding anniversary. "I'd hope so. It's our anniversary." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, as it most certainly is their anniversary. And since it's their anniversary, that's precisely why he didn't want anybody to disturb them. "Nobody is going to disturb us, not even your mom if she wants to come over and meet Bella." Gabby pouted when she heard Matt say that. "Hey. I can't invite my brother over, then you can't invite your mom or brother over. After all, we both know that your brother will come too if you invite your mom over." Gabby snickered, as that was the truth; if her mom came to see them and Bella today, then her brother would come. And that was the last thing Matt needed. "And believe me, that's the last thing I need when Andy is going to want to come and try to hold her. He's still trying to convince Heather to let him have another chance at having a daughter."

Gabby shook her head when she heard Matt say that, as she figured that Andy was doing that. "I swear, that guy is relentless." Matt smirked when Gabby said that. "You can say the same thing about yourself, as you never gave up home that you'd be with me." Gabby laughed. "No, that was me doing you a favor. May I remind you that she didn't want to give you a baby?" Matt agreed with Gabby, well aware that was the case. "Right, of course." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. "Ok. Let's get off the topic of your ex and concentrate on us again, because it's our second anniversary." Nodding, Matt agreed with Gabby as he proceeded to sit down on the edge of their bed, only to put his hand next to her on their bed. After which, he moved closer to the woman he loves and smirked as he leaned in and kissed his gorgeous wife softly. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt, as she loves him too.

And today, they're just going to take it easy and relax as they hold each other close and take it easy. "Today, all I want to do is take it easy and relax with you." Matt agreed with Gabby. "Maybe we can have some of those conversations we haven't had yet." Gabby laughed. "You mean, the godfather conversation." Matt smirked. "You said that you wanted it to be family." Gabby groaned as she heard Matt say that, as she was just waiting for him to say something like that. "I swear. It's like the Gods had to burn me with that. I say that I want the godparents to be family, and now Andy is your brother." Matt smirked as Gabby said that, only to get up and place his hand on the side of her face. After which, he bent down and kissed her cheek. "I need to return the favor to Andy for at least one of our kids. I promise, there's always the next kid." Gabby smiled as Matt said that, as that was something she liked to hear.

The next kid. "I promise, I'll try and give you a boy next time." Matt shook his head when he heard Gabby say that. "Please, don't say stuff like that baby. When I hear you say stuff like that, it makes me believe that you feel like I'm disappointed over the fact that you gave birth to a daughter; when that couldn't be further from the truth, as all I wanted was our little girl." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I know that." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that and smiled, glad that she knew that; after which, he turned his head and looked at Bella, only to stroke the back of her head this morning. "God, she's so adorable." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, only to smile as she heard what he said next. "And the best anniversary gift you could ever give me." Gabby then went to make a joke. "Well, technically, you gave it to yourself since you got me pregnant."

Matt smiled as he continued the joke. "Then maybe I should thank myself." Gabby shook her head as she heard Matt tell her that, as that was the last thing he was going to do. "You do that, then you get a week-long punishment after I'm cleared for sex." Matt got nervous as he heard Gabby say that, as that was the last thing he wanted. "Oh, that's the last thing I want." Gabby agreed with Matt, well aware that was the case. "Then, how about you do me a favor and go make me some breakfast as you talk to your brother?" Matt sighed as Gabby said that, only to look at his wife. "I swear, it's still surreal for me. I mean, Andy? My twin brother." Turning her head to look at Matt, Gabby was confused. "Do you want to do a DNA test?" Matt shook his head. "No, I believe it. It's just…you know, how can it be that we never knew? We worked at the same firehouse, but we never figured it out until now."

Gabby agreed with her husband. "I mean, it'd be like finding out that Shay was your sister." Gabby then thought about it and realized just how Matt was feeling right now. "Yeah, I get how you're feeling right now." Matt sighed. "I want him to join us for Christmas." Gabby agreed with Matt, as that was something they could tell him. "Hey, of course, he can join us for Christmas." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, only to get closer to her and smirk as he leaned over the woman he loves. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt, as she loves him too. "I love you too. Now, how about you go make me some breakfast? Maybe put a shirt on in case someone drops by, as we know that your brother isn't going to want to stay away when he can meet his niece." Matt shook his head. "Today is our day to be alone with each other. If someone comes to the door, then they'll be left in the cold and can leave."

Gabby agreed with Matt. "Can you make sure to tell your mom that? I know, it's rude…but, I just want it to be us as we celebrate our second anniversary. After all, we did have a hard year." Gabby sighed, as that was the truth. "All the while, we were also dealing with a pregnancy." Matt smiled as he reached for Gabby's hand, only to stroke it with his hand. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt, as she loves him too. "I love you too. Now, breakfast and call your brother to tell him that we want a day alone." Matt agreed with his gorgeous wife, only to get up so that he could walk away and go downstairs to make some breakfast for him and Gabby.
