"Okay. So what about this? 'People of Konoha. Remember when granny had to go on hiatus? She kind of lost it, so I have been unanimously voted in to take her place.'"

Sasuke looked at Naruto from across the Hokage's office and rolled his eyes. His arms were crossed over his chest as usual and he frowned at Naruto. "Be serious. You're telling these people that they're getting a new Hokage out of the blue. You're telling them to not question it, and to remain calm. To continue about their life as usual. You have to take this serious."

Naruto matched Sasuke's face and huffed. "I am being serious. Do you think I sound unsympathetic too sensei?" He looked at Kakashi, who was standing beside Sasuke with his hands in his pockets. Kakashi arched his brow at Naruto and gave him a look that said he couldn't believe Naruto DIDN'T think he sounded insincere.

The paper Naruto had wrote his miniature speech on, he crumbled it up and tossed it across his desk. "This sucks. What the hell am I supposed to say? 'People of Konoha. Tsunade Senju will no longer be your Hokage. I will be your Hokage, and she will be retiring. Don't ask me any fucking questions, and don't talk shit back or I'll obliterate you, and your family.' Like seriously! What am I supposed to say?!"

Kakashi and Sasuke looked at one another before they looked at Naruto. Kakashi shrugging his shoulders. "Just say that."

"I agree. That's all that needs to be said." Sasuke nodded his head and shrugged his shoulders as well. It was rare he agreed with Kakashi, but honestly, Naruto stressing over a fucking speech to tell a village he was taking over was ridiculous.

Pick up your balls man.

Naruto blinked. Completely thrown off that the two came in unison to basically tell him he was being a big ass baby. Typically, Sasuke grew annoyed with Kakashi. Sasuke never really clicked with Kakashi's leadership style and personality. Naruto liked it. He understood people's personalities a little more than Sasuke.

Sasuke was an alpha. Yes, so was Naruto, but Sasuke didn't accept weakness. He didn't accept mental turmoil. He didn't even want to hear it from his own brother, and Itachi to this day could show Sasuke who was the lesser of the two. Still, Sasuke's personality was to frown upon people that quit on themselves and life. If he had quit on himself and life, Sasuke could see himself ending up like Kakashi and that BOTHERED him.

Typically when things bothered Sasuke. He got rid of it.

Naruto was fond of their sensei though. Naruto was an odd leader. He was strong, and he was ruthless. Far more than Sasuke, and Naruto had a temper to match. Even Sasuke didn't like being around Naruto when he reached that level of rage.

The big difference between Naruto and Sasuke, that made Naruto more of a threat, had everything to do with their true nature. Sasuke naturally didn't like a lot of people. So, him not getting along with Kakashi wasn't special. Sasuke could sit in a room, not like you, and you'd live to die of old age. Naruto wasn't like that. Naruto wasn't demented enough to have one altercation seal your faith.

However, if Naruto didn't like you, you were dead. There was no way around it.

The intimidating thing with Naruto was, you didn't know if he liked you or not. His mask was too perfect. Really only Sasuke, Kakashi, Neji and Hinata could read Naruto. It still proved to be difficult to them as well.

Naruto could see you today and smile in your face, and that night you'd wake up in a coffin being buried alive by him. He was ruthless and truly was the worlds most unpredictable ninja.

"Okay. I'll take your advice sensei. I mean, I think everything is coming along smoothly already. Boss man is due to come in the village this afternoon with Pain and Konan. By the way. How do you want to do that?"

Kakashi arched his brow as he turned to look at Naruto. Boss man? Oh. Obito. The fact Naruto refers to Obito that way is odd. It doesn't really suit Naruto's genuine personality. To Kakashi it seemed not authentic coming from Naruto. "I don't see myself needing to be around the Akatsuki 'family'. I can be elsewhere. You seem to have a grip on things just fine without me around."

Naruto held his hands up in defense. A light smile on his face. "Okay. Okay. I was just asking. No need to get all shitty with me. I'm just trying to figure things out. I need you and Sasuke the most right now. I'm trying to make cease-fire with all these villages. Create a time of peace. Trying to show Boss man, and the others that things are changing and that their trauma from the past, is no longer a reality anymore. Things are better and we aren't trying to kill each other anymore. So, excuse me while I try to focus on getting the publics acceptance without being violent."

Kakashi rolled his neck as he gave Naruto a dull look. "You don't have to try so hard. Just be who you are. You bulldozed your way in and became leader of Konoha. Trust me, you already have the following from majority of the village anyways. You're the lower class citizen, Naruto. You're proof that people in the slums can pull through and become something. Majority of the people from Konoha do not know the backstory that senior ninja's know about you. So, them seeing you become Hokage because Lady Tsunade grew 'ill', will give you a lot of popularity."

Naruto poked his bottom lip out and nodded his head slowly in understanding. He stared at his desk in a daze as he spoke. "Yeah. There are still Konoha ninja's that are rebelling against me. Talking behind my back. They don't like how I did things, and I think, that they think, they can take me down. I know for certain, from my intel that your good friend Guy is part of that rebellion."

Finally Naruto's eyes looked at Kakashi. At last showing that monster that Kakashi knew Naruto was. His eyes turning the deepest blue that almost appeared black. Like the bottom of the ocean. Many men have died in those deep blue trenches.

Sasuke watched the exchange between Naruto and Kakashi. Finally realizing Naruto was baiting Kakashi the whole time. Picking with him. This was the trait of Naruto's that Sasuke just couldn't have. The ultimate poker face. Not knowing when Naruto was being serious or not.

"Sensei. Guy was Neji's former sensei. Neji respects him, but Guy is busting his balls. Telling Neji that he housed an evil person, and that Neji is siding with the wrong side. It's upsetting Neji, he feels as if it's fucking with his character. Neji is a good guy. Seriously. He's quiet and has a mean mug, but he's a really fucking good guy. He's also my family. Guy is pissing off my family. You know what's worse? When Neji is upset, my Hinata is upset. Which makes me really upset."

Kakashi looked at Naruto's finger tapping on the desk. How it went from a regular fingernail, to a claw. A sharp, long claw. A chakra laced tail thumping on the floor, filling the room with a heavy thud sound, every time it flopped. Naruto looked at Kakashi with a smirk on his face, but Kakashi knew Naruto wasn't at all happy. "Do you think you could talk to Guy for me sensei? I don't want to be violent with someone that's precious to you."

Naruto leaned back in his chair and propped his feet on his desk. "You see. Mighty Guy is one strong fucker, but if he wants to fight me, he's going to have to be a bit more tactful. I'll make that bastard open all his fucking gates to even light a candle to me, and after that I'll see how long he can go with his maxed out gate. He better hope he kills me sensei, because if he doesn't-"

"This is all unnecessary. I'll talk to him. Don't worry about this rebellion. It'll be handled."

Naruto closed his eyes and gave Kakashi a cheeky smile, before opening his eyes again and them returning to his bright baby blues. "I knew I could count on you sensei! We're all family after all." Naruto and Sasuke watched as Kakashi left out the room. Not acknowledging the family comment.

Sasuke shook his head as he looked at Naruto. "Why don't you just give him the Tsunade treatment and stick him in a white room for a bit. Until he completely cooperates. Or just kill him. I vote for the second option."

Naruto stretched in the chair and got himself comfortable. "Sensei is too mentally strong for a white room. Granny was one bottle away from snapping anyways. There would be no point in putting him in that room. The man tortures himself enough mentally. Besides, people like him and granny, like I said, they all want to die. Look at him. The very thought of living in this world we're creating, it makes him sick. He's clinging to his ninja values so much he can't go against me, and that's what I use against him."

A very childish like grin covered Naruto's face and he covered his mouth as he chuckled. "You can practically see the steam coming out his ears. He's too honorable to go out like his dad though. That I know for a fact. So, he either wants a respectable death, or he wants to die of old age. I'm gonna let him live his life out. Plus, he keeps the others that are problematic in line. I can't just start off being Hokage and kill elite jonin. I'd lose the people, and Kakashi knows that. He's feeding me total bullshit. So, if I keep Kakashi close, and have him keep those rebellious bastards in line. I come out on top."

Naruto holds his hand out and forms a perfectly miniature Rasengan. Watching it glow in his hold. "They want to rebel against Kurama. Not against me. They don't SEE me, they see the jailer for the nine tailed fox. That's what they still see. Sensei is the only one to see me for who I am, that's why he's not fighting against me like they are. Those rebels, they see an untamed monster. Insulting me and Kurama. Treating us like we have no braincell."

The Rasengan turned from a bright blue, to a demonic black. "That's what makes them so lame. Such an easy target to overthrow and kill. Sensei knows me, and he knows that not only will I kill all those idiots in the rebellion. I'll chop them up in little fucking pieces and post their heads on steaks to scare off rogue ninja's. I'll hang them in front of the whole village. I'll rip their skin off their bodies, and make their wives lay it out like a bear skinned rug. I'll torture them, their friends and their families until I grow bored. Kakashi knows this, that's why he's going to fix this. He doesn't want to see his precious people tortured like that."

His Rasengan evaporated and Naruto gave Sasuke a manic smile. His close friend smirking as a reply. "You were fucking with him this whole time. Using him as your personal entertainment. Should have known you weren't getting soft. You were just blowing smoke with all that positivity and family talk."

Naruto actually pouted at the last statement. "Hey. We are family. Me, you, team seven, the Hyuga's, your brother. We're all family. Look at you. You're even getting close with one of Hinata's cousins. Like are you guys raw dogging yet?"

Sasuke rolled his eyes and made his way to the door. "Getting too sentimental for me Naruto." He locked the door and turned around to look back at Naruto. "Let's talk business. We talk family when we are home. Out of uniform. When this shit is all said and done."

He knew they were family. One big dysfunctional family, they didn't need to elaborate on it right now.

Plus, this was Naruto being a goof off. Still being silly from messing with Kakashi.

Naruto leaned back in his chair again and folded his hands behind his head while looking at the ceiling. "Fine. Let's talk."

"Obito coming with Pain and Konan. What's the plan? Actual unification? Is everything fine now?"

Sasuke sat in the chair on the other side of the oakwood desk. He looked at Naruto until Naruto gave him eye contact. "Seriously. Is everything fine? Or are you not fine. Don't just surprise everyone with some crazy shit last minute, and we have to end up fighting those three in our home village. People could die."

This was Sasuke's job. To reel Naruto back in when he was being too wild.

Naruto clicked his tongue against his teeth and went back to staring at the ceiling. "Everything is going to be fine. Pain is going to get here, and I'm going to talk to them. Offer him and Konan a home here, after they see the unification of all the villages. When they see all the peace, I'm sure it'll be a deal they wouldn't refuse. Me and Obito, we're family. We have a love-hate relationship, but I'm good now."

"Hn, because you got what you wanted finally." Sasuke leaned back in his chair and smirked at Naruto. His blonde haired friend smirked back at him. "I thought we weren't talking about family right now."

"Well, it's business too. The Hokage is about to wed the Hyuga clan leader. Nobody could miss that big flashy diamond you put on Hinata's finger. I'm sure Obito saw it from Amegakure. So what? He's going to be your best man?"

Naruto chuckled and shook his head. "No, but maybe he'll come back to Konoha to stay. Or maybe he'll build Amegakure back up and live there. I don't know. My goal is to show the big bad wolf that life is fine now, so he'll finally be at peace."

Sasuke was quiet as he studied Naruto. It can be so hard to get a genuine answer from this guy. "Okay. While all this lovey-dovey family bonding is going on. Where do you want me?"

Finally Naruto straightened up his posture and leaned forward to fully face Sasuke. He grinned at his close friend. Sasuke was family to him at this point. That much Naruto wasn't lying about, and family helps family out. "You won't be in Konoha when they get here. I need you somewhere else."

"Oh Hokage-sama. You looked very handsome during your inauguration. The people adored you. Tsunade-sama handing you over the title was beautiful."

Hinata stood in front of Naruto as she adjusted his cloak. The Sixth Hokage. Her fiancé was the Sixth Hokage of Konoha. "I always knew you could achieve your dreams Nar…I mean Hokage-sama. I am so proud of you."

Naruto pouted as he looked down at Hinata. She was wearing a pure white kimono that had a shimmer to it. Made out of the finest material that only a Hyuga could own. Naruto was mesmerized as usual, by her beauty. "Hinata. We're around family. You don't have to talk like that. Pfft. You don't have to talk like that ever."

She smiled. A reserved smile that a leader would give in a professional setting. Naruto and Hinata had two different leadership styles. Hinata's been groomed to be the old school type of leader since she was five. Serious, little to no smiling, command presence, always in control of the room. "Hokage-sama. I must."

Naruto resisted the urge to roll his eyes. Hinata was always going to be politically correct. She would never be caught lagging. Still, his eyes gazed down to her face. Her soft, delicate face. Such pureness in a tainted soul. He just didn't know HOW she could still pull off that look.

He cupped her face and bit his bottom lip as he looked down at her. Naruto didn't dress to match her. He wore a black V-neck, long sleeve shirt. Black cargo pants to match. His Hokage jacket was long and reached the back of his calves. The jacket was black as well, with white lettering and white hot flames on the bottom.

Naruto had kept his hair wild and untamed. Falling slightly into his face and long enough to go beyond the nape of his neck. Hinata loved his hair. It was so thick, and she loved fisting her hands in it. A guilty pleasure of hers. Naruto's ears were pierced. Two golden small hooped earrings, with a lighting bolt dangling off.

Naruto looked rather handsome, and his soon to be wife had fallen for his wicked looks a long time ago. His sharp fangs glistened as he smiled at her. The intensity he gave Hinata just off this look made her feel faint.

The fact Naruto knew he had this hold over her made it that much more alluring.

Not being one to hold back. Naruto kissed her. It was a quick kiss, but it was full and moist. Hinata could feel a little tongue and she wanted to engage more with him, but Naruto pulled away just as fast and beamed at her. Again biting his bottom lip, "I'm going to talk to Boss man and Pain. You stay with Konan and show her around?"

Hinata nodded her head eagerly and Naruto winked at her before kissing her forehead. Backing away from his fiancé to go handle other matters. "That's my girl."

Naruto looked at Neji, who was beside Hinata the whole time. The older Hyuga rolled his eyes, totally annoyed with the public display of affection. "We'll all meet up for dinner tonight? A lot of political talk can happen there. Until then, you'll be fine with Hinata?"

AKA, watch Hinata. Don't leave her alone with Konan.

Neji could read in between the lines. Things were at peace, yet they weren't. Naruto was still trying to see if the Akatsuki were really going to back down from their original plan. "Sounds good to me. Me and Hinata-sama will be giving Konan-san the utmost respectful time while she is in Konoha."

Neji smiled at Konan and respectfully bowed to her. "You will not forget your time here ma'am. You might even find Konoha welcoming. An 'at home' feeling."

Naruto smiled at Hinata as she left with Neji and Konan. Itachi stood next to Naruto as he turned to look at Obito and Pain. "Well. I have a schedule laid out for you two. We can go to the conference room first. Have a virtual meeting with all the village leaders. We'll talk about how we're going to be handling the time of peace. Everyone's roles. Take a look at some things being remodeled. Whatever you want to look at first Boss man."

Obito gave Naruto a pointed look at the name, "You were able to control Konoha without resorting to violence? By just overthrowing Tsunade?"

Naruto shrugged his shoulders as the group walked into the conference room. A giant media wall on display, waiting to connect to the joining villages. "You make it sound so easy. Granny apparently has been on my tail for some time. Tracking me and Sasuke's movements. So, I had to take her down first. I worked with Pain to keep Jiraiya out the village during this time. I planned for Konoha's heavy hitters to be absent from the village during my coup. A lot of thought and planning went into this. Just so it could go smoothly."

Naruto turned on the media wall and the Kages of the other villages appeared. Gaara, Killer B, and two other freshly appointed Kages that Naruto picked out himself. Obito frowned at the screen because he didn't know who the other two were. Plus, where was Cloud's original leader?

"Like I said, you make it sound easy Boss man. I may have handled Konoha one way, but the other villages I handled differently. How ya doing there B?!" While Naruto smiled, Killer B did not return the affection. Instead he just shook his head at Naruto. "You know you're messed up with what you did kid."

Naruto shrugged his shoulders and still smiled at the screen. "You were a better choice anyways. You'll thank me one day. You like the new scenery Gaara?"

Said person gave Naruto a poker face before he smirked at him. That was an obvious 'yes' from the sand ruler.

Naruto pulled out a chair for Obito to sit in, and once again the Akatsuki leader gave Naruto a pointed look. "Could you lay off with all the politeness. It doesn't suit you." Obito was used to that firecracker Uzumaki kid. The one that wanted to train until he couldn't stand anymore. The one that wanted to take on any side job to satisfy his unethical cravings.

This Naruto was…condescending.

Naruto rolled his eyes, and sat in the chair Obito was refusing to accept. Itachi sat beside Naruto and Obito sat in the chair across them. "Suit yourself Boss. I'm trying to be a mature adult with all of this stuff going on."

"Well it's unbecoming of you. Just be you." Obito said this and Naruto made eye contact with him. A playful grin coming across both males face. "Yeah? I can do that Boss."

Obito actually let out an amused laugh. Honestly. Konoha never looked so bright to Obito until right now. "I see Itachi. Where is his knucklehead brother that clings to your side?"

Naruto propped his feet onto the table and leaned back in his chair. Scratching his chin in thought. "Probably with Kakashi-sensei. Watching over him to make sure he's handling all of this okay. Sasuke handles the dramatics better than I do."

Sasuke was in fact not with Kakashi. He was not even in the village.

Sasuke was on the outskirts of Amegakure. In the hills. Hidden by trees, unruly terrain and nature. The young Uchiha was in his Anbu uniform and was making himself as invisible as possible. Why? He was looking for something. Actually he was looking for someone.

Sasuke left Konoha a few hours after talking to Naruto that day in his office. He left in search of the real body of Pain. Naruto wanted him to find Nagato, and give him an ultimatum. If he didn't take it, then Sasuke was to do everything in his power to kill him.

Easier said than done, but over time, Sasuke adapted many of Naruto's vindictive ways. His thirst for victory, and the vitals that are spilled to win. The two planned out this mission, and what Sasuke would do to be successful.

Sasuke traveled underground, with his summons, as long as possible. In silence. Believe it or not, the smell of a snakes mouth is not ideal. So, Sasuke was already put in a bad mood from hours of traveling that way. Reaching the hills and having to travel through all the sharp rocks and shitty nature. Sasuke finally discovered a cave that was occupied. One lone human body was in the cave and Sasuke, from a distance, was able to identify that being as Nagato Uzumaki.

Sasuke tilted his head as he looked at the fragile human. This was another Uzumaki. It was rather hard finding them in this world, when you did find them, you treated them with caution. They were all different personalities, yet, they all had a fuse with them. If you weren't knowledgeable about their enormous chakra reserve, you'd be caught off guard and easily overpowered.

Nagato had the chakra of an Uzumaki and the Rinnegan. He was a major threat, even if he was a crippled man. Nagato had years beyond himself and Naruto, yet Naruto trusted Sasuke with this task. How the hell was he supposed to do this without killing the guy?

Talk to him? Naruto wanted Sasuke freaking Uchiha to TALK someone into not killing them.

Priceless.

"Don't alert Obito." Nagato turned his head to the sound of the voice coming into his dwelling. Sasuke thought Nagato would look upset, but he didn't. He looked rather amused. Sick and amused. "Naruto lied. I should have figured as much. He said you were with Hatake."

Sasuke stood in front of Nagato with his arms crossed over his chest. "Do you think Obito believed him? Are you and Obito still planning to unleash the ten tails? Or try to kill Naruto?"

Sasuke watched Nagato carefully. His Rinnegan shined within the fire lit cave. "Do you even trust that Obito is loyal to you?"

Finally Nagato let out a tired laugh. He sounded so exhausted. "The fact I am not surprised by this ambush should tell you I trust no one. Only Konan. I have no clue what Obito has planned."

"So he still has plans? Why? Hasn't Naruto showed him enough? That the world is on the right path of changing." Sasuke frowned at this. He wished Naruto would knock Obito out of the equation of 'family'. The man was a liability and couldn't be trusted. He was too conniving.

Pot calling the kettle black, but Sasuke at least liked Naruto and his conniving ways.

Sasuke shook his head. He wasn't hear for Obito talk. "What about you? Do you really wish to cause any more harm to Konoha and the rest of the world? We should have shown you by now that we have everything under control. We can bring peace to the ninja world. Or at least force it."

Nagato closed his eyes as he slumped further in his uncomfortable position of being hoisted up in the air. "This isn't my battle anymore. I have overused myself to the point that I'm on the verge of dying anyways. My body is useless. I have enough in me either for one more major battle, or a few months left of living."

Sasuke wanted to rebuttal that maybe he just needed a good primary care doctor like his brother. Really a life as a rogue ninja left the body in shambles.

It wasn't his place to meddle though.

"That being said. The plan right now, how everything is designed out. It's up to Naruto and Obito. They'll hash it out and recreate the world the right way. Obito needs Naruto and Naruto needs Obito. They balance one another out. It's always been that way. Without Naruto, Obito is left vulnerable. He cannot pursue his plans like he envisioned with Naruto out the picture. Not now anymore. Akatsuki would take too long to rebuild. Obito would age out."

Sasuke nodded his head in agreement. That was the whole reason Obito started going with Naruto's plans and treating him as his equal. "Why does Naruto need Obito?"

Nagato opened his eyes and smiled at Sasuke. "Naruto Uzumaki is pure evil. Believe it or not. Obito has been the balance for Naruto. Ever since he's come into Naruto's life. Restricting Naruto's jobs. Taming Naruto to not unleash just yet on Konoha, and the rest of the world. It is a love-hate relationship Naruto has with Obito. Without Obito, Naruto is left unhinged. Could you imagine the world with a crazed man like that running it."

Sasuke clicked his tongue against his teeth as he thought his words over. "You wanted world domination. Obito wants to abolish the human race and make us live out our final days in a fantasy world. Feeding into a demonic monster. You two aren't the same. You more so fall in line with Naruto's goals. The Uzumaki's want to dominate."

Tilting his head, Nagato watched Sasuke. How he slowly approached him with an aura that was different from a moment ago. It was dark now. He was hiding his chakra from before. This was the real Sasuke Uchiha. He was just as dark as Naruto. "You like this Naruto. You like the untamed monster that he is, and you want to keep him that way."

Sasuke's Sharingan shifted phases as he gazed at Nagato. "Such noble words coming from a murderer. A man that has taken so many lives, and not cared in the slightest when he did it. Cut the shit already. At this point, no one in this world is better than the other. Still, someone has to rule it. That someone is doing that right now. Which was what you wanted all along. So, who's side are you going to be on?"

Sasuke smirked as he looked at Nagato. A smirk that would make Naruto proud. His bloody eyes glowing from the small lit fire. The cave's dwelling giving off the illusion that he was the demon that Nagato was talking about. "Nagato. When you pick Naruto's side. Will you guide us to the ten tails statue before you decide to join the afterlife?"

End of chapter.

Eh, this was a chapter that I wanted to get out of the way. The set up chapter for what is to come. Still had some cool points in Naruto showing his dominance over the older generation. Sasuke still being a ride or die for his new family.

Welp, see you next Saturday!
