(A/N: Apparently, us Australians get to see the rest of Season 2 of Dragons Rising first on 9GO. I prefer waiting for the Netflix release as I get anxious from weekly releases)

Many hours later, it was now morning as Lloyd, Kai, Jay, Zane, Nya, Geoff, Gewuji, Blake, Maggie and Hayden were following Dragon across the bridge to the gardens while guards were flying by and citizens move around. "This truly is a city of wonders." Dragon said, amazed by the view. "Look at these gardens. Have you ever seen anything so magnificent?"

"It sure is pretty." Lloyd replied.

"Really wish I brought a camera." Geoff said.

"Thought you were gonna say something like, 'I could do a music video here.'" Maggie sarcastically replied to her husband, teasingly nudging him in his side with her cane.

"Can't keep doing it all the time."

"Where's Cole?" Jay asked, coming up next to Dragon. "He's missing all of this."

"Ah, he's probably just sulking in his room, since we did not believe him about that dream of a purple creature that wore his mother's locket attacking him in his bed." Blake sarcastically replied, putting his hands behind his head.

"I agree." Gewuji said. "And seriously, those scratches on his arm? I bet he just scratched himself in his sleep."

"Kind of strange, though." Lloyd replied. "I mean, when I saw him last night, he wore gloves to bed."

"Don't tell me you're starting to belie-" Jay was soon interrupted.

"Master Wu!" Vania was heard as everyone stopped to see her coming up from behind some bushes after exiting the tunnel, completely dirty, hair bun in a mess and kimono partly torn. "Master Wu!" She starts to get out of the bushes, hissing in pain from stepping on some prickers. "Oh, ouch! Fiddlesticks." She rushes toward them. "Wait!"

"Princess?" Dragon asked.

"Oh, thank the mountain." She stops in front of him.

"What happened?" Nya asked.

"Why are you so dirty?" Geoff asked.

"I went into the dungeons with Cole and we found something terrible!" Vania replied.

"Dungeons?" Dragon asked, confused.

"There's an underground mine full of these little creatures, and they're all chained up and they're being forced to dig by these evil skeletons with whips, and Cole stayed behind to rescue them and he told me to come back and get help."

"Whoa, slow down, princess." Hayden said, putting a hand by her shoulder. "What's this about Cole again?"

Vania calms down a little. "In the underground mine, Cole and I saw these creatures being forced to dig by evil skeletons. He stayed behind to free them and told me to get help."

"What?" Lloyd asked, completely shocked.

"We have to tell my father to send his guards. Come on!" She takes off and they start to follow her.

In the throne room, Vania had explained to her father about what had happened the previous night, and he was quite displeased as he turned away. "I'm very disappointed, Vania." He said before turning back. "It is forbidden to enter the mountain! The rule of law is there for a reason. It is unsafe below." He soon stood up. "Not only did you endanger yourself, but you have also endangered our guests."

Vania looks away, terrified. "I..." She looks back, ashamed. "I'm sorry, father."

"I humbly beg your forgiveness, Master Wu." Vangelis bows to him. "I will send three brigades of my ablest guards at once!" He immediately hovers in the air and descended to the ground. "They will find your friend." Dragon bows to him in appreciation. "Have no fear."

"We'll go too." Kai said, coming up to him.

"I... cannot allow that. The dungeons are treacherous. We have lived here for centuries, and even we do not enter them lightly. There are things that dwell below that... should not be disturbed."

"So the creature Cole saw was real?" Nya asked.

"Then it really did scratch him." Blake replied.

"You told me I imagined it!" Vania said to her father.

"I said what I had to, to protect you, child." Vangelis replied before putting a hand on her shoulder. "One day, when you are older, you'll understand." She looks away as Vangelis turns to the Ninja, Maggie, Dragon and Hayden. "Now, time is of the essence." He ascends to the air. "I must dispatch my men. I ask you all to remain calm and stay here."

"We can't just stay here!" Kai said.

"Cole is our friend." Geoff said.

"Yeah, we have to help." Jay said.

"It is out of the question!" Vangelis replied.

"At least let one of us accompany your men." Blake said. "One alone is better than all at once."

"Absolutely not! I will not put anyone else in danger. My men will bring your friend back. Trust in them."

Gewuji started to move forward. "As if I would-"

Dragon stops her. "Of course, King Vangelis." He cuts her off before bowing. "We will do as you ask."

"Thank you." Vangelis replied. "Now please, I have much to attend." He then turned to Vania. "As do you, Vania." She looks away, a little saddened as Vangelis flies away.

In the lobby outside the throne room, the Ninja, Maggie and Hayden came up to Dragon by the stairs. "You don't really think we're gonna sit this one out, do you?" Lloyd asked.

"No, of course not." Dragon replied. "But angering the King will solve nothing." He then turned to the doors as Vania was leaving. "Princess... I don't want to get you into any more trouble, but... do you think you could perhaps show us-"

"The way into the dungeons?" She asked, cutting him off while coming up next to him, holding lit torches. "You bet." She winks and hands Dragon one of the torches. "Follow me!" She takes off as they look at her.

"Okay." Lloyd said, a little suspicious about her.

Cole didn't know how long he was out for as he was lying down on the ground in a cage. His gi was partially torn, and his belt, shoulder pad and pouch were gone. The cage door soon opened and a couple of skeletons enter before one of them pokes at him to wake him up. "Okay, okay, I get the point!" He said, getting up and walks out of the cage before the skeletons grab him by his arms and force him to walk with them as he watched the purple creatures and the green creatures excavating, groaning from tiredness before they bring over to a nearby pile of rocks where a ball and chain was. One of the skeletons picks it up before strapping the cuff around his waist before handing the other skeletons the keys, which he sees it put it by a rib to hang before walking away, and the Skelton pushes Cole down. He gets up to glare at it as it picks up a pickaxe and throws it at him which he catches and growls at him and points at the rocks, motioning him to work. Cole immediately went over to a nearby rock before striking it with the pickaxe, briefly glaring at the skeleton as it left before turning to a nearby green creature. "Hey. Psst! I'm Cole." He hits the rock with the pickaxe.

"Murt." The creature said while hitting the rock it was working at.

"How long have you been down here, Murt?"

"Long time. Like you."

Cole was soon confused, "What? No, I... I just got here."

"Me too. Long time."

He starts to look around before turning to a nearby purple creature with an eyepatch. "Hey. Hey, buddy. Any way out of here?" He whispered.

"No." The purple creature replied before a nearby skeleton swung its whip at them, frightening them before it snarls, motioning them to get back to work.

"Okay, okay." Cole turns back to his assigned rock and strikes it as the skeleton walks away. "Hope Vania managed to make it out and tell the others."

Once the Ninja had briefly snuck into the Bounty to retrieve their weapons, Vania leads them into the palace grounds before guiding them towards the tunnel entrance. "Here it is." She said before she soon sighed. "I wish I could go with you. I feel like this is all my fault."

"No, we don't want you to get into any more trouble." Nya said, reassuring her.

"We'll handle it from here." Blake said, coming up to her and taking the torch from her before he and Nya head in.

"Yeah, you've done enough." Gewuji rudely said, nudging her before heading in herself.

"Sis, that was rude!" Geoff replied as he looked on.

"Come on, guys." Lloyd said before he, Kai and Jay head in before Zane and Geoff notice Dragon not moving.

"Master?"

"Go on without me, guys." Dragon said. "I would only slow you down."

"Master Wu, that is not so." Zane replied, disagreeing with the idea.

"It is, no matter how much I wish it weren't."

"I would come along, but I'm retired and I'm in no condition to help because of my leg." Maggie said, motioning to her broken leg.

"I'm gonna stay behind too." Hayden said.

"Not afraid of mines, are you?" Geoff teasingly asked.

Hayden soon pouted while glaring at him. "No. I hate getting dragged into your messes."

"Suit yourself." Geoff turns around to head into the dungeon.

"Now go, quickly before someone sees you." Dragon said, handing his torch to Zane before he heads in to catch up with the others, and Maggie, Dragon, Hayden and Vania look on.

(A/N: I'm sure you'll know why I made Maggie and Hayden stay behind)
