Ballonlea Gym Battles (Part Three)
Once Luna enters the Test Area, he walks onto the stage and began answering the questions she was asked, and battled the gym trainers. She answered only one question incorrectly, but despite that, she was able to defeat the trainers and complete the Gym Test.
"Very good; you passed the Gym Test." said Opal.
"Yeah!" replied Luna.
Moments later, Luna and Opal were walking onto the battlefield; Lincoln and his sisters and friends, as well as his family, the McBrides, the Santiagos, and Simon Sharp were watching in the Louds living room. Luna and Opal were facing each other while an official walks to the center of the field.
"This gym battle will be against the Gym Leader Madam Opal, and the Gym Challenger Luna Loud." said the official. "Both trainers will use four Pokemon. Whichever trainer is able to defeat all of their opponent's Pokemon will be the winner. Let the match begin." Luna and Opal both walked to opposite ends of the battlefield; once there, they each pull out a pokeball.
"Mawile, go." said Opal, tossing Mawile's pokeball and releasing it.
"Opal starts things off with her Mawile; what will Luna bring out?" asked the announcer.
"Poliwhirl, let's go, dude!" said Luna, throwing Poliwhirl's pokeball, and releasing him.
"And Luna starts off with a Poliwhirl." said the announcer. Mawile's ponytail jaws open towards Poliwhirl, making him nervous, and weakening his attack strength.
"And Mawile's Intimidate ability has taken effect." said the announcer.
"Okay, Poliwhirl, Mud Shot!" said Luna. Poliwhirl launches a ball of mud at Mawile, hitting it, and dealing super effective damage to it, as well as weakening its speed. "Too bad Intimidate doesn't weaken special attack strength, Opal."
"Mawile, use Draining Kiss!" said Opal. Mawile runs at Poliwhirl and kisses him, draining some of his stamina, as well as healing her wounds.
"Poliwhirl, use Earth Power!" said Luna. Poliwhirl becomes surrounded by a golden glow and the ground begins to shake; golden cracks form from below Poliwhirl and they spread towards Mawile, hitting it, and dealing super effective damage, as well as weakening its special defense.
"Mawile, use Crunch!" said Opal. Mawile leaps at Poliwhirl and bites him with its ponytail jaws, damaging him, and weakening his defense.
"Poliwhirl, use Mud Shot again!" said Luna. Poliwhirl launches another ball of mud at Mawile, hitting it, and dealing super effective damage; Mawile falls to the ground, unconscious.
"Mawile is unable to battle. Poliwhirl wins." said the official.
"Luna's Poliwhirl has beaten Opal's Mawile. What will Opal do now?" asked the announcer.
"Way to go, Lunes!" cheered Sam.
"Way to use that mud, Poliwhirl!" said Lana. Opal returns Mawile to its pokeball.
"You did well, dearie." said Opal. She puts Mawile's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Go, Weezing!" She tosses Weezing's pokeball and releases it.
"Opal's next Pokemon is her Weezing." said the announcer.
"Question!" said Opal. "What is my nickname? The magic-user or the wizard?"
"Um, the wizard?" replied Luna.
"Correct." said Opal. A surge of energy goes through Poliwhirl and his defense increases. "It would appear your Poliwhirl has regained the defense he lost from my Mawile's Crunch."
"Awesome! Okay, Poliwhirl, Rain Dance!" said Luna. Poliwhirl begins to dance; gray clouds formed above the battlefield, and it begins to rain.
"Now Poliwhirl's water attack will become stronger." said Lincoln.
"Maybe if we're ever in Hulbury, Luna should buy like a Wave or Sea Incense for Poliwhirl." said Leni.
"We'll suggest that to Luna after her battle." said Clyde.
"Weezing, Sludge Bomb!" said Opal. Weezing launches a ball of sludge from its mouth, and it hits Poliwhirl, damaging him; it turned purple under Poliwhirl's eyes.
"Oh man, Poliwhirl's poisoned!" said Ronnie Anne.
"Lunes won't let that stop her." said Sam.
"Poliwhirl, Bubble Beam!" said Luna. Poliwhirl fires multiple glowing bubbles at Weezing, hitting it, and dealing more damage than it normally would be due to Rain Dance powering up Poliwhirl's water attacks. Poliwhirl coughs from his poisoning and loses stamina.
"Weezing, Strange Steam!" said Opal. Weezing fires multicolored steam from the smokestack on its head and it hits Poliwhirl, damaging him; he then begins to stumble around.
"I think Poliwhirl's confused." said Lincoln.
"Poliwhirl, try using Body Slam!" said Luna. Poliwhirl jumps up and comes down, but he misses Weezing and hits the ground, damaging himself. He loses more stamina from his poisoning. Poliwhirl struggles to get up.
"Double Hit!" said Opal. Weezing flies at Poliwhirl and rams him, knocking him up into the air; Weezing then rams Poliwhirl again, knocking him to the ground, unconscious.
"Poliwhirl is unable to battle. Weezing wins." said the official.
"Opal's Weezing has defeated Luna's Poliwhirl, now both are down to three Pokemon." said the announcer.
"Ooh, that must've hurt." said Lynn Jr.
"Don't worry, Luna still can turn this around." said Lynn Sr.
"Oh, I hope so." said Rita. Back at Ballonlea Stadium, Luna returns Poliwhirl to his pokeball.
"You were rocking out there, Poliwhirl." said Luna. She puts Poliwhirl's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Let's go, Exploud!" She throws Exploud's pokeball and releases him.
"Luna's next Pokemon is an Exploud." said the announcer.
"Okay, Exploud, use Supersonic!" said Luna. Exploud releases soundwaves from his mouth and they hit Weezing; it begins floating around, dizzily. "Now you're Pokemon's confused."
"But will it be enough to help Exploud?" replied Opal. "Weezing, Strange Steam!" Weezing was able to get through its confusion and fires multicolored steam from its smokestack at Exploud, hitting him; fortunatlely, it didn't cause Exploud to be confused.
"Exploud, Stomp!" said Luna. Exploud leaps at Weezing and stomps down onto it, damaging him, and making it flinch. "Now use Echoed Voice!" Exploud lets out a loud yell and releases soundwaves at Weezing, hitting it, and dealing damage.
"Weezing, Double Hit!" said Opal. Weezing flies at Exploud and rams him, knocking him back, then Weezing rams him again.
"Use Echoed Voice again." said Luna. Exploud lets out a louder yell, releasing bigger soundwaves at Weezing, hitting it, and knocking it out.
"Weezing is unable to battle. Exploud wins." said the official.
"And Luna's Exploud has beaten Opal's Weezing, bringing her down to two Pokmeon." said the official. At the Loud house.
"Yeah! She showed that Weezing not to mess with a Loud's Pokemon." said Lynn Jr.
"Literally." said Lori.
"I hope Opal's not 'steamed' from that loss; Ha ha ha, get it." said Luan, perferring to Weezing's Strange Steam attack; everyone moans in response. Back at Ballonlea Stadium, Opal returns Weezing to its pokeball.
"You did quite well, Weezing." said Opal. She puts Weezing's pokeball away and pulls out another one. "Go, Togekiss." She tosses Togekiss' pokeball and releases it.
"Opal's next Pokemon is Togekiss." said the announcer.
"Her Togekiss is so elegant." said Lola.
"Don't forget; we're rooting for Exploud." said Lana.
"Whatever." replied Lola.
"Question!" said Opal. "What is my favorite color; Purple or Pink?"
"Pink." said Luna.
"Incorrect." said Opal. Exploud begins to slump and his speed decreases. "Togekiss, Air Slash!" Togekiss' wings glowed white, and it begins flapping them, releasing circular blades of energy from them and they hit Exploud, damaging him.
"Exploud, Echoed Voice!" said Luna. Exploud lets out an even louder yell and they hit Togekiss, damaging it.
"Togekiss, Metronome!" said Opal. Togekiss waves its wings side to side until they flashed a white light. A ball of blue-green electricity (Zap Cannon) forms in front of Togekiss and she launches it at Exploud, hitting him. Exploud begins to twitch and static surrounds his body.
"I think Exploud's paralyzed!" said Lincoln.
"Exploud, use Echoed Voice!" said Luna. Unfortunately, parlysis stopped Exploud from letting out a yell.
"Togekiss, Aura Sphere!" said Opal. Togekiss forms a ball of light blue energy between its wings, and it launches it at Exploud, hitting it, and dealing super effective damage, knocking it out.
"Exploud is unable to battle. Togekiss wins." said the official.
"Opal's Togekiss has defeated Luna's Exploud. What will Luna do now?" asked the announcer.
"Keep battling, that's what." said Sam. Luna returns Exploud to his pokeball.
"You were awesome out there, Exploud." said Luna. She puts Exploud's pokeball away and she pulls out another one. "Go, Gigalith!" She throws Gigalith's pokeball and releases her.
"Luna's third Pokemon is a Gigalith." said the announcer.
"Togekiss, Aura Sphere!" said Togekiss. Togekiss forms a blue ball of energy between its wings, and she launches it at Gigalith, hitting it, and dealing super effective damage to it.
"Gigalith, Smack Down!" said Luna. Gigalith forms a golden ball of energy and launches it at Togekiss, hitting it, and dealing super effective damage to it, knocking it to the ground.
"Togekiss, Aura Sphere!" said Opal. Togekiss launches another ball of blue energy at Gigalith, hitting it, and dealing super effective damage to it.
"Gigalith, Rock Slide!" said Luna. Multiple gray rocks appeared in front of Gigalith; she sends them flying at Togekiss and they hit her, dealing super effective damage, and knocking it out.
"Togekiss is unable to battle. Gigalith wins." said the official.
"Luna's Gigalith has defeated Opal's Togekiss; now Opal has one Pokemon left." said the announcer.
"Way to go, Luna!" said Lincoln.
"You and Gigalith were both rockin!" said Sam. Lola looked in sadness at the unconscious Togekiss. Opal returns Togekiss to its pokeball.
"You deserve a nice rest, Togekiss." said Opal. She returns Togekiss to its pokeball; she puts it away and pulls out another one.
"You're doing well so far, Luna; but you still need to beat my final Pokemon to earn my Fairy Badge." said Opal.
"Bring it on." replied Luna.
"Very well; Alcremie, go!" said Opal, tossing Alcremie's pokeball and releasing it.
"Opal's final Pokemon is her Alcremie." said the announcer. Opal then returns her Alcremie to its pokeball, then uses a Dynamax Band she was wearing to enlarge it; she then heaves it as hard as she could, releasing her now Gigantamaxed Alcremie. "And Opal had Gigantimaxed her Alcremie." Leni was restraining Lana while she was trying to run at Alcremie while drooling while Lola tries to restrain herself from doing so.
"Alcremie, Max Overgrowth!" said Opal. Alcremie launches seeds into the ground around Gigalith. Large blades of grass and mushrooms grow from the ground and they explode into green energy, dealing super effective to Gigalith and knocking her out.
"Gigalith is unable to battle. Alcremie wins." said the announcer.
"Opal's Alcremie has beaten Luna's Gigalith, now Luna is also down to her last Pokemon." said the announcer. Luna returns Gigalith to her pokeball.
"You were rockin' out there, Gigalith." said Luna. She puts Gigalith's pokeball away and pulls out another pokeball. "Toxtricity, go!" She throws it, releasing her Toxtricity.
"And Luna's final Pokemon is Toxtricity." said the announcer. Luna then returns Toxtricity to its pokeball and enlarges it with her Dynamax Band; she throws it and releases a now Gigantimaxed Toxtricity. "Now it's Gigantimaxed Pokemon vs Gigantimaxed Pokemon! How will this end?"
"Question!" said Opal. "How old am I? 16 or 88?"
"88." said Luna.
"I'm not pleased with that answer." said Opal. Toxtricity begins to slump as his attack strength decreases.
"Bogus." said Luna. "Okay, Toxtricity, G-Max Stun Shock!" Toxtricity takes out a pink guitar made of electrity and he swings it, releasing a purple bolt of electricty from above Alcremie, hitting it, and damaging it. Alcremie turned a light shade of purple.
"I think Alcremie's poisoned." said Lincoln. Lana stopped trying to get at Alcremie and sits on her seat.
"Alcremie, Max Mindstorm!" said Opal. Alcremie releases multicolored rings of energy from above it at Toxtricity and hits him, dealing super effective damage. Alcremie loses stamina from its poisoning.
"Toxtricity, Max Ooze!" said Luna. Purple ooze forms around Toxtricity; then purple ooze formed below Alcremie and it shoots up around it, hitting it, and dealing super effective damage to it. Toxtricity begins surging with energy and his special attack strength increases.
"Max Mindstorm!" said Opal. Alcremie unleashes multiple multicolored rings of energy at Toxtricity, hitting it,and dealing super effective damage to it. Toxtricity struggles to stay on his feet. Alcremie loses more stamina from its poisoning. Alcremie suddenly shrinks down to her regular size.
"And it appears Alcremie has returned to its regular form." said the announcer.
"Toxtricity, G-Max Stun Shock!" said Luna. Toxtricity swings his electrical guitar and purple lightning shoots down at Alcremie, hitting it, and knocking it out.
"Alcremie is unable to battle. Toxtricity wins. The winner of this gym battle is the gym challenger, Luna Loud." said the official.
"It's over! After a hard-fought battle, Luna's Toxtricity has defeated Opal's Alcremie and earning Luna the victory!" said the official.
"Yeah!" said Luna. She takes out her guitar and begins jamming to it while Toxtricity returns to his regular form.
"Way to go, Lunes!" cheered Sam.
"That was amazing!" said Lincoln. At Royal Woods, everyone was cheering.
"Luna did it!" said Luan.
"I never doubted her." said Rita.
"None of us did." said Lisa. Back at Ballonlea stadium, Opal returns Alcremie to its pokeball.
"You were splendid, Alcremie." said Opal. She puts Alcremie's pokeball away and walks to Luna, making her stop jamming on her guitar. "You did a fine job training your Pokemon, Luna."
"Thanks, Opal." said Luna. Opal then holds out a Fairy Badge.
"For your victory here, I present you with the Fairy Badge." said Opal. Luna takes the Fairy Badge, as well as pokedollars. Later at the lobby, Sam was hugging Luna while nuzzling her cheek.
"You were so radical out there, Lunes." said Sam.
"Congratulations, Luna." said Lincoln.
"Wish you didn't have to be too rough with Togekiss." said Lola with a pout.
"Deal with it, sis." said Lana. An official walks over to the group.
"Which of you is next?" asked the official.
"I am." said Sam.
"Very well." said the official. "Enter the test area when you're ready."
'You got it." said Sam.
"Good luck, Sam." said Luna.
"Thanks." said Sam before she kisses Luna on the cheek and enters the test area.
Sam manages to answer all the questions she was asked and defeat all three of the trainers she battled against.
Later in the stadium's battle area, Sam and Opal were walking towards each other; they soon reach the center and look each other over.
"I hope you give me a good battle like the Loud siblings before you did." said Opal.
"I will definitely give you one to remember." said Sam with a grin. The two go to opposite ends of the field as an official comes to the center.
"This gym battle will be against the Gym Leader Madam Opal, and the Gym Challenger Sam Sharp." said the official. "Both trainers will use four Pokemon. Whichever trainer is able to defeat all of their opponent's Pokemon will be the winner. Let the match begin." Sam and Opal then each pull a pokeball off their waists.
"Mawile, come out, dearie." said Opal as she tosses her pokeball, releasing her Mawile.
"And Opal starts out with her Mawile!" said the announcer.
"Stunfisk, come out, dudette!" said Sam as she tosses her pokeball, releasing her Stunfisk.
"And Sam brings out a Stunfisk!" said the official. "How will it do against Opal's Mawile?" Mawile's Intimidate ability activates, weakening Sam's Stunfisk.
"Mawile, use Crunch!" said Opal. Mawile leaps at Stunfisk and chomps down on her with its ponytail jaws, doing damage, and weakening Stunfisk's defense.
"Stunfisk, use Mud Shot!" said Sam. Stunfisk launches a ball of mud at Mawile, hitting it, dealing super effective damage, and lowers its speed. "Now use Muddy Water!" Stunfisk summons up a wave of brown that washes over Mawile, dealing damage.
"Haven't seen water that brown since the last bath I took." said Lana.
"When was that?" asked Lola.
"Last month I think." said Lana.
"You're disgusting!" said Lola.
"Mawile, use Bite!" said Opal. Mawile's ponytail jaws bite down on Stunfisk, dealing damage; fortunately for Sam, her Pokemon doesn't flinch.
"Stunfisk, use Revenge!" said Sam. A blast of orange energy erupts from Stunfisk's body that hits Mawile, doing enough damage to knock it out.
"Mawile is unable to battle. Stunfisk is the winner." said the official.
"Way to go, Stunfisk!" said Sam, making her Pokemon flop around with joy.
"And Stunfisk takes out Mawile!" said the announcer. "What will Opal use next?"
"Keep it up, Sam!" said Luna.
"You got this!" said Lana.
Back in Royal Woods, everyone at the Loud house was supporting Sam.
"She's doing good so far!" said Lynn Sr.
"This is so cool!" said Simon.
"I hope she wins." said Luan.
Back at Ballonlea Stadium, Opal was returning her Mawile to its pokeball.
"You rest up, dearie." said Opal before putting Mawile's pokeball back on her waist; she pulls off another one and tosses it, releasing her Weezing.
"Opal's next Pokemon is her Weezing!" said the announcer. "Can it beat Sam's Stunfisk?"
"Question!" said Opal. "What is my nickname? The magic user or wizard?"
"Wizard sounds more like a nickname, so I'll go with that." said Sam.
"Correct!" said Opal. A surge of energy rises up from Stunfisk. "Now Stunfisk's speed is increased.
"And I'll put it to good use!" said Sam. "Stunfisk, use Metal Claw!" Once of Stunfisk's fins turns into metal and she slashes at Weezing, hitting it, and dealing super effective damage; a surge of energy rises up from Stunfisk.
"Metal Claw increased Stunfisk's attack power!" said Clyde.
"Rad!" said Luna.
"Weezing, use Heat Wave!" said Opal. Weezing releases a blast of fiery hot breath that hits Stunfisk, dealing super effective damage; parts of her body catch fire.
"And Stunfisk's burned!" said the announcer. "Can it hang in there and beat Opal's Weezing?!"
"Stunfisk, use Metal Claw again!" said Sam. Stunfisk slashes at Weezing again, dealing super effective damage; she suddenly takes damage from the burn.
"Weezing, use Assurance!" said Opal. Weezing rams into Stunfisk, dealing enough damage to knock Stunfisk out.
"Stunfisk is unable to battle. Weezing is the winner." said the official.
"And Sam's Stunfisk is defeated!" said the announcer. "Now both trainers are down to three Pokemon. What will happen next?"
"Bogus." said Luna.
"She can still win!" said Lana.
"We gotta believe in her." said Clyde.
Back at the Loud house, everyone was watching the battle rage on.
"Poor Stunfisk." said Rita.
"I hope Sam can still win." said Lori.
"She will!" said Simon.
Back at Ballonlea Stadium, Sam was returning her Stunfisk to her pokeball.
"Just chill for now, dudette." said Sam. She puts Stunfisk's pokeball away and pulls another one off her waist; she tosses it, releasing her Meowstic.
"And Sam's next Pokemon is a Meowstic!" said the announcer. "Can it handle Opal's Weezing?!"
"Meowstic, use Fake Out!" said Sam. Meowstic moves quickly at the Weezing and claps her hands together in front of it's main face, startling it, and making it fall, hurting itself along with making it flinch. "Now use Psybeam!" Meowstic then releases a beam of psychic energy that hits Weezing, dealing super effective damage; Weezing then starts floating around dizzily.
"And it looks like Weezing is confused!" said the announcer.
"Weezing, use Assurance!" said Opal. Weezing charges at Meowstic and rams her, dealing lots of super effective damage.
"Meowstic, use Confusion!" said Sam. Meowstic's eyes glow blue, making a similar-colored aura over Weezing who then gets slammed hard into the arena floor, dealing enough super effective damage to knock it out.
"Weezing is unable to battle. Meowstic is the winner." said the official.
"And Meowstic defeats Weezing!" said the announcer. "Now Opal's down to only two Pokemon!"
"You can do it, Sam!" said Luna.
"We're right her for you!" said Ronnie Anne.
"Totes!" said Leni.
Back at the Loud house; everyone there was cheering Sam on.
"Sweet!" said Lynn Jr.
"She's halfway there!" said Lynn Sr.
"Keep it up, sis!" said Simon.
Back at Ballonlea Stadium, Opal returns her Weezing to its pokeball.
"Rest well, dearie." said Opal. She puts Weezing's pokeball away and pulls another one off her waist; she throws it, releasing her Togekiss.
"And Opal's third Pokemon is her Togekiss!" said the announcer. "Can it beat Sam's Meowstic?"
"Question!" said Opal. "What's my favorite color? Pink or purple?"
"Pink?" Sam answered.
"Wrong!" said Opal. Energy leaves Meowstic. "Now her special attack strength has weakened."
"Bummer!" said Sam.
"Togekiss, use Tri Attack!" said Opal. Togekiss fires off three beams of energy from its body that hit Meowstic, dealing damage to her; she suddenly starts to twitch.
"Meowstic's paralyzed!" said Luna.
"Meowstic, use Psybeam!" said Sam. Meowstic fights through paralysis and releases a beam of psychic energy from her hands that hit Togekiss.
"Togekiss, use Air Slash!" said Opal. Togekiss releases a blade of wind that hits Meowstic, dealing enough damage to knock her out.
"Meowstic is unable to battle. Togekiss is the winner." said the official.
"And Sam's Meowstic goes down!" said the announcer. "Now both trainers have two Pokemon remaining!"
"Sam will win!" said Luna.
"We all know she will!" said Ronnie Anne.
Back at the Loud house, everyone was supporting Sam.
"I hope Sam can still win." said Rita.
"She will!" said Simon.
"We believe in her." said Lori.
Back at Ballonlea Stadium, Sam was returning her Meowstic to her pokeball.
"Rest up, Meowstic." said Sam. She puts Meowstic's pokeball back on her waist and pulls off another one; she tosses it, releasing her Steelix.
"And Sam's next Pokemon is a Steelix!" said the announcer. "Will it be able to take down Opal's Togekiss?'
"Steelix, use Rock Slide!" said Sam. Steelix summons up a bunch of large rocks and drops them onto Togekiss, dealing super effective damage.
"Togekiss, use Aura Sphere!" said Opal. Togekiss launches a ball of blue energy at Steelix, hitting her, and doing super effective damage.
"Steelix, use Screech!" said Sam. Steelix releases a high-pitched shriek that weakens Togekiss' defense.
"Togekiss, use another Aura Sphere!" said Opal. Togekiss hits Steelix with another ball of blue energy, dealing super effective damage again; Steelix was starting to breath hard.
"Sam better do something!" said Lola.
"Steelix, use Slam!" said Sam. Steelix slams her tail onto Togekiss, driving it into the ground, and knocking it out.
"Togekiss is unable to battle. Steelix is the winner." said the official.
"And Sam's Steelix takes out Opal's Togekiss!" said the announcer. "Now Opal's down to her last Pokemon. Will she be able to turn things around?"
"Good work, Sam!" said Lana.
"She just has to beat one more Pokemon and she'll win!" said Luna.
"She's got this!" said Ronnie Anne.
Back at the Loud house, everyone was cheering for her.
"One more to go!" said Lynn Jr.
"She can win!" said Simon.
"We know she can." said Lori.
Back at Ballonlea Stadium, Opal returns her Togekiss to its pokeball.
"You've earned a rest,dearie." said Opal. She puts Togekiss' pokeball back on her waist and pulls off her last one; she tosses it, releasing her Alcremie.
"And Opal brings out her Alcremie!" said the announcer. "We all know what's coming next!". Opal then returns her Alcremie to its pokeball, then uses a Dynamax Band she was wearing to enlarge it; she then heaves it as hard as she could, releasing her now Gigantamaxed Alcremie. "And Opal had Gigantimaxed her Alcremie."
"Question!" said Opal. "How old am I? 16 or 88?"
"16?" Sam said, not wanting to offend Opal.
"Correct!" said Opal. A surge of power rises up from Steelix. "Now your Pokemon's attack power has increased."
Sam considers using her Dynamax Band to Dynamax her Steelix, but she wanted to save it for later.
"Alcremie, use Max Overgrowth!" said Opal. Alcremie releases a bunch of green seeds from her body that surround Steelix and release beams of green energy, dealing enough damage to knock her out.
"Steelix is unable to battle. Alcremie is the winner." said the official.
"And Steelix goes down!" said the announcer. "Now Sam's down to one Pokemon. Will it turn this match around and bring Sam the victory?"
"Don't give up, Sam!" said Luna.
"You can do it!" said Clyde.
Back at the Loud house, everyone was continuing to support Sam.
"It's gonna be close." said Lynn Sr.
"You can do it, Sam!" said Simon.
Back at Ballonlea Stadium, glowing green grass comes out from the arena floor.
"And Opal's last move has made a Grassy Terrain appear on the field." said the announcer. Sam returns her Steelix to her pokeball.
"You earned a rest, Steelix." said Sam. She puts Steelix's pokeball back on her waist and pulls off her last one; she tosses it, releasing her Toxtricity.
"And Sam's last Pokemon is a Toxtricity!" said the announcer. Sam then returns Toxtricity to its pokeball and enlarges it with her Dynamax Band; she throws it and releases a now Gigantimaxed Toxtricity. "Deja Vu! Gigantamaxed Alcremie vs Gigantamaxed Toxtricity! Will this be a repeat of Luna Loud's battle, or will Opal emerge victorious?!"
"Toxtricity, use Max Ooze!" said Sam. A large puddle of purple slime rises from the arena floor that then washes over Alcremie, dealing super effective damage, and increasing her special attack. Suddenly, the Grassy Terrain heals Alcremie a little.
"Alcremie, use Max Strike!" said Opal. Alcremie makes a geyser of energy shoot out from beneath Toxtricity, dealing damage, and lowering her speed.
"Toxtricity, use Max Lightning!" said Sam. A large bolt of lightning shoots down from the sky that hits Alcremie, dealing damage; the air becomes electric.
"And Toxtricity's attack has made Electric Terrain appear!" said the announcer.
"Alcremie, use Max Strike again!" said Opal. Alcremie hits Toxtricity with another geyser of energy, damaging her along with reducing her speed. Alcremie then returns to her normal size.
"And Alcremie is back to normal! That can't be good for Opal!" said the announcer.
"Toxtricity, use G-Max Stun Shock!" said Sam. Toxtricity brings out a guitar made of dark pink electricity and draws energy from the Electric Terrain; she slams it onto Alcremie, creating a shockwave that shakes the battlefield. When the dust clears, Alcremie was knocked out.
"Alcremie is unable to battle. Toxtricity is the winner. The winner of the match is the Gym Challenger Sam Sharp." said the official.
"Sam's done it!" said the announcer. "In a close match, Sam manages to score the victory over Opal!"
"Sam won!" cheered Luna.
"We knew she could do it!" said Clyde.
"Totes!" said Leni.
Back at the Loud house, everyone was celebrating Sam's victory.
"She did it!" said Lynn Jr.
"That was literally amazing!" said Lori.
"So cool!" said Simon.
Back at Ballonlea Stadium, Opal returns her Alcremie to its pokeball.
"You rest for now, Alcremie." said Opal. She puts the pokeball back on her waist and walks over to Sam. "Congratulations, dearie."
"Thank you, ma'am." said Sam. Opal then reaches into a pocket and pulls out a Fairy Badge.
"As proof of your victory, I present you with the Fairy Badge." said Opal. She hands the badge, along with pokedollars, to Sam who holds it up in triumph.
Later, at the lobby, everyone was congratulating Sam.
"That was rockin, Sam." said Luna, hugging Sam.
"It sure was." said Ronnie Anne.
"You were amazing." said Lincoln. An official walks over to them.
"Which of you is next?" asked the official.
"I am." said Lucy from behind the official, scaring him.
"When you're ready, go into the Test Area." said the official after recovering from Lucy's scare.
Luna and Sam have earned their Fairy Badges; will Lucy be able to do the same? Wait and find out.
